NAME: Fospha Astrapi
(From phosphorus. Phosphorus means ‘lightbearer’ in Greek, which could be taken to represent her lightning. Phosphorus is representative of Venus, the planet of beauty and love. Furthermore, ‘lightbearer’ translated to latin is ‘Lucifer’.)
TITLES: ‘Princess’, Lady, High Priestess, Director, Officer
SPECIES: Doragon (Alien B): Bronze
AGE: 24
GENDER: Female
STARTING PLANET: Vegeta
APPEARANCE: General Appearance.
Fospha is a Doragon, although you might have a hard time figuring that out at a glance. She has the long ears typical of her kind, although many other similar-looking species also have this. If it weren’t for her highly-indicative tail— and, you know, those massive horns— she might’ve passed for a Konatsian. Her skin colour is what a human might call ‘olive’. Also her tongue is grey-purple, thinner and longer than what you’d expect from a human, but otherwise not noteworthy.
Her horns go out from the back of her head. They are sharp and well-cleaned. They aren’t very useful for stabbing people with, but they’re quite intimidating and decent at conducting her lightning.
Owing to the vaguely aquatic nature of Bronze Doragons, her bronze scaled tail has an aquatic-style webbed spine going down it (like the tail here, except bronze not green). This, alongside the odd tongue, are the only indicators of any aquatic nature.
Her eyes are yellow-bronze. Although hard to tell usually, in a dark room, one might notice that they actually glow in the dark a bit. Below each of her eyes are long, orange triangle-shaped tattoos. She has decided to keep these, not because they’re a symbol of a culture she’d like to remember, but because they’re cute yet can quickly turn intimidating when her lightning is channelled through them to make them glow yellow.
She has hair. There is a lot of it. It is an orange-y blonde.
In her role as a diplomat and administrator, she wears a long orange cloak with a secondary colour in yellow, with a dress of a deeper orange below it. They are both, of course, made of very fine fabric. If she’s expecting combat… why should she dress any differently? I’m going to win, regardless.
BACKGROUND:
Quite a while ago, due to circumstances too contexted to be properly explained in so short a text, a doragon colony was established on Vegeta. This colony enjoyed great protections from the Saiyan kingdom, especially as it became more peaceful in nature.
After some vague struggles an unspecified amount of time ago, there was a great chief— called even, by some accounts, a king— Astrapi, a tall bronze doragon with unparalleled magical control. His sons and their sons before them were both trained to be great chiefs (and occasionally chieftesses) and, luckily enough, were, making the position hereditary in all but name.
Noxen was a wise and strong chief in a long line of wise and strong chiefs. He was grooming his son, Klorin, to become the next chief and was having his daughter, Fospha, train to become their High Priestess.
Fospha was not originally intended to become the High Priestess. Initially, she was spoilt and raised with the promise that just about any materialistic thing she wanted, she would get. Here, her developing materialism wedged her to the verge (or perhaps over the verge) of psychopathy. However, likely due to a random mutation in her genetic structure, she was devoid of the usual green highlights and eye colour found in bronze doragons and also had comparatively few draconic features. This led the public to believe that she was divinely ordained, an image Fospha purposely bolstered. But Noxen was growing weary of his daughter; he was worried she could become the Chieftess through popular rapport and her schemes… there was much more he should have been worried about.
In an effort to simultaneously appease the public but also remove Fospha from the doragon political scene, Chief Noxen made the decision to make her the High Priestess. Not only did this spite one of his rivals whose niece would have otherwise gotten the position but the position also had the added benefit (aside from those sweet under-eye tattoos) of sending her off to the saiyan Cacumber Capital (as, traditionally, the High Priestess of the Vegeta doragons acted as a diplomat to the saiyans).
These precautions, of course, only enabled.
One day, some alien diplomats came to visit. As if a school excursion, Fospha was allowed to view the diplomatic processes taking place: the Olxites, from the planet of Olx (which the saiyans’ starcharts had another name for), had only recently developed space travel and were seeking to trade their rare metals with Vegeta.
But Fospha noticed that something was off. Their accents sounded artificial, and the ship they got there in seemed old and not suited to the Olxites’ physiologies. Indeed, wasn’t ‘OLX’ just ‘WTF’ shifted eight letters across?
At the end of the first half of their diplomatic mission, the ‘Olxites’ left Vegeta to return back to ‘Olx’— in reality, a WTF space station. The ‘Olxites’ were actually miscellaneous aliens hired by the WTF to play their part while they were actually supposed to snoop around and gauge Vegeta’s defences.
What they didn’t know, though, was that Fospha had snuck on board. She made herself an audience in General Fokrah, the genius/troll behind the spying on Vegeta. She made him an offer: she’ll use her position as a diplomat in Cacumber Capital and as a ‘princess’ of Vegeta’s doragon colony to influence and supply information for and to the WTF, as well as help in the invasion she found they were planning. In return, all she asked was a job. Soon enough the ‘Olxites’ were back on Vegeta and Fospha returned to her duties soon enough to not be noticed.
Fospha was careful in what information she shared with the WTF. She cared not for her people’s survival but had to ensure that the Fleet always needed more of her information— many were insistent that their invasion would have to be masterful, efficient, and this could only come around with a thorough understanding of the enemy. Relatively quickly, WTF trust in Fospha grew to the point where she was strategising some aspects of their invasion plan herself (of Cacumber Capital, anyway)— all the while, Fospha was pretending to be a caring, considerate diplomat ensuring easy Saiyan–Doragon cooperation as well as carrying out her official duties as High Priestess.
Eventually, the day of invasion came. Everything went off without a hitch: Fospha was able to use her popular support to convince many of the doragon colony that the ships they saw in the sky were saiyan ships coming to kill them. The chaos of this ‘pseudo-coup’ was useful, both in bulldozing unwanted buildings and noticeably denting the planet’s doragon population (as such a population wasn’t strictly desired by its soon-to-be overlords). In general, the whole invasion went beautifully… well, except for that one thing.
General Fokrah was too proud of his attack plans to not partake in the invasion himself. It’s a shame, though, that when he thought he was flying into the shield generators building to disable some of the city’s shields, he actually flew straight into the elite soldiers’ quarters without any backup… shame. If only whoever was sending him that information hadn’t gotten that slight tidbit wrong… at least his definitely-not-forged last will and testament gave all of his wealth, possessions and titles to Fospha.
Given the power she now had within the WTF, she quickly began using it to afford herself even more power. After a few well-thought out and lethal political moves, Fospha became the WTF’s Director of Vegeta. She was open to overseeing the bidding for the planet, and also to ‘terminating’ ‘unwanted customers’ or ‘revolting livestock’ if need be.
And yet, even then, she would not stop trying in her constant ascending of the ranks. She had plots involving Namek’s ever-loosening asteroid protection system, and perhaps also had in mind becoming the WTF’s Chief Executive Officer.
If only a bit.
If only for the zeni.
TECHNIQUES:
OFFENSIVE TECHNIQUES:
[N1] Zeppole Zap
The offensive application of Fospha’s lightning magic. It can be channelled in a variety of ways and can come out in unarmed combat through being channelled through a weapon, a ball, a beam, etcetera. However, there are always constants: it is always the same golden-yellow lightning, it always deals 33% of her PL and it always costs 1KP.
[UP2] Zany Zeppole Zap
Like the Zeppole Zap, except 66% and 2KP.
SUPPORT TECHNIQUES:
[SU1] Zap Zoom
Fospha brings an aura of electricity around her that allows her to move more quickly, out of the way of attacks up to 100% of her PL. It costs 1 KP.
[SU2] Zappy Zoom
Fospha brings an aura of electricity around her, even transforming her extremities into electricity to make herself much faster. This allows her to move more quickly, out of the way of attacks up to 150% of her PL. It costs 2 KP.
[SU3] Zappity Zoom
Fospha turns into a purely electrical draconic figure for a short time that can move very quickly. This allows her to move out of the way of attacks up to 200% of her PL. It costs 3 KP.
UTILITY TECHNIQUES:
RACIAL TRAITS:
DRAGON ENERGY (WORKAHOLIC): Fospha’s Royal Doragon bloodline grants her large amounts of power with little or no effort on her part. As a result, until 80,000 PL, her XP to PL conversion baseline is 1.2.
JUMPSTART: Fospha is especially prolific with lightning magic, both because of her bloodline and inherent talent. She begins with two extra technique slots at character creation.
RAMPANT: Not being adapted to the powers of her ancestors sends Fospha into a feral state. Her three (final) dragon forms need Tech Slots to be used to gain control at certain PL intervals. (That is, 17x, 23x and 46x)
