Scallio's mind was overrun by thoughts of events that had taken place over the past two months. From his heinous act of slaughter on Knutts that had forced Narissa to distance herself from him. To the more recent introduction of his mother into his life. The latter of which had not only caused uncomfortable emotions to resurface but sent him into a blind rage. Scallio's anger refused to go away, even now, days after they'd went there separate ways.
He could still feel it crawling underneath the surface of his skin. Scallio preferred it over the option. The option dealing with the rest of those feelings laying below all that anger. They were feelings Scallio was trying so desperately to ignore. The Saiyan was in need of something to take his mind off it all. In search of that distraction departed the Hunter's Harborage without warning. Taking off into the skies without so much as a look back.
That had been little over an hour ago now and the Saiyan had yet to find anything. From the stories he'd heard from others, he'd been under the assumption that Earth was rife with activity. Perhaps they'd just been exaggerations? Scallio resolved to keep looking for the time being. A decision that proved fruitful for the young Saiyan. Dashing through the evening sky Scallio's eyes caught sight of several sets of flashing lights ahead of him. As he drew closer to the lights the source became clear.
At least 4 police vehicles were parked sideways on the highway. The policemen that the cars belonged to were using them as cover from oncoming gunfire. Their attacker were situated ahead a fair distance ahead of them. Two large black vans and at least eleven men firing automatic weapons.
"Perfect." the Saiyan muttered before landing in the middle of the gunfire. The bullets harmlessly bouncing off his skin.
"Hey, who the hell is that!" came a shout from behind the Saiyan.
"Some moron just landed right in the line of fire! Get out of here you fool!"
"The bullets bounced right off him boss."
Scallio scoffed and spread his arms out pointing one at a police vehicle and the other at one of the vans. "Let's see how long you last." an orange launched from both of his hands. They collided against the two targeted vehicles causing two simultaneous explosions to trigger.
Hero of the people he wasn't.

What a wonderful time of the year to go on a hiking expedition in the West. Though hiking wasn't a common activity of Maki's, it was something he occasionally did to clear his head. Giving the temperate nature of the West, few days were bad days for such a sport, and many different trails were available. Given his speed, he could fly all the way back to South City before his dinner was ready if he wanted. Hopefully he wouldn't stay out too long, or his mother would scold him about what a bad influence his uncle was, and how he should care more about his studies. One could suppose hiking was another way to escape the troubles of daily life. At least for a teenager like himself.
It wouldn't take long for the tranquil mode of the day to end however, as the sound of gun fire would be heard in the distance. That mean trouble, and though he wasn't strong enough to deal with common crooks in the past, his newfound strength would be more than capable of taking down a few thugs. The earthling would begin running in the distance of the sound when he would hear a large explosion. Two of them in fact. "What the? Someone must be packing explo--" The earthling's words would be cut off as he felt a high power level. This energy must belong to some sort of miscreant, it felt like anarchy... "I have to help... Even If I'm not that strong..."
Knowing what he had to do, Maki would take to the skies and dart over to where the fighting appeared to be. It was a horrific scene. Police were in a gun fight against a group of gangsters, and there was an armored saiyan in the middle of them both. The man appeared to be blasting indiscriminately. This was chaos, it was evil. The earthling would have none of it. Raising his power level as high as it would go, the grappler intended to get the saiyan's attention.
"Hey! You wanna fight saiyan!? You've got a fight!"
Not giving the criminal any time to respond, Maki would fire a small white beam of ki at him, following up with a series of several ki blasts from the air. "How pathetic. You pray on beings with power levels that low..."

“In a shocking turn of events, the gunfight taking place on Highway 9 has turned explosive. We are not yet sure on all of the details, however the blasts seem to have come from an unknown assailant. We will continue to cover the story as it unfolds.”
“Aw geez, aw crap!” Tarch was scrambling in his room in search of his saiyan armor. The possible irony that the Western Verge was in trouble not even a month after he got home was not lost on him. To make matters worse, he had no idea where his brother wandered off to. If this was Chromo causing trouble for his former home once more he would squish that little bug! Since saving the city from certain destruction, the teen had felt an odd sort of responsibility for the place. Even if Highway 9 was technically outside City limits. Tarch grumbled as he realized he must have left his armor at his mom’s house. Regular clothes it was then!
Tarch had just stepped a single foot out the door when he felt a hand catch him by the tail. “And just where do you think you’re going, young man?” He looked back to see his father staring down at him with narrowed eyes.
“M-me? Just goin out.” Not a lie technically.
“Where out?” Tarch looked around the house as if searching for any possible excuse. Unfortunately, he was damn near incapable of lying. With a deep breath, he decided honesty, no matter how stupid it was, was the best policy.
“Look. I just want to make sure it’s not him. I promise I’ll be careful.”
His father groaned in defeat. “Be home by nine.”
In a flash, Tarch was soaring high above the west. To his relief, the power causing all of the trouble did not belong to his younger brother. That being said, it was definitely higher than the average human, or even the average fighter on Earth. Worse still he could pick out two distinct power levels. He just had to hope they weren’t working together. Unless Chromo was using his swarm. A distant look, however, did confirm it was not any sort of bio-andoird… probably. He already came this far though, he may as well see if he could do something here. Tarch landed close by, hiding behind the wreckage of one of the overturned cars. It looked like a saiyan was the cause of this mess. At least the one to make things worse. A pretty strong looking human did seem to be standing up to him. Tarch peeked out from behind his hiding spot.
“Uh excuse me?” he called to the two, his tone clearly shaky with nerves. “Uh hi! Look uh… West City kinda just went through a lot. I mean I know this isn’t the city but we’re pretty close. The point is the people here just got back from being dead. So if you could… not blow people up. I-if I’m interrupting you two I can, y’know, leave. But i-if you hurt people again I’ll have to stop you.” Not the most eloquent hero was he. Even at his strength, something about playing the good guy got him incredibly nervous. Still, he meant every word of it. Plus social anxiety aside, he knew he was strong enough to back up his claim. On the other hand, he would hate to interrupt these two if they were about to have a fight. Especially when there was a fellow Saiyan involved.
His assault on the gangsters and the cops had been entirely one-sided so far. Something that he didn't expect was going to change anytime soon. The mercenary currently had one of the gangster's lifted several inches off the ground by the cuff of their shirt. An effort that only required the Saiyan to make use of a single arm. Scallio looked almost disinterested in what he was doing as he locked eyes with the gangster. There was so much fear present within the man's irises. Scallio wondered if the gangster had seen that same panicked and fear-stricken expression on his own victims.
If he did, had the thought of sparing their lives even crossed the ganger's mind? Or did he perhaps take delight in their suffering and instead continue on without hesitation?
Neither of the two had managed to infiltrate Scallio's thoughts as he stared at his victim. Not even as the Saiyan sent his hand piercing into the gangster's chest. The man's body turned limp and lifeless in his hands and still, nothing changed. Scallio felt no sense of remorse, relief, or excitement like he'd been hoping. He felt only the anger and pain that his encounter with Amara had left him with.
Frustrated and disappointed Scallio tossed the gangster's lifeless body onto the ground. "Why won't it go away?" his stoic expression turned into a scowl, "If you Earthlings were stronger maybe it would!" he exclaimed with mild irritation and angry glares towards both groups. "Tck or maybe if I kill a few more of you it would help too..." he muttered and began to walk towards the remaining gangsters.
Scallio had barely even lifted his foot when Maki's first ki blast hit against his back. The light sting it provided was all Scallio needed to know that someone stronger had just arrived. He didn't have much time think, however, as Maki sent more ki blasts slamming into him from the sky. The Saiyan muttered under his breath, "Irritating..." and sent a burst of energy out from his body. Causing the remaining ki blasts to dissipate into nothingness.
"Pathetic? Coming from the coward attacking from the sky that's really rich." Scallio scoffed, "You are right about them being ridiculously weak." that was much both true and obvious by now. With the violent eruption of his ki the concrete beneath Scallio's feet began to splinter and crack. His aura flickered around him wildly as he took aim at the Earthling. "They were just a distraction until someone more entertaining came along." even then it was all still an attempt at avoidance.
Energy began to build within Scallio's hand as he prepared to fire off an attack. "Megasta-" he stopped having been cut off by words of yet another new arrival. This one was obviously a teenager and younger one at that. If forced to take a guess Scallio would have to say that he was either twelve or thirteen. Not that the kid's aged mattered. Especially considering the level of bravery he'd just shown by stepping forward. It was respectable and had Scallio been in the right state of mind he might have said as much.
The Saiyan instead brief glared at Tarch intensely and despite hearing his speech gave no acknowledgment that it happened. Merely shouting, "Beat it kid, before you get hurt." and then returning his attention to Maki.
"Time for a little payback." Scallio method of attack had changed. Rather than firing a beam of energy as he'd originally planned. He flung a highly condensed sphere of ki towards Maki.

Now this was trouble, the man had finally noticed the earthling only to launch a big attack at him. It was coming to quickly to dodge, and it would likely hurt a lot if it hit. Unfortunately, that was an attack he had to take. Crossing his arms in preparation to block, Maki would plant his feet into the road. Before he even knew it, a crimson attack was flung his way, and collided against his guard. The resulting explosion would level the highway and kick up dust all around them. As the smoke cleared, Maki would stand covered in scratches and bruises. It seemed that a giant crater had formed around where he stood, thanks to the explosion. It was clear that the man was injured, and it didn't take long either.
"Nice-- Shot-- Punk!" the earthling had hardly noticed the arrival of another saiyan, but would see Tarch in the air. It appeared he wanted to step in, and stop any kind of destruction that was going on. It was very noble of the boy, but the teen felt something in the pit of his stomach. For some reason, he felt this was his fight, and his fight alone. With that realization in mind, he would kindly remark to the kid "Don't worry about it kid. I've got this guy under control... Trust me."
Now he just needed to back up that claim, and he had the perfect technique for that. Clenching his fists, and spreading his legs, the earthling would begin charging his energy. A white aura surrounded him, and even lifted pieces of rock off the ground. Bio-electricity would begin to form around his hands, as he brought both of them above his head. The electricity would soon turn to a white orb, and it was condensing Maki's power. He hoped Amara was watching somewhere, because it was finally time to use that technique. "White Lightning!"
The teen would bring down both arms, firing a beam of white ki from his hands that was surrounded with electricity. That attack looked devastating, as it had everything the guy could muster behind it. The street would tear as it streaked towards his opponent, Maki just hoped it would hit. "My master taught me this one!"
