NAME PUN: Lunatus is a pun off the scientific name of the lima bean: Phaseolus lunatus
ALIASES:
-Lunatus (Preferred name)
-Lunatic (Occasionally by his friends)
-Brother (By his creations)
-Green Bean
-Greenie
SPECIES: Android
AGE: Thirty years since activation
GENDER: Male
STARTING PLANET: Earth
APPEARANCE: Standing about 5'10" and having a slim build, Lunatus' metal body is designed to resemble a human young adult. His synthetic light-green hair is kept messy, sticking out in multiple directions. Some stands of his hair fall over his green eyes and long dark lashes. His skin is pale and does not possess the natural blush that humans may have, one of the few indications that he is not human.
Lunatus dresses casually, often wearing a striped shirt with a boat symbol, gray pants, and dark slip-on shoes. In addition to his outfit, he wears multiple accessories such as necklaces, bracelets and several devices upon his ears which are disguised as earrings.
BACKGROUND: Lunatus's legacy began with a scientist who shared the same name as him. The human Lunatus was an intelligent and renowned scientist who had made contributions to the field he studied. However, as he grew older, the scientist knew that he would soon die. As he had no family nor student he took under his wing, there was nobody he trusted to share his knowledge and research with. Eventually, an idea came to him: create an android which he would be able to pass his knowledge down to. And so he began to create an android, designed to appear how he used to look in his younger days. In addition, he would also create an AI that would contain all the knowledge he possessed and updated it constantly. After several years, Lunatus had finally finished the android's body, calling him Automation #7143 for the time being.
For a couple of decades, #7143 was kept inactive as Lunatus' intention was to activate him when he was on his deathbed. However, he was still cared for by the scientist constantly. There wasn't even a single speck of dust on his body, and his memories and knowledge were updated at the very least once per day. Lunatus cared for his creation as if he was his own child. The scientist wanted his future body to be in pristine and top shape when he had died. Lunatus would also provide him with multiple other guides to help him through his new life.
Eventually, the day finally came. At the ripe age of 84, Lunatus activated #7143 for the first time. As he expected, the android was a near perfect copy of him, holding all the uploaded memories, data and research he had accumulated over the years. However, what the scientist forgot to upload was his personality. As such, the android had none, acting on his own and learning from whatever he read or saw. Before Lunatus was able to help #7143 gain these skills, he would pass away, leaving the android alone with nothing but his father's words and his name.
The newly christened Lunatus wasn't sure of what to do with his existence. Without a guide, he was only able to do what he was programmed to do. For many months, he did nothing but build. He would build himself metal toys, structures, and even mechanical companions. It was all he knew how to do. One day, Lunatus had found his way out of the laboratory and into the scientist old home. There he found all of his old possessions and a TV. Upon booting it up, Lunatus entered a new world for the first time.
Lunatus would spend countless hours in front of the TV, watching reruns of old sit-coms or watching trashy movies. It was through the TV where he began to learn about human culture (or at least the basics of it). Eventually, he began to develop a personality of his own after emulating some of the actors onscreen. The android began to yearn for human interaction, to have friends, to have people he can spend time with. After some time, Lunatus began his hardest task yet: creating life out of nothing.
While he still had his father's knowledge of how to create a sentient android, he did not have the materials he had. Because of this, Lunatus was left with a daunting task: to enter the human world for the first time. However, desperate to have a friend, to have someone he would be able to relate to he was willing to overcome his fears. After twenty-five years, Lunatus escaped the safety of his home.
Being integrated into human society was daunting and awkward at the beginning, especially as he had no social skills. The personality he gained from watching all the movies were outdated as the world around him had changed. Fortunately, Lunatus had made a few friends who help him along. Slowly, the once empty android eventually began to gain humanity and even emotions. However now that he experienced the outside world, he did not want to stay confined in the lab. Even after five years, Lunatus continues to travel the world, still in search of the materials to create his friends and possibly learn to become human.
TECHNIQUES:
OFFENSIVE TECHNIQUES: None
SUPPORT TECHNIQUES: None
UTILITY TECHNIQUES:
-Transmission [UT1]: Due to a chip that is implanted within his systems, Lunatus emits a signal from his CPU that allows him to communicate with his creations mentally. This ability can also extend to other living life forms or androids by intercepting with the electric signals in the brain or other android's "brain". (Flavored telepathy)
(I'd like to save my two other starter technique slots for later use)
