The windy morning had done little to stop Sashouka from setting out from the Sleepy Easy and moving to the Rugged North. The man's normal Spinach Waste attire was complimented with a sleeved version of his shirt, with a furred neck and cuffs. His boots were wrapped in an extra layer and sealed with fur as well, a simple modification for the most part. Insulating himself properly had been important, even with the Nimbus sputtering along beside him with his supplies making this sort of trek remarkably simple. Flying to the peak had been an option as well, but the man hadn't come here to take the easy route. Even if the steps weren't hard or the climbs no challenge, they were done with clear thoughts behind each one. And it had allowed a remarkable pace of scaling the impressive Mt. Frappe, sash billowing wildly as the purple-haired man finished climbing the last bit of rock up onto one of the higher cliffs of the impressive mountain.
His ears were covered in simple muffs, the band resting atop the thin head of purple hair. There wasn't a need for goggles, but he wore a red scarf tugged tight around the lower end of his face and secured by those muffs to protect the biting winds from his mouth. Overall, worrying about his head wasn't a big concern even with so little hair when someone had the ability to warm up with ki, but the clothes allowed the warrior little expended effort for a weight that didn't hinder the mobility of ki-fighters. Moving to a rock near the cliff whilst the Nimbus sputtered up alongside, Sashouka sat down and moved a hand immediately to pat the pack-carrying cloud as his eyes turned out over the vast expanse and edge of the cliff.
"Pumsen will just have to deal with it. Today, buddy, is about finally breaking it. We're going to finally find the piece I need to break the wall."
The cloud couldn't respond, leaving Sashouka to sit in the silence of the winds and snow without conversation. That was fine, too. After all, the peak up ahead would be where the dojo master would finally find the means to fully tear away the wall that allowed student, friends, and enemies alike to rise beyond. It wasn't about technique, but understanding his reason and desire for that power to come together.
It was the first time he could admit that his focus wasn't fixed on the ability to deliver a strike, but to understand why he threw the strike. Not for the thrill of combat, to sate the desires of a warrior within, but the logic and the philosophical dribble behind it all. This mountain would give birth to someone who could ascend beyond his limits. And until it did, Ronin had no intentions of leaving.

The chilly wind of the rugged north bit into his form but Konowata paid it no mind. Dressed already comfortably enough with a thick blazer and a hoodie underneath it the only thing he had seen to add to his outfit had been a scarf and a pair of gloves to keep his hands warm as he held his duffle bag meant he was somewhat safe from the cold. While it had been jarring at first due to the difference of temperatures between here and South city he was starting to get used to it as best he could.
His mind was also too occupied to worry about things such as the cold while his hand unintentionally went to scratch at his chest as he dwelt. The accident as Kono had begun to call it hadn’t necessarily shaken him but it had made him think about what he really was doing and the obvious answer was that he actually had no idea. He had no clear-cut goal, no objective to actively strive for beyond just managing to pull through wherever the flow took him. In way that’s what he had been doing even before the whole occult fiasco.
The encounter at the hotel just finally managed to push everything into perspective and actually make the black-haired youth think about it. After he had woken up in a nearby village with his wounds already treated thanks to his followers Kono came to an epiphany about what he could try. Surprisingly it came from the words of his temporary teacher “Don’t wait for life to throw what you need. Find it yourself instead.” Looking back, it actually even sounded almost sagely and fitting for a teacher, almost.
It was because of that memory after a long talk with his aid and gathering what supplies he could reasonably gather in a duffle bag Konowata set out on a journey of self-discovery. He could have easily flown around and probably he would do so but for now the youth was content to just walk on foot as he aimed towards his first destination. He was not sure why he had decided to climb it or how the action would aid his search but he stuck to it.
Kono was though, tougher than most normal humans for certain but he also didn’t have experience with mountain climbing and that’s why his ascend was slow and steady with all of his attention focused on it. Maybe that was why as he was going higher the youth didn’t sense or more like his mind didn’t register that he wasn’t the only human up there anymore. So still ignorant with a bit off effort, he pushed himself up and finally found himself on one of the high cliffs that littered Mt. Frappe.
Cracking his neck and releasing a small sigh of content Konowata turned to look over the edge and judge his journey so far. Only then did he finally notice that he wasn’t the only one up on this rock as his eyes landed on the seated form of purple haired male and a floating cloud. Not the strangest sight he had seen but it was pretty out there. Kono berated himself for not paying attention to his sense internally as he moved a bit closer and greeted the mysterious person, no need to be rude in case they meant no harm “Hello there, I hope I am not interrupting. Didn’t really think I’d find anyone else up here.”

Long trails of tracks could be seen in the show, a lone darker figured completely wrapped down in clothing. Ronin is his teacher, so where he goes. Kong was not too far away. It was a bit windy, scratch that it was too windy. Climates like this were too harsh for Kong's own personal taste. He made sure to dress for the occasion, granted he didn't have the luxury of having a lot of fur, so he just made sure to layer up to the extreme. Almost to the point where he was unrecognizable. He almost looked like a large fat man with how much clothes he had on.
"Once you master the art of ki. Even extremely cold temperatures won't be able to faze you."
Words from his grandpa, but this seemed like an impossible task. Maybe he could learn a bit from Ronin, he hated the idea of having to rely on someone else but this seemed like the only way. "If I remember correctly, Ronin went this way?" The snow was throwing off his concentration, he really really REALLY hated the cold. Ronin really had to be tough to handle situations like this with ease.
"I should of flew.." He thought to himself while trying to surge his ki throughout his body for flight. But these icy winds were throwing off his focus, so as soon as he got up he went falling back down into the snow. "Oh yeah..now i remember why I don't try and fly." The most useful thing he coulda done was just energy sense up, Ronin was close. But with the icy winds that blind the vision, it was almost impossible to see or hear anyone.
"When I see Ronin..imma give me a piece of my min-" Rubbing his eyes, he looked and there he was. Ronin, but there was someone else. This weather must have really been throwing off Kong's game because he didn't even sense that someone else was there.

Not one, but two had arrived not but a few moments after setting in. Sashouka's gaze turned first to the newest face, before the gaze turned over toward that of one of his students. The scarf he wore to protect his lower face had done poorly at hiding his signature hair, he supposed. One of his fingers was moved up and tugged under the lip of the cloth, dragging it down to expose his face as the wind adjusted and tugged the sash in another direction with the immense force of the cold gale.
"I suppose a student was expected, but..." Those line-like eyes turned toward the unnamed individual, the hand on the Nimbus moving away to set on his knee. It was far safer to move the hand so that he could react in an instant. "You are not interrupting, however."
Rising from the stone, the martial artist tugged the scarf back and allowed both of his arms to fall to either side. The man's gaze turned toward the brilliant sun in the distance, the few clouds that spotted the sky almost parallel it seemed like with just how high they were. Scenery aside, this harsh weather around the peak didn't take away from this moment so why allow the interruption of others to soil it? A flurry of snow rushed across the cliff the trio were positioned at, Ronin's ki rising into a fiery glow as his strength from within rose. Understanding his power had been a journey over the entire lifetime, but this peak would be the place the wall holding him back finally broke down. One's ki and strength were one thing, but learning to draw that power out was what defined a warrior. Raising his hand as the fiery orange power rushed brighter and brighter, his power level skyrocketing, his voice reached out once more.
"Have either of you ever heard of what fighters call the wall? The point where one's body begins shutting down in defiance, to try and stop you?"

Konowata did not miss the second arrival though he probably would have dismissed him had it not been for the words of the purple haired male. It got worse when the guy suddenly powered up dramatically and become an orange beacon of power. The action made Kono’s whole body tense as he cast weary eyes on the other two on the cliff while he slowly fell into a fighting stance. It could possibly be a trap, it was not the first time someone had monologued at him while others attacked him.
Slowly his own crimson aura began to rise around him to match the opposing one. Kono wasn’t sure if he would be able to take both of them on if the other one also had a similar strength but he was going to try. Or at least was until he processed what actually was being said. The whole hotel accident had gotten him way too damn paranoid if he was almost immediately ready to throw down. So, with a sigh he lowered his hands and allowed his aura to die down at least externally, couldn’t be too careful after all.
Looking over the horizon while still keeping the others in his peripheral vision he mulled over his response. Konowata remembered vaguely his one-time teacher mentioning something about limits and hitting a wall but it had been vague and not as informative per usual. The black-haired youth searched deeper in his own experiences if he even had noticed something like that. Nothing came up so maybe hadn’t exactly hit that wall or he had just been in so many life and death experiences that his body had been forced to adapt gradually and push beyond such things.
Those were just his thoughts though so they could be incorrect none the less Kono figured it was about time he gave at least some sort of response and as such rose his voice enough to be heard “First just to make sure this aint some elaborate and nefarious trap yeah? As for your question well, I know of it vaguely bit I can’t say to have experienced or seen those effects. Or maybe I did and cheated my way through, life and death situation tend to do that you know. Despite my wants I am not the most proper of martial artists you see.” In a way all those crazy training methods suddenly made sense but Kono wasn’t about to believe that just yet.

Kong was practically shaking in all this clothing as he looked over at Ronin. "Huh? The WA- A-A-ACHOOOooo." Letting loose a loud sneeze before Kong rubbed his nose with his sleeve. "Excuse me." He looked up towards Ronin and then towards Konowata. This windy weather was really getting to him, it seemed like the icy winds were going through the cracks in his clothing. How Ronin and Konowata went through this without bothering them was beyond Kong's understanding. Suddenly a large course of wind start kicking up more and more snow, Kong had to dig his feet into the ground just to hold on. But as he was trying to squint through the madness, he saw Ronin at the center powering up. His aura aligning up with the rising sun, it was almost warming.
However at the same time this other guy started powering up. Kong wanted to do the same, but only if he could. Knowing that he possessed the ability and being able to activate the ability were two totally different things. It took him a bit of concentration to hear Ronin's words, but they eventually came to fruition. Hearing the other guys answer a bit before trying to come up with his own.
He began marching bit by bit through the snow, closing the gap inbetween the two, and for some reason he felt like he was being looked at. A bit more than usual, locking eyes for a bit Kono.
Kong went over to take his own seat on an open stone, reminessing the time he spend with his grandpa. " The Wall, as my grandpa told me. I'm gonna try and explain it in my own words." Staring forward at the snow before giving his answer. " I consider it as like uh. Self limiters? But it's not the same for everyone. To each their own." He starting motioning with his hands into the air infront of him. " It's like we have the ability to reach limitless potential so to say? But there's something naturally within us that tries to hold us from reaching that point. So we do training and what not to break it? If that makes sense?" Kong wasn't entirely sure if he was making complete sense and didn't sound like total garbage. But after his explanation, he used the time to keep bundled up in all this clothing.
"Couldn't he have chosen a warmer place to do this?" Kong thought to himself, but knowing Ronin he had to have some good reason to be here in this cold temperature.

Both of the pairs had their own stories, their own takes in understanding. One spoke of knowing it vaguely but believing they hadn't hit it or had cheated such a thing. The other, Kong, spoke of a basis of theory that his grandfather had given him. Suffice to say, both came across as wrong to Sashouka, not quite grasping what it was that these walls truly were. A limiter imposed upon one? Of course. Something that could be defied through pushing one's self? Sometimes. But neither were the full answer nor the right one, the sash-wearing man pushing up and away from the cliff to move a small distance into the air near the peak. No point trying to address whether this was a trap or not, considering that saying so wouldn't have calmed him in such a position.
Floating some distance from the cliff-face, with the Nimbus puttering out slowly but clearly having some trouble without being close to the mountainside to protect it from the worst of the winds, Sashouka didn't turn back to face them until the purple-haired man was many feet out and above what would be a fatal fall to most Earthlings. There wasn't fear, however, in the eyes of the ki warrior.
"I chose this place for a reason, Kong. Because a wall is not something as simple as a limiter. Even the greatest warriors can find that moment where their power refuses to budge. I was shown something that helped me find part of the reason I can't grow. This peak was the only place to tap into that... to draw it out. But why not just follow me and see if you can understand what this wall really is? I think it'll be a lot of fun."
Extending his arm, Sashouka's eyes opened wider as both scarf and sash tugged and wildly flapped with the wind. The gaze was affixed to upturning hand, fingers uncurling just as the ki rushed and formed a carefully controlled orb. There wasn't a name for the mysterious figure, but neither that nor Kong's presence mattered much. It was about showing himself what he needed to see. Both of his eyes turned toward the rocky peak's descent, turning the palm and hand toward them before firing the singular ki blast. It struck the snowy rock, blowing away a good chunk. Not that it mattered much, since the snow quickly stuck and tugged at the missing pieces. Much like this mountain, that had weathered eternity, Sashouka was rigid and lacked flexibility. So it was time to let loose... to call to the fighter's spirit within. So his ki stopped carrying him and he fell.
Sashouka fell and fired, ki blasts stinging the surface of the mountain as he went on a fall worthy of any gliding suit-wearing athlete. Of course he didn't have one, but the man was out to enjoy himself and truly let loose in this utterly remote and barren place. Each strike wasn't entirely random, but rather aimed to strike snow deposits. They were preparing for the end of the training ahead of time, slides of ancient ice moving and descending the peak in small adjustments. The Nimbus was puttering along as well, along to make sure that its master didn't splat the ground while lost in an almost reckless ki-throwing mindset.

Konowata made sure to listen carefully to the overly clothed figure as it delivered its own answer on what it thought the wall was. It made a certain sense to the black-haired youth but it didn’t exactly resonate with his being. Maybe everyone had a different definition for it that came from their own experiences or both of them were just talking out of their asses which was also a fairly big possibility. It could be that they were think of something else Kono himself wasn’t overly sure seeing as he was no martial arts philosopher. He still sent a somewhat understanding nod towards the covered-up male though despite everything. The purple haired man didn’t offer his own take on the matter or at least not right away. It didn’t sink right away for Kono what the guy meant exactly as he watched him fly a bit off. Well he didn’t until the idiot shot a Ki blast at the mountain before he cut off his Ki and just started to plummet down. Konowata could only blink owlishly for a second and just as his instincts to jump after the insane fighter the words finally clicked and made sense. The half reached out hand returned to his sides as a low chuckle let loose from his mouth that soon grew into full blown laughter while the spiky haired boy threw his head back. Covering his face with a hand Kono was reminded of another warrior that wasn’t exactly right in the head and how that seemed like something he would do as well. The idea of searching for him briefly passed Konowata’s mind but was then pushed back as right now there were far more important matters to attend to. Pushing a bit of energy in his feet the blazer wearing teenager rose from the ground and with a resigned yet somewhat fond sigh he went pass the cliff face. Using a burst of Ki to somewhat close the distance Konowata positioned himself upside down before cutting it off completely allowing gravity to do its work instead. Pointing two fingers at the cliff face he began to fire simple crimson Ki blasts at it. Turning his head so he could look at the purple idiot Konowata shouted loud enough to be heard “You crazy fool do you have any idea how dangerous this is. Stopping mid fall at high speeds is harder than it looks even more so if you don’t have any experience doing it.” Maybe he was an idiot too for following along and feeling more amused then he probably should have been. Kong tried his best to keep up with what Ronin was stating. But combating that with the sheering cold made the things he spoke go in one of Kong's ears and out the other. He was however able to obtain some pieces of information about this Wall that we all seem to possess internally. Rocking back and forth on the rock in an attempt to regain warmth Kong's eyes suddenly got glued to Ronin. Who was now at the edge of the cliff with his yellow cloud. So Kong began to slowly reach out with his right hand as he was trying to warn him. " Yo uh, Ronin you might wanna be careful you could FAA-" Suddenly rushing up from his seat and over towards the edge and glanced over. There was Ronin alright, falling down the cliff firing blasts at the mountainside, eventually going out of view due to the sheer icy winds that continued to stir. " Why the heck would he.." Looking over towards the stranger as if he had an answer. But he did such a thing that kinda proved his insanity. For some strange reason, he was laughing. Murmuring something to himself before heading towards the edge. " W-wait you're not gonna." But indeed he did, falling off the edge and into the cloudy abyss. Leaving Kong and his thoughts up there at the top. " Wait..can't Ronin even fly?" He began to think to himself, starting to question if this was exactly the best move. " Nope Nope I'm not doing it." He turned, tightly clinging to his clothes to stay warm. " I refuse to do such a thing. It's crazy, a death wish. I am no-" Upon taking a step with his right foot to leave, Kong foot slipped across the icy surface of a frozen stone. Causing him to plummet over the edge as well. " DAMNITTTTTT" His voice echoing as he fell. As he began to fall Kong shifted his weight to turn around, the extra clothes he brought to keep warm were being chucked off his body by the winds flowing in the opposite direction. Revealing his regular uniform underneath Kong crossed his arms while clicking his teeth. " It's s-so cold." Not even really worried about the fact that he was falling to his death. " These guys are crazy..all of them..next time i'm not following them up." He brought his hands down to his side as he started glaring upwards, or what most would consider downwards. Glaring really hard to help grant him some visibility through the icy winds. He could feel their ki's but it was difficult to pinpoint and at least concentrate. A white Ki aura flickering over his body as he began to speed up his descent, the tiny frames for Ronin and Konowata slowly coming into view. He broke free of his ki and allowed gravity to take the rest of his way down. Trying hard to yell at the guys in front of him. " Are you Two Nuts?!" Ronin Sashouka Konowata

"Only the cowardly shy from challenges, crazy or not."
Sashouka's voice had been just loud enough to be heard by both over the sound of his many ki strikes, finally ceasing the volleying attacks before flipping around through their descent as his body righted and aligned as the flattening angle of the lower section of the peak came closer. His ki flared easily enough to counter the fall, only slowing enough to not outright slam the ground as his Nimbus pushed ahead and vanished from the impact. The reason became obvious when the flurry of snow faded, angling backward into a brief roll before rising up to his feet. Although most people couldn't go sliding through snow and stand up, a practitioner of ki control was far from incapable. From above, it looked as if he were snowboarding or skiing without the board or skis, simply sliding along the ground... but that's when the Nimbus rose up from the snow, ferrying him along. It had likely cushioned the blow somewhat, the little cloud sputtering through the snow with tremendous force. It normally flew at incredible speeds, so pushing the top layer of snow was no challenge.
But Ronin's eyes fixed on the outcome of the key-placed attacks, especially those that had been added from the snobbier of the two interlopers. The upper peaks had released plenty of ice and rock by now, collecting into a landslide of an avalanche. And the size of it only grew as it raced toward Sashouka, the man resuming his attacks by throwing single orbs into the mess. But unlike before, their effects were always immediate. Each one struck toward the outside of the falling behemoth of icy destruction, the purple-haired man detonating it back toward the center or blowing away parts of something to better angle it. From above, or from far enough behind the cloud-mounted martial artist, it was simple to spot he was directing the icy cargo into one central, destructive place. It was all preparing to test his body, to push that gate wide... it was a true search for greatness from the ultimate form of challenge. That which could entice him to try and survive, to push him beyond and to the power he needed and wanted.
I won't let that Colonel... I won't let any of them win. I'll grow stronger, faster, more skilled... until I won't be denied the destiny I've fought so hard for my entire life! If I can pass that fervor to others... then that's my job as a teacher and as a warrior to encourage the future warriors to greatness!

Konowata was still not completely sure what was going on or why he was tagging along as he randomly shot Ki blast into the mountain in order to make a landslide. His attention was on the purple haired man as they fall seeing as he wasn’t overly worried about himself though the black-haired teenager still couldn’t believe he would one day get to be thankfully of past experiences for this sort of situation. Actually, looking back his teacher liked to throw him off stuff way too much. He did stop with his firing when the third person joined their little falling group. Turning his head to look at the heavily clothed boy he shouted in indignation “What you mean mad, you should be asking your friend that. I only jumped in in case he couldn’t handle it or something. I…. I have practice with this sort of stuff. I am not crazy okay!” he wasn’t mad just concerned yeah. They were approaching more solid ground though and with some concentration his Ki obediently flowed around him and began to slow down his momentum before bringing him to almost a complete stop. Since he was still a considerable distance away he was able to just observe the actions of the cloud riding warrior with larger insight. He seemed to be directing the landfall into on large mass with more precise Ki strikes aimed at the edges of it. Konowata was not sure if this was some sort of set up to show what the wall looked like or just a personal test. But it looked like the warrior had some clear objective he was striving for regardless of the surrounding interruption be that nature or even people. That’s why the spiky haired youth didn’t interrupt and instead lunched periodically a Ki blast or two towards the edges that tried to spill out in the rare few times cloud man didn’t notice them. Though Kono wasn’t exactly silent and would try to direct some of his attention to the other person that had been up on the cliff with them if he was close “So you two know each other then, is he always like this.” He used one hand to gesture while still not diverting his attention completely so to not miss what the purple head would do next. Whilst the other two kept up their chatter, Sashouka focused on the task at hand. Particularly, the large avalanche running the mountain-scape directly at him. The large amount of snow was formidable by now, Sashouka's world darkening in his own eyes. This wasn't a metaphor for anything, but rather finding where his limits were with taking something massive on. The purple-haired man formed the small disk of ki before those barely revealed lips, the Nimbus slowing slightly as the avalanche raced closer and closer. And just as it seemed ready to swallow the pair, the small segment of power amplified and fired the concentration outward. A beam of red ki accompanied by shouting, Sashouka's attack went into the core of the formation of snow before detonating the sections of ice and sending much of it in a wide dispersal. Large ancient chunks shattered into trickles and mere flakes, the destruction insignificant to the massive and old mountain but none-the-less impressive.
Not that he got to celebrate, as some of the remaining snow wiped him off the top of the cloud and buried the two in a rolling sheet. But the steepness of the cliff had flattened, the angle lost and the speed and weight coming quickly to a halt. The snow broke away in mere seconds, that fiery glow of ki pushing it all away as the Nimbus rose up and out of the mess while Sashouka rose on his own. The only traces of the intimidating dive and the destruction of the group was the heavier sections of snowy flurries descending from the dispersed mass of running ice and snow. That, of course, and the somewhat thinner sections of snow revealing the ancient rock of Mt. Frappe in some places. That wouldn't last long, of course, thanks to the constant snowing. Even after easily destroying all that, however, the sash-fitted man didn't seem very amused. The attack had certainly defined some limits, but far from what was his true boundaries of power. Such a test was, relatively speaking, a failure.
"This was definitely not the ideal way to measure what I needed." His gaze turned toward the followers, grumbling a bit as the warrior part wished that he had been successful enough to at least have something better to say. "Wanting to locate these kinds of walls had been my intent, to push myself and feel where it was... but I suppose testing myself in this method would require more extensive time... which makes the attempt impractical."
Crossing his arms, Sashouka pulled his winter gear all back into place before turning and hovering on over to once more plop down onto his companion cloud. But unlike before, where he stood atop it, the winter-geared nomad sat down and crossed his legs.
"Sorry to have ranted on... but I encourage you to seek me out at the Spinach Wastes. Maybe when we meet, I'll have found what I sought and broken that wall. As is, this just unfortunately wasted my time. I could have spent this time making Scorpion Dojo's arena look nice... for however long this newest one lasted..."
Mumbling to himself as the cloud sputtered off, Sashouka's eyes closed and the darkness of focus replaced itself with natural darkness. Learning to focus in was a useful tool, but at the moment the tool had no use. This phenomenon of breaking the wall, of truly knowing where it was to shatter it, wasn't going to be a trivial nor instant gratification goal. It would need a bit more time and the proper environment...
Exiting.
Kong retired his character, so no more posts coming from him. With how it's been nearly two weeks since I threw my last post in, though, I figured I'd end it so we can thread more properly in the future. Hopefully we can avoid the awful pace destruction in that one.
