Backside Recruitment [Invite]

At the signal of the ringing bell, Kari slugged her heavy backpack over her shoulder. Digging her hands into the pocket of her jacket, she would soon produce the small, folded up note she had found in her locker. Reading its contents once more, her mind began to wander as her eyes scanned the neat handwriting. What did Choco want to talk to her about? Did he miss a few classes and needed the notes? Or perhaps he wanted to talk to her as a fighter rather than a student? Regardless, it was only a few minutes before the chameleon managed to navigate her way behind the school, making a brief stop to her locker to put away a few items. Like the note had mentioned she had found him leaning against the school's wall. "Hey!" She called out towards the deer, trying to get his attention. "What's up Choco? Saw your note." 

Taking the note, she would begin reading some of the contents aloud, although she did her best to keep her voice quiet so it would not attract any unwanted attention. "'Meet me behind the school once it lets out. I need to talk to you about something.' What's the big thing you want to talk to me about?" While Kari had no idea what he wanted to talk to her about, she was willing to lend an ear. After all, she had some time to kill.

Dumbfounded. Kari honestly couldn't believe what she was hearing. An ancient rebellion group? Looking at the logo that Choco had created, it wasn't anything that she had recognized. Was this one of those groups that were lost to history? And if so, how did Choco even find out about it in the first place? Sure she knew he was a fighter himself, but she hadn't expected him to go on mini adventures that would give him knowledge of groups lost to time. However, his final words quickly jerked her away from her musing. "You want to remake the group?" She asked, her voice barely audible. 

She wanted to be excited for him. She wanted to be happy and congratulate him for taking such a daunting and difficult task. However, Kari couldn't help but feel anything but doubt. How did he intend to remake the group? Was he going to stick with their core values and rebel against the world government? She shivered at the thought. If he truly wanted to rebel against the government... it wasn't a task that she would be able to support him on. Thankfully, Choco would quickly elaborate his plans, mentioning he wanted to train and prepare for any threats that was heading towards Earth. The look of astonishment still was glued on the chameleon's now yellow face, unsure of what to make of all this. Spending a few moments in stunned silence, Kari would find her words once again.

"Choco, your plan sounds amazing. But do you really think you can do it? It's not going to be easy recreating an old group." She began to fret. The astonishment melted into a longing as she starred at Choco. "Not only that, you want me to join you. I'm really not a good fighter. You're overselling me." She placed up a hand and shook her head. However upon realizing her actions might make it seem like she was declining them, she quickly backpedaled. "I'm not declining you or anything. I'm just saying, I'm probably not the best choice for a member. However, if you're still willing to accept me." Gathering up what little confidence she had, Kari stood up straight, desperately trying to turn her face back to its normal color. "I would like to become a part of the Crimson Strikers." It had always been a dream of hers to participate and join in the defense of Earth. Perhaps the group held the path to becoming a hero, a path to the benefits she wanted from being a hero. A path to become a Z-Fighter.

A smile blossomed on her face as she witnessed her friend's optimism. However, Kari couldn't deny the excitement she felt as well. She never thought she would be able to join an organization of any sorts, and now she was given the opportunity to join one, as her friend's first member especially. While she did have her doubts, primarily with the fact its members were just a few high schoolers, she still held faith for its future. Listening to Choco talk about their new base, Kari looked in awe as she saw the small replica of the location that he created in his hand. "That's amazing Choco. Although if you say it's an ancient temple, even if it belonged to your family..." She began to trail off, thinking if she should continue the thought. While she did think it would be a cool idea for their base of operations to be at a temple, she was hesitant to mess with a historical location. "Are you sure? That's all I want to know. Regardless, I'll be happy wherever we choose to make our base. I'll be happy to visit it later as well."

An awkward laugh escaped the chameleon, "I honestly should be saying the same to you. I hope you don't regret asking me to join. But," she forced her voice to become serious and confident. Placing her hand over her heart, and trying to appear as formal as possible, she began to speak. However it was clear she was doing her best not to burst into laughter while doing so. "I, Kari, a Crimson Striker promise to never go back on my decision to join this group. I promise you that I do not regret my decision to join, er- Sir Vixen." Unable to hold it in anymore, she began to chuckle loudly. Between her giggles, Kari managed to choke out a few words. "Too formal?" A goofy grin spread accross her face. Despite her joking attitude she had currently, Kari was dead serious about her dedication of the group.
