Weighted Clothing: Active
Dreizehn closed the door behind him, the sound of metal striking metal resonating throughout the abandoned laboratory in the Gizard Wastelands. The place where he was born. He hadn’t been back here since he had left it and traversed the world, but given the circumstances regarding the approaching World Trade Fleet, the crowning of a new Saiyan King here on Earth, and the recent conflict involving demons at this Lookout place... The silver-haired humanoid felt that he had to return to the place of his birth, if only to try and find something that his parents had left behind that could aid him in becoming stronger.
The lights in the hidden laboratory flickered into life at his presence, and he began to head towards the computer banks when something caught his eye. A new set of lights had managed to flicker on that had not been there when he’d originally left this place. "The power systems must be fixing themselves now that they’re becoming more active…" he mused aloud as he went over to investigate. The lights were illuminating what looked like a set of clothing in a display case. He took note of the black and silver jacket, fingerless gloves, black trousers and boots, along with the grey shirt that had a small pad attached to it.
Dreizehn gently removed the pad, his thumb pressing down on a hidden button that took a quick sample of his blood before it came to life. On the screen was his mother, who looked to be in her sixies at this point, judging from the greys he could see in her hair. “Hello there son. If you’re watching this, then you’ve found my gift to you.” she said, gesturing to the exact same clothes in front of him, just on her side of the screen and time. “Knowing you, your fathers desire to get stronger is in you as well, and knowing Earth’s luck… you’re probably right to want to do so.” she said with a sigh.
“So, I made you this to help expedite the process. Weighted clothing. Once you put this on, assuming all the systems are still working in your time, then your father’s man-cave-” said his aging mother before a masculine voice interrupted her. “It is not a man-cave. It is an artificial battle simulation chamber! It resembles nothing like a cave, nor am I human despite it constituting one third of my genetic-”
The silver-haired humanoid smirked fondly as he listened to his parents bickering for a while before his mother resumed her speech. “Anyway, your father’s man-cave should be operational." Dreizehn could practically hear his father huffing in the distance. "Admittedly some of the more complex systems won’t be in effect probably due to the decay of time, but so long as the power regulators churn through then the systems should work themselves out eventually.” she said before sighing. “Stay safe alright? I know you’re a wonderful person, and can probably take care of yourself just fine… but I am your mother, and a mother has every right to worry.” The recording ended there, leaving Dreizehn with a blank screen, and a case full of weighted clothing.
He was soon changed into his new training attire which surprisingly fit him perfectly, grimacing as the cumulative weights were already wearing him down. Dreizehn tried to stretch any part of his body, in an attempt to make use of his Namekian genetics, but sadly to no avail as of yet. "Seems that I’ve got to do this old school as they say till my body gets used to these new weights." he mused before he made his way to a large metal sphere at the back of the laboratory.
The door hissed open at his approach, and he stepped inside. “Welcome Genetic Lineage Progeny Project Variation Thirteen, Designated Code Name: Dreizehn. Initating Gravity Simulaton Chamber.” said a dispassionate voice before a clunking sound came from around him. “Error. Artificial Gravity will not trigger. Switching to Standard Practice Mode. Initiating Target Practice Protocols.” the computer stated, blocky instruments appearing from across the room.
"Target practice? Father what were you-" Dreizehn began to say before the blocks started to light up and then fire off spheres of energy towards the silver-haired humanoid. He hastily formed a barrier in front of himself, the clothes around his arms fighting against him as he did so. "Right… I’m the target practice. Funny." he grumbled, recalling now his father’s perverse and twisted sense of humour.
This was going to be a long day. The only advantage he held right now was the fact that the system's automated firing mechanisms weren't fully restored yet after almost two centuries of not being used. The Bio-Android rushed, or as close to rushing as he was able to do right now since he had yet to get used to the weighted clothing quite yet, towards the nearest laser box.
With a slam of his fist into the machine, it exploded which caused a ding like noise to sound off in the chamber. Dreizehn looked around as the weapons began to turn, and were they charging their batteries faster? His eyes narrowed and he sighed as he formed another barrier, his eyes widening as this time the barrier began to crack from the laser impacts! The lasers were firing with far more power this time! And there were six in total, not including the one he'd just destroyed.
"Father, you were a bloody masochist weren't you?" he grumbled before he began to run. His legs were starting to get used to the weighted clothing now and he could at least jog around the chamber, the lasers firing patterns just missing him by inches for the moment.
As he passed close to one, he fired off a blast of energy of his own thus destroying the second of the devices. Another ding noise sounded in the chamber, and the silver-haired humanoids eyes widened as the laser weapons began to not only charge and discharge their energies faster, but were also speeding up in their targeting rotations! They had been designed on purpose to be slow at first!
"I take it back. You weren't a complete masochist." Dreizehn hissed as he felt a blast of energy strike him in the back, sending a painful stinging sensation through his body that he figured was designed to paralyse him at later power levels. "You were also a sadistic bastard as well!" he stated, forming a stronger barrier this time and when the laser blasts struck it, the discharged energies were absorbed into the barriers field and then redirected straight back into not just one but two laser devices, destroying them!
Two dings followed one another in rapid succession, and the lights in the chamber dimmed down to the equivalent of night time in a city which meant he couldn't see the laser weapons as clearly as he could before. "...Crap." said Dreizehn as the energy blasts became narrower and started to form cracks against this stronger barrier as well! The silver-haired humanoid held the barrier with one hand before firing off a blast of energy towards fifth device, eyes widening as light shimmered around the point of impact.
"You have got to be kidding me! Shields around them now as well?" he cried out, before the energy seared through his barrier and into his left shoulder. His left arm hung by his side, completely numb and lifeless. "Father if you weren't already dead..." Dreizehn hissed as he rolled towards the remnants of a laser device he'd destroyed earlier and used it for cover, deciding to bank on a theory.
His theory proved correct as the weapons remains were also surrounded by an energy shield that were holding off the remaining three laser weapons attacks. Dreizehn remained in place for a while, the energy blasts striking his make shift defense until his left arm regained its sense of touch once more. He flexed his arm experimentally, nodding to himself before he looked out to where the blasts were originating from.
"Alright, let's do this." he growled, swiftly standing up and firing mass consecutive blasts of energy towards two of the laser weapons. Two explosions were his reply, followed by two more dings. One laser weapon left to go, and Dreizehn watched in stupefied shock as the weapon and its the mounting in the chamber, grew a second arm with a set of claws on its end, and a set of four insect-like legs before it regarded him with a singular red glowing eye.
"...You have got to be kidding me..." said the silver-haired humanoid as he looked at the android staring him down. It blinked once, its eye shutting like the iris lens on a camera before it began to let loose a veritable deluge of energy blasts towards Dreizehn. He hastily formed up a barrier before it was overwhelmed by the sheer output of firepower, and soon his body was slumped down to the floor paralysed. The android clicked its way towards him slowly, as if suspecting he was playing possum. It looked Dreizehn's body over before placing its blaster barrel over his head. "Bang. You lose." it said, the same voice as before. It slammed its claws into his chest, releasing an anti-paralytic agent into his bloodstream that allowed him to move again.
"You show promise Genetic Lineage Progeny Project Variation Thirteen," the android stated as Dreizehn slowly got to his feet, "but you lack proper control and analytical faculties. These must be corrected." The silver-haired humanoid rolled his eyes before he cried out as he found his foot getting shot again. "I saw that." the android stated, smoke clearing from its gun barrel and Dreizehn spotted the ocular device in the back of its torso.
"This training session is over, as the system needs to repair the damage in order to prepare for your next session. Please do better next time Genetic Linea-" it said before Dreizehn tried to slam an energy blade into the robot, his arm being captured by the androids claws. "My name is Dreizehn." he growled. The android tilted its approximation of a head before blinking once. "Noted. Recommendation for Genetic Lineage Progeny Project Variation Fourteen, increase levels of cerebrospinal serotonin in order to correct aggression factors, and reduce testosterone levels." it stated, causing Dreizehn to be the one to blink now. "Wait, Fourteen?" he asked, the android releasing him and returning to the hole it had literally crawled out of earlier. "Wait! What do you mean by Fourteen?!" he yelled as the android disappeared from sight, the chamber door hissing open.
He stood there for a while before slowly leaving the chamber, which sealed itself behind him as he exited it. "Fourteen... I have a sibling?" he asked of nobody, and yet anybody who might be able to answer him. Silence was the only response the old laboratory would give him.
