Background: Neo was born and raised in an village that was isolated from the modern world. From birth she was trained to act as the village’s shrine maiden when she grew older and as a result became spiritually attuned. She would leave her village after a request from her deity telling her to reunite the five villages to the outside world by acting as its ambassador and helping those in need along the way. So far she has been learning more about the modern culture of Earth and has helped a bit with the civilians. However, after witnessing the destruction and the failure of the heroes in Satan City, Neo began to seek a way to reverse all this damage. After learning about the dragon balls and the long-absent Kami, she would begin her quest to try and take the mantle of kami to reverse the damage caused by the villains, seeking help from the saiyans so that they would take her to Namek to learn more about how to create them. Currently, she is aiding in the repair of the lookout whilst acting as a caretaker until its finally restored to its former glory.
Why I'd make a good Kami: Despite her cold and untrusting exterior, Neo genuinely loves life on Earth and is willing to help better it. As someone who had lived away from the touch of the modern world for her entire life, she was taught to appreciate the world for the way it is in its purest form. Even after she was introduced into this new world, she had grown fond of it and lead to appreciate it for the way it is despite how odd she views it. Believing herself to be the servant of the Earth, Neo is both willing to put her life on the line to protect the world she loves and die as she believes it is giving back to the planet who gave her life. Due to her current title of being a priestess to her village’s deity whom is good aligned, Neo is also pure of heart. She does not believe in unnecessary violence as she doesn’t want to inflict pain onto others, even those who are evil.
Neo might be young, however, she is quite mature for her age. Due to the amount of responsibilities that were given to her at a young age, she understands what it means to hold an important position, even if being Kami and a shrine priestess are to separate jobs. If Neo were to become kami, it would be as if she were acting out the will of her goddess even further as her goal is to unite the primitive land of her people with the ever-advancing people of the Earth today. In addition, Neo believes in redemption and leading those who have gone down the wrong path back into the light. She refuses to kill anyone, feeling that every source of evil in this world deserves a second chance
As Neo was going to be the kami to be, she also has a small arc underneath her belt. From travelling to namek to learn how to make the dragon balls to even talking to the Saiyan King about said trip. However, currently her dedication to becoming kami is being tested.
The last bit is more OOC, however, I do understand my activity can be a little wonky as shown by the two weeks I went MIA due to school and my inconsistent posting schedule in the past. However, now that I started school again, I can be active and posting daily. So until finals (in which I will be only taking a two-day break at max) or AP testing (which will have me inactive the day before my tests) my activity will definitely pick up again.
worldofdragonball.freeforums.net/thread/2336/beautiful-open?page=1#scrollTo=12926 Another thread that showcases Neo’s compassion of the people on Earth. While this thread was put on hiatus (mainly due to my lack of muse for this thread), Neo willingly puts herself in danger in order to stop Van from his rampage despite how scared she is. When Mumbo shows up, she fights against him to try and keep the citizens safe.
worldofdragonball.freeforums.net/thread/2108/friendship-forged-fire A solo where Neo returns back to her hometown only to see a villain attacking it. This is the first “true” time Neo has come face to face with a true villain who wants to destroy everything she loves. Despite how dangerous it is, she doesn’t hesitate in protecting her hometown. In the end, when she manages to succeed, Neo chooses not to kill Frozone but instead take him as her disciple in order to teach him a better way.
worldofdragonball.freeforums.net/thread/1848/legend-dragon-balls After witnessing the events in Chamil City, Neo returns home to her tribe where she would learn about the dragon balls and kami. While this doesn’t explain her qualifications for the role, it how she came to learn of the dragon ball and the positions and her reasoning to become kami.
worldofdragonball.freeforums.net/thread/1857/journey-continues-open Neo visits the lookout to seek divine guidance and find clues to help her in her journey to become kami. In this thread, Neo is given more motivation to become kami such as the attack on the lookout and the goal to return the lookout to its original state. Here she meets Ramen and Mollusc who help influence her decision to go to Namek to learn the secrets of the dragon ball.
worldofdragonball.freeforums.net/thread/1921/chance-woods-invite After visiting the lookout, Neo meets with Gaea (who is now archived) who gives her more information about the dragon balls and how they are created. This includes the dragon statue and the magical ritual needed to create the dragon balls, the former which she finds in another thread and the later she will discover when she goes to Namek.
Background: Chime is a young Dragon Clan Namekian who's spent most of his life training on his home planet. His studies didn't include combat, but he learned much about healing, spirituality, and history. He eventually felt that he couldn't progress and learn if he just stayed on Namek, seeing the same trees and oceans and people every day. Against the urging of his elders, Chime took a space pod and went to Earth, his chosen destination because of all the great events that have taken place there. If nothing else, there would be plenty of fighters there for him to practice healing! Chime learned fairly quickly after arriving that Earth has no dragon balls, and decided it can't be a coincidence that he felt the need to come here now. It must be fate! So he's made it his quest to help Earth get a new set of dragon balls, whether that means aiding others, or figuring out how to do it himself. He understands how it works, in theory, but actually doing it is another matter entirely...
Why I'd make a good Kami: First and foremost, Chime possesses a good heart. He’s far from the most powerful person, or the bravest, and has fled from situations before, but when he sees others in need or danger, he springs into action and does what he can. His goal to help create Earth a new set of dragon balls is, ultimately, rooted in this desire to help others. He firmly believes that, while they could also be used for evil, the dragon balls are artifacts of possibility and change. In his mind, fate is not entirely pre-written, and the people of a world should be allowed to self-determine their own destiny. Dragon balls are the most powerful tool to help do that, so lacking them, from Chime’s perspective, takes away a lot of a peoples’ agency. Of course, he’s looking at this from the perspective of someone that grew up on a planet with dragon balls, as long as he could remember, so he’s obviously biased in that regard.
Though he’s still learning, Chime already has a robust understanding magic from his studies under his Dragon Clan elders on Namek. He’s able to conjure items using magic, though larger and more complex items take more effort from him. He’s learned the theory of creating dragon balls from these studies, even though he’s never put that into practice himself. He also studied philosophy and history, with a focus on Namek, of course, but also other major events around the galaxy, especially Earth, since it seems to have been a hub for so much over the generations.
Chime is also very dedicated to his own self-improvement. His journey from Namek to Earth was, in part, a little youthful rebellion, but it was borne of a desire to better himself. The results of his training might not be as apparent to the naked eye (your muscles don’t grow from meditating, after all!), but he’s just as diligent to his studies as any fighter is to sparring.
Wandering the Woods: Where Chime learns that Earth has no dragon balls, and decides helping to make them is why he’s here.
This is Totally the Right Tower: Chime tries to find the Lookout, after hearing of those sharing his goals gathering there, and finds the Senbyo tower instead. He meets some surprising (and violent!) opposition to the idea of making new dragon balls, but isn’t swayed from his goals.
A Walk Home: Chime ends up in Badman City, unaware of the curse it was under until he got there. He hears a cry for help from an alleyway and leaps in to help, despite having zero combat experience.
Battlefield Study and Futile Endeavor: Both threads take place while Chime is trying to heal Badman City. Despite knowing he can’t fix the entire city on his own, he’s still trying to heal what people he can, even temporarily, one by one, as well as trying to study the nature of the curse. A little bit of aid is better than none, in his eyes.
Something from Nothing: Chime contemplates his goals, and practices his Magic Materialization technique. He finishes his first big project: making a house for himself.
