NAME: Ryce Reville
ALIASES: None
SPECIES: A weird amalgamation of Ogre, Saiyan, and Human [Ogre Dominant, Blue]
AGE: 16
GENDER: Male.
STARTING PLANET: Earth
APPEARANCE: Ryce stands at about 5’10” with a lean, but muscular build. He has shaggy black hair with bangs that cover a majority of his forehead, with the back extending down to cover the back of his neck and touch his collar. He has a soft, kind face with striking blue eyes that look match no normal blue color and canine teeth that are just slightly pointier than normal. He typically wears a blue jacket with red stripes along the sleeves and a red bandana tied around his arm, with the Mauntatoru Style symbol in a white circle on the back. He wears a white t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers to finish out his ensemble, with a brown, monkey tail poking out of the seat of his pants, though it is completely vestigial in nature and serves no purpose.
BACKGROUND: Two hundred years before, a young Saiyan-Human hybrid began his journey with only a single goal driving him. He accomplished much, accomplishing his goal and becoming a martial arts teacher for those who would aspire to defend the Earth as he did. He deemed his life a success and passed on from the world with no regrets, leaving behind a legacy and a lineage to carry on in training and working to defend the Earth from threats. For 200 years, there was peace and the Reville family continued in training each generation in their patriarch's developed style.
The story begins again when Articho’s descendant, Ryce, is born. Mothered by a direct descendant of Articho, Elysia Reville, and fathered by the Ogre, Tartarou, he is the youngest of three siblings, with the eldest being his brother Almon and the middle child being his sister Srimpee. As a child, Ryce was known to be exceptionally kind and compassionate, if not a little nervous and a bit of a push over when it came to arguments. He was a sharp contrast to his much more hot headed and confident brother, with Srimpee serving as the mediating, middle ground between the two who would often settle their arguments. Almon was locked on to his own goal of proving himself a great hero like Articho was and he refused to share the limelight with both his brother and sister. Srimpee proved herself to be indifferent to his aspirations, simply wanting to be a suitable defender of Earth rather than their family’s patriarch reborn. It was Ryce that frustrated Almon the most, as the young boy too wanted to be a great hero like their ancestor. As children, Almon would often insult and belittle his brother, calling him weak and unworthy of proving a worthy legacy to their ancestor long past as he kicked Ryce around in their minor spars. Despite the abuse, it did little to quench the fire hidden behind Ryce’s nervous and passive nature. He refused to back down in the face of his brother’s opposition and chose to train alongside his older siblings in martial arts and ki control.
So, for years, the three trained together, each mastering the Mauntatoru fighting style and its signature technique, the Kamensenryu, though Almon and Srimpee had a bit of a lead on their younger brother. That didn’t deter him, though, and the younger boy worked as hard as he could to catch up with his siblings in terms of skill. What he lacked in the sheer raw power his older brother had over him, he made up in with clever fighting and quick reflexes, eventually putting the 16 year old on a near even playing field with his 20 year old brother. In a fit of frustration during one session, Almon ascended for the first time into a more bestial and muscular version of himself, proceeding to put the smack down on his younger brother who was left stunned by this sudden change. It took the three’s mother and father and Srimpee to hold Almon off long enough to calm him down and give Ryce some time to recover. After the initial shock had worn down, Tartarou stepped forward and declared he would be taking over their training from now on. There was little more their mother could teach them of their family’s style and she had no chance in helping the three understand the latent abilities Almon’s accidental change revealed.
Tartarou began training the three in understanding and controlling their Otherworld granted abilities from his parentage, helping each of them to trigger and master the transformation Almon demonstrated, dubbed their “Primal Oni” form, as well as teaching them how their Ogre dominant heritage granted them the unique ability to hail the Otherworld taxi and travel between the Otherworld and Earth freely. Now given the basics of their abilities, its left to the three to use their skills as they see fit and for Ryce to attain the greatness he so desires.
TECHNIQUES:
OFFENSIVE TECHNIQUES:
[N1] Kamensenryu - The technique Articho Reville developed after his first master’s death by old age. In an effort to preserve his teachings and his legacy, Articho adopted them into his own teachings with the Turtle School, inventing an entirely new fighting style and technique, passing them down to all of his descendants. Serving as a combination of the Kamehameha and the Mountain Hermit’s Drill, Ryce follows the tried and true stance of the Kamehameha, cupping his hands near his hips and charging a teal ball of energy in his palms. As he charges, he says the name of the attack, thrusting his hands forward and launching a spiralling beam at his opponent at the last syllable. It charges at 33% of his PL.
SUPPORT TECHNIQUES:
