BACKGROUND:
Davis was not the luckiest chap. He was diagnosed with depression at 15 and had to take medication to calm it down. He was very paranoid of people coming after him and how they react to what he says, and he took it to the extreme, losing some friends along the way. He was often bullied due to his scrawny figure and weak-willed nature and complete obsession with anime that follows him to this day.
He always would downplay his abilities to the extreme, even in times when he was the doing everything and doing an amazing job, he’d downplay himself and would basically shoot himself in the foot with his work. Life was hell for him. He constantly watches to make sure he didn’t get screwed over in anything; hoping with every sentence he didn’t upset people too much. His parents cared about him a lot but didn’t know how to help him.
Every day was pretty much like this, making Davis fall deeper into depression until he met a man. He never learned the man's name until the end of the sessions Davis had with him. He was a kind man and Davis remembered him very adamantly and looked up to him as a heroic figure. He wore a black suit, red tie, with leather shoes, nothing else. He never wore anything else which was strange enough; and the man’s initials he went by, D.K. which were also weird.
One thing that Davis adopted into his into life was D.K.’s grin, a grin you only see on people that are excited to be doing something and enjoy it completely. For several years, D.K. taught Davis self-confidence, but also humility. He taught how to run a business and the art of persuasion but not to scam people. He told him to help everyone he can and not to use the power for evil and for his own good and wants, use it to be the most helpful person possible.
D.K. trained the young boy so he had the best possible intentions because he could tell the young man was harboring hatred and malicious intent toward people and wanted to get rid of that as soon as possible; he did not want it to grow and fester. He knew that if Davis cared about something and that thing was ripped from him, he had a chance to be sent into a downward spiral of depression and anger, possibly turning him against the side of good.
So D.K. attempted many, many times to get rid of Davis’ evil inside of him, but failed every time. He continued to train with the young man, slowly helping him. Soon after starting his training with D.K., Davis’ depression completely disappeared. His paranoia didn’t go away but was subsided heavily, allowing Davis to be like a normal person. Once his personal problems and the physical stature of him were fixed, he was able to fix the whole bullying issue without conflict, resolving it peacefully.
He trained with D.K. until he was 20 years old when he found out that his teacher had an illness and was passing on everything he knew to Davis so someone could continue his dream. D.K. told Davis to lean over when he was in his bed, not able to fight off the illness. “Davis… My name is…” he started and whispered his name into the ear of his disciple who was shocked.
“But… B-but there’s no way..!” he yelled as D.K. smiled, later passing that week. Davis was saddened by his masters passing but pursued on, starting his own company called D.K. Corporation, or D.K. Corp as it’s known today, releasing products to better society in general. He is the CEO of the company, referred to as ‘President’ in the company and is almost always seen with his assistant Diana, who helps him, hand and foot. When he’s not doing his work, he’s either helping people in need, watching anime, playing games, or working on a secret plan, that he hopes will succeed so he can make the world better.
