A Tumblin’ Rumble! Lu Rose - 12,000 PL Temper Tantrum (x2) - 24,000
The sound could be heard for miles. The sound of an alarm, a bell, a distress call. It wasn’t for a school or a police man or even a firefighter. No, this was bigger, much more important. This bell was for a robbery. Not just a store or car, no, this was a bank. The big house of cash was being looted and the police stations had no idea until that moment. Sadly for this bank, the nearest police station was half way across town the the criminals would most certainly get away… or at least would have.
“Move, damn it, move! We don’t have much time to start filling up bags and break for it!” Shouted the head gun, who had ust freshly opened the vault after some operation on the keypad. Two other associates ran into the vault, one yanking stacks of cash from the stacks on the ground, the other testing key upon key on the deposit boxes. After some time had passed, the gang made their way back to the entrance and piled out of the building, making a mad dash for their van beside the building.
“Woohoo! We are home free! Mon-AAAAYYYY!” Celebrated the man with a black mask, tossing his arms up in down with rifle in hands. “It’s not over just yet, Casey, we still got a long drive ahead of us, then we can call it a day…” Spoke the leader once more while flinging the doors open, the other robbers piling into the back. “But no coppas? You’re sure? And no heroes eitha?” Pried the most heavily vested of them all, eyeing the windows cautiously while the captain just laughed. “I’m certain.”
The doors were slammed closed and the member who hadn’t gone in did his job. Drive. The tires scrapped the ground as the driver floored it, the van shooting into motion in an instant. The gang sat in silence, performing various actions as they rode. One searched the cash, another reloaded their ammunition clips, and another just kicked back and opened up a dirty mag while lighting up a cigarette. Had any of them been paying attention, they may have seen the large dust trail following behind them with a white figure leading the charge.
“So how much we get?” asked the dirty mag reader, peeking up from his bone zone articles to see how much they’d earned. “Hmmm… I’d say a couple hundred thousand, maybe even a million…” Said a man in a green cargo jacket, his eyes searching wildly through the bag as he tossed around the scraps of cash. “With that much cash, I’d have enough money for a-” There was a sound of a bump overhead. “New… house…” Everyone fell silent once again, expecting a hero to break in at any second, but nothing ever happened. The drive went smoothly as it went down the city scape, managing to dodge and weave cars as they passed by. Only an hour pass before the van was halted in an alleyway, many miles away from the original crime location.
“Well gentlemen, I think we can say we’re home free.” Said the leader as he piled out of the van with his allies not far behind him. “When we get inside, we’ll split the cut and call it a day. Sound good?” He kept walking, even though no sound came from behind. After a moment of silence, he stopped and turned around, seeing that his men had been incapacitated on the ground. “Oh shit… Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!” The man panicked, wrapping the bag around his body and pulling his phone out as he took full sprint down the alley. “Come on, come on, pick up!” He said after hitting the digits into his phone, awaiting a response from the other side. There was a ring… two rings… a pick up.
“My, my, can’t say I’m surprised you’re calling. Job go bad?” “Shut up, man. I just need your best men out here, fast. We were followed. Class super hero.” “Heh heh… I’ll have them over in seconds”
And with that, the call ended. The man stood in silence with his back pressed against the alley wall after a solid minute of running. He believed he’d escaped the wrath that came with his crime. The silence that followed his pants for breath filled him with hope, hope that was short lived, anyways. On his last gulp for air, a child’s voice rang out to him. “You should really watch your language…” And before he knew it, the leader was taken out with a swift hit.
Lu Rose, holding the man’s knocked out body, walked over to the van and set up a scene perfect for the police. She tied their hands up with zip ties and gathered up all their potential evidence into a pin in the back of the van. While she prepared this masterpiece, the sound of cars pulled up from every direction and Lu was familiar with the sound. The child’s ears perked up to the sound of foot soldiers moving in on her position and the Bunny only had one reaction. Defend.
As the soldier’s came into view, they drew their guns at the child, confused as to how a girl could pull of so much, but when the first few rounds of bullets were fired off, they could see why the child was so feared. The bullets shot at her were slashed in half in a faster speed than they fired, leaving metal droppings everywhere. “Sorry guys, but I’m not leaving until all of you are in jail.”
A battle began to break out, where the child dashed at the gunmen, whacking them across the head or the gut just hard enough to send them into a blackout. With every soldier that was taken down, three more would come to replace them, as if the army itself was besieging the girl. The foot men began to swarm the area, surrounding the girl until her sword cuts were becoming ineffective. Some of the bullets hit her skin, though they bounced off rather easily, but it still left a sting. Eventually, the girl’s arm gave out, she couldn’t go on any further. The swarm of bullets hit her over and over again, pelting her with irritating stings. With so many hitting her at once, it became hard to respond. She needed help, but who could she call to?

News of a bank robbery almost immediately put Koban on edge, the fact that it was right in North City, right near the Pride Trooper base did little to settle his unease. The last bank robbery he had broken up in North City had been lead by the Armored Villain, who had since become a consistent thorn in his side. The real reason Koban felt concerned was that he had not pushed TOO much further in power from his last encounter with the Armored Villain and during that fight, they had very nearly beaten his base form. The Armored Villain seemed to grow stronger or at the very least more familiar and capable of countering his style with every fight they had while also managing to vary their own style enough to negate any such benefits Koban might have from what he learned from there last fight. If they showed up today he might very well need to transform to take them down, a very dangerous prospect so deep in the city. His concern was what gave him enough pause that Koban had arrived a bit late on the scene to the bank itself and Koban quickly found himself trying to play catch up, getting reports on the general direction the robbers had taken off in. Koban was eventually able to pick up on an exact location with the arrival of an unfamiliar but very powerful energy signature, it was on the rough path of where the thieves were supposed to be and acted as a beacon for Koban, when Koban arrived on the scene however he was stunned to see who the signature belonged to. A child. She couldn't be much older than little Caffey and yet she was wielding power near to his own. It was enough to give him pause again as he watched the tiny Zoan move at exceptional speeds deflecting and cutting through a hail of bullets. At first, he was uncertain if he would even be needed here, the young rabbit Zoan clearly had the power to take the men down, they wielded normal guns, weapons that unless she chose to lower her defenses could quite literally do her no harm. But as she fought more gunmen seemed to stream out of nowhere and the bullet fire started to become too much for her, her defenses eventually faltered and while the bullets still were nowhere near as effective on her as they would be on the average Earthling the gunmen were essentially locking her down with sheer force. Such a lockdown would be MUCH harder with another warrior of comparable power in the mix, and so Koban bolted through the air driving himself between the onslaught of bullets raining down on the young Zoan taking the brunt of the attack right on the chest, refocusing the flow of his energy to negate the power behind the bullets entirely as they rained on him. “You were doing really well there for a while, I hope you don’t mind me lending you a hand here.” Koban said craning his neck over his shoulder to give the young hero a grin. A Tumblin’ Rumble! Lu Rose - 12,000 PL Temper Tantrum (x2) - 24,000
Curled up against the van, taking the barrage of bullets aimed for her body, the little girl couldn’t help but hug her sword. The pain, despite being light, kept coming over and over again. The rain of bullets pressed her back over and over and with each each, it left a greater sting. Her whole body was hurting, her eyes were welling up, and her will to fight was draining. Fast. “Don’t cry…” She muttered to herself, hugging the rapier handle tighter. “Heroes don’t cry. Heroes never cry…” The soldier’s were starting to reach their maximum capacity, with surprisingly so few bullets hitting the van. The bullets has heat trackers, so as long as it provided body heat, it would be shot.
What felt like hours passed, laying there on the group while the relentless stream continued. “I want to go home…” she whimpered, the tears finally rolling out. “I want to see Caffey…” The little bunny muttered, shaking, wishing that it would stop… when suddenly, it did. The bullets suddenly disappeared, or most of them did. A few of them hit her, only to drop on the ground and roll away with the sea of bullets that had been piled onto the ground. Lu opened her watered eyes and rolled around, seeing a caped figure with blue skin and orange hair. She’d seen him on the news, in the comic books, and knew his name by heart. It was him, the mighty captain Koban.
The girl’s tears melted away as she sat up, his words touching her heart. “Y-you really think so?” She said, wiping away her tears. Her tiny heart was pounding. Her all time favorite super hero just said that she, SHE was doing great. That SHE was a good fighter. That SHE was worthy of being a hero. Lu looked at the bullets flying at the man and gasped. Now he was taking the mass of the bullets! Of course, a super tough hero like him could probably handle a lot, but she’d still feel better if she helped. “Captain Koban! Let me help!” The child gripped her fists and took a deep breath. She began to channel deep within herself before tossing the fists forward into open palms, sending an imaginary force forward. With the motion, the concrete in front of Koban rose up to about half his height, giving him more than enough crouching cover.
Since Lu was already half the man’s height, she was able to stand under the cover with ease, pinning her ears down as to not get them hurt. “Mister Koban! I’m Lu Rose, but you can call me Lu Rose!” She smiled big, her eyes turning into stars as she looked up at him. “Caffey has told me so much about you! You’re so cool!” Lu blinked and turned to the van, seeing the robbers from before still exposed to the elements. Luckily, none of them had been shot, but if Koban ducked down, the bullets would certainly aim for them instead. The child took a shot for the group of humans and puffed up her cheeks, a magic bubble appearing around them. The bullets bounced off of it with ease, and with it being round, it could easily roll. With the robbers inside, she walked over the the cover and popped the bubble after some small struggle. “Mister Koban, what are you doing all the way out here?”

It always touched his heart when someone reacted to his presence with such genuine joy, be it because they knew who he was or because of what he was doing. With the young heroic Zoan it appeared to actually be equal parts of both as once the young Zoan recovered as he took the brunt of the attacks she used his name as she offered to help. He could not quite see exactly what she was up to back there as under the pressure of the attacks Koban did eventually need to focus his attention on bolstering his defenses.
The need to do so, however, was soon negated as Koban senses a burst of energy from his tiny companion and with it the ground in front of them reshaped to defend them forming a barrier that came up to about his waist, with it’s arrival Koban quickly dropped down behind it turning to face the young hero “Huh, now THAT is quite an interesting power you have there Lu Rose” Koban said, the young rabbit Zoan then explained that Caffey had told her about him.
“I'm glad to hear that Caffey speaks highly of me, I’d heard about some trouble with a bank robbery, little did I know there was already a hero at work to handle it. Things seem to have gotten a bit messier than a simple robbery now though, what do you say about a little hero team up?” Koban offered with a grin, Lu really did have quite the interesting set of powers, Koban had never really developed his skills into anything quite as versatile, but what he did have at his disposal was quite effective.
Assuming Lu raised no problems with his continued involvement Koban would roll his shoulders and stand back up from behind the barrier Lu had made gripping his wrist with one hand and focusing energy through it he aimed at the gunmen “JUSTICE! FLASH!” Koan roared unleashing hail of energy blasts on them intending to knock out as many as he could or at the very least get them scattered and running for cover, the big problem he and Lu had right now was just how in control of the situation the criminals were, taking that away would make things easier on them.

A Tumblin’ Rumble! Lu Rose - 12,000 PL Temper Tantrum (x2) - 24,000
With the bullets raining on the concrete the attacks became pointless. Some men stopped their fire while others maintained it to keep the heroes pinned. A few of the men began to pull out different weapons while deep in the back, one soldier was messing with a large, mechanical suit. For now, it seemed inactive without an operator, but when it was ready, it would cause problems.
Back behind the wall, Lu was still trying to her infinity not wrapped around five pairs of hands while Koban complimented the Zoan for her magic. “Oh, yeah, it’s pretty cool, but not as cool as your stuff! The Justice Flash is, like, the best!” The child smiled with her star filled eyed, finally making the last few ties on the rope. When Lu mentioned Caffey, Koban gave a positive light to her bird bestie before offering an idea that made Lu almost faint from the sheer surprise.
“A-a-a-a-a s-s-sup-p-per h-h-hero t-team up?” Lu had to take a second to register that. She’d been called a hero BY HER HERO! Lu almost fainted it was so amazing. “Mister Koban, I’ll do my best to help!” Said the Bunny, giving a thumbs up as Koban leaned over the barrier she created, shouting his signature move. Hearing it in person made Lu’s heart skip a beat. Perhaps she was far too starstruck for her own good.
Peeking over the cover on her tippy toes, she caught a glimpse of the ki blasts being used to knock out some of the front liners. It was definitely effective and took out groups at a time. With every person down, another person would grab them and drag them back into the alleyway. Soon enough, the numbers were reduced to half of what they used to be, but a good amount of men still remained. “Oh! Oh! I got it!” The Bunny cried, holding her hands out and focusing her energy. “Hnnnngg...” She groaned, thinking hard on her plan before, suddenly, black tendrils shot from the ground and started smacking away weapons. There were only five of them, but they were enough to distract the men. Some changed their course of fire to the black creatures while others ignored them and kept for their targets, only stopping to reload.
The black tendrils, after disarming a whole group, constricted themselves around three men a piece, dragging them to the drag and pinning them. Two soldiers stopped firing to pry the men lose, but the magical creatures were too strong and held their ground. Lu, gulping in a big breath turned back behind the cover once more, rubbing her forehead. Summoning false creatures was hard to do, so it took a lot out of her. “I think I need some water…” She mumbled, sliding down to the ground.

Koban gave an amused chuckle as Lu complimented his technique, while he did his best to make the Justice Flash have a bit of flair to it, when it really came down to it the technique was really all just power. Most of Koban’s techniques possesed little in the way of innate flair, it was only through his own efforts that they came off as anything other than just fairly standard attacks executed with a fair degree of proficiency. Where many were to Koban’s surprise quite impressed with what he could do it was Koban who found himself often quite amazed by the wide range of abilities others possesed.
“If the both of us do that then I think that's just about all we’ll need” Koban said with a grin as Lu said that she would do her best, in theory he was pretty sure now that his Justice Flash had managed to throw the men into disarray it would be rather easy for Lu to retake control of the situation, but as he was already here and it was still rather unclear what these men were even up to in the first place Koban would not be leaving any time soon.
As Koban knelt behind the barrier once more taking a moment to regain his energy without risk of being attacked Lu made her own move it seemed to take quite a bit of effort from the tiny Zoan but the payoff was QUITE impressive as a number of black tendrils appeared from the ground to assault the gunmen, not long after she began though it was clear that it had taken a lot out of Lu to accomplish that.
“Take a breather, I’ll tag in for now” Koban said patting Lu on the shoulder and giving her a grin before springing up to his full height and taking to the air, dashing at those not currently being restrained or pinned by the tendrils, Koban would look to take them out during the chaos of the tentacle attack as quickly as possible. The sooner these men were down the sooner some answers could be gathered from them.

A Tumblin’ Rumble! Lu Rose - 12,000 PL Temper Tantrum (x2) - 24,000
Exhausted from her last attack, she was glad to hear Koban was willing to take over the firepower, though as the tendrils started to weaken up, all the men started to retreat in unison, carrying as many men as they could, leaving only a few men behind, with only two standing. All of them had the same armor and the same masks except for one, dressed in much heavier armor with very strange slits at the bottom. The smaller of the men seemed to say something, which triggered the other man into an stance where his arms crossed into an X. “Haaaaaah….!” The man began to yell at the top of his lungs as two ki blades shot through the slits, his aura rising at an alarming rate, as well as his power.
Lu turned around and peeked out of the barrier she made, blinking at the bulkier man, who had begun to charge forward, slashing through the tendrils with ease, making them evaporate into nothing as they were split in two. Once they were all clear, the man turned to the two heroes, glaring at the Heran specifically. “FIGHT ME, KOBAN! COME MEET YOUR MAKER!” The beast of a man cried, tossing his arms to the side and letting his energy charge up, his ki blades firing up.
Lu looked over at Koban with scared eyes, trying her hardest to stand up. “I-I’ll help! That way we can take him down easy!” She said with a smile, all before starting up a coughing fit, crippling her back down to her knees. “Nooo… I… want… to help…” She said with upset eyes, but she knew that she wouldn’t be able to stand for a while. “K-Koban, what should we do?!” The Bunny asked with a tinge of fear in her voice. Could Captain Koban save the day?
For the sake of a tough fight, Juggernaut man will be using Lu's PL.

Koban was a bit unsure how to feel when he saw the men dragging there fallen compatriots away, on the one hand it was a way for more of these criminals to escape possibly having to face justice once the police arrived, but on the other hand it was refreshing to see actual compassion between criminals, so often when a large group was taken down any sense of comradery between them was dropped in favor of personal safety or benefit, but here even with Koban bearing down on them they were taking the time to pull away others. At the very least perhaps it meant that these criminals were not entirely bad.
Of course, that did not mean Koban would make no effort to stop them, they had been involved in a robbery AND had fired on a child, even if Lu was a truly exceptional child it was still wrong on many levels as far as Koban was concerned. Unfortunately, Koban’s attempts to thwart the escape of the minions was hindered by the arrival of a larger and more impressive armor.
Koban narrowed his eyes at the large figure, there was something vaguely familiar about that style of armor now that he had a moment to get a decent look at it.
Koban raised an eyebrow at the man’s boastful challenge but turned to check on Lu first before answering it, the young hero was still recovering from the last technique she used and KOban placed a hand on her shoulder to keep her from trying to get back up again “It’s alright, you rest up here. It won't do us any good if you hurt yourself. Give it some time and if you think you’re recovered enough join in but don’t push it. You’ve done plenty” Koban said with a grin giving the young hero a thumbs up before rounding back on the large armored man.
“You know, there are easier ways of getting in touch with me if all you wanted was to meet,” Koban said giving the man a grin as he stepped forward “I’m always willing to take the time to meet with a fan.” Koban rolled his shoulders as he spoke hoping the intentional misinterpretation of the man’s intentions would get him even more riled up and keep the man’s focus on him rather than Lu.
