The Big Debut! Captain Planet Begins! Tringle - 1 PL Base Form (x1)
“Day 25, the grappling hook model has been successful. Waiting on the boomerangs to return… After I tossed them, they went flying and have yet to come back… Maybe putting rocket boosters on them was a bad idea…” A Namekian child prodigy stood in the edge of a building, staring out into the starry night. The white mage had been practicing his hand engineer after he’d seen a hero dedicated entirely to mechanical parts. After seeing it, Tringle couldn’t help but get excited at the thought of being a superhero. With a power level as small as his, there wasn’t a lot you could except pray and hope you got better. As he did have magic on his side, he didn’t have much ki to work with, which left him to the mechanical side of things.
“Up next, I’ll be testing the wings. While they work best during the day, I have invented a generator that’ll store the solar power in so that it can be operated at any hour. Let’s give it a shot!” The Namekian paused the recording on his ZPhone before backing up on the roof. The tiny boy looked at his backpack strapped around his body, guiding a finger up to a button near the top of the right strap to open the wings that had been stuffed into the back. The base of the wings were a very light metal, specifically lithium. Getting it to cooperate with the cloth wings was easy, but it felt far too breakable when compared to even Tringle’s small weight.
With his fear being tucked back into his brain, the mini-inventor took a step forward, breaking into a full sprint as he headed for the end of the skyscraper. As he hit the ledge, he brought his foot up to the small step up and something in his boot clicked as the hover boots activated, sending the boy even higher into the sky, the only difference being that there was no longer a ground to stick to. As Tringle’s body turned toward the ground, the boy pulled on a string under his book bag strap, which set the wings upward and sending the boy into a simple glide.
As the wings began to take a soft decent, the Namek pulled the strings downward, making the mechanical wings flap. For each motion, it took the child a little higher, as well as reduced the tilt towards the ground. It was working beautifully. “Wahoo! I’m doing it! I’m doing it! I’m flying!” The boy release the strings to slap at his invention, when sent him into a downward motion, spiralling him to the Earth. “I am ALIVE!” The boy grabbed the strings, not caring for how close to his death he was, yanking the strings up to take him into a U like motion and sending him back into the sky once more. He was free.

Cobalt was on his way back from a late night expedition. He was flying a bit high to get a better view of the city below him. "I love nights like these. Things can be so peaceful, but still very much alive."
As he slowly started to descend just underneath the dark clouds of the night, he caught the tiniest glimpse of movement out of the corner of his eyes. "Hey, what was that?"
He said to himself, as he stopped in his tracks and turned around to see what was happening. He couldn't make out much of anything, considering it was the middle of the night and the moon could only shine so much light. Then, a triumphant cry rang out. Cobalt quickly made his way over to where the shout had come from, wanting to investigate its source. The next thing he knew, a small person came from out of nowhere, seemingly winged. It was like a huge bat or bird was flying around. So, like Cobalt does with every other peculiar thing he comes across, he decided to get a closer look. As he was beginning to approach the small flier from behind, he was able to make out that the being's wings were actually some mechanism. Cobalt figured whoever was attached to it would probably freak out if he just approached them out of nowhere, so he decided to call out to them from where he was. "Hello there! I see you're ok, I was wondered someone had fallen off of a building or something. I'm Cobalt. That's a nice, um, set of wings you have there."

Yogu was sitting in a booth seat of a McBao's eating a rather cheap dinner. " Damn, I'm almost out of cash... I'll have to sleep outside again tonight! Oh well..." Yogu put his half-eaten burger down and stared out into the city. He couldn't see much, the city was barely illuminated by dim street lights. " Ugh... Sleeping in the cold sucks! Maybe I'll be able to sleep here or something-" Before Yogu could finish the thought, he catches sight of a small figure jumping off of a building! " Woah!" Yogu's shouting draws the attention of the employee running the cash register, but he quickly goes back to looking at his phone. Yogu quickly hops out of his seat and ran into the cold outdoors. Yogu was running down the empty sidewalk, towards the building. " Man, I hope whoever that was didn't just become a stain on the pavement..." As Yogu approached the scene, he saw the same figure suddenly soar back up into the sky. They were obscured by the darkness, but he could still see the shape of them. Whoever this person was, it looked like they were some winged creature. Much bigger than any bird Yogu has ever seen. Yogu yells out, " What the hell is that thing?!" Yogu looks around to see if anyone sees what's going on and notices another person talking to whoever that person is. " Hey there, do you know what's going on?" |
