The Jaws of Defeat [SPLIT DE]

And so he stood. Alone. Victorious.

A cold silence seemed to wash over the streets, if only for a brief moment. Nashi lied still under his feet. Not a twitch, not a whimper, nothing. The Senbyo had finally bitten the dust. He had finally died...!

With a faint chuckle, Virus removed his foot from the Earthling's chest. He couldn't help but keep his eyes locked onto the dead Senbyo, finding sick amusement in how lifeless he had suddenly become. The defiant, spunky cat-boy had been reduced to a husk devoid of life. Virus had just claimed his first ever real kill. And how did he feel about it...?

The Bio-Android slowly breathed in the smell of sizzling skin and burnt hair-

''Aaaahhh...~''

He felt pretty good about it.

Virus suddenly heard a terrified whimper behind him. Turning his head, his red eyes gazed upon an ordinary citizen, pointing a camera at him. ''Oh, hello. Enjoy the show...?'' Virus asked in the calmest of voices, tilting his head to the side with a sickening smile. The powerless Human let out a fearful eep before running away as far as he possibly could.

As if he had teleported, Virus appeared infront of the human with breathtaking speed. He bumped right into the weapon of death and decay, stumbling onto the ground below. ''I asked you a question.'' Virus spoke, leaning forward to pick the Earthling up by his collar. ''ANSWER. ME.'' He growled. But before the Human could answer, Virus had tightened a grip around the human's neck, lobbing his head off without effort.

Releasing the Human, Virus took the phone and inspected it curiously. He was broadcasting tbe battle? How fun! Amusedly, Virus pointed the camera at his face. Thousands upon thousands of Earthlings were suddenly introduced to the being that would soon be their end.

''Hello! Now, as you all can see, I am quite...Busy- so I'll keep this brief.'' Virus spoke to his unwilling audience in the most casual of tones. 

''I am Virus. I was created over two-hundred years ago, infused with the DNA of the galaxy's strongest warriors of that time. The Saiyan Queen, the Namekian Overlord, among many more. I was made with one purpose...-'' Virus grinned coldly, his dark eyes boring into the lens of the camera. ''To kill each and every one of you.''

The blood-splattered insect sweeped the camera across the streets to show off the carnage and destruction he and his friends had caused. It was obvious he wasn't joking around. ''Let what happened here be a testament to my power! Because in due time, my lovely little Earthlings...'' Virus pointed the camera back at his face. ''You will all be consumed by me.''

He paused for a moment, allowing it all to sink in. ''But, until then-'' He paused again, inching the camera closer and closer to his disgusting face.

''Remember my name.''

And he crushed the phone without hesitation.

The broadcast ended.

''Now then, where was I?'' Virus spoke to himself, walking over toward Nashi with a casual stride. The Bio-Android hummed a calm tune as he reached forwards, picking up Nashi's corpse by the neck. His maw opened widely, a saliva-slathered tongue whipping out hungrily. Deep-fried cat, it almost sounded like a delicacy. And the smell? Heavenly!

No longer able to restrain himself, Virus snapped his jaw shut around the Senbyo's torso, easily tearing through seared flesh and brittle bone. The last remnants of his blood painted the concrete, bits and pieces of his organs helplessly falling out of his gaping torso.

Virus continued to happily eat away at the Earthling's corpse. The disgusting noise of cracking bone and slimy flesh being torn apart was enough to make anyone's stomach turn. But to Virus, it was delightful!

Once nothing remained of the Senbyo, Virus stood to his full height. Already he could feel the innate Ki of Nashi course through his body, far more potent than that of the other Earthling! An intense surge of power coursed through Virus, leaving him more powerful than ever before.

''Today was a good day.'' Virus hummed to himself, clenching his fists happily. Yet he could still hear the main battle rage on deep in the city's centre. Perhaps his lucky streak didn't have to end yet...

Casually humming another tune, Virus flew deeper into the City, eager to put his new power to the test.

...Besides, he still owed Mumbo, didn't he?
