A NOT-SO DEAD END
KONPA'S PL: 100
The planes to Heaven had the look of a billionaire's private jet. There were no rows of seats, only the most elegant leather couches and coffee tables with ornate, and even sometimes bejeweled legs. There were plush curtains at the windows and a plasma screen that was large as a movie theatre, by airplane standards. There were no bagged peanuts or chips- instead, Eggs, ham, piles of fried potatoes, and a tureen of fruit sits in ice to keep it chilled. The basket of rolls they set before me would keep living families for a week. And, of course, an elegant glass of orange juice, courtesy of one of the local Shinjin, finished off most of the meals spread for the newly perished, pure souls boarded for paradise.
Konpa was on her way to a new work station in Heaven herself, though the once empty plane made a stop at the Check-in Station to pick up a batch of the newly deceased to carry with. "...Waaait one darn dangy second." Konpa spoke to herself more than anyone, face now pressed hard against her window. The line of souls was packed- she'd never seen so many in one place for a good... two hundred years? And two hundred years ago, conflict was at it's all time high for the past millennium. Things had mulled out since then, but the sight of so many once more caused a lump to form in the blue humanoid's throat, a faint smile creeping across her face.
Konpa did feel bad for those that died, sure, but this was still a whole new opportunity for her if her gut was right! Was another swell of drama, conflict, blood, love, and thrills really so close now? She kind of hoped it was, as much as her internal, dutiful Shinjin side scolded that thought. "Sweeet." She muttered, already beginning to fantasize of the powerful warriors she could help and train, or even stand alongside sometime. "King Kai, you better watch your back." Konpa chimed to herself, smile still wide. Her hands were positioned behind her head as a cusion, legs crossed and propped up on the food-less side of the table. Already, humans, saiyans, zoanthropes and arcosians alike had began to board, the seats filling up fast. She even flashed a thumbs-up to a human who was holding hands with another who rested her head on his shoulder. Today was going to be a good day.
