There was an incident, perhaps more than one I was unaware of (perhaps they aren't here to speak on their behalf), where a post has 'disappeared' because the words or actions of a character IC was found to be unpleasant by the author of the character being spoken about.
I would like if there was a rule implemented for anyone with Post Deletion privileges, that they cannot delete posts to lend themselves an unfair advantage in the flow of conversation and/or action in a story.
In life, we take the pleasant with the unpleasant. Using a privilege that only a select few possess to 'warp reality' in favor of one's own character's sensibilities, should be - in my honest opinion - considered a rule infraction worthy of demotion and/or Ban.

No such event like you describe ever has happened as far as staff are aware. When the off chance happens when someone makes a mis-post on alt character when they should have posted with another or the like, staff move the accidental post to the hidden staff graveyard, but posts are NEVER deleted, unless absolutely necessary. Gains from the removed posts are taken back manually by staff, and it's like it was never there to begin with. Again, this is only for accidental posts that should NOT have happened, whether they were posted half-completed or with another character by accident.
Small edits to posts are fine with the details and things said, as long as the message and actions remain largely the same, and your post is still the most recent in the thread. If we find people using edits to cheat and get more gains, then consequence will be dealt out as needed. Again, an incident like this has NEVER occurred as far as we are aware.
