NAME: Imakaimaka ( 今か今か- “Is it now?”, eagerly awaits ) ALIASES: Imakai SPECIES: Shinji AGE: 1096 years OCCUPATION: Junior Civil Servant of the Department of Mortal Observation - North Quadrant Division GENDER: Genderless, identifies female HOME PLANET: Kashin AFFILIATIONS:
APPEARANCE: Imakai stands at 5 foot 4 inches and weighs approximately 147 pounds. She keeps her white hair in a long mohawk that drapes over the side of her face to hang below her chin. Her complexion is green, and while her eyes are so pale as to appear grey at times, they have the faintest emerald hue. Of an inquisitive nature, her eyes are eager and bright often taking on the guise of one absorbing the world around her with her full attention engaged.
Her attire, Manchu-style robes, is kept in good repair despite her active, some might even say hyperactive, lifestyle. Her preferences run to dark colors, with varying shades of deep blue, purples, or burgundy. Being not overly fond of further adornment, she does have ear piercings though her choice of ear rings is sedate; only a poor imitation of the Potara.
Although she does have her contemplative side, her intrinsic inquisitiveness keeps her moving more often than not. In an attempt to tame this restive energy, she trains in martial arts and maintains a well toned physique. Moving as one at ease in her body, her motions are rarely awkward unless distracted by some matter. Just as often she may be so fully engaged in an object of study that she will become quite still and unaware of the world around her.
BACKGROUND: On Kaishin 1096 years ago, Imakaimaka was born of an ordinary fruit from the Kaiju tree. Within their leisurely society she had ample opportunity to indulge her curiosity in the world around her naturally gravitating toward a keen interest in the healing arts. It was satisfying to her to be able to identify an ailment and then provide remedy and relief. During her time at the academy her explorations became more diverse, and soon she exhibited a marked talent in the mystical arts. Her love of healing carried through making this the core focus of her studies. Naturally this suited her growing obsession with the Realm of the Living.
While her skills seemed to indicate a position with the Celestial Bureaucracy would be the best fit, her restless nature soon exerted itself taking her down a different path. These Mortal Beings intrigued her in a unique way for she could see patterns in the seeming endless generations through her observations. Though much eluded her understanding she developed a sense of compassion for the short lived ones that could not be denied. So it was that she was assigned to the Department of Mortal Observation, North Quadrant Section.
Here she came under the supervision of one of the Senior Civil Servants of the Sector, a Shinjin named Kansatsusha. At first the two seemed to clash, although that is too violent a description for the petty annoyances that grew. His dispassionate nature was in opposition to her own. The air of detachment between himself and those he observed confused her. No doubt her emotional responses were received with a level of confusion in return. Following her supervisor’s suggestion, she began joining him at the dojo for training.
Supposedly the practicing of martial arts would bring her much needed enlightenment. Though skeptical, she respected the man’s break from indifference in making the personal assessment enough to give it a go. In truth her curiosity was piqued more than anything but it wouldn’t hurt to acquire more discipline and hone her body at the same time. The holistic approach appealed to her nature, promoting a healthy mind, body, and spirit among its practitioners rather than focusing upon inflicting injury as though training for war. Even so, as her skill in self-defense grew some of that wild energy was harnessed bringing with it a measure of control.
It was of Master Kashikoi that she grew particularly fond, though he was certainly no push over where the young Shinjin was concerned. His guidance, given with a firm hand and strict regime, was exactly what she needed to even begin taming her exuberant nature and focus her inner being. The training greatly aided her in dealing with the dramas playing out before her as she performed her duties in the Department of Mortal Observation. At the same time she grew concerned about Kansa’s continuing detachment. She was not the only one.
Approached by their sensei, the elderly Shinjin felt it was appropriate for Kansa to live among the mortals for a time. In this manner perhaps he would gain greater understanding of these beings. Rather shocked that Kashikoi would seek her opinion on the matter she gave it as objectively as possible while keeping any misgivings to herself. If the elderly man though it was what was required who was she to second guess him? Even so, she had to wonder what being submerged in such cultures would do to the man, so from time to time she would watch him through her job where he was stationed on planet Vegeta. Creepy or not, it was fortunate that she did.
Well, Kashikoi had mentioned that months had gone by without a report from Kansa so she went snooping. That was when she observed the attack on Vegeta by the Arcosians. Unable to locate Kansa, she does see refugees leaving the world and heading toward Earth. On impulse, for she certainly has not completely purged such behavior from her system, she obtains leave and determines to journey to Earth and find word of him herself. Traveling by use of her Kai Kai ability, she arrives on Earth and begins her search.
Kai Kai - Once per month, you can travel between the realms near-instantly, visiting the Mortal Realms, Otherworld and the Kai Planets, or Hell. At the start, you can only teleport yourself, but your ability to take others along increases by 1 every 100,000 Power Level, capping at 5 extra "riders" at 500,000 Power Level. Bringing a non-living being back to the Mortal Realms will allow them to stay in the Mortal Realms for 24 OOC hours, and are unable to join DE threads. If they have accompanied you or other Shinjin once before whilst dead, they are unable to accompany you again.
Godly Prowess - Shinjin start with two extra technique slots, which must be used for magic-based techniques. In addition, Shinjin also gain access to the "Mystic" Signature Technique Branch.
Heavenly Bias - If a Shinjin dies, they may skip judgment from Yemma and be sent to the Grand Kai worlds. Though they will still be considered dead, they can use Kai Kai to travel to the Mortal Realms for a mere 24 OOC hours with an inability to join Death Enabled threads before being sent back to Otherworld.
First Transformation: Kaio
Description: An innate power of her people, Imakai's first transformation enables her to double her power level. While her Ki aura is pale lavender in hue at its base level, when accessed it deepens to a dark blue violet color.
Effects: Multiplies Power Level x2
[SU1] Afterimage: Through a sudden burst of speed Imakai leaves behind a static image of herself to distract her opponent, this technique allows her to completely dodge techniques beneath 100% of her PL. This technique uses 1 KP in KP Battles.
RACIAL SIGNATURES: Mystic Style [ Healer ]
[SU1] Novice Magi: Adds the [SU1] "Healing" technique to your list of known techniques. At the cost of 1 KP, you can heal a target player for 33% of their Power Level.
[SU2] Adept Healer: Adds the [SU2] "Healing" technique to your list of known techniques. At the cost of 2 KP, you can heal a target player for 66% of their Power Level.

A Concerned Co-worker - [ Completed ] - Arriving on Earth to locate her Supervisor, Kansa, she is stranded on the planet for 30 days. Kansa offers an unused office in the residence he shares with his Saiyan friend, Topaeo for her to stay until her return to the Otherworld.
History is well-established and very good, but there's one itty bitty touch with your techniques that needs fixing.
The Mystic Signature Techniques are not attained like normal techniques. The [SU1] version costs one tech slot like any other technique, but the [SU2] version needs two on it's own, and [SU3] needs four. You could get [SU2] healing to start, along with two other techniques of your choice, but your five starter tech slots don't accommodate for the top tier heals just yet. You can either start with SU1 and SU2 healing and two other tech slots, get SU1 and SU2 healing and save the other two tech slots for the eventual SU3 version, only have SU1 and four other tech slots, or anything else that comes to mind that I'm probably missing.
I'm not sure if I worded this right, but once you made the edit, let me know and I'll get right back to you!
