BIO-ANDROIDS
|| NAME PUN THEME: Genetic Terms | STARTING PLANET: Anywhere || CANON EXAMPLES
BACKGROUND
APPEARANCE: Often share characteristics of their their biological constituents (*whichever races these may be), though insectoid characteristics are also a common enhancements utilized in their creation designs.
HISTORY: Like the natural organic life it imitates, the Bio-android progresses through stages of growth during its lifetime, and these stages of growth are often (*but not always) accompanied by the need to absorb or digest others in order to survive or grow. Some Bio-androids are created deliberately by governments, corporations, or renegade laboratories, while others are accidents of science, nature, or even magic. Many have a natural distrust or fear of these creations, as their proliferation is not as widespread as their mechanical cousins, and they are often used at the forefront of experimental and sometimes illicit weapons projects. Many Bio-androids seek to downplay their differences and live in harmony with the Universe, while others revel in their place as the ultimate intersection of biological life and technology.
TRAITS
| Bio-androids have various characteristics, either emulated or directly inherited from other races. Some examples might include Namekian regeneration, durability, zenkai, or other beneficial traits. These act as 'hybridized' traits, slightly weaker than a pure species would be, but still very useful. You can pick up to three of the following:
- Saiyan: A weakened Zenkai.
- Arcosian: Durability without space-breathing.
- Namekian: Weakened 50% Regeneration and Elasticity.
- Demon: For one post, you can treat your next technique as if your transformation modifier was an additional +x1.
- Human: Quick-Witted, but Techniques cost 500 PL less, rather than 1,000.
- Ogre: Blue or Red Ogre Trait.
- Aliens: One moderate trait of choice. You can't pick Alien multiple times.
- Shinjin, Majin, Androids, Bio-Androids, Ghosts: Unavailable for use.
|
| In a Death-Enabled Thread, you can attempt to absorbed an incapacitated, unconscious or dead foe. If successful, you gain 25% of the foes Power Level (or 25,000 Power Level; whichever comes first). If this would push your Base Power Level past the requirements for Semi-Perfect or Perfect form, you unlock it immediately. If not, then when you reach that level of power, you may unlock the form freely. Bio-Androids have a lifetime absorb cap of 50,000. However, if an absorption would push the bio-android to their next permanent form, they may exceed this cap. Additionally, an absorption cannot occur if the defeated opponent has been vaporized or disintegrated by the attack that killed them, though this can be overruled if the vaporization is deemed to have been done solely to OOCly prevent an absorption attempt.
|
| A fledgling Bio-Android uses all the resources available to survive. If an absorption is made without attaining the level of Semi-Perfect, the Bio-android may choose from its victim's non-signature techniques and use it as their own. |
