Vocado's scouter beeped harshly as he floated above the Bamboo Forest. This was the place, or at least the general area. One of his soldiers-- a Saiyan by the name Cress-- had apparently found a pair of Saiyans from Vegeta. They were a bit late to the party, it seemed, but any new face would be welcome. Besides, their late arrival could actually prove useful; maybe they had more information to report from the home-front.
The sun shone brightly above as he landed in a particularly large clearing. The grass here was stomped down, and whatever Bamboo still survived was cut dreadfully short. In its center was a hastily-made bonfire, its embers still smoldering quietly in the aftermath of last night's flame. Surely this was a campsite not long ago, but for whom?
"Hello? Anyone home?"
King Vocado cracked his knuckles idly, clicking his Scouter on again as he surveyed the area. Something was alarmingly strong nearby. A fighter with no more than a thousand Battle Power was lurking the outside of the clearing. A wild beast, perhaps? But what Earthling creature could accrue such strength?
Just then, it broke the bamboo-line, shrieking with its phlegm-filled maw. Vocado turned on his heel and stuck his foot outward, catching the beast on his boot easily. It lost its breath from the force of the strike, slumping over, before slipping right off his foot with a dull thud on the grass. The Saiyan's brow crooked curiously as he looked the thing over. A Saibaman? Here? Who was breeding Saibamen to attack Saiyans? His mind wandered, and so too did his Scouter, but nothing was coming up. Maybe this thing's owner could suppress their energy somehow.
He knelt down over the creature, inspecting it carefully. Its body had been nearly completely decimated from that single blow. Surely Saibamen were more durable than that, no?
"No, this is wrong," he decided internally. "It must have been a premature birth. Could its owner have sensed me coming and hatched it to fend me off?"
Something strange was going on for sure. Whatever it was, he decided it'd probably be easier to decipher with Cress' help... Wherever he was.
