VANISHING SHIPMENTS! A GHOSTLY SIEGE? | Banshee's PL: 57,000 (Base 19,000 - x3 Modifier) |
The mountainous roads that lead to North City have always been fraught with danger. The difficult turns and potentially perilous falls led to many shipping companies opting to fly in supplies instead. Of course, not every shipment came in by air, and some smaller trucks could still make the journey without too much trouble. When one or two went missing over the course of a week, it was cause to send search and rescue into the area, though few would have been particularly surprised by the news. More concerning was that the shipments were not at the bottom of a steep drop as many had suspected, but had rather seemingly vanished into thin air. Shortly after, another set of trucks went missing with the same result. That led to a bulletin being sent throughout town, warning of a mysterious danger along the roads. On the one hand, maybe it served to remind some of the more reckless companies operating out of the city as to the value of air travel. But regardless, there was clearly an issue that had to be fixed.
It was around noon just a day after the bulletin had been placed that another truck making its way around the winding roads radioed into the city, reporting sightings of a strange, ghostly figure stalking the road. That report soon made its way to the police, which then led to some commotion in its own right. As helicopters and cars scrambled to go to the aid of the spooked driver, those with the right senses may well be able to tell that those civilian enforcers had little to no chance at overcoming this threat on their own. The power of the ghost responsible for the vanished shipments, now racing alongside the road in silent pursuit of yet another victim, was such that it could be read from a fair distance away. This was certainly no ordinary haunting.
As the driver came upon one of many perilous bridges, he was forced to slam on the brakes. With a loud *crack*, the old bridge crumbled from the inside, cutting his path off in turn of events that did little to ease his skyrocketing blood pressure. He thought the ghost was following him, and soon he had confirmation. A woman came into sight in his rear-view mirror, clad in simple attire with a conical farmer's hat. A large scythe rested on her shoulder, and she smirked at him.
"Forgive me," she called to the driver in an ethereal voice, far too calm for the tense situation. "But this is a necessary evil."
Banshee is attacking shipments coming into North City to try to lure heroes out for a fight!
She's using her 3x Haunting form to appear in her human guise.

CARRO'S PL: 10 LEO'S PL: 72,000 (BASE: 24,000 (x3) - OVERDRIVE ACTIVE!)
The bus was sleek, running over the black tarmac so fast that the passing greenery became a hazy blur. The windows were beaded and the rain beat on the roof like some crazy drummer. Inside the passengers were a curious mixture of cozy and bored, all them itching for the destination that will come eventually. Until then they read, feign sleep, do crosswords and tell jokes. Some read newspapers, or work on laptops, most periodically check texts and smart phones- the addiction of this age, it seemed. All the while the engines purr; the aroma is of new plastics and fabrics. Carro sighed as a child began to cry in the back of the vehicle while being worriedly coddled by it's mother, the saiyan all the while tapping away at a report on his laptop.
His stop was almost approaching- the saiyan was staying at his friend, Tianum's, place for the night since the plane that was supposed to take him home never came- something about a ghost, people said. Carro shrugged it off though- like the unsuspecting clod he was. Saving his document, Carro rested his head on a raised hand, eyes blinking with a tired air, one at a time. How much longer was this going to take?
A lurch in his stomach made him think the bus was coming to a stop, if only for a split second before he realized they were falling. Screams and cries rang out when the bus and a truck behind it fell victim to a preying spirit's shenanigans, Carro's included for a moment. He fell to the floor, gasping as water already began to pour into the now sinking bus' hull! A flash caught the saiyan's attention, coupled with some rhythmic beeping from his wrist... And without a second thought, the saiyan's hand slammed on that big red button around his arm.
The rumbling was barely noticeable at first- neither was a strange ripple in the skies above. However, that little prodding poke at the air above grew to a resounding rip.
A metallic screech echoed through the skies, a massive portal opening up in the air above. As per a certain saiyan's command call, a massive, felinoid form lurched forwards, her claws bared as her form dive-bombed down, aiming to pluck both the bus Carro resided in, along with the unsuspecting truck out of the water, dropping the two on the other side of the bridge after another mid-air corkscrew.
Carro peered out of the bus window, flashing a meek grin and a thumbs-up to his cat companion, earning a purr from the mecha. Should LEO make it to the other side of the bridge in one piece, she'd turn her gaze to the odd glowing figure, scans beginning to asses the threat with a low growl...

Saizo PL: 27,000
It had been a long day for Saizomaru. At first he had to babysit a couple of kids in a village, and then he found himself training a few little warriors-to-be. It wasn't an uneventful day to be sure.
Now he found himself in the torrential downpour of the mountain climate during his travels. Rain and claggy dirt stuck to the underside and around his boots, making each step more arduous than was necessary as each footfall nearly got it stuck in the mud. His soaked long hair did little to ease the weight that was slowly accumulating on his body. It was good that he was an android—no chance of coming down with double pneumonia.
He had his reasons for being here though. Just moments ago he was receiving news station reports through his communications channel of sightings of a ghostly apparition that haunted the mountain roads. Even police enforcement radio frequencies were talking about it. The sounds of helicopter rotors and police sirens in the distance confirmed that they were on the case. Clambering over the cliff faces to take a shortcut, Saizomaru headed in their direction.
But the android stopped when he came upon a calamitous scene. One of the bridges that connected one side of the mountains to the other had collapsed, and a couple of vehicles had fallen into the ravine below. But from seemingly out of nowhere, a large creature dove in from the skies as though it was some sort of divine intervention. In its huge metallic paws it held the vehicles, hoisting them out from the water. Saizomaru found himself with a huge smirk. Super metal kitty!
But on the other side was still another delivery truck, stopped in place with its headlights beaming through the rainstorm. And next to that truck was a lone figure, small and lithe from where the android was. But his sensing of their strength told him all that he needed to know.
So that's the ghost…
Without further delay, Saizomaru bolted from the edge of the cliff peak and soared through the sky, clearing over the broken bridge and over both the metal lion and the ghost. He came to a landing, his propulsors sending out a deep Thoom as they disengaged, and skidded along the dirt before coming to a stop several meters behind the truck and the ghostly figure.
"Nailed that like a boss," said Saizomaru, proud of his landing. He quickly turned to face the ghost. "Yo!"
He began to scan the otherworldly person. A female, judging by their build and figure. Long black hair ran down her back and past her waist. She wore a charcoal-grey robe and undershirt, almost looking like a farmer. The straw hat and large scythe added to the effect.
"Y'know… haunting delivery drivers isn't exactly the best of ways to scare people," mocked the android half-heartedly, his lips forming a small smirk. "So… What's your story? Postal service run over your cat and now you're out for revenge?"

It had become rather rare that anything particularly major happened at least crime wise, in North City. Sure there was still the standard sort of petty crime and occasionally something a bit bigger, but by and large the fact that the city was home to the Headquarters of a group of superpowered heroes seemed to have driven off a lot of the particularly nasty types.
Unfortunately however the presence of the Pride Troopers in North City also meant that anything that DID go down was likely to be caused by a particularly powerful individual or group, while thankfully the city had escaped such thing for the most part recently today was an unfortunate break from the norm as Koban received a rather frantic call from one of his contacts in the North City police, the frantic nature of that call was enough to get Koban’s full attention, his friend was not the sort to be shaken so easily.
But from what he described it seemed that the problem at hand was some sort of angry ghost. Koban’s immediate response was to send out a message to Sam, the Pride Trooper’s resident expert on the supernatural. While Sam had taught him so good ways to deal with Ghosts and given him a decent enough understanding of what to expect it was still always better to have an expert on hand, with any luck his demonic friend would have enough time to break from his current case to lend a hand.
Koban did not wait for a response, however, by what he had been told there were already people in danger and no amount of inexperience with Spirits would keep Koban from his work.
When Koban arrived on the scene he was pleased to see that he was not the only one who had come to the defense of North City’s people a massive mechanical lion was moving to engage the Spirit while a man with quite a lot of mechanical augmentations spoke with her.
Koban touched down between the Spirit and the man in the truck “You know, I’m not exactly sure what this truck is supposed to be delivering. But I think you’ll find it a bit easier to just visit a store to buy what you want.” Koban said crossing his arms over his chest and giving the Spirit an appraising look. She was strong, VERY strong, but with the aid of the lion mech, he was certain they could handle her, assuming, of course, the Lion was a possible ally.
“My friend Sam says Ghosts usually have a drive for doing what it is they do, I hope yours is something more than just ‘causing havoc for the living’ since that one is apparently pretty common.”

VANISHING SHIPMENTS! A GHOSTLY SIEGE? | Banshee's PL: 57,000 (Base 19,000 - x3 Modifier) |
Banshee had hoped to lure one or two weaker heroes into a confrontation, but it seemed she had snared three. The large, mechanical cat was worrying enough before it was joined by another mechanical being, this one resembling a human. She figured it was a safe bet the pair were working together, given their similar features. The third arrival was a little more what she had been expecting: a true-blue (literally) hero, complete with the cape. Her lips curled into a faint smirk at the sight, but she took a pace back to keep her distance from that mechanical lion. Heroes were one thing, but mechanical creations were a threat still somewhat foreign to her.
“This has been quite the response. I take it I ruffled a few feathers in the city, hm?” her eyes narrowed towards the mechanical man at his comments, and she spun the scythe around in her hand idly. It seemed oddly weightless, twirled around as balanced as a baton despite the heavy-looking blade attached to it. Leaning from side to side to inspect him further, she finally answered. “I’m not haunting delivery drivers. I'm using them as bait, and you and your friends bit. If it weren't necessary, I wouldn't have bothered them...”
Finally, she looked back to the hero. She didn’t react much to his joke, but when he questioned her motives, she abruptly stopped twirling her scythe around, planting its end into the ground as she stared him down. “Causing havoc for the living is certainly a good way to get at it, my colourful friend. But that’s not my drive. I didn’t come here for long, drawn out speeches or sob stories, so I’ll give you the short of it.”
Her eyes narrowed at him, the other two fading from her mind momentarily as she became fixated. “You are the reason I’m doing what I do. Your type. Heroes more fixated on winning glory from facing down famous threats than on the people they claim to protect.”
"Consider me collateral damage, back from the grave to haunt those responsible," her smirk turned into a look of mocked-regret. "And if my newfound condition has left me a little violent towards others from time to time... Well. I never said I wasn't a hypocrite."

CARRO'S PL: 10 LEO'S PL: 72,000 (BASE: 24,000 (x3) - OVERDRIVE ACTIVE!)
Carro waved his hand in pain, trying to shake off some wounds from some shattered glass that had pierced his fragile body. LEO, having fully scanned the ghost from afar, was now crouched down to eye the bus instead, purring to herself in pride. A mother was coddling her children, while others either stared in awe or fear at their massive feline savior outside, to which Carro climbed out of a broken window to approach. The panther lowered her form, massive head resting gently in Carro's hand.
"Well, LEO. You did a good. Happy?" The saiyan rolled his eyes, earning another prideful coo from the leader Plexroid. "...We should get going, though. I don't want you to get scraped up in this mess." The saiyan began, glancing away, but his eyes drifted back to the scene with Banshee when and the mechanical man and blue-skinned caped hero, not too far from them.
"..." Carro remained silent, his gaze fixed on the spirit, who briefly explained her motive. Heroes, Z-Fighters, whatever you wanted to call them- she was after them? Carro never was fond of either the black or white side of the spectrum himself, but... The saiyan clenched a fist. He wanted to leave with his tail intact, but a little prideful spark in his heart said otherwise. LEO's gaze was trained with a deadpan glare on Carro the entire time- she knew him too well by now. "Yeah, yeah, I know." The saiyan dismissed the cat, who let out a mechanical laugh. "Just watch my back, will you?"
THUNK "HEY, CLOD!"
With a graceful pounce, LEO's lunge would place her and the saiyan gripping onto some handlebars on the side of her head beside the ghost and the two would-be Z-Fighters. "I don't give much of a crap of what drives our "protectors" myself, even though that's kinda depressing to know if it's true, but would you be still happy if everyone they were defending, intentionally or not, were all miserable?" Carro snapped at the ghost despite a few sweat drops dripping down his head. Already his brain was screaming loud to bail while he still could, despite their increased numbers against the ghost- spirits were known to be very, very vengeful. "I'd be broken if all I've worked for, as weak as I am, was taken away- don't ask me how many sleepless nights I've spent budgeting my company. Would you really rather put THAT loss on the millions of others who didn't ask to be a part of this mess of black and white?!"
LEO gave another snap and hiss, eyeing the group cautiously. Carro himself was no hero-preacher or lover- he didn't care much for being good or bad himself in all honesty if he could just keep Crop Co. afloat. Yet, knowing there were plenty of others like him that were likely going to be sucked in this mess... If he could keep just one person free from this burden, then the saiyan would be happy.

Saizo PL: 27,000
Saizomaru gave a small shrug coupled with a light smirk on his half-synthetic lips. "Ah, not so much as 'ruffled my feathers' as much as 'piqued my interest'," the android responded to her perceptive statement. His eyes watched her as she began to make swift-yet-elegant movements. The spinning of her scythe was definitely a spectacle. He'd give it an eight. "Still—" he folded his arms across his chest. His expression went from pleasant to stern "—using innocent people as "bait" just so you can look for a fight. A dishonourable tactic if ever there was one. But then again… do the dead really care for honour?"
Her attention was drawn to a newcomer—a man with pale blue skin, orange hair, and an extravagant costume that made him look like some sort of comic book superhero. He even had a cape to complete the whole visage. Saizomaru shot him a quick glance, but shook his head. For a superhero cosplayer, he sure didn't sound the part.
The two began to have their little spat. For a moment the android didn't care for their life stories, but something drew his attention.
"Consider me collateral damage…"
What was left of his mortal heart sank when he had heard that. The ghost did little to hide the meaning of her words, and Saizomaru understood it well.
Before he could reproach her, the ginger boy on top of his mechanical feline friends spoke out. He waited until he was done, and gave a sigh before he spoke, "As much as I don't care for the kid's life story… he has a point." He turned to Carro and pointed up at him. "And you need to watch your language around a lady. Don't make me come up there and give you a good spanking." He shot the kid a mock-serious expression before he began to address the ghost once more.
"Pulling innocent people into your little game does little for you. If you had gone straight for the source of your "drive", then I woulda let you gone on your merry way. But… since you wanna sate your violence…" he unfolded his arms and began to roll each shoulder in succession "… then I'm game. I'd like to see how well you fight."

Koban listened to the spirit woman as she spoke, returning verbal jabs with the Android man and explaining that her attack was not to gain anything from the delivery’s but instead it was just bait claiming that it was ‘necessary’ and that she would not have done it otherwise. That had Koban VERY perplexed, for someone who seemed to claim that she certainly had not gone lightly on those she had attacked, and had they not arrived when they did it seemed pretty likely things would have just gotten worse.
Still Koban remained silent as she turned her attention to him directly, clearly not done speaking yet. When she addressed him and explained that his guess on what her situation was based on what he knew from Sam was incorrect she was not here to cause general havoc, she wanted to hurt heroes.
But it was HOW she had explained that that caused Koban to grit his teeth in anger, while he could certainly understand the Spirits anger based off of the rest of her explanation she would NOT let her get away with her claims about his drive “I’m sorry to hear that you were caught up in whatever resulted in your death. But you know NOTHING about what I do and why I do it. I didn’t become this” Koban said making a general gesture at himself rather than overtly calling himself a Hero.
“For ‘glory’ or ‘fame’ I did it to help people, to make this world, and one day the rest of the known worlds a better place. If I was the glory hound you seem to think I am I wouldn't spend the bulk of my days flying from city to city to help everywhere I can and in any WAY I can. I have MORE than enough contacts that if I really wanted to do what YOU think a hero does I could sit in my headquarters watching TV and training until I got a ‘good’ call” Koban’s expression soured at the idea.
“But I don’t, I spend only enough time there to get my workout done and get some sleep. I don’t know what happened to you to make you so bitter about the world, but I will NOT allow you to hurt anyone else, especially here, North City is the home of the Pride Troopers and I” there was a pause as Koban’s power swelled, his entire body extending slightly as he gained more muscle mass, his hair turning a vibrant red and his normally blue skin an emerald green.
“Am Koban, Captain of the Pride Troopers. I would suggest you stand down now.”

VANISHING SHIPMENTS! A GHOSTLY SIEGE? | Banshee's PL: 57,000 (Base 19,000 - x3 Modifier) |
The ghost’s intent gaze flicked between the trio of defenders, her attention finally falling upon the rather small Saiyan as he spoke. She leaned forward, eyes narrowing upon him at length. She barely seemed to register the words coming out of his mouth, her expression not changing in the slightest. Still as a statue, she studied him: sizing him up and trying to judge his character. It was only at his overt admission of his own weakness that she finally stood back up straight to reply. “I don’t think you understand how this world works, little monkey-boy. But enough innocent blood has been spilled over this matter, and you are not my quarry. For that reason... I will allow you and your friend to leave unharmed. You are not the type I have issue with, nor have you done anything to especially earn my ire.”
“Call it what you will,” her attention then turned to the android. “Honour is all well and good, but I have a purpose for being here and I cannot allow myself to be sidetracked by such petty concerns. Others can choose to take the high road if they wish: but I will continue to do what I must. I have no choice in the matter. Whether it’s distasteful to you and whether it’s distasteful to me --” she huffed. “It’s irrelevant.”
Her passive demeanor was only broken down by the apparent hero’s reaction. She didn’t have a particularly good read on any of those that had shown up, from their respective powers to their characters. But as the hero began to launch into his angered rant, the ghost blinked her eyes in surprise and opened her mouth to cut him off -- but no words came out. On the one hand, everything about him was offensive to her. From his colourful outfit and cape, to the way he had rushed in with a head full of steam and a one-liner. Even the spirited manner he defended his own reputation rang true with all of her negative impressions of his type. But, at the same time, if she was to believe his comments he might have been just a little closer to the image of a true hero than she had given him credit.
Or anyone else, for that matter.
Although his threat itself didn’t sway her, she found herself caught in a moment of doubt. Something more human seemed to flash across her features: a touch of regret as her eyes shot to the delivery truck that had almost fallen victim to her zeal. But it only lasted a moment before her expression hardened and she allowed the red aura around her to blaze outward in a display of her own power. She fell into a fighting stance, her scythe gripped in two hands at the ready.
“Very well then, heroes. Make your stand.”

"...Oh, I think we're likely both aware of how unfair this world is." Carro commented, eyes narrowed at the angered spirit. "Just leave the common folk like them and myself out of your grudgefests as much as you can help it, alright?" Carro turned his gaze to the group in general after panning his gaze to the spectating victims of the ghost from afar, but his attention was still mainly locked on the android. "They don't want a part of this. They want to live their lives. They don't want to die in a fight that isn't theirs."
Carro sighed, his gaze turning doubtful and fearful for a moment, a hand gripping the fabric of his shirt that rested over his heart. With a rant and flash though, the Heran powered up, earning a surprised and impressed glare from Carro as his scouter began to flicker and buzz with high numbers flashing- he'd be lying if he said he wasn't impressed. "...You guys can punch eachother however much- I don't care anymore." The saiyan admitted defeat, swallowing his pride, sending one last, sending an empathetic glance to the ghost's brief flash of doubt and regret, similar to his own at times... Maybe they weren't so different.
Regardless, after hopping inside the cockpit of his feline friend without so much of a second glance, the mecha lunged to the other side of the lake, beginning to escort the vehicles, both those that fell victim to Banshee and those who stopped by out of curiosity or concern away...

Saizo PL: 27,000
The android stood back to let the others say their piece. It seemed everyone had something to say about the philosophy of being a good Samaritan, though it was quickly beginning to bore Saizomaru. He sighed and folded his arms back across his chest as he listened to their spiel half-attentively.
He was somewhat surprised that the ghost was disavowing her violence towards the little ginger-haired saiyan kid, though it did make a lick of sense—there wasn't much to gain in killing a child. If anything it would just disenfranchise her "drive" as she called it.
What caught his attention more so than anything else was the heran's driven monologue. As much as the android respected his resolve and good will, he was beginning to nod off from his verbal diarrhoea. His choice of words weren't exactly one of inspiration either, or very heroic for that matter.
The sound of jet thrusters brought the silver-haired warrior back to reality from his bored stupor. He looked up as he watched Carro get inside his companion—acting as some sort of makeshift craft, apparently—before taking off. At least the boy had the decency to start mopping up the place and redirecting the bystanders away from the soon-to-be battleground. "Snot-nosed kid," he muttered to himself under his breath. "At least he's making himself useful."
With a sigh, the android unfolded his arms and gestured to the heran with a tilt of his head. "Yo, discount Captain Crunch," called out Saizomaru to the now green-skinned, fiery-haired warrior, "you reckon you can cut your promo short so we can deal with Snow White over here?"
A small smirk sprawled over his lips. He could feel his artificial body shake slightly in anticipation of a good fight. He held his hand to his leg, hand cupped. Plates shifted and slid to open up a hidden compartment in his thigh. A small framework of metal jutted out, containing a black, carbon fibre handle, and pressed into the android's palm. He gripped it before the compartment retracted, the plates closing around it.
"Seeing as you're… y'know, already dead, then I don't need to worry about hurting you too much." His thumb pressed against a small orange button on the side of the handle, releasing a long straight-edged blade that resembled a katana. "Now, I think it's only polite if we let the lady go first…"

For a few moments Koban was unsure if the Spirit would actually do as he requested and stand down, she very briefly adopted a strange look as she took in the area, maybe regretful? Before it became clear that she would stand her ground instead and her power flared around her.
The young man on the lion machine spoke his piece once more doing his best to convince the Spirit to leave him and people like him out of her quest for revenge, a sentiment that Koban could wholeheartedly agree with. If the spirit had problems with heroes for what one had done to her, then she should take that up directly with them.
Koban noded a small goodbye to the young mech pilot, and to his pleased surprise he saw that he was not simply leaving the battle but instead aiding in getting civilians out of potential harm's way.
Koban raised an eyebrow at the android man and shook his head “You are far too eager to jump into a fight” Koban said before turning his attention back to the Spirit “If this is what you want then fine.” and with that Koban would lunge forward taking a mighty swing at the Spirit.

VANISHING SHIPMENTS! A GHOSTLY SIEGE? | Banshee's PL: 57,000 |
The ghost remained still as the Saiyan left the field. His rather defeated comments again seemed to trigger something akin to regret in the ghost's expression, but as before, it vanished in moments. Her attention instead turned to the hero and android that were left behind. She spun the scythe about in her hand experimentally, breaking her stance while the man spoke -- but soon enough, she fell back into it, ready to engage or be engaged. Her eyes narrowed towards him at his comments. "Don't patronize me, robot. I'm more than capable of--"
Whatever she was about to say was abruptly cut off as the hero charged her. She twisted around to try to defend herself, but the gap between them was just too great. She might not be able to sense his power, but she could perceive a stark difference in speed -- and that gap only became more evident when his swing landed clean. Her eyes widened and the scythe fell from her hands, the blow enough to send her spiraling backwards into the mountain. She crashed into it, chipped rocks and debris spraying onto the road before her limp body followed.
It took her a long moment to push herself to her feet, reaching up to replace the hat atop her head. The fight had barely begun, and she was already badly injured and on the defensive. Her image seemed to phase in and out at random, like a screen experiencing static. While damage wasn't evident otherwise visually, that was enough of an indicator that something was going wrong. "You're -- strong," she stated, unnecessarily. "Stronger than I am by far."
A smirk etched across her features. "... so here we stand. Two heroes, ganging up on a less powerful adversary while mocking the civilian for wanting to retreat to safety. I wish I could say I was surprised by this, but..." she shook her head fiercely, before adopting her stance again. This time, it was a little off. Her guard was wavering, her feet weren't squared with her shoulders. By all measures, it had grown a little sloppy.
"I'm beaten. But I can't imagine you have any intention of ending this honourably. So come."
Banshee takes pretty critical damage on account of being less than half power compared to Koban. But she tries to make a point all the same!

Saizo PL: 27,000
The android blinked as he saw the heran rush in to deliver the first strike of this handicapped fight. Within the blink of an eye, like a lightning strike, a sudden thunderous crash of flesh and bone resounded as the hero delivered a powerful strike to their enemy. One second the ghost was standing nearby, the other she was embedded in a large crater in the cliff face.
"Dude," called out Saizomaru to his 'partner', "exactly what part of "let the lady go first" did you not get?" He sighed and shook his head. "If I'm too eager to fight, then you're too eager to show off…"
He lifted his head in time to see what remained of the dust and debris settle, watching the ghost fall onto the ground from where she was previously embedded. He watched her body began to flicker like a bad holographic projection and raised an eyebrow. Was she close to 'dying' already? Regardless, Saizomaru maintained caution. She was still plenty powerful, though apparently not as much as the caped warrior beside him. She had even confirmed it so.
The android hummed and gave a loose shrug as he took a few steps forward. "I'm no hero," he said casually and bluntly. He reached down and grasped a hold of the ghost's weapon, weightless in his hands as it were. Truly an interesting armament. "And to be fair, it's hardly ganging up when only one of them punched you in the snozz. Hell, I don't even have to be here—one punch man over there can take you by himself."
He glanced down at the blade of the scythe. He could see his own reflection in its mirrored surface. He didn't often see his own face, but any time he did it made him feel uncomfortable. A human subconsciously links a face with an identity. He still hadn't fully come to terms with who he now was. But he still had his honor. "That's rich, isn't it?" he called out to the ghost. "For someone who considers their honor irrelevant, you sure like to preach about it towards others." He flicked his wrist, tossing the girl's weapon back to her, letting it spin and slide along the dirt road before stopping in front of her.
"Pick up your blade. We're far from done."

Koban had expected things to play out pretty much exactly as they had, maybe it might have gone differently if the Spirit had been holding back, but Koban suspected that if she had been she would have revealed that power when she declared her challenge. No, as it stood he was FAR too strong for her. He was actually quite impressed with her tenacity though, maintaining her will to fight on even though she seemed well aware she stood no chance.
Koban rolled his eyes at the android warrior “She made the challenge, I accepted. This is not some fun spar between friends, this is a fight against someone willing to sacrifice innocent lives to get a rise out of someone.” Koban said shaking his head a bit at the man before returning his attention to the Spirit.
“Miss Spirit, you’re making that same mistake again, making assumptions about me. I never mocked him, if you take a good look he’s not simply retreated. He’s helping people, making sure that this fight that you instigated does not hurt anyone else by accident. ” Koban said crossing his arms over his chest.
“Ignore him. If you want this to be over, it’s over. I’m sure you’re aware this won’t end in whatever way you expected it to. I also don’t think you need to continue on the way you are, you won’t fix whatever problems you have with heroes by acting like this. You could do so much more by changing your approach.”
