Name
Polaire
Species
Arcosian
Power Level
17,875
Gender
Identifies Male
Age
32
Appearance
Polaire retains a fairly sleek appearance throughout all of his forms, with a primarily white and blue colouration. He is most commonly seen in his first form, where he has short horns that curve back slightly, shielded behind a modest crest over his forehead. His eyes are the very same distinct blue, and he often tops off his bicolour image with a long cape that takes on that very same blue form. Though fairly small in his first and final forms, Polaire maintains the daunting size of many of his kin in his Brute and Monster forms.
History
Polaire is not a good person: that much is immediately evident to any that take the time to get to know him. He spent most of his live as a staunch supporter of the World Trade Fleet, even participating in dangerous missions on their behalf. The most damning stain on his record as far as far as is questionable moral compass can be concerned was his participation in the subjugation of Planet Vegeta, where he dutifully aided in the plight of an otherwise proud species. He was, in many respects, openly and un-apologetically evil, viewing the world as being driven primarily by strength. In his mind, those that have it are at right to take what they will, and those that do not are naturally bound to live under the rule of those that do.
Though he never truly changed, Polaire has long had one guiding fear: that of his own mortality, and his ultimate fate after death. It is for that reason that Polaire sought out the Shinjin Kanrin on his last trip to Earth, months ago. He presented to the Shinjin a strange case: an Arcosian warrior desiring to reform himself, not out of any sense of regret or emotional change, but out of the selfish desire to avoid divine punishment upon his death. In matters of life and death, he is not one of those that possess the aforementioned, all-important strength, and he wishes more than anything to ensure that he can get on the good side of those who have it. Hell is not a destination he particularly wishes to be trapped in.
While Kanrin had some doubts as to Polaire's motivations, he ultimately decided to take on the Arcosian as both a student and something of a bodyguard. He fully recognizes that, at heart, his student lacks the moral fiber he usually looks for in his students, but believes himself capable of not only helping him reform in image, but to his very core. Not everyone is thrilled by this 'project', but managing to turn an otherwise dastardly villain down onto the straight and narrow may go a long way in proving Kanrin's assertion that, in the end, even the worst among the living can be turned to good.
Techniques
Offensive
[N1] Kanrikosen: Polaire fires a beam of bright, white ki from his fingertip, which flies in a straight line towards his target. This is originally a technique used by Kanrin himself, but has been adopted by Polaire due to its superiority to his previous ki-based attacks. A slight variation in firing allows the beam to be tuned to pierce through its target for killing blows, or to strike with concussive force for non-lethal attacks. Deals 33% PL damage.
[UP2] Kanrikosen Blue: Polaire's own advance on Kanrin's technique sees even more of the user's power channeled into the attack. The colour has also turned from white to blue, reflecting the Arcosian's influence. As before, it can be turned to either pierce or strike with concussive force. Deals 66% PL damage.
Support
[SU1] Afterimage: Through a sudden burst of speed you leave behind a static image of yourself to distract your opponent, this technique allows you to completely dodge techniques beneath 100% of your PL. This technique uses 1 KP in KP Battles.
