To Van’s horror, the large robot from before was dead set on protecting the empty building, even with the knowledge that there was no one inside. “No, you fool…” His fist shook, all he wanted was to understand something beyond anything he’d ever tried to comprehend before. And now here he was looking like a liar in front of not only earth's protector but also someone he counted as a friend.
Van-80 threw the small guardian a furious glare, convinced this little girl could not understand his plight. “And tell me just how someone could possibly be harmed by losing possessions. They have their lives, they have their family, if they can not see the beauty in that then that is what we call ‘Vanity!’” The android had plenty more choice words for the doragon, however, he decided to let his current ally, do the talking after he agreed to provisos set in place. “Thank you Mumbo.”
Finally, it was Sulfur’s turn, Van’s eyes widening as she not only offered to let her join him on his mission but offered herself as a possible outlet for all this rage. He would walk slowly towards the avali, feet dragging slightly as if his body knew what he was going to do and refused to do it. Still, as he drew close, he would put his finger gun to Sulfur’s forehead, a wide grin doing a poor job to hid his fear. “I don’t think you understand,” he’d speak pressing his ‘gun’ harder into her head, “Though now I don’t blame you. In this situation, you’re like me, flailing blindly until you hope to hit something remotely like what you were after. What I’m after anyway.” The beautiful robots fingers would then glow. No doubt Sulfur could feel the heat radiating from his fingertips, leaving her a little burned if she didn’t move. “Tell me, what’s going through your mind? Do you feel beautiful, or is that just your dress?” Now the android had no intention of shooting his friend, only scaring her, or rather enlightening her.
Then, one last person showed up. Vanity looked over, seeing he wasn’t the only android in town who could fuse. Of course, that was only second in his mind, as his face contorted into a twisted toothy grin as he tried to process what he was seeing. “You’re dead.” His tone was surprisingly calm for someone who just saw a ghost. “Tell me then, whoever you are, what were Amber’s last thoughts. What went through her mind as she pulled the trigger to try and end her own life.” He was so focused on the new person that he failed to pick up yet another energy signal drawing in at high speed.
Just one moment after he finished talking, Ima shot into sight, passing her partner. “Forgive me, everyone,” she began straightening herself up, “Van is clearly not himself today. Perhaps we can all reschedule this meeting some other time?” She would give Crys a sharp look, hoping to cut her off before she could put any ideas into her partners head. “Van-80, I know you are beyond words right now. So I am just going to give you one chance to stop this before I force you. Put your fingers down NOW!"
