It took him a week before Lunatus became worried. At first, he believed that he had angered him, maybe he had texted him something wrong? However, it didn't seem to be in his nature to ignore him for an extended period of time. He would send him a text every couple of days to no response. Finally, after two months of no contact, Lunatus had taken it into his own hands to learn what had happened to Choco. After sending his family a friendly message asking them where he went, he was met with a surprising truth. He also had been missing for a couple months, although they had suspected that his cousin had taken him into Satan, no, that wasn't the city's name anymore. Badman City. The name itself had made him shiver, however, he was determined to learn where he went. Even with the warnings, he received nothing would change his mind.
He had left early in the morning, leaving a note to his roommate about how he had left to take care of some business at Crop Co. However, one single call could easily debunk his entire alibi. But it was a risk that he was willing to take if it would keep her from following him. It was around morning when he had arrived near the outskirts of Badman City, making sure to take caution as he entered the area. From a distance, he could already feel something was wrong. The air just felt heavy with something that he couldn't describe. He would catch a small glimpse of the figures hiding in the shadow before they disappeared. As much as he didn't want to go through with this he had no choice. Quietly walking into the city, Lunatus learned of the true reality of the situation. Sure TV programs did enough to scare him away, but only its true horrors could be witnessed in person. If Choco was truly in here, would he be able to find him?
The android didn't dare call out his name lest he attracts unwanted attention. His mind began to search for the deer as he attempted to speak within his mind for the first time in months. Choco where are you? Are you safe? It's me Lunatus. As he reached out to his friends, unbeknownst to him several moral turned citizens were eyeing him. As he passed by from where they were hiding, he was quickly caught off guard as one raised his weapon and sent it crashing down on his head. Error. Error. The red words flashed across his vision as a bat made a dent in his head. He hardly had time to look up before the others pounced onto him, smashing their weapons and stomping all across his body. Choco... He called out one last feeble time, doing his best to stay awake against what his AI was telling him.

IN SEARCH OF WHAT'S DEER
CHOCO'S PL: 27,801
Down the streets, there was a man who stood out in the dark city. Choco, in his deer form, was dawned in a black t-shirt with white text saying 'I SURVIVED BADMAN CITY'. He had his hair tied back in a ponytail which he was really starting to like, was carrying an ice cream cone with his one arm. With a lick of the snack, he surprisingly looked happy. I mean, things weren't great, a lot of his friends were dead but he was in a position he that would support his plan. Living in Badman City, he can be closer to Chamil and get her closer to the path of good. He also wasn't getting treated too poorly by her, they didn't get along completely but it was fine. Overall, thing were okay.
But as he was walking, Choco heard something, not from a distance or anything but surprisingly in his head. He could have sworn he was imagining things, but in his mind he heard the voice of Lunatus calling for him. Choco looked around confused, "Hmmm...strange." For a moment, he ignored the voice and continued down the street, but it wasn't long before he heard it again, and this time his voice sounded more desperate. It was just then as he turned the corner that he could hear the sounds of banging metal, and Choco began moving at a faster pace.
Soon some shapes came into view, a small group circling someone, and it was just who Choco thought. They were beating down on Lunatus, and the star demon dropped his ice cream while quickly running over. He grabbed one by the collar of their shirt and chucked them through a window, as the others would turn towards him, he'd dispatch of them as well by slamming and throwing them around. He had to deal with these crazed citizens on a daily basis, so it didn't take much to deal with them. With that done he would quickly crouch down to his friend in peril and grab him by the shoulder.
"Come on, please don't tell me they got you already!" He'd try and pull Lunatus up, bringing him over to wall he could possibly lean on. As he brought him over, Choco would snap his fingers a few time. "Keep with me and try to listen, you gotta get out of here right now, this isn't the place for you!" If it hadn't became obvious, he was more focused on keeping the android safe rather than giving explanations. Those would have to wait for later.

Was this truly the end? As the blows continued without any foreseeable end, Lunatus merely gave up. Hopefully, someone would find his remains and if he was lucky, someone would be able to find his drive containing all his core memories so that he would be rebuilt at the very least. However, it was unlikely it would happen. Who would even come into Badman City? As his systems began to shut down, numbers began to flash in his eye, landing on a familiar number briefly. However, it quickly cut out as someone's foot stopped into his eye, causing him to lose vision. Was he beginning to malfunction as well? Soon, his only working eye landed on a familiar face. It looked like the Choco he knew, although he was now minus an arm. He chuckled to himself, as he closed his eye. At least his last moment would be of him. The finishing blow he had expected never came, and instead, he felt the blows stopping.
The next thing he heard was the sound of snapping. Opening his eye, he looked at the deer. The emotion of relief was overwhelming. "Choco" He said, his voice distorted due to the damage to his voice box. Upon hearing this he winced, instead opting to just speak into his mind. You're alive. I'm so glad you're safe. But what happened? His eye trailed over to where Choco's left arm once was. Lifting his own arm weakly, he would then gently touch the stump. What happened to your arm? At the suggestion that he leave, Lunatus shook his head. I can't, not without you. Plus, I'm too broken to move by myself. He said with a low chuckle. His encounter with the crazed citizens of Badman City didn't leave him unscathed. While most of his internal systems were fine, his body was still in bad shape. The jetpack that Mera made him was now just a hunk of useless metal strapped to his back and most of the synthetic skin was scraped off, especially around his arms and face. His right eye and lower leg were smashed, in dire need of a replacement. Unless there was a nearby mechanic, there was no way Lunatus would be able to go home at all. With a pleading look in his eye, Lunatus tried to get eye contact with him. Come home with me. Once I get fixed, I'll even make you a new arm.

IN SEARCH OF WHAT'S DEER
CHOCO'S PL: 27,801
Choco gave a sigh of relief when Lunatus responded, he was happy that they were okay, to the point he wasn't even going to question how he had some sort of telepathic abilities. Though it was obvious Lunatus had his own questions, and he was going to give some answers as they would leave, but there was something else he also expected to happen. Lunatus didn't want to leave Choco, and it physically pained him. He stood in silence for a bit, before dragging Lunatus off into an alleyway. Once he was sure they were out of sight, Choco would lean towards his friend.
"Alright, I'll give you some explanations. But right after that, I'm taking you out of here." Choco looked down towards his stub. "First thing is first, I lost it in the fight to protect the city, it was blown clean off...thankfully I went unconscious immediately after the wound. Second though..." It was going to take a lot to say this to Lunatus, he had feelings for his friend, but now wasn't the time to think about those. He just needed to get this over with and bring him outside the city. "Second is, I can't leave. I made a promise to my cousin that I wouldn't in hopes that I can get closer to her, maybe bring back the one I knew from my child hood. But with that, if I leave the city, she will try to kill me. I don't want to have her hunt me down then have you get hurt in the crossfire. So that's why I'm taking you back home then immediately coming back and you can't say anything to change my mind!"
And so, a little hurt by the fact he had to drop this news to his android friend, he would look over to a manhole cover. Grabbing Lunatus's hand, he bring him over to it and break the cover in half with his feet. "Let's go." He would then attempt to put him over his shoulder, jumping into the sewers if Lunatus didn't struggle.

It wasn't every day he'd get to say that he was dragged into the alleyway by his special friend, although thankfully the circumstances in this situation were in his favor. Perhaps it was the damage to his internal systems that were getting to him, but he couldn't help but smile at this situation. However, Lunatus would quickly learn that this was merely a safety precaution as he soon got the answers he wanted. While he couldn't fully comprehend the situation, especially the one with his cousin, he understood and accepted why he had to stay in this city. But, as much as he tried he didn't really want to leave him again. After losing him for two months, Lunatus truly realized how much their friendship meant to him. As dangerous as the circumstances were, he couldn't just sit on the sidelines anymore. B-bring me to her. Maybe I could talk to her, to let you go home at least... Your family misses you. I miss you. Please, just don't leave me again. While it was impossible to show the pain he felt in the message, the broken look on his face showed his pain. Surely, if they were just able to talk like they've done in those TV shows things would clear up. Hopefully, they would be able to.
Unable to do anything as Choco would take him out of the city, Lunatus focused some of his attention to his friend's missing arm. The android had a sense of what it was like not having an arm, especially when one of them malfunctioned and Mera would have to repair it. The lack of sense, the difficulty he had with simple tasks and just the sheer fact of not having a working arm wasn't fun. It must be hard only having one arm, is it? Maybe if you have time sometimes, you could come to my home. I could make you a new arm that works just as good as your old one. You won't even be able to tell the difference. Closing his eyes, Lunatus sighed. I just want to spend some more time with you.

IN SEARCH OF WHAT'S DEER
CHOCO'S PL: 27,801
Choco trudged on with the android on his shoulder, continuing to try and get to the end as quick as possible. Lunatus continued to try and get through to the man, the star demon slowing down as each few words came through. It was only until he came to a complete stop that he sighed and place Lunatus down, Choco sat down next to him and crossed his legs. He looked only towards the wall for a few moments then turned to his friend. "I'm...I'm really honest, there is no way I can come back yet. Or at least I can stay there. If you went to Chamil, she'd kill you on the spot just to get to me." He rubbed the back of his head. "I really want to join you, I do, if I had the choice I'd even be running to the exit right now with you...but I don't have that choice."
Choco would reach out his one hand, attempting to hold onto Lunatus's own hand tightly. "I have to be honest...if I could hang out with you everyday I would, even if I wasn't in this current situation and it was just a normal day every single day, I'd still wish for that. You make me really happy not like anyone else does. I do want to come back, I do want to get a new arm from you, Id want to do everything with you." As he continued to speak, his form slowly changed into that of his more human look. "It would be a dream come true just to even get to talk for a minute or two every day of the week." The man smiled before purposefully bumping the back of his head onto the wall.
It wasn't long before he was finally in his human state, gripping onto Lunatus's hand even tighter. "Just...I just can't right now. But it can happen someday, I swear." His grip continued to tighten, before softening up. Choco rubbed his eyes, letting go of the hand and standing up. "Listen...I'll come with you to get my arm back, but I can't stay...though I do have an idea." With minimal effort he pulled his close friend up on his feet and wrapped on arm around him, carrying him while continuing to walk once more. "There is one empty place, Orange Star. The teens who were affected by Chamil's magic already had their fun ruining the place before quickly getting bored, so it's the one safe place I can think of...if you ever need me, go there." Choco turned to Lunatus and stared at him right in the eyes, more serious than he ever has been before. "Got it?"

Unfamiliar emotions began to course through his mind. He wanted to spend more time with Choco, yeared to spend more time with him after the months he was missing. While Lunatus understood his thought was selfish, he simply couldn't help himself. Things were all taking a turn to the worse, and he just didn't want to let go of all the things that he was familiar with. He didn't want this 'Chamil' to take away the one person he held dear. I'll fight her. He said defiantly, although his emotions were probably lost in the telepathy. Of course, this was nothing more than a lie. There was no way he could face off against the beast that turned Satan City into... this. I'll fight her and take her back home. Then we can spend more time together.
His body began to vibrate, in a strange form of odd laughter which was marred by his broken voice box. Choco's words were comforting to the android, almost as if it was a lullaby trying to beckon him to sleep. However, Lunatus wasn't human and was beginning to shut down. His hand moved to the chest, touching the smooth synthetic skin that overlayed the machinery inside. He wasn't sure how long he could stay conscious. Hopefully, he could save this final memory at least... if it means this body would die at least he would still have a chance if his memory could be saved.
Choco. He began, closing his eyes, allowing only his distorted sense of hearing to take in the world. If I... can't be fixed. Take my CPU, inside my chest and keep it safe. As long as you have that, I still live on. I can be placed in a new body and rebuilt as long as you still have it. It was an unpleasant thought that he currently didn't want to think of, especially when he was in this condition and nearing complete shutdown but it was the truth, perhaps this was where this body would die...
...No. He couldn't. He had already promised to make Choco a new arm. Lunatus' eyes shot open once again despite every single program in his body telling him not to. However, he would continue forth. He was going to make Choco a new arm with this new body. Lunatus had made a promise to his friend and he intended to keep it to the very end.
