Saizomaru PL: 43,000 (Base)
The western continent was not a place that Saizomaru was comfortable of being in. The sun beat down upon the land beneath in a relentless wave of heat and humidity. The winds were considered nonexistent, not even the slightest of breeze to combat the tropical temperatures. The ground crumbled and shifted under the feet of wildlife, rendered into all but powder under heavy hooves and paws.
Had he had remained in a mortal, human body, he would have suffered throughout the journey here. It was one of those advantages, one of those times he expressed inward gratuity, that Saizomaru was given an android body. While the metal plates that covered his body shimmered and glistened under the sun's light and conducted so much of the heat, the artificial muscles and fibres underneath regulated his body's temperatures. Liquid nitrogen pumped through those fibres, acting as a form of water cooling for his mechanical construction.
"Siri, what's the temperature here?"
A beep sounded before a female voice responded, "It is currently thirty-four degrees Celsius, or ninety-three degrees Fahrenheit."
Saizomaru whistled. "Damn. I feel bad for anyone walking around in this weather."
But he, like many others, had a reason to be out in this unbearable heat wave.
He remembered some time ago when he had intercepted a message through his internal communications channel. The signal was weak, fuzzy and filled with static. He hadn't been able to make out much from it besides the sounds of explosions and crying voices, but none legible. The only thing he was able to gain from it was the co-ordinates of the transmission—co-ordinates that lead him to this area.
Carrying through the wilderness, the android found himself through the midst of a dense jungle. Stomping through the dry earth, clambering over the inclines and pushing his way through the low-hanging canopies of the trees and vines, he found himself in a clearing. The area around was sparse save for the tall grass and scattered pieces of stone. In the middle was a thick pole covered in ornate carvings and shapes. As Saizomaru looked up he found no sign of the top of it—it has pierced through the clouds beyond sight.
These were the co-ordinates though. But the android found nothing. Not even the slightest signs of a commotion. If there had been a battle here, then there would have been at least some form of destruction to the landscape.
Unless it happened above.
With a hum, the android ignited the propulsors of his boots, sending out a jet of plasma that scorched the grass and earth beneath him. Like a missile he bolted upwards at a great velocity. The repeated decorations of the pole passed him by again and again as he soared alongside it. There had to be a top to this.
Piercing through the clouds, Saizomaru finally found the very top of this tower. The expanse was huge, showing signs of nothing besides a single building and a few decorative palm trees. Slowly he drifted towards it, then touched down on the marble-like tiles.
He looked around. This was definitely the area of a post-battleground. Pieces had been destroyed, but there was no rubble to talk about. Someone must have been here prior to do some cleanup.
"Hello!" cried out the android expecting a response. There was none. "Anyone here? I've got cookies!"
