Saizomaru PL: 43,000 (Base)
It was a nice and cool day today. A moderate breeze rolled through the streets of West City, bowling its ways down the streets and alleyways of the concrete jungle. The clouds, think and fluffy, blotted out the sun save for a few strands of light shafts that made their way piercing the veil. It was the first time in the last fortnight that there wasn't the oppressing heat wave. Saizomaru thanked whatever God there was for it.
The town square was active with some sort of festival going on. It had been some time since Saizomaru had been here, so whatever this was all about was new to him. Several tents and stalls were opened up for the general public to visit and peruse through, offering a wide variety of activities and games like that of a carnival, for children and adults alike. One of the stages on the far end had a dozen dancers dressed in all different outfits, performing different routines that was part of their culture. Opposite them on the other end of the town square were a whole bunch of aspiring martial artists giving a live demonstration of their skill, complete was katas and kumites. There was even a parade going through the center of it all, filled with musicians, mascots and floats.
But something in particular caught the android's eye—a large, thirty-foot truck that acted as a dessert parlour on wheels. It had been years since Saizomaru had anything sweet to eat. The thought of a soft-scoop vanilla cone made his body tremble.
A large crowd was gathered in front of it, mostly parents with their kids or couples coming out to enjoy the shows, but with how long the truck was there wasn't any lines to be waiting in. Making his way over to the counter, blue eyes scanned the selection of confections that were advertised on the mounted electronic menus above.
"Hello there, sir," responded a female voice from over the counter. The girl was young, probably no older than her early twenties. Her brown hair was hung low down to the small of her back, with a few strands over her shoulders, almost like Saizomaru's. The girl had a baby-blue uniform with a white apron that covered her front. She smiled as Saizomaru's eyes lowered to meet hers. "What can I get for you today?"
He smiled back at her. "Hey there," he reciprocated the greeting. "Can I get a double cone of vanilla with a flake? Oh, and strawberry sauce too, please."
"Certainly sir. That'll be five hundred zenni."
Saizomaru paid for his order and stood with an arm resting on the counter, turning to his side so he could watch the martial arts demonstration nearby. He smirked and scoffed. "Buncha amateurs," he muttered under his breath.
It didn't take long for his order to arrive. He thanked the girl as he grabbed his ice cream, then made his way to one of the nearby benches to watch all the entertainment around him.
