It has been a long time waiting for this. Mollusc had been waiting to come back to his home. It was a great planet. It was an alive planet. He had not seen any namek but there was a ton of water and it was, in general, a very beautiful place. There was one place he was heading to right away. He wanted to see Porunga. He had found it after a short period of time flying around the planet. The Shrine of Porunga. He could see a ton of streams nearby of pure water yet no Porunga. He did find a statue though of what he assumed was Porunga. He grabbed his notebook had been writing. He'd look at the picture of what he thought Porunga looked like. He seemed to have done a bad job. He sighed before sitting down in front of the statue.
He was looking for answers. He had great faith in Porunga. He had guided him to where he was now. Yet, he wanted to meet him. He wanted to know for certian Porunga existed. He could only be summoned by the dragonballs to his knowledge. Yet, he was at his shrine. Maybe this was a place he could be summoned. He'd grab a candle lighting it up. He'd lit up 4 of these Candles putting them around him. He heard in other cultures they did this. Maybe this would help him hear him. Get him in more syn with the world around him. "Oh, great Porunga. I wish to hear your voice and do what you ask. I am lost. As a Faithful servant, I only ask for what I shall do. What path must I tread to make your will a reality? Please if you're out there give me a sign oh great Porunga." He called out waiting for something to happen.

As Mollusc called to Porunga, the sky seemed to crackle as a streak of fire plummeted through Namek's atmosphere. Coming in at a startling speed, it looked almost as some sort of infernal fireball was about to collide with the planet -- and close to where Mollusc was standing, at that. In moments, the fireball collided with the ground, causing the earth to quake as a large crater was opened just a short distance from Porunga's shrine: mercifully, and perhaps luckily missing the shrine proper and the sacred streams that ran around it. Closer inspection would reveal that the fireball was, in fact, a space pod.
As the ship opened, a redheaded warrior in battle-armour over a blue martial arts gi stepped out. A far cry from the impressive entrances made by Saiyan warriors of old, this Earthling-among-Saiyans staggered out of her pod with a nauseated face. If it was possible to be sea-sick in space, she looked dangerously close. The landing probably didn't help either. Dazed and confused, she stumbled forward and climbed out of the crater, falling onto her knees to catch her breath.
"Those things -- are supposed -- to be comfortable," she gasped between breaths. She crawled over towards one of the streams, taking a desperate gulp of water, unknowing of the symbolic nature of the gesture. With a gasp of relief, she fell back into a seated position and began to fix her usual ponytail up to make herself more presentable. When she felt ready, she pushed herself all the way up to her feet and took a long look around. She reached out, sensing the planet for its various power signatures.
"... The people here definitely aren't like humans," she mumbled under her breath, managing to miss the signature of a familiar Namekian right close-by.
Is it an omen? Are the end times here?
No, it's just Ramen. Talk about a losing lottery ticket.

The time had come, the paths had been open, and it was as if the outsiders had been waiting and watching carefully. Almost exactly a day after the asteroids completely cleared for safe travel were ships already showing up. So far things had been fairly quiet and not many had come, but the ones that had seemed to head straight for the most precious of sites on Planet Namek, and while it wasn't a direct issue it did worry the elder of Maxil's village. Maxil decided to keep his head down and not directly interact with any of the outsiders unless they directly interacted with him or caused any troubles, though the elder saw to change that immediately, coming to him in the middle of his training. "My apologies for interrupting your training, but we have a slight concern about a stranger we've been tracking from their space craft, and now headed towards the Porunga Shrine. This one appears to be a Namekian."
He was far from done training for the day, and the last thing he wanted was to deal with any of this, but when the Elder asked for such a thing you didn't argue. "I'll go take a look right away." stretching a bit and picking up his clothes, dropping them off at his home before heading with haste towards the shrine. His village was the closest to it and the warriors were protectors of the shrine, though Maxil specifically was a special case given his studies and training and only sent there when needed. Maxil couldn't hide his power as he showed up, but he could at least try and walk up without fully announcing himself right away, but walking up he couldn't instantly sense the powers of those around, and was impressed by the energy coming from the Namekian.
This was in fact a stranger to their planet as the energy wasn't familiar at all, but to his surprise the Namekian seemed very respectful of the shrine as if he were specifically looking for it, but how would he even know of it. From behind the Namekian who was calling for Porunga, Maxil called out. "Why have you come seeking the great Porunga?" His thoughts were quickly pulled away with his attention as a ship came flying towards where the other Namekian stood, missing the shrine, but landing close enough to sacred grounds that it was a very clear issue. "What in the name of Porunga?!" Maxil screamed out, completely ignoring the Namekian and walking slowly towards the human "How dare you crash your ship in this sacred space." Staring daggers at Ramen.

Just he felt that Porunga was going to call him he heard something crash nearby. He opened his eyes. He grunted with annoyance. He made sure to get rid of the flames of the candles. He had to be careful not to burn anything. A simple ember could turn into a blazing inferno if one was not careful. He'd rather not hurt the place of his home. He'd stand up turning to look at who had done this. Course it happened to be someone he knew. Course it had to be Ramen. She seemed to be drinking from the stream. "You know that pretty sacred most likely anyway." He'd call out but a course that didn't matter much. Then he heard a voice calling out why did he seek the Great Porunga. He turned back. Had Porunga spoken to him? He had never heard speak in such a manner. It was much less, obvious. "Did you hear that?" He'd ask Ramen.
Course there was a new arrival. He seemed to be a warrior of the sort and he didn't seem happy. It made sense, Ramen did just crash a pod into a sacred land of Namek. As Maxil walked over to Ramen he'd walk over blocking the way. Course he knew Ramen could defend herself. He'd rather not start a fight yet. They had returned to his homeworld and his people. He had grown close to Ramen. He was willing to stick his neck out a little bit. "These pods these outsider use. They don't have good control. She was lucky she didn't die on impact. This was clearly an accident. No point in causing problems. He'd look back at Ramen with an annoyed look. Hopefully, she would get her barrings soon. It was not that hard to drive a pod. Hopefully, she had something to say. He didn't think it'd be a good idea to make themselves enemies in the first hour of being here.

Ramen blinked in surprise when she heard Mollusc's voice, glancing back over her shoulder. Of all the places she could have landed, it was right next to a friendly face. Mostly friendly, at least... as far as she could tell. She rubbed the back of her neck before shrugging sheepishly. "Oh, uh. I kind of figured it was just water. I'm not really used to space travel, so it was a little bit of a shock..." she looked over to the other approaching Namekian, blearily. He seemed to be even less pleased with her arrival than Mollusc. His tone prompted Ramen to straighten, her natural inclination being to shoot back at him. But, she was here for a reason...
"... It wasn't on purpose," she explained, biting back the more incendiary retort she might have ordinarily made. "This was my first time trying to leave my home planet, and the controls on the pod weren't configured correctly. My coordinates were supposed to send me--" she pointed off to one side. "Like, to the other side of the planet. It might have to do with the date and time settings for Namek or something..." she shook her head. "Anyways, if I had anything to say about it, I would've landed in the North, where it's empty and full of craters."
She turned around to return to her pod, stepping into the crater long enough to shove the door shut with her foot. "--Besides, I can probably fill this back in if you give me a few hours!"

When the Namekian stepped in front of him he couldn't help but lean over and glare at the human, drinking from a stream and raising their arms in disgust. "You've come to our planet and almost crash into our most sacred shrine." Looking back to Mollusc "And you a Namekian should be more bothered by this." staring confused at Mollusc, backing up some to see both of them better. It was hard to make Maxil lose his temper, and yet almost immediately he was having trouble keeping it. His village was tasked with protecting the shrine, and in a single moment it was almost destroyed by an outsider. Sighing and turning away from them both to try and calm down, he looked over the shrine, then back and the ship that sat crashed far too close for comfort. "This is exactly why we didn't want outsiders here for so long. You only bring destruction."
That wasn't completely true as far as keeping people away, but it was far from a lie in the eyes of the Namekian people. "Wasn't on purpose..." again he sighed heavily, finding it hard to keep calm despite trying to keep his cool. The more the human talked the more he was finding himself losing his temper more, and they were either clueless to the situation or choosing to be obtuse about it for some reason. "Fill it back in? I'm not sure you understand where you are standing. This isn't a field, this is a sacred land holding the shrine of the great dragon Porunga." Again he looked to Mollusc. "Are you with this one? You seem to know each other. What business do you two have here? You have both conveniently showed up right when travel was once again allowed." He stopped for a moment and once again looked to the shrine. The first thought that popped into his mind was they had to have heard of the dragon balls somehow, but he couldn't bring himself to openly ask, just in case they didn't know and it was an issue best left alone.

Ramen was not helping herself. He turned back around looking at Maxil. He didn't see happy. "I am very angry." He said monotone. "I just want to contain my anger. Porunga has not commanded me to harm Ramen here and she has proven time and time again to be a good friend to the namekian people." Mollusc said keeping up his stare down with Maxil. He didn't know what he'd do nor did he know what he'd do. He was pretty mad at Ramen but he sorta knew it was not her fault. She'd not do that on purpose, right? Still, the man seemed pretty mad. He made it clear they didn't want outsiders. Ramen made it clear she didn't mean to land here so while she did bring damages once again not fully her fault.
He explained this was the sacred land of Porunga. "I'm sure Porunga will understand that Ramen did not mean to cause this harm to his shrine." Mollusc turning bowing to the statue. He hoped Porunga would understand. Ramen had earned his trust. He was a champion of Porunga maybe this would be allowed to past. He'd then turned back to focus on Maxil. He wanted to know why they came. "Earth is looking to gain its own set of dragonballs. As a Namekian I thought I'd come with Ramen here to see if the Guru could see if we can prove our worth. So he knows that the people who want to learn of the mystic power to call on Porunga are people that can be trusted. I hope that will suffice." He bowed in respect to Maxil and he hoped Ramen would follow suit to show their reasons to be here were not malice.

"Yeah, the thing about a 'crash landing' is that it's not intentional," Ramen replied, her irritation bubbling dangerously close to the surface before she cooled herself off with a sharp sigh. "Yes, I can fill it back in. I understand from what you've said that this is some sort of sacred land, but isn't Namek an agricultural planet? I read as much as I could on the way here--" she gestured to the area around them. "I might not have any special significance, but the sacred can come in many forms. I would like to think that Porunga would accept a foreigner attempting to undo their damage as a form of penance. It would have been better if I could have landed a few kilometres away, but it's better than just leaving a crater here."
She shook her head after a moment, glancing over to Mollusc as he spoke. She nodded in agreement with his comments. "I don't know much about these Dragon Balls, but if the rumours about them are true, restoring those that existed on Earth could be an important step to ensuring its protection. We met with a young Doragon who wanted to do just that not too long ago," she gestured between herself and Mollusc. "But so far as I can tell, there are a lot of dead ends when it comes to researching that thing."
"... Anyways, I apologize again for the way I landed. But I'm not here to mess things up for anyone, so if there's anything I or any of my companions can do to prove ourselves friends to Namek, we will."

The Namekian in front of him was clearly being defensive of what he assumed was at least an acquaintance, which was understandable, but it was albeit unneeded. Maxil was angry, there was no hiding that fact, but he wasn't simply going to launch into a violent outburst over what was most likely an accident. It was clear however that this Namekian understood his frustration but it was odd the way they talked as if they had some intimate relationship with Porunga to assume who or what would be forgiven, which more than anything confused Maxil.
His attention was still solid on the human, not because he was trying to ignore the Namekian, but because it was clear his intent to come and pray, the human however he wasn't too sure. Grabbing the bridge of his nose with a heavy sigh, he shook his head at the Human's comment, trying his best to relax. "I realize and appreciate you have good intentions and this was an accident. I would simply ask that going forward, you be more aware of your surroundings. I would also ask you not make any attempts to repair or in any way alter the surrounding area...please. There are people from my village nearby with the sole purpose to maintain this shrine and the surrounding sacred land around it."
He was starting to calm down now to his more normal demeanor, not often letting frustration show as he did. It was all a bit much with strangers showing up, the anticipation of newcomers in general, his training being so abruptly interrupted, and the desecration even if unintentional of the area was all a bit overwhelming in the moment. His attention was almost pulled towards the Namekian and Maxil narrowed his eyes some, not entirely sure how to respond, but went for the direct approach. "I see, dragon balls of course. Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news given your reason for coming, but we are currently without a Guru I'm afraid. There are few candidates, but as I'm sure you are aware without a Guru there are no dragon balls, at least not active." It would make sense that the first people to show up in years would be looking for information on the dragon balls, but there wasn't much directly Maxil could do to help them with it.
Once more he looked to the human that the Namekian chose to stand in front of still, raising a brow. "As I said to your friend here, we currently have no Guru, and those that have knowledge of the dragon balls might not be so willing to share it with outsiders. Protecting your planet is another matter entirely, and one I'm sure we can all relate to on different levels." What could he say to these two about the dragon balls, and what did they truly know. "What exactly is it you are trying to protect your planet from specifically? I'm sure you are aware given your timing on coming, that our planet has been shut off from the outside for some time." Slowly Maxiel walked to the shrine Mollusc had been praying at not long before and placed a hand on top of it for a few quiet moments, turning back to the two. "We haven't had outsiders in a long time, so I don't have an answer when it comes to building trust, as I assume many here will be wary. I think it also depends on if you are simply looking for information or something more specific."

Mollusc keeps his stare at Maxil but he seemed to sigh as he seemed to be trying to relax but he was not sure. He asked Ramen to be more aware of what was around them. That seemed fair enough. With the danger of the situation slowly rid of he relaxed his shoulders and arms. Seems he was reasonable. That was a decent start for his first visit to his true homeland. He explained that someone would repair the lands which were good as well. At least it'd not be permanently damaged by this crash. He felt quite calm. Seemed Porunga had forgiven them. Course now there was the bad news. The Namekian explained that there was no Guru of Namek. No one had the powers to grant them the ability to create dragonballs. "I see." He frowned. It was a shame but hopefully, they would have the knowledge to help them. That would be a good first step.
Then Maxil explained more bad news in a sense. It was not as easy as asking to get the knowledge that the namekian may hold. They were outsiders. They needed to prove themselves it seemed. That would not be too bad. There had to be something to do around here. He began to ask about what they were protecting their planet from. He'd look over at Maxil as he asked the question. "Vegeta was taken over. The home of the namekian their and the saiyans were forced to flee to planet Earth. The Aroscian Empire has been making strides. It is possible that if they are able to take over the earth they will head to namek next. We wish to use the dragonballs to give us the edge in some way. Perhaps bring warriors back who can help defeat them. Though I think Ramen knows more about that then I do." He'd point at Ramen to explain.

"There's a debate to be had over how close certain groups in their, uh -- 'Fleet' -- actually are to one another, but they also seem to have made some gains on Earth too," Ramen spoke when indicated by Mollusc. "One of our most important cities was conquered around a month, month-and-a-half ago, so the situation might be on the urgent side for all involved." She hesitated on the subject of the use of the Dragon Balls themselves. Not only did she have to worry about offending the Namekian given the seemingly sacred nature of the artifacts, but she also suspected there would be a little more disagreement in the ranks over the actual wording of any wish than King Vocado might admit himself.
"It's hard to say what exactly leadership would choose to use the Dragon Balls on Earth for, should we succeed in reactivating them. But I would have to guess they would either want to resurrect our fallen defenders to fight the Arcosians again, or else wish for some means to protect the planet and eventually strike back against them. I'd like to think everyone that died has earned a wish back, but at this point in time we may have to actually make sure they have something to come back to in a year's time..." she frowned for a moment, turning her attention back to the shrine. As familiar as the trappings around it were to similar places of worship on Earth, it was a rather poignant reminder that this place was foreign -- and their fight really didn't belong to the people here. To that end, she took a breath before adding, "I won't ask you to lend warriors to our cause or anything as far as that. But if we can earn your people's trust enough for those that do know, wherever they might be, to help us with a pointer or two..."
"... well, that's why we're here."

Maxil had seemed to disappear never to be seen agian. It was a real shame. He'd look at Ramen as she explained what they should do with the dragonballs. Mollusc hand went onto his chin. He wondered if this was what he was meant to do. "I don't know. I should ask Porunga. He'd know." Then he'd turn to look around. A vunerable look filled Mollusc face. Ramen was the closest thing he had to a true friend. Nashua was close too but he did try to kill her twice. Once without good reason and the second time when she became a giant ozzaru. He'd look at the statue of Porunga a frown on his face. How would he know?
"You said something before Ramen. When we fought in the toury. What if Porunga is not real. I mean, yes he is real in the sense we can soummon him and he will grant wishes to his people to help them but...I don't know if he chose me. I believed so but that was a different time in my life. I was weak and had no direction. I tried to be a mystic but I have no talent for Magic. I had no talent for fighting either. I never won a fight when i started being a warrior on namek. I remember strolling across the fields of Vegeta, the broke mountains and hearing that voice. Saying something about the saiyans. That was all I heard. I knew it meant to save the saiyans. Yet since then, the messages had been harder to come back. Now every little thing could be a message and I don't know. I'm going back and forth trying to figure everything out. Trying to get stronger to serve Porunga." Mollusc paused looking back at Ramen. "I don't know Ramen. Was I wrong?" He'd look back at the statue staring at it. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I thought I did but I don't." He'd close his eyes just trying to think after saying all this. His back sagged a bit. He wondered what Ramen would have to say.

Ramen couldn't help but be taken by surprise by Mollusc's moment of vulnerability. He had always seemed to be among the most stoic of her acquaintances, but now that he was starting to open up over his doubts he seemed strangely... human. She offered a quiet nod of her head to signal she was listening, keeping her gaze focused on him. Her usual boisterousness wore off almost immediately at his words, her features softening considerably. She had never asked why he joined the Saiyan Kingdom to begin with, but now it made sense: she had always just assumed he was from a migrant family to Vegeta.
"If we can summon Porunga, then finding the answer to your question is within reach. Collecting the Dragon Balls sounds like it could be a momentous task, but if it's something that could help... bring clarity to your life, then it's something you should undertake." She paused a moment, glancing over towards the statue itself. In truth, she had never really put much stock in Mollusc's beliefs around the dragon. As much as she liked the Namekian, her own experiences with spirituality had always been centered inward. More philosophy and practice than faith itself. It wasn't an impulse she understood, but she could at least sympathize with the feeling it was leaving behind.
"Maybe you are Porunga's chosen," she spoke again, turning her gaze back to the Namekian. "Maybe you're not. But whatever the answer to that dilemma is, it doesn't need to change your purpose. While you search for that answer, whether its through the Dragon Balls themselves or through meditation, maybe you should think about... your thinking, if that makes sense. You committed yourself to Porunga in a way few people ever commit to anything. If it was alright to do that when you thought he had chosen you, then surely you can stay committed to that?"
She leaned her head to the side, hesitating as she struggled to word her own statement. "...er, what I mean is. You may or may not be Porunga's chosen, and that's something you should try to find out. But you can still dedicate yourself to the idea of Porunga, whatever that idea means to you. Whether it's saving the Saiyans, saving the Namekians, or just... continuing down your path of self-perfection on the battlefield. Whatever he embodies to you."

Ramen made a good point that if they summoned Porunga they'd be able to find the answer. Finding the Dragonballs could bring him the clarity to his life. Give him his purpose. That sense of direction he desired. He'd nod looking at the statue. Ramen told him that he could be the chosen but also he could not be. Did it really matter? He was still him. He just needed a purpose. He didn't need to be chosen to be committed to the cause of Porunga. He didn't need to be someone that was born with a special place in the world. Mollusc stared at the statue. One day he'd know for sure. IT was not worth worrying over. If he was chosen or just a servant of Porunga it didn't matter. He was still Mollusc.
"I see. Your words of wisdom are profound Ramen." He'd say as he'd look at the statue as he grabbed the candles he been using before. He'd light them up putting them around him. The flames let off a little smoke that rose around him as he sat. "I heard on Earth they use candles for prayer to ask for something. To hope there are gifted insights or to be forgiven for sin. I don't know if it will do anything but this may help." Mollusc said as he began to meditate. He may have heard nothing or something but he knew Porunga would be watching. That brought him comfort as he sat and waited. Waiting to see if there was an answer or silence.

Ramen stood by while Mollusc prayed, allowing him a long moment of silence for his prayer. She had never used candles like that, and she had already made it clear that she wasn't one for his particular brand of faith. But still, she might know a thing or two about that very search for guidance, even if her answers had come from herself and not from some outside voice. She dipped her head in a respectful bow towards the shrine, showing respect to the Namekian dragon more out of a desire to do well by Mollusc than any sentiment towards the would-be deity.
"Another thing you can do," she spoke softly, so as not to startle the silent Mollusc. "Is meditate under harsh conditions. I know that finding answers and finding power are two different things, but when I was desperate I went into the ocean and formed a shield of air around myself to hold the water back, all the while meditating. The strain it took to hold the water from collapsing in on me kept my mind grounded firmly in the moment, and it let me discover something about myself and unlock something that had been hidden to me. Maybe in that sort of situation, you'll find something out about yourself..?"
