Old enough to know of war but not old enough to have witnessed it; Maxil was sent to train alone at a young age during the only peace Namek had known for years ever since closing off the planet to outsiders. the older generation of Namekian still tended to their farms and villages, but the younger generation in his village had been trained extensively in the ways of the caste they were born into. The vast majority of his village, while not very large, were of the warrior class, meaning the teachers were plentiful to teach the young generations proper fighting techniques. At times he trained alongside some of the Dragon caste as there were far fewer of them skilled enough in their mystic powers to be of use for healing purposes in most cases.
Every Namekian knew that eventually outsiders would return, but not quite as soon as it happened when the asteroids began to clear away. Before the asteroids completely cleared, some of the Namekians fled the planet in search of power, glory, or fleeing from a threat that might never comes. Maxil didn't have the means to leave even if he wished it, but with so many of the village warriors scattered around the planet and some out right leaving, he was left to protect his people and stand proudly among the other Namekians. He would soon learn just how sheltered he had been through most of his life, knowing very little of other cultures aside from his studies, and having spent the vast majority of his life training.
