The cold rugged wasteland that was this place did make sense for a Saiyan Base, the warrior people would make fine homes in this type of climate.
Once he got to the location however, he found absolutely nothing..well nothing that he could see that is, it could be a secret so the thought of calling out is out the window, it would bring up another danger, the damned Fleet.
They had a presence practically everywhere, it's even incredible they've managed to keep hidden from those scumbags so long, guess they know what they are doing. In any case, should he try and find it? Could take hours but if he's lucky enough, a quick search wouldn't be so bad, and it was basically his only option.
He made sure to look around, attempting to spot anything out the ordinary as the wind battered against his cloak and had it flutter violently, producing the small sounds of the cold air bashing against the fabric of the cloak, this place felt like home already.
He wasn't finding anything that looked too extraordinary but hey that only gives him confidence if a Fleet member was in his boots, they wouldn't find anything. He kept searching, he would find it one way or another and maybe take a few pauses to enjoy the climate.

AUBER - "DO I GO LEFT WHERE NOTHING IS RIGHT? OR RIGHT WHERE NOTHING IS LEFT?"
Today was just another day of jobs for Cress. Cutting down trees was his job for today, a job that he got better at everyday. It was a good way to practice his precision, speed, and agility. Ki surrounding his arm in the form of a sharp blade, his blade sliced through the base of each tree like a hot knife through butter. The person that usually hired him to do this stuff no longer was shocked by his abilities, but impressed. Seeing him do that all the time got him accustomed to it.
After having cut down a bunch of trees, he’d load them onto the guys truck one by one. At the end of his job, he’d receive a thanks and his payment. The short time that he completed the job’s in benefited both him and the man. Unfortunately, Cress wouldn’t be sticking around too long, but he suggested to the man that incase he ever up and disappeared to higher another ki user. They wouldn’t get it done as fast as him, but it was still something.
Soon after receiving his pay, he waved and sped away from the scene…
Making his way through the Rugged North of foot, he often found himself jumping from place to place because of the uneven terrain. On his journey back to base, he happened to spot a cloaked figure walking around. The saiyan paused, kneeling while watching the guy. He appeared to be looking for something…
Could be a fleet soldier, an ally, or just some lost guy.
If it was a fleet soldier, he could just kick their ass, so he decided to pay the guy a visit. In a burst of speed, Cress zipped over to the cloaked figures location, stopping within appropriate talking distance of them.
Cress took a good look at their face. A fellow saiyan… “Yo! Need help?” he asked.

Already he could sense the Ki of someone approaching and it was huge, guess he found someone or rather someone found him.
He replied with "Hey there, maybe you can help me. Where is the base of the Saiyan Kingdom? Oh and before you ask." He pulled over a piece of his cloak to the side, revealing his emblem and armour from the Saiyan Kingdom, he then let the cloak piece fall to where it was before.
He wasn't sure that would 100% convince him he was a part of their cause considering any fleet spy can just dress up and do the same thing he did but hopefully this one wasn't that paranoid, although that may have been wishful thinking, when you're being hunted across the cosmos, being paranoid is a huge understatement.
He would just see what would happen and what this comrade Saiyan's reaction would be.
AUBER - "DO I GO LEFT WHERE NOTHING IS RIGHT? OR RIGHT WHERE NOTHING IS LEFT?"
Cress’ question would be quickly responded to by the newcomer, who wanted to know the location of the base. Just as he was about to question him, revealing his armor for a short time before covering it once more. The newcomer would earn a nod. “Not very much proof that your allegiance lies with the Kingdom, but it’ll do.” he stated.
Taking a few steps in the direction of the base, he’d call for the guy. “The base is this way. I’ll show you the way, I was just heading back after doing a job.”
From there, Cress would begin to jump dash and jump across the uneven terrain back in the direction of the base. He restricted his incredible speed so the guy would be able to keep up. Eventually, he would make it to the hole which led to the double blast doors that shielded the base from invaders and the elements. “Here we are.”
Approaching the door, he decided to ask the saiyan a question. “What’s your name, soldier?”
While waiting for a response, he’d input the code for the door, which resulted in the doors spreading and revealing the interior of the base. The opening was wide enough to let the two through, which it was programmed to do. Assuming Auber would follow behind, Cress would walk through the gap and close the door behind him. “This is the only major saiyan base on Earth as far as I know.” he informed Auber.

As he thought, a simple show of emblem wasn't enough but luckily our friend was feeling a little generous, Auber would dash across the terrain, following closely behind Cress "What kind of job?" He asked, might be useful to learn about his line of work.
As they arrived at the base, Auber felt a sensation akin to reuniting with a family member or something like that, all these years trapped in that place, hunted down every second and having no view of the outside was even more torment than Hell itself he would presume.
"Auber. You?" He responded and then asked for his name, they walked a bit and then Cress confirmed that this is the place he was searching for "I see." Auber merely replied, it does raise the question if any more bases were made elsewhere besides here, the thought is unlikely but possible.
Cress didn’t hesitate to tell Auber what he did. “I do many jobs, some have combat involved and some don't. The one I was just doing was tree cutting. It’s easy money due to how quick I can cut down a large amount of trees.”
After that, they arrived at the base, where Auber told him his name. “The name’s Cress, nice to meet you Auber.” he stated with a grin. Soon after, he informed Auber of his knowledge, earning a simple response from him.
“All right, Auber, I guess I have to show you around.” he stated. Walking down the hall, he waved for Auber to follow him. He’d show Auber the Cafeteria, Barracks, Training Room, War Room, and Throne Room. He left out the kitchen and surveillance room as there wasn’t a need to show him that.
After he’d shown him around, he’d ask questions. “I have a two questions. What have you been doing since the invasion? It took you an awful long time to get here, and how strong are you?”
He was actually expecting something more combat-type of job but guess wood is still a requirement, either that or it's some light form of training.
The saiyan presented himself as Cress, much better name than he has. He also seemed polite, not that it's unwelcome but he did expect a more blunt approach, especially from a saiyan, he didn't know if this was the cause of the Kingdom going soft or that it was simply in this guy's personality.
Cress stated he would show Auber around and so he nodded and followed him, taking in the rooms and memorizing them for future navigation, the Cafeteria, a good place to relax, the Barracks, where he would be sleeping most likely, of course like many barracks, it sacrificed quality for quantity, afterwards came the Training Room, this was a location he could see himself in often, this was his ticket to get on his fellow soldiers' levels, next up was the War Room, probably where they strategically planned and took courses of action, and then came the Throne Room, of course there needs to be a room for his majesty itself.
Cress took it upon himself to ask two questions for Auber to which he'd reply with pride in the first question but shame in the second question "I have been surviving on Vegeta since the age of 16, roaming the wastelands and evading the Fleet at every chance I got, this has lead to less time for training so I'm pretty weak compared to even your weakest soldier I dare assume. Spiritually and mentally, I'm hardened and toughened but I will of course train my body to accommodate." He created a bit of a speech. He honestly had no idea how Cress would react but if he would assume, probably a laughter at his weakness and/or shock, either way not a very good confidence boost.
Auber didn't hesitate to respond to his questions, giving him the whole run down on what he'd been doing. Cress nodded, an interesting story for sure. Staying out of the fleet's reach while surviving in the wastelands would shape any weak-willed person into a hardened soldier. He didn't believe the assumption that he was weaker than the weakest soldiers if he managed to survive for as long as he did. You're average saiyan wasn't above the 3,000 Battle Power mark after all, and surviving that long on an occupied planet was training in of itself.
"You're just underestimating yourself." he responded with his arms crossed. "I may not be able to sense energy, but I can tell you're able to hit harder than your average soldier."
Planning on checking the newcomers strength, he let his left arm drop to his side and extended his right, turning his his hand upward at a ninety degree angle. "Show me what you've got. Punch my hand as hard as you can, and that should give me a good estimate." He wasn't expecting very much out of Auber, but he did expect him to be stronger than your average saiyan.
Well, well, well, he actually wasn't a total douchebag about it, although he was never one to judge, the saiyans even after their changes were still proud warriors at heart so he expected a much more brutal response but hey guess he should stop expecting what he assumes and instead expect the unexpected.
He did as told and raised a hand, clenched into a fist and hit Cress' palm with it, in that single split second before it connected, he reflected on his history on that god-forsaken planet and how every second could of meant his death, all that fury for the bastards that did the things they did, they took his mother away and vengeance doesn't rest.
All that rage concentrated into this one punch that connected before Cress' very hand, he pulled back afterwards, regaining his emotional composure and crossing his arms, resting on his armoured pectorals. He was disappointed in himself but soon replaced his disappointment with ambition, after this conversation was over it was straight to the training room.
He looked over at Cress for his reaction, and awaited his input.
Cress' gaze remained ever so strong as Auber drew his fist before propelling it forward with seemingly all his might, letting it strike his palm. Already having braced for impact, the punch barely even made his hand tingle. From that single punch, he determined that Auber was indeed stronger than the average soldier, but no where near his level.
As Auber pulled his arm back he did the same before crossing his right and his left once more. His attitude remaining ever so serious, he'd share his findings with Auber. "Just like I assumed, you're stronger than the average foot soldier. Probably two or three times more so. Turns out you're somewhat around the same strength Kalabas was when he popped up."
He gave Auber a few seconds to respond while thinking about his next action before thinking that he needed somewhere to sleep. "If you're gonna stay around here, you'll need a bed unless you want to be sleeping on the floor." he stated while turning around. "Follow me." he instructed Auber. He proceeded down the hall until they reached the entrance to the Barracks. Pressing the button at the side of the door caused the door to slide open, revealing another hall with doors all along it.
"Find a room with a bed in it that no one's claimed."
If Auber did what he instructed, he would wait at the door while Auber found a suitable spot.
Seemed as if Cress made his mind up, Auber didn't care how he reacted but he would at least use his input for reference while training.
"I'm assuming Kalabas is another one that recently joined?" He asked, raising an eyebrow before following Cress into the barracks that revealed a long two-block hall stacked with doors at the walls on the left and right, Auber studied the Hall before looking at each Individual door, opening them to see if it was empty. By that, he just closed the door if he saw any personal equipment and he had Ki Sense active so he could sense if someone was in their quarters as he checks, giving the signal to just walk by.
He eventually found a room to settle himself in and dropped his entire equipment he had been carrying in his pockets below his armour and sitting on the bed, sighing. Finally a chance to relax after all the danger and strife he started at back on his home planet.
He sat up and walked back to Cress, feeling a lot lighter than he was before thanks to a metric ton of weight accompanying him before "All right, what's next?" He asked with his emotionless and stoic expression as ever, continually keeping a cold gaze.
"Yes, he is." he simply responded to Auber's question.
Following that, they made their trip to the training room, where Cress waited at the entrance for Auber to pick out a room. After a few seconds, he saw Auber walk into a room longer than he did the others, meaning that he'd found an unclaimed one. It wouldn't be much longer until he came back to him. The two's eyes met as Auber approached him, not saying a word until he was in decent range of him.
"Training. Since I came across you, I'm going to be toughening you up just like I did Kalabas." he responded. "We're headed to the training room, follow me." Turning around, he'd press the button at the side of the door, letting it slide open before he walked into the hallway. The base wasn't very big, so their walks weren't that lengthy. Everything was in close proximity. Coming up on the training room door, he opened the door and entered, hopefully with Auber.
"Alright. Are you able to have your tail squeezed without going limp yet?" he asked. Auber's response would determine what they'd be working on for now.
Finally, a simplified and blunt answer, the manners and kindness weren't unwelcome but he preferred old habits. Apparently Kalabas is another saiyan here, seems as if he joined recently as well.
Afterwards however, Cress also said another exciting thing, Training, he needed to get stronger, that was a necessity as necessary as food or water, he must get stronger if he is to prove any value to the kingdom and take back their homes from the changelings. He followed Cress into the training room and looked around, getting a feel for the room because he was gonna be here a lot. He also noticed how the base wasn't very big, he couldn't really blame the makers after all they are in hiding of the WTF so making everything fancy was out of the question, on the bright side, this lead to shorter walks and therefore less energy wasted.
Cress asked Auber a question that dumbstruck him really, can he squeeze his tail without getting weak and fragile? That was possible "Unfortunately, no." He shook his head with a disappointed tone but inside he was curious, if that was possible, then it would be very useful indeed.
Just as he expected, Auber wasn't able to have his tail squeezed without being down for the count. Looks like he'd have to change that. "Well, it's going to be very challenging to learn how not to. It's going to take a lot of willpower to be able to move until you get used to it." he informed Auber. Cress put a hold on their conversation for a few seconds as he stepped into the designated training area.
"Let's get to it then. I need to get you as strong as possible as quick as possible." he stated as he turned back around to face Auber. Today would mark the beginning of his training with Cress. With Cress training him, he was sure to have a bright future, where victories were plenty.
Exiting Thread, they'll be training off-screen.

"Well you know what they say, no pain, no gain." He responded to Cress's preview of the training, he didn't even think it was possible to not feel weak after someone gets a hold of the tail, discovering this information is most fascinating and very useful indeed.
Cress was finally going to begin his training right here, right now. They were going to pay one way or another, they may rest easy on this very second but unlike them...
