A PINCH TO GROW AN INCH
CHROMO'S PL: 56,000
Chromo had checked his own records shortly after meeting Cystic out of curiosity. The day his development began was... today? Well, a year ago today. The bug clicked his tongue, eyes narrowing... Did that mean it was his birthday? A shrill squeal left his mouth- that meant he could get anything he wanted today! So he'd get what he wanted the most in the world this very day! "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!~" Chromo cheered as he clung to the back of a rollercoaster. Screams not just from the ride, but the entire park rang out. He and his clones had rightfully claimed the entire fairgrounds as their own. Some of the bugs shot blasts of ki at water gun games while others launched themselves at dunk tank targets to knock a stack of lessers into a pool of Hetap! Others "harassed" and took their birthday food from children and vendors, gathering it all in the center of the park. Oh, how hard it was to resist eating for now. Rolling off the rollercoaster and onto his massive pile of rallied sweets, Chromo let out a genuine, gleeful chitter. This was the best! Could every day be his birthday? "HAHAHAAHAAA! THIS IS FUN! AGAIN!" He cheered after landing on the ground, looking to the next coaster. "...But first! It's time for our celebratory dinner!" All the bugs screeched in glee. "EAT UP, BIRTHDAY BOYS!" The leader proclaimed before diving into the fifty-foot tall mound of cotton candy, popcorn bags, candy, and so much more treats. There might have been a body or two buried in there also! The mass of bugs piled over their dinner as Chromo sat atop, licking away at a lollipop bigger than himself... Something was missing, though. The bug narrowed his eyes, ki flaring. "...Where the HECK are my PRESENTS?!?"

Yanwang was in an old amusement park his arms crossed as he was on one of the rollercoasters. He was trying to get his mind off fighting. He still was really on edge. After Koban died it left a void. Sure, he knew what death was but this was different. He had seen people die but he never saw anyone he cared about die. So Yanwang was hoping to go to a park that about extreme thrills would keep his mind off it. Extreme was a word he used lightly. This was way too slow to be fun. Then everyone started running. He'd turn and thought he saw something odd. He'd frown, there was trouble brewing. Yanwang walked around the park seeing people screaming.
Seems they had a bug infection. He had to meet Chromo before and he was one hell of a warrior. He had almost turned Yanwang to swiss cheese. He didn't want to think about fighting right now. Yet, Chromo was causing all this pain to all these people. They just wanted to have a good day. All these people had to have their good days ruined by Chromo. He'd walk around grabbing one of the bugs that were playing with the water gun game and dragging it to find the real Chromo. Which was not hard to find. When your screaming where your presents are it didn't become that hard to find. He'd walk overseeing the fifty-foot tall pile of cotton candy and other treats. He was surprised there was so much but he was here to talk some sense into Chromo. He'd throw the bug he grabbed next to Chromo to get his attention. "Listen. You're causing a lot of problems for a lot of people. It is your birthday sure but why cause all this. Why hurt all these people. Why make their days so miserable?" Yanwang was hoping he'd be able to convince Chromo. If he was just looking for a gift he could always just make him one with the Fujin Bag. Maybe he could try solving problems without violence for a change.

Chime's PL: 8,000
An amusement park! A place full of mechanical, man-made wonders and treats, all for the sole purpose of having fun. Earth never ceased to amaze! Chime had stopped in West City on his travels, and been immediately taken by the bright colors, music, and sweet smells. It was all so much, the little Namekian hardly knew where to begin! He didn't have much zenni, either, so he had to carefully choose what to spend it on. After some deliberation, he sat on a bench with what seemed to be a pink cloud on a stick. 'Cotton candy', the vendor had called it. He took an experimental bite of it, and then closed in eyes in bliss. This was amazing! Why didn't they have this back on Namek! He would have to find out how to make this, and take the recipe back home. ...And, upon opening his eyes again, the cotton candy was gone, stick and all. It was so light he hadn't noticed it being taken, but the buzzing of wings did catch his attention. A giant bug was flying away with his cotton candy! He leapt from the bench and gave chase, "Hey! Excuse me, that's mine! I paid for that!" He called after it. His please, of course, fell on deaf ears, and soon enough, he followed the Chromo-clone to the great pile of stolen carnival treats. It was huge! It must have been all the food in the entire park! It was at that point the apparent leader of the thieves began to screech on about birthdays and presents. Despite the unassuming, insectoid form and the comical lollipop it was eating, Chime could sense the power coming from this creature. He was intimidated, no question about it. Lucky for him, he wasn't alone out here. Someone else was standing up to the candy thief, some stout red fellow with horns and a satchel. He quickly ran over to this stranger's side; he seemed to a much more likely ally, "What's going on?! What is that thing?" He asked, once he got close enough to the ogre.

Tarch PL: 35,000
“I’m late! I’m late! How could I possibly be running late?!” One of, if the not the fastest child on the face of planet earth was somehow running late. Not just for school, or errands or any number of possible boring places he could be going. But his best friend’s birthday was today! Something he couldn’t miss for the world! Yet here he was running late, all for a dumb idea he had. For months Tarch had played the unsuccessful voice of reason. Though he wasn’t entirely happy about it, his birthday present would be more metaphorical than anything else. Today, and today only, Tarch would not only let the bug do whatever he liked, but he’d even try and join in. As such the saiyan wanted to pick up a mask just in case he ran into anyone else he knew. This was what held him up so long. With October less than a month away, most costume shops were still preparing for the Fall rush. So in a fitting bit of irony, the only mask Tarch could get his hands on two shops later was an actual insectoid mask, looking like a more creepy version of Chromo.
Despite his lateness, Tarch would arrive in the west city amusement park just in time to find the birthday bio-android boy, or rather her immense swarm partying it up to the misfortune of just about everyone else. The teenager took a deep breath. “Alright Tarch, just let out your bad side. Just gotta think bad… And at worst you’ll just apologize to everyone and hope they don’t hate you afterward,” he whined, his pep talk doing no good. “I guess I can just stick to letting him do what he wants without hurting anyone. He knows I don’t like hurting people so he’ll understand right?” Again Tarch gave a defeated whine. “Fiiiine, I’ll try a little bit of both. Be bad but not too bad, just let him do the baddest stuff.” With that, Tarch slipped on his new bug mask, as well as a purple cape he painted insect wings on for the occasion.
“CHROMOOOOO!” Tarch would call out in his usual way, though he forced his voice to go comically deeper than usual. Really it sounded more like a boy pretending to be a girl pretending to be a boy. In other words, making fun of how deep girls think they should sound to sound like a boy. Point is it was comical coming from the usually high pitched and childish Tarch.
Utilizing his immense speed, the teen shot straight into the pile of cotton candy, not even noticing it before he was halfway buried inside. “Missed,” he mused aloud, moving his mask to get a small lick. “Take two!” Tarch burst from the very top of the pile, a scared child latched onto his leg, a bag of candies in his pocket. “CHROOOOOMO!” he shouted again, shaking the kid loose. Soon he found the main bug boy, being scolded by two other unfortunate park goers. The teen quickly zoomed to his best friend, once again pulling the afterimage trick to greet each clone as he passed by. Tarch would appear behind Chime, holding his bug winged cape dramatically.
“That is the birthday boy Chromo! As of today, he is one year old! Still has a lot to learn about manners buuuut, he is only one after all.” With that, he’d give a hearty laugh before zipping off to tackle his best friend in a big birthday hug. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUD!"
Hope ya’ll don’t mind I came in half a month late, but Tarch can’t miss his best buddy Chromo turning a year old
