Thread PL: 6,130 It'd been a few days since Caein came back from, 'Bad Man City,' formerly Satan City! He'd been a fearful state that had made him awkwardly quieter than usual, with his sentences coming to slow halts as he remembered how the ordeal went down. He had to let his workers handle the work, although their tasks were already great in stature and number. However, seeing their boss zone out in strange episodes, numbering up to 4 times a day, they advised Caein to go rest in his room upstairs, which was serving as his current place of living. It didn't help that was still in the early afternoon today, with weather that couldn't determine whether it should be cooling down with the rain or if it was to be blistering hot with immense humidity! Granted, the AC worked and made it comfortable for the patrons in all of their rooms, with control modules to allow them to set it to whatever they wish. Caein's room was located on the very top floor, only accessible by stairs for the patrons and staff normally. However, Caein and the staff had a secret pin on the elevator to let it go all the way up to the 10th floor of the building. The thing about Caein's room, which belonged to his ancestor hundreds of years ago, was that it had encompassed practically the entirety of the tenth floor, save for an extra set of stairs going to the rooftop. Its front gateway was a old dual sided door that had a golden sun at the center with what may have been a face painted in the gothic style at some point. However, it was faded and smudged, leaving only just the sun with curling rays on a solid black background. He was laying on a couch inside, simply staring at the ceiling. "... I need a drink," Caein muttered to himself with a sigh, sitting up to grab and dial a very old styled phone to ring up the front. It was updated enough to call up the scouter receivers that the employees had been requested to wear down below. Caein dialed up the number for the diner area, one of Caein's workers picking up the call. Caein asked, "Hey, it's C. Can you bring up an Irish Coffee to my room?""Sure, boss." The person that answered was one of the girls, a youthful human girl with medium length brown hair, a white buttoned short sleeve with a black vest on top with a pin that read, 'Ashe,' black slacks, and polished black shoe. She went up and down on the employee's side of the bar, smacking a grabbing patron's hand when they tried to grab a bottle of beer. The counter was varying in width trunk of a tree that'd been glossed over and heavily polished so that the drinks could be slid down to people. She was in charge of the Cherry Tree diner, what they called the dine in area of the Hotel. The Cherry Valley Loft, itself, was much more massive than just the black monolith of a hotel building. It had a closed out pathway to a closed down Casino that served as refuge for the homeless and a easy ground for shady dealings. Caein didn't want a bad reputation, having inherited this poorly managed place years ago, so he had the deprived Casino sealed off from the Hotel. They also did have a 2nd restaurant in between the two, also attached by the skywalk tunnels. However, with the Casino having become an infested area for criminals and the like, it too had to be closed down. This was the life of the half-demon. He was forced to run this business by his mother passing it on to him and going on her own nefarious ventures across the world when he wanted to be the one travelling the globe for ancient artifacts in temples and monuments of civilizations past! He did try to make time for that, but he always found himself coming back to this place..! Caein wanted to have some freedom, yet the every day parts of civilization offered no reprieve for him! There were days when Caein just wanted to let this place fall apart and sell it for money, but it supported the workers here and gave them experience in the real world. Was there any place for him to escape to? Tysco Zautt, Sulfur

|| Tysco’s PL: 8,000 || PL Suppressed to 333 [UT1] Secret Identity is in effect
'This is the place...' Tysco looked up at the Cherry Valley Loft from outside on the footpath at the main front gate, consulting a slip of paper he had made with a few notes. 'Cherry Valley Loft. If my intel is correct, this place was in the ownership of powerful demon that went by Al. Someone like that would've for sure know about a good few artifacts. Man, I'm pretty dang lucky that I got an appointment with the current owner.' Tysco pocketed the slip of paper and wondered who this 'Al' character was exactly. Information on them was pretty scarce, sometimes weirdly ominous though that was to be expected— regardless, the common thread was this magic building! Tysco's own family property was similar in stature and significance, and several magically attuned families outside of that had similar boons. The presence of another super mansion on its own intrigued our hero Tysco... What threw him off the most was, why would any person have such little information about them around if they owned something this impressive? Were they simply modest, keeping largely to their own devices? Or were there shady dealings afoot in the past?
There was a mystery surrounding this place, and simply put, Tysco had to figure it out!
Looking past the main gate, Tysco tried to get a good view of the path to the front door of the complex before wandering in, seeing nothing in the way of personnel guarding the front gate, but instead he saw two people standing at the front door. They were two demons one purple the other yellow, both serpentine and slime-like in nature, a pair of hybridized demons it seemed. The two of them stood firm and spoke in unison to Tysco. "One moment sir, we are not exactly expecting visitors, please identify yourself and state your business." Respecting the guard's instructions, Tysco stood up straight. "I'm Tysco Zautt, here to see Caein, the current owner— I've made an appointment, also." The twin demons looked Tysco over a few times then glanced to each other, before ringing up their intercoms to contact Caein. "Excuse us boss—" The purple demon began. "— That one meeting that was scheduled prior to..." The yellow demon added, coming to an awkward pause, not wanting to divulge sensitive information. "Recent events. Are you still up for it?" The duo asked, now awaiting confirmation, they signaled for Tysco to wait patiently. 'Oh, dang, I hope this isn't a bad time...'

Caein's silence in the room continued for another couple of minutes. The drink he requested was simple. A shot of North City whiskey, a double shot of coffee, milk or creamer depending on the person's choice, a little mint, and some whipped cream with maybe some green sprinkles to emphasize the luck of Leprechauns. His worker should've been on the way out of the bar at this point, to be the intended interruption of his silence. Yet, to he wound up getting a different kind, over the comms. Someone at the front by the name of Tysco Zautt, who claimed to have set up an appointment, had arrived. Caein was questioned if he was up for the meeting still by the two alternating guards. Their voices sounded so similar that it made it difficult to discern the two! "Meeting... Meeting, yes," Caein spoke up, only speaking to himself although his voice was faint to the ears of the two, "He was here to meet about some of the history..."He leaned in close to the voice comm to speak directly to them, "I'm on my way down. Have him wait at the Cherry Tree. I'll be there in a bit."Caein got up from his couch, brushing his partly wrinkled black vest neat with two swipes of his hands. He got over to the doors and opened them up, to see one of his waiters, a simple human male with black hair, slanted eyes, and tanned skin in an outfit not too different from his own save for his vest being a orange on black tiger design. The man handed Caein his drink as he walked side by side with him to the special elevator and went down. "There's a man down in the lobby area right now by the name of Tysco Zautt," Caein spoke to the man, who was attentive to him. Caein took a sip, a brief smile on his face with how well this drink was made before he continued, "He's here to explore some of the Loft and view some of the old artifacts I've collected over the years. Can I request that you bring us whatever is requested as expeditiously as you have?"The man nodded to Caein. This earned a confident smile in his eyes as he took another sip. Bitter and a bit hotter than Caein expected, but it was delightful. A tug at his sleeve redirected Caein's attention to the silent man, who pointed out on his own cheek that Caein had something on his face. Some of the whipped cream! They were down in the lobby as Caein cleaned his face up and walked over to the Cherry Tree to meet Tysco. Tysco's visit was unfortunately timed. What could he be looking for? He'd arrive for Tysco to see coming from the enormous lobby area. Tysco ZauttLooks like it's you and I right now, dude!
