Yukine was walking back from his friends house which was pretty much located in the ghetto neighborhoods of the city. Well, least he could say it was one of the more tamed parts of Badman city. Either way, he was a happy, polite kids and none of the...gloomy, garbage smelling, smog polluted environment was going to get to him! I mean, he lived in a bad neighborhood his whole life, that's where his foster home was! He never seemed to have much of an issue with it...! In fact, he knew a ton of the people in the neighborhood! He was waving too all of them, like the old lady who ran the bakery down the street, and that pesky street cat that hated everyone, even Yukine, but Yukine didn't mind! They prepared to get back inside due to both, the sun going down, and the storm that the weather channel announced would be coming soon.
The boy smiled, his hands lazily idled in his pockets. It was quite the walk back to his house, but with the cool dusk breeze washing over him, he had a ton of time to think! Dirty, torn up circulars advertising pizza shops and supermarkets were tossed about from the increasing winds. Crumbled soda cans tumbled down the street, clanging to every bump it faced on the road. The blissful teen perked his head up, losing himself in his thoughts for a moment before he heard someone call his name. On the corner of the street stood three tall, shady looking guys.
"Oy oy~! Yukineeee! What up maaan!" The guy in the middle called out, wearing a ripped jean jacket and some baggy pants. He flashed an eerie smirk, tilting his head as he stared down at the boy. "O-Oh! Hey Jerald!" Yukine smiled, albeit a little off put by his attitude but seeing nothing suspicious of it. "Ahh nothin much man!" The older guy, who seemed to be in his very early twenties, looked down at Yukines pockets. "Well, aren't they lookin' kinda full today, wouldn't you say fellas?" He looked behind him, resulting in a burst of short lived laughter from the two goons who stood beside him. "Uh? I mean, yeah? I need some pocket cash when I go out to grab a bite or something you know?" He smiled softly, but sensing a change of tone in the atmosphere. It wasn't safe...he could tell.
Before he could turn heel however, he felt a strong grip on his shoulder, jerking him to a halt. "E-Erm!" He looked up, adrenaline pumping through his blood. "Give it here you little sh--OW!" The bully yelled in pain as Yukine, doing the only thing he thought he could do at that moment, bit his hand and took off. The three men chased him, and boy they were quite fast. Faster than clumsy old Yukine, that much was certain. But that's why he bolted through small corners that his small body was able to get through. He made a sharp turn into an alleyway, which...unfortunately, seemed to be a dead end. "S-SERIOUSLY?" He exclaimed, running to the wall to distance himself from the gang of misfits. But there they were, fuming with anger and approaching the kid. "You know, we WERE gonna just take your stuff, but now you little runt, we're gonna pummel you."

Another day, another trek through Badman. As he did every other Wednesday, Garbanzo was forced to leave his cohort of children behind yet again. This one time a week, he usually ran out for supplies and attempted to find more children to take to the group. Right now, however, was abnormally quiet. This community usually had plenty of vagrant children, but the amount this day were exactly zero. It wasn't exactly a problem; on the contrary, he had some time to think to himself about what the children at home needed. Maybe some milk would do them all some good, or maybe even one of those... "S-SERIOUSLY?" he heard someone shout from one of the alleyways below. After a bit of building jumping, he arrived just over the scene, concealing himself as to watch what was unfolding.
Below him stood 4 children. 3 of them seemed to be closing in on the other child, whom Garbanzo was much more interested. His energy... it wasn't human. Something was a bit off about it. The human's energies were subtle and unobtrusive, but this aura seemed to push itself as far as it could. It was strange, but there were more pressing matters at hand. Before any blows could be exchanged, Garbanzo landed with a hard slam on the ground behind the group of bullies. As he slowly rose off of his hands, he let out a small chuckle before speaking to them. "You three aren't going anywhere soon, are you? Would hate to miss my chance at some fun."
Sick, let's get this thing going.

"I don't think this is the right way..."
Chime made his way through the streets of Badman City with his face buried in a paper map. He'd come across a pamphlet at a train station some days ago, advertising the 'Great Satan City!' and all the wonderful tourist destinations within. The little Namekian was unused to commercials like this and was instantly suckered in, so on the train he went, eagerly awaiting the wonders that awaited him in the big city. He was most interested in a particular museum, which was supposed to have a whole section about the legendary fighters of Earth. He'd heard about all the big names in stories back home, of course, but if he had the opportunity to learn from the source, he wasn't going to pass that up.
What Chime didn't know, however, was how out of date that tourist pamphlet was, and the recent changes that had come to Satan City. Badman City, as it was now known, didn't offer him a warm welcome, and he felt thrown out of his depth the moment he left the train. His cheerful smiles were met with annoyed scowls, his questions answered with 'Buzz off, kid.' Chime was put off, but didn't want to let a little negativity get him down, so off he went, following the shoddy map in the pamphlet to various landmarks and tourist spots.
It was along this walk that Chime heard a shout of distress from a nearby side-street, and scurried over to investigate. He peeked around the corner of a building, what he found was a group of human teens, clustered around a dead-end alley, along with some kind of...he wasn't sure what the man was. Some sort of lizard-person? He had a high power level, whatever he was, much stronger than those surrounding him, and stronger than Chime himself. He couldn't make out what was being said, exactly, but the tone sounded threatening. It hit him with a jolt; this lizard-man was threatening the teens! He would decimate them, with power like that...
Without thinking more, Chime ran out to the mouth of the alley, behind where 'lizard-man' Garbanzo had landed, "H-hey! You leave them alone you...you bully!" he shouted.
Chime horribly misunderstands the situation! Thread PL: 8,000

Yukine swallowed a lump in his throat, his back hitting the wet, washed up brick walls of this dirty run down alleyway, cornered and waiting to be prey. However...much to everyone's surprise, the ground quaked resulting in everyone, including Yukine, to lose their balance albeit just slightly. "H-Huh?!?" Yukine's face went from just a tad bit of fear from getting his butt kicked, to pure terror. His jaw quivered a bit as if he were trying to say something, which had the thugs wondering what he was on about...although they did feel the quakes too.
"You three aren't going anywhere soon, are you? Would hate to miss my chance at some fun."
The three of them turned there heads before their heart sank. Simultaneously, all four of them, including Yukine himself, yelled at the top of their lungs, "MONSTER!!!" Yukine had no idea that this...thing was here to save him. For all he knew was it was some blood thirsty beast ready to toy with its prey. Fortunately, some brave soul came to their aid. It appeared to be...y-yet another monster? It was some green humanoid who seemed to be just as anxious as the four backed up on the wall of the alleyway. "H-HELP US!" Yukine called out to the Namekian, his heart racing as fast as a mouse. The three thugs were backed up right next to Yukine, just as terrified as he was!

Just after delivering his line, a Namekian appeared behind him demanding he leave the children alone. Oh god, this shit again. Well, at least the victim can help clear... oh, wait. No. He's up against the wall screaming with the gangster wannabes. He stood up before speaking, losing any and all menace he once carried. "Ok, Namekian, thanks for showing concern for the children, but I'm trying to teach three gangsters a lesson about bullying their peers. And you," he would say as he motioned to Yukine. "I'm here to protect you." He put his hand in his palm soon after he said all he needed. Not once had a "rescue operation" gone so poorly. Now he just had to hope that everyone understood. He wasn't exactly in the mood to fight right now.

Chime peered up at the dragon-man in suspicion...and a little bit of fear. Now that he was right next to him, the difference in their heights was very apparent, and the smaller Namekian was more than a little intimidated. Still, he couldn't ignore the human's cries for help, even if he didn't know how he'd fight this man if it came down to it. Despite the dragon-man's claims to be helping, the scene still looked suspicious, so Chime stood his ground.
"Alright, but I'm watching you, mister! Try anything funny, and I'll..." Chime drew a bank for a second. He'll do what? Heal him to death? He didn't know how to fight, what was he doing here? He panicked, in that split second of pause, but then remembered another encounter he had, in the woods, not too long ago. He couldn't truly set his energy levels, as that villainous alien could, but...
He gathered his ki to make a blue aura appear, very briefly, around himself, "...You don't wanna know what I'd do! But this is only five percent of my power, so watch out!" He stared the dragon-man down, and silently prayed his bluff wasn't called.

Yukine obviously couldn't sense power level. That didn't take away the fact that a beast who punched the ground and caused it to shake was standing before them, ready to maul them to pieces at any given moment in time. His heart pounded like a drum. He looked at the green man behind the beast, thankful that someone was here...someone strong too! Maybe they wouldn't die in this alley after all. The lizard thing spoke, but it was all nonsense to Yukine. He didn't buy any of it. The second that thing touched Yukine's hand was the moment Garbanzo messed up. The three goons took the opportunity to bolt passed the lizard Saiyan and Namekian, screaming for their lives. Yukine on the other hand felt a cold shiver run down his back, staring at the beast touching his hand. Shrieking, he clenched his free hand and threw it at his face, not even sure if it'd hit or not. Despite if it landed, his next move would be to attempted to run passed him, bumping into Chime's shoulder by mistake. "O-Oy! Let's go!" He cried out, running for his life.

The Namekian seemed to believe him when he told the truth, but made a threat if he were to harm Yukine, he would harm him, as he was at only 5% power. It was a bluff, but for a second, Garbanzo actually somewhat believed him. Yukine, however, seemed unmoved by his outpouring of words. Before anymore convincing could be done, Yukine delivered a swift punch to his face. The punch was incredibly weak, but Garbanzo flinched purely from the surprise. After this, Yukine ran past, along with the three other boys. He would hear him yell something before disappearing from his senses and sigh. He made a sigh before turning to Chime. "That was a nice bluff there. A little more, and I would have believed you, but hey it's whatever. Kids so that sometimes, don't understand that I'm there friend. Kinda sad actually. Anyway, the name's Garbanzo, I live in this fine city." He offered out his hand to the Namekian, this time a bit more carefully. "Now, who might you be?"

Chime stumbled a bit as Yukine bumped into him and ran past, "Hey, wait--!" He called out, but the boy was already dashing off down the alley. He turn to chase after him, but paused a second when Garbanzo started speaking. He was expecting the dragon-man to be mad, after getting punched in the face like that, however weak the blow was. But he didn't seem to be, and spoke to Chime in a surprisingly calm tone, introducing himself and everything. Chime's gaze darted from the outstretched, scaly hand, to the alley where the boy had ran down, alone, and he stood still in debate for a split second. In the end, Chime just nodded a greeting instead of taking the time for a handshake, and replied, "I'm Chime! No offense, but I'm not sure this is a fine city!" With that, he took off down the alley, after Yukine, "Sorry! I wanna make sure he's okay!"
It didn't hit him until he'd already ran a few buildings down, that Garbanzo had called his bluff. Chime flushed deep green in embarrassment, all the way to his ears. How ridiculous he must have seemed! He shook the thought from his head. This wasn't the moment to think about that! He wanted to find that kid. The other three were all together, and the Garbanzo guy had said they were bullies, assuming he was telling the truth. But this other kid...he was all alone, and Chime was quickly learning this was not the city you wanted to be alone in.
