Chime's PL: 10,000
A dirt path wound its way through the bamboo forest, unpaved and unmarked, created purely by the treading of many feet over the years. Few feet had walked the path lately, though, and nature was overtaking it again, with clumps of grass dotting the way. Along the path, deep in the forest, was an alcove chopped into the bamboo, home to a single bench and a small traveler's shrine. Both were made of old, worn stone, and the bench no longer looked very stable. The shrine looked like a little house, open at the front, and within it were a handful of carved figures, tho they were so old and weathered that most of their details had disappeared, and set in front of them, a simple stone bowl. It was meant for offerings, but it now sat empty. Chime had seen this bamboo forest in the distance, from the house he'd made in the farmlands of the Spinach Wastes, but hadn't made the trek out until now. He had been spending some time in Badman City, trying to help combat the curse afflicting it. Though he was strong enough to resist falling under it, himself, staying there for days on end still brought his spirits down, and left him feeling gloomy and drained. A long walk out in nature would do good to clear his head, and besides, there wasn't any plant on Namek like bamboo, so Chime was curious to see it up close. That was what brought him here, to the little abandoned shrine deep in the forest. He wasn't sure what it was a shrine to, exactly. Maybe just a place for travelers to rest, and pray for a safe journey? Maybe it was dedicated to a god of nature? Maybe just for luck? Chime didn't know, but he took a moment to conjure up a bright red apple in his hand, and placed it in the offering bowl. Neo

|| Tysco’s PL: 8,000 || PL Suppressed to 333 [UT1] Secret Identity is in effect
Indeed, only a fair few would travel this path nowadays. 'Okay, so the journal said thaaaat... There should be something of importance out here...' One of those few was none other than Tysco, an Earthling magic enthusiast. Ever since he had retrieved a tome of great mystical importance that once belonged to his friend's grandfather, a whole new world had opened up to him. Within the pages of this journal there were many multitudes of secrets. The places where magic flowed freely on Earth, the cures to evil curses, where many mysterious things were sealed— either with good reason or complete accident— the possibilities were endless!
'To those that seek to take their time, and those walking an uncertain line, when lost you are you'll see the sign, rest a moment here— all will be fine...' Tysco mulled over the quote from the journal, paying more attention to it rather than where he was going. Fortunately, there was nobody else around here. Interestingly enough, in these moments of absentmindedness, it was as if Tysco was being guided to where he wanted to go!
With his mini trance broken by his Ki sense alerting him to a decently strong soul nearby, Tysco blinked rapidly and shook his head. 'Fffh, I really need to stop spacing out so much.' Just a short way down the path deep in this section of the forest, Tysco saw a small Namekian examining something. Tysco wandered over whilst waving. "O-oh, hello there, excuse me, I'm not intruding am I?" He asked with a curious tone to his voice. Apparently there was some form of shrine here... Unfortunately it wasn't in great shape. Tysco frowned, kneeling to get a better look at the shrine and bench. "Oh dear... It seems nobody has been here to take care of this shrine..." Tysco muttered to himself, before looking to the Namekian once again. "Erm- sorry- where are my manners; I'm Tysco. I'm looking for—" He looked back at his journal and turned the page, seeing a drawing of something that looked eerily similar to this shrine. Perhaps when it was in its prime? "I'm... Looking for this shrine, apparently. Now thats a coincidence and a half."

Bloom's PL: 3,000 | 9,000 Ki Suppression: Active (Reads as 5)
Golden clouds and bright green grass drifted in the breeze inside of Bloom’s dream. It was a strange place unlike any that she had ever seen. But, it was pretty pleasant honestly. Could use some candy though. And some cake. A sudden pink like shot across the sky, darkening it. Bloom grimaced and shielded her eyes, sitting up. What was going on over there?
As she got up to investigate, the ground beneath her trembled and shook. A giant snake erupted out from beneath her. Bloom danced to the side just barely managing to avoid getting swallowed by the damn thing. With an unsettling jerk, Bloom blinked as her pants caught on one of its spines and pulled her along. Well, this was happening now. And..was the snake talking…? Something about a shrine? Wait…“Huh…?” Bloom mumbled and opened her eyes in the waking world, glancing around with confusion. She was laying under this tiny house. Right...she’d come here for some shut eye. Rubbing her eyes and the drool off her face, Bloom stood up, using the shrine as a bit of a crutch to help her stand up. She blinked when she saw not one but two people standing in front of the tiny house. “Shrine? What shrine?” Bloom glanced at both of them. One of them was pretty strong actually, but something about his aura kinda just made her feel...relaxed? It was kinda nice. The other one was pretty strong too for an average person. Like actually pretty really strong. Not close to her level, but still. She plopped her head onto the roof of the tiny house, feeling some shyness sink in. “Um.. Sorry…” Chime

It was disheartening how little she could find in her journey. Her once shining ambition to become kami soon began to fade. While her journey to Namek was interesting, it didn't bear any fruit, especially when she found herself unable to find the shrine. This time though, she refused to fall into the state she fell into during her failed attempt to find the Z-sword. If she was beginning to fail this many times, perhaps it would be better if she were to just give it up. However, before she was going to do anything Neo needed to pray. Not just to Saban, but rather the other deities that watched over their land. They deserved respect as well.
Today she was traveling alone. While it was nice having the company of a companion along with her, Neo had decided she needed some time alone. There were many spiritual places sprinkled across Earth with the most potent of them all being the lookout, but Neo could feel some of the lesser ones as well. Her senses had led her to the giant Bamboo Forest, renowned for their dangerous animals yet she still didn't hesitate walking in. Thankfully she managed to avoid them, sensing out energy signals before walking the other direction towards the wisps of spiritual energy she felt. It wasn't long before she came to what appeared to be a small home. Initially, Neo was confused. Why was there a house in the middle of nowhere? It didn't really make sense. But as she entered the abode, she was surprised by the number of people in here. However, it was unmistakable that the house was a shrine to the nature god.
"Hello," She greeted, looking at each of the individuals. A namekian, a strange human, and a gummy-like being akin to one she saw when she first came to Earth. "Is this your shrine? If so, I apologize. I only wish to pray if that is possible." Taking a glance at the shrine, she noticed a few offerings. Perhaps it wouldn't matter if she made one herself. Her hand reached into the pocket of her kimono, taking out a small packet that she began to unwrap. Inside laid a small gem, an emerald in the shape of a teardrop. It was nothing created by magic, but something that Neo had managed to buy, a true natural gem of the Earth. Placing it in the offering bowl she would look around. "Do you happen to know which god this is for?"

Chime set down his offering, then took a couple steps back in alarm as something moved under the shrine. A beast? A monster? A restless spirit? He blinked at the white figure that stood up; she was none of those things, just a majin. He waved his hands in front of him as she began to apologize, "What? No, no, don't be sorry! I'm the one that's intruding. Do you live here...?"
He turned when he felt a pair of energy signatures approaching through the forest, one after the other. One slightly above average, but one...stronger than Chime himself. He stood, not sure what to expect. It certainly wasn't the two that emerged from the bamboo: a white haired boy with his nose in a book and a small, pink haired girl with horns. Maybe this shrine was more of a tourist destination than he'd thought? The Namekian took another step back, and gave everyone a bow of his head as greeting, "Afternoon! I'm Chime. And...this isn't mine, no. I didn't even know this was out here, honestly, I just wanted to walk somewhere out of the city."
He watched the pink-haired girl place her own offering in the bowl. A green gem, sparkling and beautiful, and Chime couldn't help but frown. His conjured apple suddenly seemed terribly inadequate. Maybe he should have made something more rare? Or brought something, instead of materialized it? He was so wrapped up in his own doubts that it took him a moment to realize the girl had asked him a question, "--Oh! Uh! I don't, no. I'm not that familiar with Earth's gods, honestly," He rubbed the back of his neck, and glanced aside to the other two, "Do you know? What about your book there, does that say anything?"

Apparently, there was someone sleeping down by the tiny house in the tall grass. A Majin, of all things— one with a relatively minor level of strength in their soul, apparently? That was new to Tysco, to say the least. he let the young Namekian speak before him. "Uhh... Hello? Sorry to have woken you up, but I wouldn't exactly advise just up and having a nap in the middle of the wilderness like that." In their drowsy state, the Majin leaned against the tiny house, looks like she was a heavy sleeper and took a while to fully rise. "Ah, see that little house there? The one you're leaning on? Thats the shrine we're talking about." Tysco explained with a smile, trying to make the Majin feel welcome.
Shortly after that, another person arrived, a short horned child. Now what sort of luck was this? A shrine seemingly abandoned for a very long while just had four visitors show up within mere minutes! As bizarre as that may sound, Tysco was grateful for this occurrence. Whoever or whatever this was a shrine to, wouldn't feel alone anymore, at least in spirit— it warmed the young man's heart.
Waving to the latest arrival, Tysco politely let the others converse while he took a closer look at the shrine itself. Called to attention by mention of his book, Tysco's eyes lit up a little. A chance to share knowledge? Oh boy! "Well—" He began, bringing the journal back out. "According to this journal, there isn't much immediately shown on this page beyond a drawing and a quote..." Clearing his throat, Tysco spoke with a bit of mystical flair to his tone. "To those that seek to take their time, and those walking an uncertain line, when lost you are you'll see the sign, rest a moment here— all will be fine... That is what it says. Now, that leads me to believe that the purpose of this shrine was to keep travelers safe. As for the entity it was built in honor of, I can only make a few barely accurate guesses without further study. There is also a possibility that the journal holds more secrets on this page that are concealed by magic. On my own it would take a while, perhaps if we are all adept in mystic arts we could make a joint effort? It couldn't hurt to try!" Tysco smiled warmly, his eye frills danced upward at the idea.

“No...just passing through…” Bloom mumbled groggily in response to Chime’s question. If she were more awake, she might have thought to lie and tell him she did. But she wasn’t. So. Yeah. She looked over to the alien with eye frills as he answered a question that she had posed. Oh. The tiny house was the shrine. Okay. She supposed she ought to stop leaning on it. Rubbing her malleable face, Bloom stood up all of the way and walked around to the front of the shrine where yet another newcomer at arrived. This one was some horned dragon girl. She was kinda cute. Still, one thing was weird. Everyone here had pretty abnormal power levels. She was suppressing hers, so at least she looked normal. Or sensed normal. Whatever. Turning to frilly man as he began to read out what this shrine was for, Bloom blinked, glancing to the shrine. “Huh...I’m traveling...and I had a weird dream…” Maybe it was a sign? Hm. It was then that frill boy made the suggestion to use some mystic mumbo jumbo to find some secrets. Bloom wasn’t sure she could help with that, but she could try to help. At least a little. “Sure, why not…? I dunno much about mystic arts though… Oh. Bloom… is my name…”

A shrine that all of them just so happened to stumble upon. While it was extremely rare something like this would happen and Neo was suspicious whether at least one of them was telling the truth, she merely shrugged and carried on. Perhaps it was Saban bringing them all together. She had a special way of connecting them all together after all. "What gods are you familiar with?" She asked the namekian, Chime. Was he from Namek? If so, Neo silently wondered if he knew anything about the dragon balls. He would then go up to the humanoid who would talk out a book and explain what the shrine was really for.
"Perhaps it is the god's will to bring us all together." She said with a small smile on her face. "Why else would we all be gathered here today?" The chance of them all coming together was fairly slim, especially around the same time. The majin would verify this, mentioning she was only passing through here and nothing else. Neo couldn't help but wonder if the true meaning of this shrine wasn't just for safe travels to their next destination. Perhaps it was something else. Maybe it was a request to guide one through life and whatever it tried to put in front of her.
It had seemed that most of the people here knew mystic arts, and the journal the humanoid had was concealed with magic. Frowning, Neo walked up to him and took a look at the book. She did her best trying to feel for any trace of magic inside the journal to verify her statement. She couldn't exactly feel anything coming from it. If there was magic within the journal it was subtle, small enough and to the point that it couldn't be felt through normal means. "What is your name?" She asked. Maybe this was some sort of magic connected through blood and only the family could awaken its true potential. "I'm Neo. It seems only fair for me to give my name after you had presented yours to me." She said looking around and giving each of them a short curtsy as a sign of respect. "I know a little bit of magic, so I can try to help with that. We can write down the clues on here." She said with a small giggle. Waving her hands, a piece of paper and a pencil would appear in her hands out of nowhere.

“Hrm...” Chime held his chin in his hand as he listened to Tysco read from his journal, “Rest a moment...it sounds like we should sit here and meditate, maybe then something will be revealed? Unless it meant to just be a literal stop on the road, without anything magic about it.” He sat down on the stone bench in front of the shrine with a thoughtful frown.
He was pulled from his pondering by Neo, asking him about gods, “Oh, uh,” he rubbed the back of his neck self consciously, “Not...any specific, really. I just know there’s a lot of different ones, pantheons or singular gods, or spirits within nature...Earth is really varied, honestly, it’s been a lot to take in.” He watched as she conjured some more items, a paper and pencil. Extremely simple objects, but Chime was still feeling a bit embarrassed about offering an apple when she offered a gemstone. So, he held his hands out, and in a flash of white light, a dozen pencils flew up into the air, “Everyone can have one! Oh-- oops, um...”
Now even more embarrassed than before, Chime scurried around to pick up all the pencils. He hadn’t meant to make that many, he’d gotten a little carried away. He picked up one by Bloom’s feet, and his gaze drifted up to the majin as he thought of something. The realization that hit him made him gasp aloud.
“Oh, oh! Wait! You literally rested here, you were asleep! And you said you had a weird dream? What was it about? Maybe it was because of the shrine!”

“Heheh, nice. Glad to be working with you all!” Tysco smiled wide. He truly believed that they could crack the case here!
As introductions occurred throughout the group, Tysco waited until they were done, to punctuate the proceedings with a polite bow. “Well, it is nice to meet you all. For those that didn’t hear; my name is Tysco.” Ruminating on what had been said so far, Tysco began to think more about ‘fate’, as Neo had described it. It would be a coincidence... If it wasn’t such a remote area. So, Tysco was firmly on the side of fate in this instance.
“A weird dream, huh?” Tysco raised an eyebrow at Bloom’s explanation, allowing Chime to bring forward a theory. “Hmm. That might lead to something— The quote does specify resting, in most cases the most restful state one can reach is sleep, right?” Eyeing the shrine with a more keen eye, one of the more… Quirky facets of Tysco’s personality; the dorky rambling. “It is said that dreams hold meaning, generally within the scope of one’s life and what they have experienced in recent times before going to bed. Sure, sometimes the odd completely nonsensical dream occurs, causing some level of curiosity, intrigue or concern, but those feelings are typically cast aside by the end of the day, be it by some other thing that needed to be done— or when someone goes to sleep again.”
For a moment, Tysco paused. Turning around back to the group, it was clear that while his motormouth was indeed somewhat dorky, there was a point to it; there was a certain seriousness in his expression. “Buuut, given that we in unfamiliar, potentially magical territory, where multiple pieces of thus far gathered evidence point to rest of some kind being the catalyst for a readily available beneficial or informative event…” Thus, the ramble train reached it’s final station, and Tysco realized he had gone off on a silly tangent again. His eye frills puffed upwards in alarm and embarrassment as he made a nervous smile. “Aheh... Sorry. I uh. Do that, when I 'get into the zone', as it were.” Tysco cleared his throat and gave a respectful nod. “I should have given you all a chance to speak, my apologies. Do any of you have something to add to the discussion before we act?”

Bloom’s PL: 3,000 | 9,000 Ki Suppression: Active (Reads as 5)
When Chime remembered her mentioning that she’d had a peculiar dream, Bloom almost grimaced. She felt a little put on the spot. She remembered it. She remembered a lot of her dreams actually. It was a bit weird, but they just sort of stuck in her head the way nightmares usually did. Except nothing scary happened in them usually. Not scary for her anyway. “Well…” Bloom began with a shrug, “I was in this golden cloud place… and a pink light in the distance… and a big snake busted through the cloud and took me away from the light…” Rubbing the back of her head, Bloom looked away sheepishly. Somehow sharing her dream felt a little personal. Plus, she honestly wasn’t sure how much it actually helped them. Tysco went off again at five hundred words a second again, which helped Bloom forget her embarrassment a bit. Bloom just shook her head. Some Majin were pretty good with magic, but she had never actually given it a try. Her forte was more in the vein of beating things up. “Can’t say I do… I’ve never really tried magic before… though I’ve heard some Majin can do it…” She shrugged. “I’ll give it a try…” Neo
