>CAUGHT UP IN THE PAST
So maybe things weren't going as planned. At all. Ace was knocked out cold, his sapped body left floating aimlessly in the air. Garon, on the other hand, was getting more and more frustrated. Nothing he was doing seemed to be working. "I'M GETTING REALLLLL SICK OF THIS!", Garon yelled, attempting to blast a fake Erva in the face with a potent ki blast. It was ultimately ineffective, however, as fake Erva flew straight through it and knocked Garon straight into a fake Carro, who decked him square in the jaw. "NEITHER OF YOU ARE EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE REMOTELY STRONG, C'MON!", he yelled. It seemed he'd need a miracle to get out of this, not to mention if he didn't make the train back to heaven then well, he'd be here a lot longer than expected...

The unmistakable sounds of a train screeching to a halt would echo through some deep, dark underground tunnels, waking up a certain previously sleeping Doragon. There was no one else on this subway, save for the hooded, silent conductor of the train and their two passengers. And based on the decrepitness of the station they had arrived at, it wouldn't be wrong to assume that these two were the first to stop at this station in a very, very long time. One of the two lone passengers was asleep when a loud and static-impaired message began to blare through the intercom. "-bzzt-́ Hel̕l҉o p͡asse͠ng̡e͞r̸s.͝ ̢Last s͞to̢p͠:҉ ̕H̨o͜mé ͝for̶ ̛I͟n͠f҉iņit̵e L̡osers̶ ̢S͞e͜ćt̵ion͟ Z͞,̴ ͡S̷t̢atiǫn 25.҉ I̸ ̧repe̴at: t͠h͏įs i̢s͝ t̀h̨e ͏l̶a̴st sto͡p. ̵Thank ͜you͟ ͡for҉ tra̶v͘el̛i̴n͜g ̧wi͠th҉ ͞He͏llve̷n͜ ̵I̛NC,̴ and̕ w͏e͟ ̵ho͡p͞e̕ ͘y̴ou h͝áv͝e͢ ̛a͘ wo-w̡o-͞wo̴ǹd̀er̵ful day. -̧BZZT͞-͟"
"Wh-Hey, wha...?", a disrupted Garon said, slightly disturbed from his abrupt awakening. He turned around to see Ace, who had already gotten up out of his adjacent seat and started walking towards the now open doors. "Get yourself together, Mithil. We have only a couple of hours here, and we've got a job to do.", Ace said. "Oh, yeah. That thing. Right behind you.", Garon replied quickly. The Doragon rose up out of his seat and exited right behind Ace before the subway train abruptly closed the doors behind the duo and exited off into a black abyss of a tunnel.
"Hey, is this place uh... making you feel all creeped out too?", Garon asked. He didn't get a response out of Ace. The two silently approached a directory that was half covered in a strange, faintly glowing, crimson-colored crystal. With a forceful yet careful Kiai wave, Ace blew away all of the crystals blocking the view of the directory, which had cracked glass and a broken backlight. "This way. The Cave of Time can't be too far away.", Ace said, immediately beginning to walk in the direction he'd pointed in. Garon had been caught up realizing just how many of these odd crystals had covered the mysterious train station in its time of neglect before continuing to follow Ace down a flight of stairs.
"So could you maybe -- oh, I don't know, -- explain what we're DOING HERE?", Garon said, those last two words echoing in the silence of the station. "You kinda dragged me out here without explaining what the hell we're doing in... well, hell." "I'm looking for something, a sample of something, to be specific.", Ace began to explain while clearing out a path with a couple shots of ki. "It's only native to Hell, but a fragment of it should be more than enough. It's a rare element that can apparently minorly affect the time-space continuum around it, but all the samples that you see around you aren't pure enough. In other words, the deeper we travel, the more pure the-"

They both froze.
And it wasn't out entirely out of fear either. One moment they'd been walking down a long, crystal-coated corridor, and the next they were suspended in midair in a room that seemingly didn't have gravity. Those same red crystals were floating around them too, although these were a lot larger. "I... think we're here.", Garon's voice echoed in the empty room. "Looks like this won't take as long as I thought it would!". But as soon as Garon touched one of the oversized crystals, it began to glow, along with all the others in the room, nearly blinding the two. "Damn it, what'd you DO?!", Ace said while covering his eyes from the brightness. "NOTHING! I SWEAR!", Garon replied less than honestly. When the light began to dim, what Garon and Ace saw was... surprising, to say the least.
Where each of the giant floating crystals used to be now stood a crystal soldier, which all took the various appearances of people that Garon had met before, friends AND foes! The Stargoons, Cobane, Colonel Crimson, Nashi, Erva! There was even a massive fake LEO! "Armor. Now.", Ace said. He didn't need to tell Garon twice. Within just a second, Garon had been fully covered in his experimental new armor, ready to throw down with these fake copies. After all, he had beaten most of them before in combat, right? What could possibly go wrong?

TL;DR Garon and his minion went to this underground subway in hell to get a thing but oh no turns out the thing can fight back and now Garon is fighting hostile fake copies of people he's met before. Should Cobane touch one of these fake copies, more will spawn with Cobane's memories instead.
