Shiver stepped into the establishment tentatively, glancing about carefully to ensure the sign hadn't mislead her. A musty atmosphere, a thick wooden table with a bartender, racks of drinks. Even those strange blinking machines humans liked to lose money at were along the wall. No doubt about it, this was a bar, exactly as she'd imagined it. She turned her gaze to the actual inhabitants, freezing as she realized something...they were all staring at her. Oh kais they were all so big and tough looking, and hostile too, each of them full on glaring. It was especially effective because she was only in her tiny first form, already able to see she couldn't see over the top of the bar. Ugh, maybe she should've transformed before coming in, they'd hardly dare to glare at her when her horns scratched the ceiling.
Of course it was too late for that, Shiver looking behind her to glare at the now closed doors. Walking back out now would be silly, especially if she just came in a moment later. No, she had to tough this out right here right now. Shiver stepped forward, trying to return the stares with her own stalwart glare. She just had to remember their actual power levels, that none of the could hope to scratch her. Stepping up to the bar, she hopped into a stool, hating the way their eyes burned into the back of her head. Didn't they have something else to do? Like play card games or whatever? She just wanted to try some earthly alcoholic drinks, something beyond the store bought variety. Why was that so out of the ordinary? Aliens were a common sight on Earth nowadays, or less rare at least.
At least the bartender seemed unfazed, cleaning a glass with a rag and hardly batting an eye. But then, such types could always be counted on for that, no matter which planet you were on. She turned her gaze to the menu, eyeing the different options as her tail whipped behind her. Hmmm, so many choices, maybe a cocktail? It was hard when she had nothing to base her choice on. Out of her peripherals, she saw the bartender had put down his glass and was sidling over, it was time to pick. She chose one at random, meeting the mans gaze with a slight smile as she spoke. "I'll have...a Jack Rose please." The man nodded and started mixing drinks whilst Shiver watched. The Arcosian sighed lightly, feeling the gazes start to drop away from her, and she felt more free to look around. Right now she was alone at the bar, a fact that wasn't lost on her as she'd of sworn there were others before she'd sat down. Ah well, maybe it was for the best.

“You sure about this?” Tysco asked Sabriia with an eyebrow raised in uncertainty as they walked down the street in South City. “I mean, why not? You said it yourself, there’s some kinda magical thing in that one bar somewhere around this block. Grandpa's journal said so.” Sabriia seemed quite chipper about it… Tysco on the other hand, not so much. He never liked bars at all and nearly every event concerning one that he was present for was obnoxious in some way— The duo’s high school graduation party was ridiculous for one, they bailed early like smart cookies. “Pfhhh, fine. I’ll do it for the magic thing.” Tysco huffed.
Sabriia responded by hooking an arm around Tysco’s shoulder. “Relaaax, it’ll be fiiiiine, with the two of us on the case it’ll be over in no time at all.” With a bit of much needed pep from his friend, Tysco at least cracked a small smile.
As they rounded the corner near the bar, the duo stopped in their tracks and backed up slightly to just peek around the corner. There was a gaggle of people outside, a fair few drunk and almost all of them grumbling and mumbling in a clearly derogatory manner about ‘space lizards’.
“oh, great. Thaaaat's great.” The duo muttered under their breath with unimpressed expressions. Nothing about this scenario bode well at the moment. After waiting for the group of ignorant beer guzzlers to depart, Tysco and Sabriia quickly and silently made their way into the bar, expertly avoiding being seen by those people.
Safely entering the bar; it was depressingly empty, save for the bartender, a loudly snoring cloaked person in the corner near the dartboards and one lone guest; an Arcosian.
The person snoring in the corner was odd, someone would have to be incredibly tired, ballsy or just plain stupid to sleep in a bar. Tysco thought it was pretty weird, but Sabriia being the more observant and arguably paranoid of the two decided to at least keep an eye on that one.
On the other hand, there was nothing to immediately suggest that the Arcosian individual was from the World Trade Fleet, and their body language suggested they weren’t going to be looking for violence any time soon. So that was a good sign. Tysco became increasingly pissed off by the dullards that he saw outside, and exhaled sharply. “They’re so lucky I’m not in the mood to punch anything.” He muttered, wandering over to the counter along with Sabriia.
“Heyo,” Sabriia began, greeting the bartender with a little wave. “I’d like two ginger beer floats, please~” She smiled, glancing over to Tysco. “One for me and one for the party pooper.” She added in a slight whisper. “Hey, doofus I heard that.” Tysco comically rolled his eyes. Looking over to the other Arcosian, Tysco tilted his head to the side slightly. With an air of curiosity in his tone he spoke up; “Uh, yo. Those peeps outside weren’t bothering you were they?”

It was a tense few moments when the angry group behind her got up to leave, silently filing out whilst still glaring at her. Shiver was glad her drink arrived then, focusing on it intently in leu of other distractions. Thankfully nothing happened and they left peacefully, the tension in the room immediately dropping away. But then they had been the only other sizeable group in the room, not like she needed to worry about the sleeper. She was grateful for the peace it brought, and let out a sigh as she picked up the red cocktail and swirled it experimentally.
She took a quick sip, blinking in slight surprise at the pleasant taste. Fruity, like those apples the humans grew in trees, she liked it. Shiver took a larger drink, nodding to the bartender when he raised a questioning eyebrow. The door opened again, and Shiver directed her gaze over there, feeling a somewhat powerful presence enter. She beheld a tall gangly humanoid with white hair and...a mark over his face? It looked real, like it was a natural part of him almost. Trying to stop staring, Shiver turned her focus to the stronger individual...and immediately started staring again. Another Arcosian? That was NOT something she had expected to see tonight, not in a place like this.
Doing her best to avert her gaze, Shiver went back to sipping her drink as the duo came up and made their order. She looked up again when the white haired man spoke to her, smiling and shaking her head in response. "Oh no, they weren't brave enough to try anything." She thought back for a moment, cringing as she remembered the hateful looks and her smile faded. "They certainly wanted to though, probably would've if they thought they could get away it." The small Arcosian shrugged her shoulders, tail flicking about in momentary agitation. "Why? Did they try something with you two?" She doubted it really, they hadn't wanted to mess with one person, no way they'd try two. You never knew though, they could've been egged on by the alcohol, and they had been exceedingly hostile.

Baring the Cold Dosu's PL: 24k
“C’mon you idiots, get outta the way”
He walked into the bar, a cigar hanging between his lips. Taking a drag, he took a moment to savor whatever flavor there was, he didn’t even have a clue what he was supposed to taste. But it looked nice, so he played the part. Eventually, he released the thick white smoke into the air as he took notes of everyone standing in this place. There wasn’t anything really worth mentioning if not for a couple of strange folks hanging at the bar, one of which was seemingly attracting more attention to her than the others.
He walked in their direction and found a seat at the bar as well, but perpendicular to them. That way, he could see all three of them. They were a bunch of strange fellows, although he was not one to judge people by their looks. It wasn’t every day you could see an Arcosians hanging out among…well, less Arcosian folks.
Occupied elsewhere, he chose not to bother the bartender and instead reached for something on the shelf by himself, as well as a shot glass, pouring himself a few drinks before replacing the bottle in its place. So, apparently, this was about a bunch of losers too scared to look for trouble?
“So, not eavesdropping or anything, but y’all don’t look very strong. Heck, for all I know maybe they’re too scared of hurting you too much.”
The bartender came to him, asking if he’d like anything. He noticed the shot glass and raised an eyebrow, suspicious, but didn’t say anything. Annoyed, Dosu replied.
“Aah, piss off, I'm trying to have a conversation here… Oh, wait, no. Gimme your best grog, would ya? Thanks, sweetheart.”
He went back to the trio, trying to put them at ease. The bartender mumbled something, but the Heran paid no attention to him.
“Hey don’t worry. I’m not in the mood to put down a bunch of kids tonight. Trying to relax, here. So, y’all gonna try and shut them up or just let them say whatever they want about you?”
OOC: Chill Heran for a chill moment.
