His red cloak covering him and his armor and carrying a large amount of wood due to that ancient tree, Aspara leaves the forest he came from and was now in a rather large grassland. With Aspara, are Cassa and Peppa, Aspara is actually following the two of them. He wonders though, what will they encounter on this field. As it is, he had but one thing to say here. "So this is what it's like outside the forest..." he stated with interest and some wonder in his voice.
He did hope that he'd be able to sell the wood, if not, he supposed he'd probably find some other use for them. No need to waste them after all. His statement would probably make it very clear to his new companions that this is in fact the first time he has ever left the forest.
It is almost Noon and is thus quite a bright and pretty day, only a few clouds in sight with some wind blowing adding some nice atmosphere to the grassy plains before them. Even now they still continue to fly.
Last Edit: Nov 9, 2018 18:23:33 GMT -6 by Aspara: opening up the topic slightly
Tail is usually hidden in his armor so as to not be automatically assumed as a saiyan. He is also part human after all.
"No matter what happens, I shall not let the burning flame of my soul be put out by ANYONE!"
They'd been flying for some time and the coolness of the morning was beginning to wear off as the sun approached its high point, if anything it was getting colder. The saiyan hugged her shoulders and rubbed them, she should have known better, but she supposed she could always ignore the cold. Each breath she exhaled was visible upon the cold air, causing Peppa to roll her eyes, looking back at Aspara. "What did you think you were going to learn about February in North City?"
She had recalled him mentioning finding about something that happened in February last night. She supposed going to North City proabbly had something to do with that. If she was going to freeze her tail off, then she should at least know why, right? Casting her gaze down at the scenery below, the forest they had been in before was slowly disappearing, being replacing by frost, dying or dead trees and patches of snow here and there.
Hurray, here came winter wonderland. She was starting to think hanging with this guy was a waste of time and bad news. She didn't really have a liking for the cold, but whatever. She could handle it. They'd figure out what it was that he wanted to know, then they would be gone. She could last that long.

Cassa's PL: 9000 KI Suppression: Active|Reading as 1
Onward they continued to sail through the air, and not much had really been said to her since the cliffside. Cassa didn’t really mind, she just kept up the pace with the two younger companions, minding her own thoughts about the ever changing landscape beneath them. It may had been the most furthest north she had ever traveled, and it was certainly living up to the expectations of a rugged, mountainous cloak that sought to hide the city that was their destination. She could see why they built it where it was when it crept closer toward them. The wonder of what they might find still eluded them, but Cassa was certain whatever it was would be mind boggling. Then again, it begged to question just exactly what they were supposed to be looking for. Cassa had drifted off to sleep before she managed to understand anything pertaining to the context of subject in their conversation. Maybe there was a flea market in the city? She had been guessing, and sightseeing most of the flight anyway.
When the other two started talking, she keened an ear in on what they were saying. ”Hold on a minute, do you even know what you’re looking for?” Cassa would pause in flight as she began to hover, directing an exasperated groan in Aspara’s direction. ”Please tell me the plan isn’t for us all to just fly there so we can ask a random guy on the street what happened…” She would give him a disparaging expression to follow, as though his answer might crush all her hopes and dreams of the future. Though the girl in orange would shake her head out of mild frustration, then resume the pace to catch up with the pair. It wasn’t really an issue when it came down to it, and if anything she was almost pulling his chain about it in the first place. Not that she bothered to let him know, as her thoughts already drifted elsewhere, head in the clouds- almost literally.
North City was steadily creeping into sight, she began to focus on what it might hold for her personally. Maybe she could invest in some new scrolls if she happened upon a suitable shop, or perhaps she would look into some new clothes for the winter. Maybe there was some kind of special cooking school? A bookstore with new recipe books!? Cassa began to daydream mid-flight again, hands behind head as she soared through the air in a relaxed motion, almost without a care in the world. She would rotate her body then slow her speed, dive to the nearest snow capped hill, and scoop up a handful of fresh powder before soaring upward to come up behind the two. After balling up the snow into a ball, she would playfully throw it in Peppa and Aspara’s direction, not caring who it hit, but simply laughing at whatever reaction it stirred. Like a mischievous little imp she would then rocket ahead of them toward the city, giggling over her little prank as she dared them to a game of chase.
KP: 3/3 Cassa throws a snowball at Peppa & Aspara!
Aspara listened to them, and wondered what he should say. His face had gained a more serious gaze..."When I said this is my first time out of the forest, I wasn't kidding." He sighed, his lips trembled a bit, unsure if he should speak the next words, he ignored the snowball that was now attached to his spiky hair looking ridiculous on it.
"so I've been on Earth all my life, just in that forest. My parents go out on a trip to space to do...probably touring or something, they started last year on December." the confusion in that last bit making it clear that he wasn't sure what they were up to.
"They tell me they were gonna be back by July. As you might guess, that didn't happen. On January they visited Namek, and made sure to let me know that they planned on sending a message every week." The snowball was gone now. "Then they go to Vegeta and on the second week of February, they stop messaging me at all." His hair was shading the upper part of his face now.
"I don't know what the hell happened, but I intend to find out!" he declared with determination on his face. Then he remembered Peppa's question. "How I go about doing that..." his face flushed a little in embarrassment. "I have no idea. I just figured North City might make a good first step."

The affect of that little snowball throw will come back later.
Her eyes glanced towards Cassa as she began to question Aspara in a semi excited tone, though one wouldn't say her excitement necessarily came from a good source. It seemed she was under the impression that Aspara wasn't sure of why they were heading to North City, which in honesty she wasn't sure why they were either. He had said he wanted to sell wood and find out what happened in February, which is what she was trying to find out before they were so kindly interrupted by the orange clad saiyan.
She looked back towards Aspara after Cassa's outburst, "She does have a point."
It would be a waste of time if he didn't even have someone specific here to talk to. They could go anywhere to ask what happened in February, hell if he were a little more clear on the to- Did he just mention Vegeta? Peppa came to a sudden halt, just as the snow ball hit Aspara on the head. "Touristy people your parents. Why would they go to Vegeta?"
If his parents had been on Vegeta around the time he had been talking about, that implicated them and told Peppa what could have possibly happened to them. Still she wanted to hear Aspara's answer before carrying on. How things proceeded from here, relied entirely upon him.
The saiyan would fly ahead a minute more, a look of smug confidence plastered over her face, which quickly vanished when Cassa came to realize nobody had taken pursuit. She stopped abruptly to confront her flank, hands on hips as she stared down the pair in the distance. Though she was a bit disappointed the ploy didn’t work, it was shrugged off without a second thought. Nobody was in the mood to play apparently, that was fine- from her observation they seemed rather preoccupied talking amongst themselves anyways. At this rate we’ll turn to ice cubes in this weather she would muse to herself, taking a moment to scratch an itch on her cheek. After another minute or so she would eventually grow restless again, then take off toward the city once more, but this time wouldn’t stop. Her curiosity about this North City was itching to be sated, and naturally the inertia desire to scratch that itch was a little too hard to stifle.
”How hard is it going to be to find me in a vil- Whoa.” She would have to stop herself, as she touched down at the edge of a store’s parking lot near the fringes of the city limits. Staring into the wondrous expanse of a metropolis that rose above all, and the surrounding mountains that reached endlessly to the sky, shadowing all below them. Some of the buildings were so tall, and there were so many! There were flying hover wagons, and it was so noisy, even from here! ”Chien Ho was right, this place is massive…” she paused, clearing her throat as she sought to catch her breath in the chill. The sound of approaching voices caught her attention, and Cassa soon found herself greeted by a pair of laughing boys, not much older than herself, dressed casually under opened heavy winter coats.
”Like tail girl, lil’ chilly for the outfit ya?”
Cassa had to take a minute to think about what the tall skinnier one meant, as blinked a few times then looked down to her gi. ”Pardon?” she would ask, looking back up to him quizzically. The taller one would laugh, then take a drag off whatever he was smoking. His stouter friend stepped forward, not saying a word, pointed to Cassa then would mime a man shivering in the cold. ”Oh. Well I flew here from Mt. Frappe I think its called, I’m on a pilgrimage to find a place!” She beamed cheerfully at the pair, whom nodded in agreement before the skinnier man would point at her a few times.
”So you’re a pilgrim?” he would ask in a confirmation.
”Well I-“ she would try to interject, but the man would backhand his friend’s shoulder then point at him.
”See Fatass!? I told you people still celebrate it. There is a holiday between Spook Em’s Eve and the Ho Ho Ho’s, just like I said.”
The stouter man would simply roll his eyes and mime a mouth with his hand. Cassa was forced to watch this exchange until she could manage to inject a question of her own, rather on Aspara’s behalf when the nature of this visit had suddenly come into recollection. She scratched her head when the two man began to slap fight, whether for real or not, was hard to determine. The fight when on for almost a minute before she would muster the urge to speak up. ”So…do either of you know what happened in February?” Her head cocked to the side curiously as the two paused, then abandoned their squabble to resume their relaxed disposition.
”Tch- only thing that happens in Febs is Valentine’s Day. What, chu’ lookin’ to be mine, pilgrim?”
The way he was looking at her now, Cassa could feel herself almost turn red as she took a step back. Well now, this had certainly taken an awkward turn. She shot a glance to the other guy, whom sought to address the flirting smoker to a car of human girls that had pulled up in front of the store. The talker would whistle before leading the pair away from Cassa, leaving her alone with more questions than answers. Just what in the world was that all about? She blinked a few times, shook it off, then once more took to the sky in an attempt to relocate Peppa and Aspara to inform them about this Valentine’s Day that seemed to be the only thing gleamed from that random conversation. Maybe it would help give Aspara a direction on what he was looking for? At the very least it was certainly the thought that counted, right?
Aspara noticed Peppa has stopped and so stopped as well. Peppa asked why his parents would go to Vegeta. "well, that is what I'd like to know myself. The only thing I know about that world is that its the Saiyan homeworld, but that's the extent of my knowledge on that front." he wasn't about to state that his father would probably have reason to go there what with him being a Saiyan.
Besides he has no idea how Peppa would react to a hybrid. He's heard that there's a certain prejudice that pureblood Saiyans got against hybrids. While he's not sure what that might be, he'd rather not risk that, and he also sorta just forgot to mention it as it is.
He noticed that Cassa had flew ahead. "as I said, they were probably touring or something, they didn't exactly give me much information before they stopped contact" though now that he thought about it, his parents did say that should he ever come to namek that they left something for him in some cave on the planet.
Perhaps he should make a pitstop there first? But then if he does so he'd have to figure out his mother's riddle. He mentally complains about stupid riddles. Eh, it's not really relevant right now so there's no point in explaining that bit. "We should probably catch up to Cassa." he comments before continuing his flight towards North City, but not before going down to the snow, and using his cloak to pick up a large amount of it.
A mischievous smirk grew on his face as he subtly hid the pile of snow. within his cloak.
Where OOC notes along with Transformations and techniques used go
As I said before...don't think that snowball was without consequences dear cassa...heheheh.
Cassa had flew on ahead not noticing the other two had stopped to talk, but it was fine, Peppa wasn't very concerned about her at this particular moment. He claims he didn't know why they went to Vegeta, but that planet wasn't exactly a tourist spot much less for Earthlings. Aspara was hiding something from Peppa, which made her question if she could trust him. Though she didn't tell them everything either, so she couldn't blame him.
"Touring, right." She said, her tone of voice showing that she clearly didn't buy his story, but she wouldn't push it.
Now they continued to fly, Aspara dipping down to grab a bunch of snow up in his cape, in revenge for the snowball Cassa had thrown earlier. She followed behind, looking out for the other saiyan girl, sighting her not too far from other figures, she called to Aspara. "There she is over there."
Flying over she'd pull up beside Cassa, her brows furrowed in frustration from the conversation she just had with Aspara, though it wouldn't last long. "So, did you find anything out?"
Hopefully whatever she was doing while Peppa and Aspara had been talking was a lot more productive. She hated being in the cold and she just wanted this to be kind of done with.
Not certain whether or not her discovery was moot to the young man’s search, Cassa found herself shrugging when Peppa approached to inquire about her findings. She took a moment, gave Aspara a once over, then turned her focus back to the other girl with a shake of her head. ”Nothing. You’d think the kid knew where he was going,” she started, then would lower her voice as she leaned closer to Peppa. ”He just needs to sell that wood. Maybe if we’re lucky...he’ll find someone he knows at the market?” She gave a shrug at the idea, not really caring for what the implication sounded like, but there wasn’t denying the truth of the words. They had all agreed to come to the city together, and now that they had done that, she didn’t really feel obligated to help continue this search any further. There were more pressing things to devote her time to, and the longer she put them off, the more likely they would continue to tug at the thoughts in the back of her mind.
”Do you like books?” The question was random, but Cassa asked it curiously with genuine sincerity. There were several symbols within Chien Ho’s letter that held significance, she just wasn’t sure just what that was. For all the scrounging through the master’s old things, there wasn’t any indication to what the strange runic drawings meant, but there were a few ideas already beginning to formulate on where to begin looking. Cassa theorized that perhaps a book store might lead her onto the path to discovering what these meant, or possibly point her in the direction of someone who might know. Regardless she felt it was certainly a more practical application of her time than conducting a clueless investigation that had so far yielded little results. She could sense something was putting Peppa off for that matter too. Cassa could only guess something had been said to get under her skin, but didn’t feel the need to question it.
”Let’s try to find a store. I have a hunch about something,” she would suggest with a nod toward the metro. With a beckoning wave for Peppa to follow, Cassa would take off again toward the rising height of the skyline. Soon she found herself soaring along, guided by streets as she kept an eye out for anything that might look suitable as her destination. With any luck a store could be found, one that unsuspectingly harbored a clue to help Cassa along on this pilgrimage. In the midst of her search however, she would come across a plaza where multiple covered vendor booths had been set up in what appeared to be a makeshift marketplace. What's this? Some kind of weekend sales? Cocking a head to the side curiously, Cassa would descend to touch down in the plaza among the crowd of meandering shoppers. Waiting long enough for Peppa to join her, she would begin to casually browse as she wandered from one booth to the next.
Aspara felt some relief when Peppa dropped the subject, he honestly didn't want to have to explain his heritage, thinking that she might think negatively of him for it. When she points out Cassa, his mischevious smile grows, but then he quickly represses the expression, not wanting to reveal his prank.
Cassa then asked him if he liked books, well...he did look into them at times, but that was mostly for research purposes. Still...perhaps she has a lead? Then she said something about finding a store, could be useful as he does need to sell the wood...but first....
Aspara flew slowly behind and above Cassa, but not too close as to trigger her instincts, then let off a visible smirk to Peppa as he brought out the cloak that held the snow and released it on Cassa attempting to cover her in snow while she wasn't looking. This was of course...retribution for the snowball from earlier.
If this succeeds, he would then continue to smirk mischievously at her showing the snow-dusted red cloak, with a glint in his eye speaking 'remember that snowball? Here's some retribution.' if in a friendly way. One hand would hold the cloak, the other would point at his hair first, then at her, before both hands go into idle position once more.
Some shoppers looked at them and just chuckled a bit thinking them to be just some people having a regular snowball fight. Aspara is just a teenager, so of course, he's going to react in a slightly childish way at the snowball thrown at him earlier. With a wink "got you~" he sung slightly in amusement should the snow attack succeed, if it doesn't, he'd still smile mischievously, but say nothing. In the end, the snow would be completely harmless, as it is just that, snow.
Then he goes off to go looking for someone who'd actually buy the wood, whether his companions follow him or not, is up to them.
Where OOC notes along with Transformations and techniques used go
snow attack complete, I'll get to the wood selling part next post.
