It'd been a minute since Nashua had done some serious training. There was the little bout with Xana to help get the royal back on her feet, but that hadn't exactly been all too exerting for Nashua. The other tailless Saiyan was around just an eighth of her power, after all. He battle against Chill had been pretty exerting, but that was more of a fight for her life than a chance to build up her skills and muscles. With Banzo gone, she may have been the strongest Saiyan when untransformed, but that meant very little when just about everyone around was capable of reaching insane levels of power with their Oozarus. Chamil was gone, but the consequences of her actions ever lingered as Nashua felt the tiny stump that jut out just above her rear end and grumbled to herself. She didn't much enjoy being an Oozaru, admittedly, but it was better than not having the form at all.
Mulling about it any longer wouldn't do any good, though. Nashua stepped up to one of the large rocks that sat a few hundred meters away from the main camp. This seemed like far enough to start doing some training without worrying over someone accidentally getting blasted. Nashua took a deep breath, and placed her palms together, focusing up her ki to try something she'd been thinking about for a while. Xana had conjured up her own weapon made of ki before, and it proved to be quite versatile for her. Nashua wanted to try it out and see how it worked for herself. Exhaling through her mouth, she broke her hands apart and began to channel ki through them in an attempt to craft the weapon she was most deft with in combat: a simple glaive.
It formed shakily at first, but as Nashua focused, it grew more and more solid until eventually, it seemed to be perfectly rigid, floating in front of her. That was the first step, but now there was just the matter of directing its energy for an attack. Beads of sweat began to roll down Nashua's forehead, and she grit her teeth as she attempted to direct the spear forwards, towards the giant rock. It didn't budge for a moment, until it blasted forward out of nowhere, and sliced clean into the rock, getting halfway through the granite before it burst in a massive explosion and erupted the thing in pink flames of ki. "...Whoa," Nashua mumbled in surprise as she quickly moved out of the way as the rock fell to the ground in pieces. She was pretty sure everyone at base had seen that.

Tarch PL: 72,000
It wasn’t often that Tarch actually followed the orders of the saiyan kingdom members. Today just happened to be one of those days the teen decided he may actually be better off just hanging around base staying out of trouble. You could say this was a once in a blue moon occasion, but considering it was always daytime on Namek you couldn’t exactly tell what lunar events took place.
Lunar cycles, or lack thereof, aside, Tarch was practicing getting his senses back in order. Namek proved great for getting his strength up but was an absolute nightmare on his mental health. So he just sat in the barracks, trying to tune out the chatter of random soldiers, hoping to sharpen his inner senses once again. Of course, this was probably the worst place to do it. All Tarch could sense was a blob of power right next to him. That was until a massive spark of energy caught his inner eye not far from where he sat. It was Nashua, likely training since there were no other power levels nearby. The half saiyan chuckled once again at awe with the older teen.
Deciding to do see what she was up to, Tarch hopped up and dashed out of the base. HE did stop just outside when he saw a massive pink explosion. At first, he was worried, was Nashua ok? A short run later and Tarch was staring down at the woman herself, some sort of energy weapon in her hands. “Woah… Uh. Hey Ms. Nashua! Are you alright? I saw a big explosion and wanted to make sure.” Of course, no one was around, which meant one of three things to the younger teen. Either she was just training and overdid it. She was attacked and easily fended off the attacker, or worst case said attacker was now a bunch of pink smoke. Obviously, Tarch hoped it was the first option.

Nashua took a few deep breaths as the last of the massive rubble fell around her, and she tried to think of where she'd gone wrong, there. Letting all her ki explode uncontrollably like that was probably too dangerous to do in an actual fight without seriously hurting someone, so that kind of technique was probably best used against people who meant to do her real harm. And even then, its blast radius was, well, unsafe, if how large the explosion that consumed that rock was any indication. Just as she was considering trying again to see if she could hold onto the focus for longer and keep the weapon from exploding, she was caught off guard by the voice of a young man,and quickly turned her head to see Tarch standing before her, looking mildly concerned.
"Oh, hey Tarch," Nashua responded with some slight embarrassment. She hadn't quite considered how that kind of energy blast would've totally been picked up by just about anyone at the base, even if they didn't have scouters or innate energy sensing. "Sorry if that, uh, concerned you, I was just trying out this new technique I thought of after I saw another Saiyan doing something similar, and it kind of..." she glanced off to the side, where the giant rock had been. All that remained now was a pile of rubble and large shards of charred rock, with the ground around it cracked and scarred as well. "...Exploded." Nashua usually had pretty good control of her ki, but trying out new stuff had always been on the wonkier side for her. She was sure she could get the hang of it after some more attempts, though, it'd be probably just be best to get a much further distance away from the main camp before doing said attempts.
"Anyway, how have you been doing? I haven't seen you since Kayen and Vocado went at it, right? Or, I think we met briefly after that? ...I can't remember. You look like your training's been paying off, though!" Nashua said as she tapped her scouter and gave Tarch a quick scan, finding him at the impressive power level of 72,000. "Wow, you're almost as strong as me, now!" she commented with a proud smile. It was good to see more Saiyans rising in strength to meet her - it'd felt kind of weird being the strongest one walking around for a while. "I'm guessing that training you had with Vocado really paid off, didn't it? I should probably start picking up on my training a little more, too," she rubbed the back of her head somewhat sheepishly, as while it was nice to see Tarch growing so quickly, she'd felt her own growth in strength had been stagnating, lately.
"Say, how about you and I have a little sparring match? I wanna see what kind of power you can pack. Plus, I could really use some extra exercise, basically the only person I've fought in the last several weeks was some Arcosian."

A deep sigh escaped Tarch as he realized that not only was Nashua ok, but she didn’t have to fight anyone. He did, of course, give a small chuckled when she noted how her technique simply blew up on him. “That’s ok,” he laughed, “I’ve been trying out a new move myself lately. Kind of blew myself up instead of a rock though.” The younger teen wasn’t all too worried about embarrassment, he was more hoping to make Nashua feel better with a shared slip up in attacks.
Tarch’s cheeks did burn a little red when Nashua complimented him on his growing strength. He could definitely sense that he was catching up, which was a surprise given how far he was when they first met. She’s now double what he was, and he was at the same level as she was. Still, the boy found it almost impossible to think he was as strong as someone who was so high in power level. “Aww… Well, you’re still really strong Ms. Nashua. I bet you could still take me on without breaking a sweat.” Almost instinctively the flattered saiyan looked away, his hand fidgeting nervously with the hair brushing the back of his neck. That was another thing growing out of control, Tarch’s human genetics made sure his hair was now touching past the tip of his nose when wet.
Nashua then went on to ask if it was his training with Vocado that kept him up to speed with the rest so well. At this his face fell to a neutral stare, still gazing to the side. “No…” he stated flatly. He thought back to his last training sessions with Vocado and how that went. “Well… kind of. Mr. Vocado and I… Namek has been rough. It goes from nice and peaceful to everyone out to get each other in seconds. Plus Mr. Vocado doesn’t seem like himself lately.”
He shook his head clear though once Nashua brought up a much more appealing idea. Nashua remained a good natured person, and honestly, Tarch just liked the air of power she gave off but without all the weight of the others. “Sure!” he breathed with an honest sort of relief. “We did say we would back at the base when we met. Besides, I could use a fight that isn’t… heavy. Know what I mean?” With that Tarch would jump down to meet Nashua in her little training area and stand at the ready, his pose still needing improvement, but far better than his usual sloppy stance. “I’m ready when you are!”

Nashua couldn't lie, having Tarch call her 'Ms. Nashua' made her feel a lot older than just nineteen. Not that she really was any older than normally, of course - actually, she was technically older at that moment than she'd ever been in her life. ...Hm. Well, regardless, Nashua appreciated his kind words. She frowned, slightly, when Tarch described how difficult Namek was for him, and that Vocado had been acting 'not like himself', but she knew what he meant in both cases. "I think just about everyone is ready to get off this planet and go home," Nashua said with a small chuckle. "Myself included." Hearing Tarch was more than willing to have a light bout was music to the Saiyan woman's ears, and she grinned from ear to ear as he hopped down to face her, cracking her neck back and forth in preparation for some real exercise.
"I know exactly what you mean," she replied as she rolled her eyes at the images that flashed in her mind. "It's been too long since I've just had a normal, relaxed fight. Let's not go too hard, here - not at first, anyway!" she urged the young man before taking a deep breath in through her nose. The air was then exhaled out her mouth, and the process was repeated several times until Nashua felt calm and prepared, her ki energy flowing smoothly throughout her body. "Alright, let's go," she declared, dropping into a combat stance and briefly sizing Tarch up: his stance was sloppier than most of the fighters she'd seen, but there was definitely a passion burning behind him. He reminded her of herself a fair amount. A whole lotta urge to do good and a whole lotta power behind them, but a whole notta know how.
Nashua opted to get the first strike of the bout in, darting forward and weaving to the left and right as she closed the gap between them. Against someone like Cress, she'd have most likely started with a fake out attack and tried to use the terrain around them to blind or distract Tarch, but she wanted to see how the boy would handle himself in a straight up fight, to kick things off. Once the gap between them had been closed, Nashua lashed out with both her fists at once, a straightforward haymaker aimed for each of his shoulders. She'd follow the attack up by leaping back a half meter or so and spinning herself around to bring a kick straight up from the ground and roundhousing it quickly, aimed for the side of Tarch's head!

“Yeah,” Tarch sighed, a sheepish grin on his face. “At first I didn’t want to leave no matter what, now after my last exchange with Mr. Vocado I feel like I’m forcing myself to stay.” He was comforted knowing that he wasn’t the only one feeling like Namek was not worth as much trouble as it had been, and Tarch was practically a bystander that just forced himself into the thick of it.
Now that the talking was out of the way, both combatants were ready. Tarch couldn’t help but take mental notes on Nashua’s form and style compared to his own. Her stance was far more smooth, where he was rigid. Her aura even flowed much more serene, compared to Tarch’s which was spastic and firey. Still, style was all dependant on the user, it was skill that mattered most.
Nashua was quick to strike first, surprising the half saiyan with a double fisted punch. He was so used to people only punching with one hand that he ended up taking both hits to the shoulder in his lame effort to dodge. On the plus side, the blow sort of snapped him to a more ready state, seeing the kick aimed for his head clear as day. Tarch would manage to duck back, but instead of letting Nashua’s foot soar past him, the younger teen would try and catch her. Regardless of his success, he would respond with his own punch, aimed for Nashua’s stomach, pulling her leg for added momentum if he did manage to grab her by the ankle.

Nashua's haymaker had struck true, and the Saiyan's fists smacked right down onto both of Tarch's shoulders. That was a bit of a surprise to her, as she'd been expecting him to dodge at least one of them. At least he seemed more prepared for her next strike. Nashua's foot whizzed over the top of the younger Saiyan's head as he ducked under it, managing to avoid the strike entirely. He was quick to retaliate, as well, and Nashua found her balance stumbling as Tarch grabbed onto her foot and held it firmly in place. She grit her teeth and prepared to send off a good ki blast into Tarch's face to try and get him to let her go, but before she had the chance, she felt her leg being thrust forward and a fist slammed right into her gut, nearly knocking the wind right out of her.
It probably would've hurt a lot more if she weren't wearing her armor. Now that she thought about it, it sort of gave her an unfair advantage, didn't it? Nashua managed to break free of Tarch's grip, and burst some ki from her palms right in front of Tarch, though the explosion probably wouldn't have hurt anything more than his eyes, for how bright it was. She mostly used it as a cover to leap back, and quickly wrestled her battle tunic off her head and tossed it to the side, leaving her in the purple tank top she wore underneath. "Just realized wearing armor probably gives me an upper hand here," she explained, "And even matches are always more fun!" Far as she could tell, Tarch was just in his regular, civilian like clothes. He certainly didn't look like he was wearing battle armor, anyway.
Now that they were properly warmed up, Nashua figured it was time to start putting more fuel into her attacks. The Saiyan leapt up into the air way overhead Tarch, and started by zooming straight forwards until she was straight above him, and launched a couple of small but impactful ki blasts at his head. She kept going, though, and hoped they would serve as a sizable distraction until she was behind Tarch, where she charged and blasted off a much more powerful, but still intentionally weaker attack than what she was capable of. Nashua was mostly curious to see how Tarch could handle dealing with mix ups and responding to both distractions, and what they were distracting from. He had more than a few options here, of course!

It seemed Tarch’s counterattack was a success. What was more surprising was that he actually did some damage. He would have never had thought he could catch up to someone as tough as Nashua, someone who once dwarfed his power but a long shot, now only a small jump in power away from him. Of course, one solid blow to the gut wouldn’t be enough to decide the fight.
What happened next almost scare Tarch right out of his shoes. A blast aimed right for his eyes, one he was sure would leave him bleeding from his face. He took a sharp breath, waiting to be blind for life, but after a brief flash of white, he only felt a little ruffled. The older teen jumped back pointed out how her armor gave her a slight advantage. “Aw man! I seriously need to remember to wear mine more.” As the hybrid lamented his forgetfulness, Nashua quickly began pulling her armor over her head. “Wait a minute! Do-... oh.” Tarch forgot that most people, himself included, do in fact have clothing underneath their armor. He took a deep sigh of relief. “If you wanted to take your armor off real quick you could have called a timeout. Anyway yeah, fair fights are always more fun.” Tarch was hoping he played off his childish freakout with enough tact that it would go unnoticed.
Getting back into form, the hybrid teen braced himself for whatever came next. His heart sank when Nashua took to the sky, something he still to this day struggled with. She then let loose a whole flurry of small ki blasts. For the most part, they were small, easy enough to dodge with little trouble, though a few painful stings surged through him as random blasts pelted his skin. The younger combatant could see that Nashua was still going, aiming to land behind him.
Tarch smirked, he didn’t have to look at his opponent to sense what her next move was. He could feel the small spike in energy just before her larger attack was sent out. While an overall good strategy, this would call on Tarch's two greatest strengths, sensing and speed. He’d freeze, looking as if he was just going to take the hit, but both it and the distracting blasts would phase right through him, as the static image soon faded away. “My turn!” Tarch would appear behind his opponent, aiming to land a heavy kick to the back of her head in exchange for her attempt to hit him in the same spot.

Nashua fully expected her blast to hit its mark and teach Tarch something, but apparently, he'd already learned the lesson she was attempting to teach. Just when it looked like her pink beam was about to smack him right on the back of his spiky black head, he vanished into thin air, without even turning to see the attack! "Wha-" Nashua started to say in confusion, when her scouter began to beep. It was alerting her to, what, though? She realized too late, as she turned her head just in time for it to be met by a shoe to the side of her face, squishing her face off to the side and causing a small spout of saliva to erupt from her lips as she spun towards the ground and just barely caught herself in time to keep herself from hitting the dirt.
"Huh, you have ki energy sensing, too?" she asked with a serious smile as she brought a hand up to lightly rub her bruised cheek. She'd seen a few people use that kind of technique before. Namely Ochra, and Ramen, who both were capable of reaching out and detecting people's power levels without even needing a scouter. "I've never quite had an affinity for that myself," Nashua admitted, tapping the purple and white colored scouter on the side of her head. "I gotta use one of these things, but it works well enough for me!" Nashua rushed in for Tarch right after she'd finished speaking. He'd handled her well enough before on the ground, but being able to fight in the air was just as important, and was more different than one might think. The Saiyan flew up right into Tarch and tried to knock him in the chin with her foot as her altitude rose.
Once she was overhead, she leered down at him. "Can you fight in the air, though? That's just as important as holding your own on land!" Nashua charged up her ki into her palms, and clasped the two palms together. "If not, then I can just keep blasting at you from up here, and there's not much you can do other than trying to shoot back at me with colorful lasers! But for now, I'll give you something to deal with, ya 'landlubber', as our pirate friend would say!" Nashua unclasped the two palms, which were now charged with all the ki she could muster after the bit she'd sent towards him earlier. The bare hands outstretched down at the teen, and Nashua shouted, "Here it comes!" right as the doubly powerful pink beam blasted its way down towards the boy. No gimmicks or trickery this time, Nashua just wanted to see if he could handle it.

Tarch couldn’t help but feel proud of himself. There were two things the young half saiyan felt he had more than anyone else. Those things were his speed, and his ability to sense ki. He chuckled a bit, giving Nashua a cheeky smile. “Yep! If there’s one thing I know I’m good at its energy sensing. I can sometimes even sense how people are feeling, but that’s a lot harder in a fight.” He couldn’t help but brag, especially when he rarely got to in the first place. Luckily Nashua had her own way of detecting oncoming power levels, tapping at her scouter. Despite not really needing one himself, Tarch did find the scouters very cool looking. He even tried on a few at the saiyan base on his more calm days back on Earth. The only issue was he would always get a headache from looking through a colored lens in only one eye.
Despite the small mid fight conversation, Tarch was not so distracted that he couldn’t see the older teen’s foot heading straight for him as she rose up. He bent over backward, the boot only catching a small bit of his hair. The downside to that was now Nashua was flying in the air with no trouble at all. The siayan went on to note how there was only so much to be done on the ground when your opponent could fly. Tarch’s heart sank. He knew just how miserable he was at flying, and how it always came back to bite him. Still, though, he could jump entire buildings in a single hop. Not to mention he could glide exceptionally well as long as he had something beneath him.
Tarch couldn’t help but laugh when Nashua called him a landlubber. Taking that as a challenge he sprang in the air towards her. Now there was just one problem, he was now hurling head first for what felt like a hard-hitting beam. Hard hitting it was as well. The poor boy was sent crashing back down to the ground, the attack hammering him like a runaway ice cream truck, leaving him in a small crater. Luckily the aftermath wasn’t anything too devastating, still hurt like no one's business though. Tarch was able to pull himself up, giving a small grunt of pain as he did. He looked back up at Nashua. If ever there was a time to learn how to fly, this would be it.

The laser Nashua had blasted at Tarch went fast, and Tarch blasted himself up off the ground towards it. She was anticipating he'd barrage his way through the laser and start trying to engage her in the air, and prepared herself to guard against some kind of physical attack. Tarch never broke through her own attack, though. The ki blast she launched off at him smacked right down into him and brought him hurtling back towards the blue grass of Namek, and the young teen smashed through the ground into a small crater. "...Oops," Nashua said with grit teeth as she quickly dropped herself back down to the ground and jogged up towards Tarch, who was sitting back up in his little crater and letting out a pained groan. "Uh, I'm sorry!" she exclaimed as she got right up next to him and knelt down, examining the boy for any bad injuries.
"I thought you would stay on the ground and try to block it or dodge to the side or something, not just, uh, jump straight into it without doing anything else," she explained, reaching forward to lift the half Saiyan's bangs off his forehead to check for any bruises on his head. He looked alright, though. Nashua stood back up and offered her hand to help the teenager back onto his feet, as well. "You're not that great at flying, are you?" she asked befuddledly, crossing her arms over her chest and tilting her head to the side in slight confusion. Flying was among the most basic of skills for most fighters, so the fact that someone all the way at Tarch's strength lacked the capabilities was unusual, to say the least. Nashua had been flying before she'd reached Tarch's age, for sure, and looong before she'd reached his power level.
Well, maybe she could teach him! "If you don't mind, I could maybe show you how I do it? Try and get you more comfortable with it?" she suggested, "It's a lot like riding a bike: once you get the hang of it, you never quite forget!" Of course, that'd put their spar on hold for the moment, though once Tarch was able to get himself in the air, teaching him how to fight in the air would have been the obvious next step. She'd leave it up to him, though. Maybe being taught how to fly was something special that parents should do for their kids, like teaching them how to tie their shoes or how to walk. "Up to you, though, I can just keep, uh, fighting on the ground if you'd rather."

Tarch felt his cheeks burn a bright red. Not only was a girl, albeit a good bit older than himself, now up close and examining him, but more importantly he did kind of just jump headfirst into a beam of pure energy. Not his best move. “Y-yeaaaah. I didn’t really WANT to let myself get slammed by that attack. Honestly, I thought I could dash out of the way in mid air.” Not the greatest excuse of all time but it was true. He was hoping he could sort of either use his speed to avoid it, or even blast his way through the beam. Of course, he would have lost all of his momentum if he stopped to deflect the laser, and wouldn't have been able to adjust himself if he somehow managed to go to the side.
The teen’s face grew even more red, so much you’d think his name was closer to a tomato than a starch. He had seen many people fly as if they’d done it their whole lives, while he could barely float without something solid beneath him. “I’m sorry Nashua. Er, Ms. Nashua. I actually did fly a couple times… but it was strange. I could only ever do it when I really got into a fight or got overly excited or angry. Like last time I managed to fly it was against Mr. Ochra, we both managed to land some huge hits and then I just kind of snapped but in a good way, like all I could focus on was how much fun I was having if that makes sense. At first, I thought I couldn’t do it properly since I was half human, but I am pretty sure Ms. Ramen can fly so I don’t think that’s the reason.” Tarch laughed, feeling a little relieved by the older teen’s joke. “Not great is a bit of an understatement ehehe,” he chuckled as he pulled himself back to his feet.
As he did so Nashua offered to teach the half saiyan how to fly if he wanted, otherwise they could go back to fighting on the ground. Tarch didn’t want to stop in the middle of a fight, but he also wanted to be on more even ground in his future endeavors and fights. Plus who doesn’t want to fly?! “Well, I don’t wanna force you to fight on the ground just for me. So sure! That’ll give me a chance to walk off the little beam I ate too. Then we can finish our little spar.” The teen stretched, wincing slihgtly whenever he felt the small stabs of pain from where the beam stuck him. “So, how do I do this?”

So, Tarch definitely could fly, but just had a hard time doing it outside of the heat of battle. Sounded like he just hadn't been able to master the ability, then. The bright side was, if he'd done it before out of pure impulse, then that he meant he could definitely learn how to do it on command. "Yeah, I'd love to teach you!" Nashua exclaimed cheerfully. "I was taught by my own parents when I was little, and the way they explained it was really helpful for me, so I'll just try and do what they did," she stated with a smile as she tried to remember back to how they'd put it for her. "Okay, so..." she mumbled as she tried to figure out how to put it properly into words. The Saiyan levitated herself a foot or two up off the ground and mused over how to describe it for a moment.
"Well, you know ki energy, right?" she asked. "The force that flows through everyone that we tap into to unleash powerful attacks? You can sense people's natural ki force, so I'm sure you're well aware of how it works." The Saiyan let herself drop back down to the ground gently, and began to describe how flight worked. "See, when you're flying, you're not pushing yourself up off the ground using your legs, like you're leaping into the air, like you did," she said, pointing down at Tarch's legs and shaking her head. "Rather, you're focusing your ki energy downwards, and the force of that pushes you up into the air, like a rocket ship using its engine to blast itself off into the sky. Can you picture it?" she asked Tarch, not entirely sure if she'd been able to get it across to him.
"Of course, you don't actually blast it out like a ki laser. You just sort of use it to propel yourself." To demonstrate, she took a step back and focused her ki downwards and pushed herself up several meters into the air, where she hovered in place over Tarch. "The harder you force your ki downwards, the faster and further you'll rise!" she explained. "It takes some getting used to to figure out what amount of force you need to project to maintain your altitude without bobbing up and down, but once you've got it, it feels quite natural." As Nashua finished her explanation, she dropped herself back down to her feet on the ground, and stepped back up to Tarch. "Okay," she said, "Now, give it a try! I'll be here to catch you if you fall, so don't be afraid, alright?"

The young teen couldn’t help but laugh when Nashua mentioned how her parents were the ones to taught her how to fly. Growing up with human parents was certainly simpler, but it wasn’t helpful in matters of literal flight or fight. “Yeah my parents were human so they couldn’t really do that. I mean like everyday average humans, not like Ramen and others.” Tarch sat a moment as Nashua tried to quickly prepare her lesson.
She started by asking the hybrid if he knew about ki energy. He knew what it was but only learned the name a little while before he left for Namek. Name aside though as soon as he could sense it, he knew exactly how it worked, well save for flying obviously. He nodded along with the description, staying dead quiet as to take in every part of the lesson. He watched almost as if in a trance as his eyes followed the soon rising Nashua. He got the mechanics of it well enough, but there was something bugging him, he just couldn’t put it into words yet.
Tarch was getting stuck on the physics of the whole thing. Of course being thirteen he had no idea what that entailed, or even that it was physics he was hung up on. He understood how rockets worked to a point. What he wasn’t sure about was how he was supposed to keep himself in the air. Still, he hopped to his feet and got ready to give it a try. “Don’t worry,” he assured his current teacher, “I’ve had some bad falls before, at least for a normal person anyways. I should be good for one fall or two.” He took a deep breath. “Alright, I think I got it… Imma give it a try!”
Tarch did indeed launch himself into the air, much higher than his normal jump would allow. So far so good. Tarch made it to his usual height whenever he tried to fly. This was the hard part. He sort of floated there, more like someone stuck in zero gravity than a boy trying to propel himself through the air. Maybe that was it? He had to try and use his energy to push him like he did to glide across the ground. There was only one problem. Tarch wasn’t sure what direction he was supposed to push. So instead he just sort of shot himself down towards the ground. “I TAKE IT BACK! I TAKE IT BACK I AM NOT GOOD FOR THIS ONE! NASHUA CATCH ME!” Certainly, it was difficult to land gently when you literally used your ki to shoot yourself to the ground. Hopefully, the older teen Saiyan could catch her flight student before he left yet another crater in the ground.

Nashua took a couple steps back as Tarch was getting ready to fly, a proud smile on her face. She hoped she'd gotten the explanation across well enough, and when Tarch shot off into the sky, she trailed him with her eyes, delighted with Tarch's quick success at getting the hang of it. She grew a bit worried, however, when he faltered a good ways up in the air, her jubilance faltered. "Uh, wait, Tarch, don't-" she called out, but then he did exactly what she'd been hoping he wouldn't do by accident, and flipped himself over, propelling himself straight towards the ground at an alarming rate and screaming for Nashua to help him. Well, looked like Nashua had to help him. The Saiyan grit her teeth as she quickly leapt off the ground and flew to intercept Tarch before he crashed himself into the ground and was seriously injured.
She was fast, but so was he - and moments before she caught up to him, it occurred to her that him slamming straight into her was really going to hurt. She'd already committed, though, so Nashua braced herself for impact as she got right under him. A speeding Tarch slammed into her armorless gut and knocked the wind out of her, though she quickly wrapped her arms around him and used herself as a cushion as Tarch's momentum caused them both to crash into the ground with considerable force. "Owwhh..." Nashua groaned a few moments after impact. She'd held onto Tarch and safely kept him from harm, as far as she could tell, though smashing into the ground at high speeds after getting her gut slammed into by a speeding thirteen year old was not exactly her idea of 'pleasant.' "You... Okay?" she asked the young boy as she slowly sat them both up.
"I... probably should have mentioned," she slowly said through winces of pain as she slid out from under Tarch and stood herself back up onto her feet, her hand gripped over her aching torso. "Always keep your ki directed downwards, unless you really need to speed back down. If you want to slow yourself or descend, you just lessen the amount you're projecting downwards. And when moving in directions other than straight up, you angle it downwards opposite the direction you need to go, in order to propel yourself forward." She took in a deep breath when she finally finished her spiel, then let it all out with a big huff. "It's best to just get right back to it, even if that was a little scary," she stated, "So, let's try again, and just keep in mind: always focus your ki downwards, unless you really need to speed towards the ground."
