BREAK THE WALLS DOWN| Ramen's PL: 91,000 |
Castle Namek was certainly a sight to see. Ramen had only been around this area once in passing, when she led a small raid on a Trade Fleet detachment. There was some lingering evidence that the Fleet had temporarily resided there, but there was clearly no long-term base. At least, not that she was able to locate. It was possible they had just taken to the area thanks to its historic significance... or more likely, its grandiose appearance compared to the rest of Namek. Everything here was so quiet and modest... on the one hand, it was charming, but Ramen herself had grown up in the bright lights of South City. Stretches of vast, rural land weren't exactly her thing. It had been a couple weeks since she had promised to meet with Kayen a second time, with some surprisingly busy days pushing back what should have happened long ago. The Kingdom was going through a bit of a culture shock with the two leaders, and half the time she thought they were prone to just stab each-other in the back. Peace had been brokered for now, but it seemed like it would have an unfortunately short shelf-life.
Her task here was twofold. First, she wanted to do what she could do secure a longer-lasting cooperation between the Pirate Queen and the former King. To her mind, everything relied on the Saiyan Kingdom staying function: without them to provide a shield for Earth, she couldn't very well figure out how the planet could protect itself against the World Trade Fleet. Secondly... well, after days on end of running around to attend to business, training recruits and even suffering through a little breakdown of her own, one she hoped would never reach another soul save for Nashua, she could use a little time with a friend. If Kayen could be called that by now.
She had sent a message by way of one of her recruits for Kayen to meet her in the castle, trusting her energy sense to guide her most of the way if she needed directions. For now, she awaited her arrival in one of the more luxurious halls in the castle. Where Namekian furnishings tended to be minimal, this part of the castle at least had some proper cushioned seats and some decor. Granted, it was a little extravagant for her liking, but it served a purpose. Plus it was kind of fun. She had brought a few things herself as well: namely, a capsule with a cooler in-case the points they had to go over provoked a longer negotiation, and Dragon Balls. Two of them, seated in plain view on the table. With how they glinted bright orange, reflecting the sunlight spilling in, it was likely they would be one of the first things a new arrival would spot.

Receiving Ramen’s message had been a bit of a surprise to Kayen, it had been a while since she had seen the red headed Human outside of the messy meeting with Vocado and Nashua, Kayen had busied herself with getting familiar with the soldiers and Namek in general to aid in solidifying her position within the Kingdom, a way to ensure that after Vegeta it would be all the easier for her to transition to full control WHEN she defeated Vocado. It was a bit tough going but at the very least the bulk of the base no longer actively feared that she would cleave them in half on a moments notice. But as much training as she was doing it really all sort of paled in comparison to her brawl with Ramen, that had been what had really gotten things rolling, truth be told Kayen was unsure if she could even have gotten as far as she did against Vocado without the boost in power provided by that very fight, if perhaps she had pushed a bit harder perhaps even it could have been the catalyst for her victory. Getting that message from Ramen opened a lot of possibility, it was entirely possible Ramen was interested in another brawl, and if not then spending time with the Human was certainly not something she was against, even if she seemed more good-natured than Kayen’s usual crowd Ramen was far and away the person Kayen liked best in the Kingdom so far. Finding her would be easy enough, the messenger had given her a decent heading on where Ramen had taken off for and honing in on her power was easy considering it blazed like a beacon, it was quite interesting that Ramen apparently chose Castle Namek of all places for their meeting, certainly a more comfortable setting than a storage closet. Kayen strode in making her way through the castle until she reached Ramen with relative ease, while the outer villages were rather… plain… Kayen had to admit that when the Namekians did something with style they did it with REAL style, upon entering the room Kayen grinned as she spotted Ramen her attention drawn still to her and her power, but her long ingrained instinct to assess potential treasure kicked in as something glinted near Ramen. Two rather large orange… gems? Kayen raised an eyebrow as she looked at them before realizing that they fit what she knew of the descriptions of the Dragon Balls, the presence of the Dragon Balls made this meeting all the more curious “You don’t exactly do things by half do you? Castle Namek is quite a step up from a storage closet” Kayen said returning her attention to Ramen.

Ramen remained in place, resting back in her seat as Kayen entered. She offered a weak smile, before aiming a casual finger-gun in her direction. She supposed the more formal thing to do would be to get up out of her seat and show proper respect for the Saiyan, but given she hadn't even shown that sort of attention to tradition for Vocado when he was the fully-titled monarch, it didn't feel right to do it now. Besides, she didn't care that much about their traditions. At least not when they meant her playing subject.
"I wanted to get out of the Outer Plait," she replied, plainly. "I think we've all been stuck there for so long now, it's becoming seriously wearying. Maybe not for you, granted, given you're kind've newly-arrived here in comparison, but..." she lifted her shoulder in a casual shrug. In truth, Namek had already seen her have a borderline meltdown, and she couldn't deny its effect on her. Between the war, the uncertain alliances, the off-and-on friendships with murderous Fleet goons, the planet had proven a struggle for all the wrong reasons. It wasn't quite what she imagined her first war would be like.
It was hard not to notice Kayen's attention on the Dragon Balls, but she had laid them out there for a reason. Partially a show of good faith, partially a show that she was carrying her weight in the hunt. "Those are the Dragon Balls," she explained, needlessly. "I've found two so far. We came close to having our wish done when the fight between Boreal and Chamil happened. They managed to scatter the Balls to the wind or something in the duel, and no amount of searching turned up anything. But anyways--"
She waved her hand in a dismissive manner. "I though this would be the nicest spot to meet. Less prying eyes than base, and less opportunity for... petty arguments with passers-by." She gave Kayen a bit of a look at that. "I know it's probably a miracle you and Vocado are working together at all, but sometimes I don't think you two are even going to make it to the end of the week without trying to claw each-other's throats out again."

“No it’s the same for me, that place is uh… honestly a bit constrictive, and that’s coming from someone who’s spent the bulk of the past decade on spaceships” Kayen said with a smirk as she wandered the room for a few moments appraising the furniture before pulling Fateburn from her back, stabbing it into the stone floor and tossing herself onto a couch near to where Ramen was seated, if Ramen was going to take advantage of the comforts of the castle then so too would she. “I figured as much, took me a moment to really figure it out, I've only read or been told about them and usually people don’t spent much time describing them as objects, mostly just what they can DO” Kayan said after Ramen explained the situation with the balls, it seemed even before she had caught up with them they had very nearly had a chance to acquire the whole set, it was best perhaps, at least for Kayen, that that had not happened. If they had assembled the balls and made their wishes then they likely would have also taken off long before Kayen finally found them. “But I LIKE petty arguments” Kayen’s grin widened at the thought of picking at the former King or one of the other annoying idiots that littered the base “You don’t really have much to worry about that, at least not until he finally snaps. Unless he does something REALLY idiotic I have no plans to take up the fight earlier than we agreed. Vocado on the other hand….” Kayen trailed off with a shrug, it was really hard to get a real gauge of what the former king would DO. Even still, it really was no concern of hers and would do nothing to stop her from speaking her mind to his face, if Vocado lacked the restraint needed to wait until Vegeta was retaken then all the better, Kayen felt more and more confident in her ability to take the win by the day.

BREAK THE WALLS DOWN| Ramen's PL: 91,000 |
"It's not my kind of place, anyways," Ramen replied, wrinkling her nose. The base in the Outer Plait served its purpose, but it was definitely very military in its structure. "I'm the one that put it up to begin with when the first of us touched down on Namek, back -- I don't even know how long back, now... it feels like it's been years. But the whole set-up is just very military. I mean, it's because that's what it is, but the Kingdom is a little strange in that. I'm sure if you compared room sizes, you'd find some strange discrepancies. Like, I bet Xanathrozza has a more luxurious place to stay than me, and I bet Kalabas is living large compared to Nashua. But neither of them have the same authority as the two of us, so..."
She waved a hand to the side, as if to dismiss the thought. "I mean, I've slept in worse places. I just don't like pretending like it makes sense to get less than other people. And that includes you and Vocado. Personally, I don't see why I shouldn't get those quarters all to myself given I set up the base to begin with." With that, she rose to her feet and crossed the room to pick up one of the two Dragon Balls. The five-star, specifically. "As it stands, you two are kind of making a bit too much noise about who gets the room. Trading it back and forth every night is just a little too childish for my tastes."
At this point in time, Kayen did outrank her. But even though she was one of the Kingdom's rulers, and even though Ramen did truly like her, she wasn't going to bite her tongue on the matter. When she heard they were exchanging the main room back and forth, she was actually a little embarrassed for the two of them. It was starting to sound like they were a married couple. But there was more business to get to today, aside from just taking shots at their strange dynamic. "Once upon a time, I challenged Vocado for the throne," she started, her tone growing a tad more serious. "That was the fight I told you about."
"All jokes aside about your, uh... strained relationship. I'm pretty sure you deserve to know the full history of the throne you've got half-control over. But do me a favour and don't bring it up as a way to mock Vocado, and certainly don't bring it up to the rest of the Kingdom." She rolled the ball between her palms, eyeing it for a good long moment. Part of her felt guilty about bringing this up properly, but it would have been even worse had Kayen found out from someone like Nashua. "I'm also pretty sure I promised to tell you how the fight went between us after your own challenge finished anyways."
"Vocado is a violent opponent, and someone who only grows less tolerable once he adopts his oozaru form. He's my friend, but if my first exposure to him was in that form, I would probably think he was basically dirt. But that sort of enraged behavior extends to how he fights: he locks his eyes on you and that's all he cares about. So when he charged me trying to land the killing blow, I blasted his space-pod into two." She allowed herself a small smile at the mention of her own accomplishment. "I'm sure you can see where this is going."
"He was at my mercy, after that. So I won the challenge. I just didn't take the throne afterwards -- it was more meant as a learning experience, to teach him to steel his nerves and to show him that he always had to fear threats to his rule. I wanted him to be a stronger leader, and given he fought to a draw with you, I would say it worked." With that, she tossed the Dragon Ball over to Kayen, before finally settling back down on her own sofa. For now, she left the purpose of giving her the artifact unspoken, figuring the news of the challenge would be enough for her to digest on its own.

“It’s some of the only real… FUN I get to have poking at him, and it does serve a purpose beyond simply being petty fun. It’s to make sure others realize where I stand here, that I DO have the same power here that Vocado has, anything he can demand right to I can do the same. If I were Queen already this would not be an issue, I have no specific interest in the room. It’s nice but if I’m alone I have little interest in all the extra space and bullshit” Kayen explained, it was important, at least as she saw it that she do as much to make her position clear as possible, that it was not just a matter of Kayen being another part of the chain of command, or even a replacement for Ramen as the ‘second’ to Vocado. “You SHOULD have the best though, you’re the second in command of this whole operation. None of those below you should have better unless you give them better or they earn it” Ramen occupied the Saiyan Kingdom's equivalent to the position held by such warriors as Shemha and Habana herself before she took the throne, it was absurd that she should get anything less than the best available unless she wanted something else. Kayen quickly quieted though as Ramen mentioned her fight with Vocado explaining that the fight she had mentioned, where she had beaten Vocado, that it had been a challenge for the throne. Ramen HAD at least once held enough interest to try, and she had succeeded. But instead she had apparently returned control to the former King. It certainly helped explain Vocado’s tenacious need to hold on, he had already nearly lost the throne once, depending on when it had been it might even have been relatively close in time to her own challenge. It was a REAL shame that Ramen wanted her to remain quiet about knowing that fact, such perfect bait to get a rise out of him and she was being asked to hold it back. “You know it’s REALLY unfair to tell me that and then ask me NOT to use it against him. But fine, I’ll keep the secret, it’s not as if I’m without other things to taunt him about” Kayen said with a sigh and a shrug, Ramen continued on about the tale of her fight with Vocado, it all sounded pretty accurate to what Kayen had faced. The fact Vocado had allowed his ship to be made a target was… well even that lined up, he had called the damn thing down very nearly right on top of her, if she had wanted she probably could have done the same, she’d had another opportunity to claim victory like that, when he had used his tail against her. “He might have learned THAT lesson, but he certainly did not learn from the actual defeat. He opened himself to the same exact line to defeat as he did with you, he’s just lucky I wanted to beat him as an Oozaru and decided not to go after his tail” Kayen said with a shrug catching the giant ball and tossing it in her hand a few times to test its weight. “He’s a good fighter, I can’t exactly deny that. But he seems easily frazzled, and worse outside of a fight he seems damn near ready to crack when his views are challenged” Kayen spun the ball in her hands trading her gaze between it and Ramen ever few moments as she spoke, unsure how Ramen would take her evaluation of Vocado. "He's dangerous when he lets himself go, you might be his friend, and I imagine he DOES care for you as much as that entails. But he has the disgusting superiority views of a born and bred elite, they just get pushed down until his true self is forced to the front, such as when he transforms into an Oozaru""I can only imagine what he will be like when he reaches Super Saiyan" When. Not if, Kayen sounded certain it would happen, and she was. As certain as she was that she would do the same provided they both survived long enough.

BREAK THE WALLS DOWN| Ramen's PL: 91,000 |
Ramen just shook her head at Kayen's first explanation. In some ways, it did make sense that she would want to stake that claim. But in her mind, it didn't do either of them any favours. "Trading the bedroom back every single night might seem like demanding your lawful rights or something, and I can see why maybe you wouldn't want him to have it to himself. But I think you're missing out on the bigger picture with that, which is that it makes the two of you look bad. Remember that you're not the only ones who can lay a claim to the crown, and if people start thinking that you two are being childish? Then they might just take that to mean they deserve a shot even more than the two of you."
She lifted her shoulders in a lazy shrug. She figured the comments might provoke some annoyance, or at the very least a boastful comment about fighting such challenges, but she thought the point needed to be made. Off the top of her head, she figured that Nashua, Cress, and even Kalabas could all lay significant claims to the throne if they were so motivated. The topic of fighting also brought something else to mind: she was right that Vocado placed his spacepod in danger when he fought, it seemed to be an unending weakness of his. But Kayen wasn't without her own weaknesses.
"What happens if you're separated from your magic necklace?" she spoke after a moment, eyes falling to where it rested. "Vocado's biggest weakness is that he's reckless when he turns into an oozaru. He leaves his spacepod open for attack, he resorts to blunt and aggressive attacks you can read a mile away, and his ego gets the better of him. You could probably recover from one attack in time to take the next by how much he runs his mouth when he's under the generator. But you aren't devoid of problems, and I think it's similar to his."
"You fight with your massive sword, and you fight under the augmentation of that necklace. Those probably serve you well, but you also run the risk of relying on them as a crutch to carry you through." She tapped on her chest, indicating her armour. "I've worried the same thing about this and thought about doing away with it because of that, but I think the magical power you glean from your artifact is an even worse example. Now, I don't know where you got it or what it's significance is, and I'm not even telling you not to use it, but rather... y'know, be aware that relying on something like that can be a serious problem if it becomes second-nature, and then you lose it."
She rubbed the back of her neck. "Which I guess is another way of saying, make sure you train to fight without them since there's a good chance one day you'll be forced to. Maybe even by Vocado, given he's so used to having his own items blasted from beneath him."

“I am welcome to challenges, I am also used to a rather… different feel to” Kayen waved her hand in the air vaguely “things, my ship and Raiti are not quite so rigid with such things as long as a level of respect is maintained between the rough equivalent of ranks present there are otherwise few things off limits. Beyond establishing myself as the ranking equal to Vocado I’m also to an extent testing him, trying to see more of what he’s like, I’m almost ALWAYS pushing boundaries like that, I’m just less pleasant about it with him” Kayen said with a shrug, she’d done a similar sort of thing after fighting Ramen, granted the boundaries she had tried pushing were VERY different but the principle was the same. “If I am separated from this” Kayen used a finger to pull the gem out from hiding beneath her armor “I am exactly as you see me now, it augments my power, but does not define it. The gap between me and Vocado is now, nor was it THEN so far that I would have lost, it provides a means for me to close or exceed gaps in power between me and an opponent, even in a serious fight I endeavor to take as long as I can before using it” Ramen had given an unsurprisingly very accurate description of Vocado’s style as an Oozaru and used it to pair with her warnings against Kayen’s own style. She understood the idea behind it, that the Ruby COULD become a danger in that way, but she enjoyed the extra source of a power boost outside of Oozaru “I tend to try to use it as a stepping stone between my base state and Oozaru, but I DO get your concerns, a necklace is not, even when tucked into armor, something immune to being targeted. I’ve adapted my style around those who try to disarm me, but if you’re so interested in making sure I keep up on that perhaps we could have another match, a bit less of the blasting each other into oblivion type stuff, more just me and you bashing each other's faces in.” Kayen grinned at the idea. While she had not necessarily meant right this moment Kayen WAS more than ready if Ramen was interested as she twirled the dragon ball in one hand trying to balance the weighty artifact on one finger while doing so.

BREAK THE WALLS DOWN| Ramen's PL: 91,000 |
"If you want to play that game with him, I suppose I can't stop you. But it does make me sorely tempted to just march in and blast apart that entire room. It's a bit of a bad look, like I said." Ramen just shook her head and released a sharp breath. "But that's as much on him as it is on you. Given I'm technically working for both of you right now, it only makes sense to try to preserve your images as competent leaders and hide the, ah--" she waved a hand to the side, dismissively. "... The petty aspects. They don't serve you well in any way, shape or form. I mean, I get why you're doing it now, but... ah, you know what I mean."
When Kayen pulled the gem out again, Ramen focused her attention on it. Despite her insistence that the gem was just an augment to her power, she couldn't help but think there was something a little off about it still. While she nodded along in response, her uncertainty was clear across her features. "I'm not entirely certain what biological differences led to me being able to develop power boosts without access to those -- monstrous transformations you and, to my knowledge, some aliens and even demons possess. But I can see wanting something in between your ordinary power and a giant rampaging oozaru. I'm still not entirely sold on it, and my point stands. But I'm glad to hear you're not using it as a crutch."
After a moment of thought, she dipped her head into a small nod of agreement to the point about another fight. "I'm always up to train, and I do think it would be a good idea to do a more physically-minded sparring match this time. 'Bashing each-other's faces in' isn't the most eloquent way of putting it, but I see what you're going for. I think it'd be a good way for me to figure out what your form is when you're not carting around that massive sword and see if you need any pointers." She smirked at that point. Kayen was older, more experienced, and probably a better fighter when it came right down to it. But that's not something she would ever admit out loud: quite the contrary, she needed to keep up a confident exterior. It was fun teasing Saiyans, anyways.
"Would that be the second date? Or maybe the third. I'm not sure if negotiations inside an ancient Namekian castle really counts..." she wrinkled her nose at that. "Which brings me to the point of why we're here. We need to talk about your obligations to Earth, as the co-ruler of the Kingdom and on the chance you become the sole ruler."

The idea of Ramen vaporizing the entire room was more amusing to Kayen than anything else, while she often took it over Vocado still kept most of his stuff in there due to how often they swapped, Kayen barely had anything to unpack meaning that ultimately that would really just result in her blowing away his stuff. The only downside was that considering she was telling her about this it made it FAR more likely if Ramen DID hit her boiling point it would be when Kayen had the room that she would strike. It still MIGHT be worth it though to see Vocado’s reaction. “It will take time before everything properly settles, the fact there is little else to occupy us is also probably encouraging me AND Vocado to be worse than we might normally be. Once this hunt is over I’ll be far more concerned with killing Arcosians to bother with him for the most part I imagine” Kayen said with a shrug, she was certain that she would not COMPLETELY drop the poking at Vocado during the recapture of Vegeta, but in all likelihood they would be handling different sectors. Kayen shrugged on the idea of what caused the differences between Ramen, and more generally Humans, and the more common transformations of other species, it was rather curious how little Humans were physically altered by their increases in power. Most often as far as Kayen knew it just boiled down to shifts in their internal energy and aura paired with increased muscle mass. “I’m mostly a brawler to be completely honest, I’ve got some general technical skill but I usually rely on using my size to my advantage” Kayen explained with a shrug seeing little reason to hold back the information from Ramen, they were allies and Kayen was already reasonably acquainted with Ramen’s fighting style, though seeing how she fought without pairing that style with energy based attacks would be quite interesting. “I’m sure we could figure SOMETHING fun to do here” Kayen said with a grin, though Ramen soon followed up with that the point of this meeting was far less fun than Kayen had hoped and instead intended for a discussion about Earth. “Fiiine, alright then, what exactly has Vocado agreed to about Earth?” In theory the peace pact between Vegeta and Earth forged after the last war was still in place, the Fleet had never actually been at the table for it meaning that when they took action nothing was broken, there was however a decent chance that Vocado had made some extra agreements with at the very least Ramen on his intentions with Earth.

It was hard for Ramen to predict how Kayen would react to the agreement that she and Vocado had agreed on, at least verbally. Some part of her wondered if Vocado even remembered it all that well. But it did no justice to her original purpose for joining the Kingdom if she was willing to just let it slip away at the first sign of a change in management. "In effect, the Saiyan Kingdom is bound to help protect Earth, especially against the World Trade Fleet. I'm not expecting the Kingdom to send half its army to help deal with internal problems, but when the Fleet shows up to try to make its mark--well, that's when the agreement really kicks in. And needless to say, that also means the Kingdom can't take aggressive action against Earth."
She paused just long enough to gauge Kayen's initial reaction to her comments, before pressing on. "That was the original agreement that saw me join the Kingdom in the first place. I needed to know that if I was offering my talents to what was at that point a foreign power, that I was at least going to be doing my due diligence in making sure that I wasn't leaving it unprotected." She stood back up, stepping over towards one of the windows. From this high up, the view of Namek was almost impressive -- were she not so sorely through with the planet after what felt like an eternity stuck there. She gestured out across the vista, though her point wasn't so much to indicate anything in particular.
"I've sort of ended up being pretty much... an honorary Saiyan ever since I came here, I think," she turned back to Kayen. "But if I plan to stick around, I need to know that you're not going to turn on Earth at some point down the line. Because no matter how much I like you, that would make us enemies. And I'd rather that not be the case, because I kind of like you." She managed a small smirk before resting back against the ledge of the window. "... and don't worry. Once you agree, I'm sure we'll have plenty of free time on our hands."

Kayen’s expression remained mostly neutral as Ramen gave her description of the deal set between her and Vocado. It was an interesting agreement, as far as she could tell it really WAS just a deal between Ramen and the Kingdom, not so much Earth and the Kingdom, it was simply that Ramen’s end of the deal required that the Kingdom aid Earth rather then her gaining any intrinsic benefits. Ramen got up as she continued walking over to the window as she spoke while Kayen remained where she was on the couch, her interests were in making sure that as long as she aided the Empire that she was not leaving Earth unprotected and was in fact actually bolstering its theoretical defenses. Now as long as the relationship between the Kingdom and Earth remained active Earth did not have to just rely on itself. “This deal, it is just between you and Vocado, correct? This was not a deal brokered by whoever rules the Earth at the moment right?” Kayen questioned though she was reasonably certain that she was correct “I ask mainly because if that is the case, I’m fine with the general concept of this agreement, you working with the Kingdom in order to ensure the Kingdom will aid Earth and leave it be.” “But I do have some clarifications that need to be made, which become more important if I am wrong and this IS an effort at an official agreement between Earth and the Kingdom. If this is just between you and the Kingdom then it stands with the clarification that if Earth takes aggressive action against US the we can and WILL fight back. I’m not foolish enough to think Earth could never pose a threat to the Kingdom if it decided to be. ” Giving Earth carte blanche ability to do what they wanted was idiotic and she had no interest in being ‘caught’ breaking a deal because the Kingdom sought to defend itself for being stabbed in the back.

"Nobody really rules Earth at the moment," Ramen answered with a small shake of her head. "There's a President, but I would hesitate to really put that much authority on him. It's a bit more democratic, so even if you were to sign a treaty with him there's no telling whether every little special interest group would actually see fit to back it. But no -- it's not between Earth and the Kingdom as such." Kayen was mostly right in her guess, but Ramen still took issue with her wording. "It's between me and the Kingdom," she emphasized. In her mind, this deal wouldn't be broken just because Vocado lost power.
The Saiyan's worries were somewhat understandable, but she just waved her hand dismissively in response to them. To her, they were non-issues that barely registered. "Of course if Earth starts trying to run you guys over, I'm not going to expect you to hold back. That goes without saying: if they break the peace and the tacit alliance that's existed for the past little while, honestly even preceding me given Earth gave refuge to the Saiyan exiles from Vegeta... then yeah. You're well within your rights to defend yourself." She rested back against the wall, hands set along the ledge of the open-air window. "The point is more that you can't decide to take action against Earth and break the peace yourself."
She allowed a moment of pause before another thought came to her. Deals were all well and good, but if the circumstances around them shifted, it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine one of the Saiyans would decide to try to change the terms. "-- And the kinds of action Earth would have to take to make me willing to permit action against them are pretty limited. If they attack the Kingdom or ally with the World Trade Fleet, something like that. But I don't want any Saiyans deciding to try to scorch the surface of Earth and massacre its population because someone cut them off on the road."
It was an extreme example, but there were a few Saiyans she could name off she suspected would be volatile like that. Her hope was that Kayen wasn't among them. "Either way, political power on Earth is pretty particular. Even if it was taken over by someone with an anti-Kingdom agenda, it wouldn't take a full-scale invasion to change that. So really, there shouldn't be any situation where the Kingdom is laying siege to my home. And if anyone does decide Earth is a nice target for some imperialism, then that person is going to end up with a hole punched through their chest."
She shrugged a shoulder. "To sum up. I'm loyal to the Kingdom so long as the Kingdom doesn't decide to ruin my home. But I'm also not about to let Earth take action against the Kingdom, so if they're really in the wrong, I'll do everything in my power to overthrow the ones causing the issue to return the status quo."

Kayen had never really bothered to try understanding Earth politics, it was all so much more convoluted and obnoxious compared to what she was used to, that the Earth’s technical ruler was in theory not actually capable of properly exerting control over the planet was a strange and abhorrent concept to her. She was pretty sure that was NOT how it had worked during the last war, was this another result of the peace time’s effects on Earth? Or perhaps Earth only chose to take the direct control route when it was absolutely necessary? That SORT OF fit with what she was starting to understand about Humans, they only got serious when actually pushed. Regardless it ultimately did not matter, the deal was, as it had seemed, between Ramen and the Kingdom. While it meant there would be no real wheeling and dealing to get Earth to make some concessions in order to balance things out it DID mean that ultimately there was less actual risk. Kayen only had to concern herself with Ramen when it all came down to it, Earth was just an extraneous factor that if necessary she would have to direct forces to protect if things got hairy for the Humans. She WAS rather curious what sort of reaction Ramen would have if Earth underwent some sort of internal strife, she claimed that under her agreement she did not expect the Kingdom to respond to such things but what if it pushed the planet in a direction she was uncomfortable with. Or that posed a potential risk to the Kingdom? It wasn’t something that needed to be brought up now, too many ‘what ifs’ and ‘could bes’ but it WAS something to keep an eye on for the future. Ramen clearly maintained a vested interest in Earth even if her loyalty seemed to ultimately fall with the Kingdom the ‘sacrifice’ of possibly conquering Earth was VERY easy in the face of the massive gain that was maintaining Ramen’s loyalty to the Kingdom. “Then we have no issues, you are ultimately far more important than the Earth, and frankly trying to poke THAT particular bear was the biggest mistake the Empire ever made” at least poking it when they were not truly ready to fight the bear “Earth can do whatever it wants as long as it doesn’t fuck with us. Once Vegeta is handled we can even see if it’s worth our time to make direct contact with Earth. Letting them know will probably keep them from getting antsy” Kayen said with a shrug giving the Dragon Ball another few spins. “As long as I’m in charge I’ll make sure to crack some skulls if anyone takes it upon themselves to mess with Earth after I make it clear it’s to be left alone. If things are going to plan Earth SHOULD have a decent protector in the wings anyway, I paid the Lookout a visit before I made my way here and encouraged the prospective Guardian to get her ass in gear to be able to protect the planet” A visit to Earth after this was all settled would be good, getting a chance to check in on the little Dragon’s progress would be good and a decent excuse to taunt her minder.

BREAK THE WALLS DOWN| Ramen's PL: 91,000 |
"You mean that little girl?" Ramen raised an eyebrow at the mention. She recalled helping rebuild the Lookout alongside Mollusc and a young girl who seemed to think it was her duty to take up a position there. She was hopeful that it would all turn out for the best, but she didn't exactly have a whole lot of faith that it would. To her recollection, the girl was fairly weak and didn't really seem to know much about her own duties: she couldn't even fly at the time. "I wouldn't really expect her to be the one to protect Earth, if we're talking about the same one. She has the same sort of problem that Tarch has -- that is, she's a little kid and it takes more than being able to use your ki to actually know what you're doing."
She crossed the room and settled back into her seat. Whatever the case was with the prospective 'Guardian' in question, she was at least relieved to hear Kayen was on the same page as her where Earth was concerned. The only real question now was what would happen if Ramen ever needed to leave the Kingdom for other reasons: if they went over the line too many times for her to stomach, or if they decided to turn themselves into a slightly prettier version of the World Trade Fleet. It was a distinct possibility, given so many Saiyans were practically salivating at the thought of Empire.
"I guess that's really all the negotiating we need to do. I wanted to make sure we were clear on that so we didn't have any awkward situations in the future. For now, though -- I guess we're free to move on to whatever else you had in mind." Her eyes fell on the Dragon Ball the Saiyan was spinning in her hand. She smirked faintly before adding, "--Oh. And I'm going to need that back before we leave here today."
