“Not her alone, I pushed her in the direction of getting personally stronger but also made sure she knew to seek out others as well, she’s also got a… minder? I don't know exactly what he’s supposed to be but he’s relatively strong so that’s another. The point was less to make her the sole source of defense for the planet and more to get things moving to encourage general power growth” Kayan said with a shrug spinning the Dragon Ball a few more times as she spoke, it was really unfortunate that these things were so huge, if they were smaller it would make keeping them hidden and thus of course safe, far easier. “Whatever I had on my mind? Be careful what you ask for” Kayen said with a grin before casting her glance back at the Dragon Ball, if it weren’t likely to cause an unnecessary amount of friction she might have been tempted to just keep the thing, it WAS after all one of the seven keys to the three wishes, making sure that she had one of them just ensured that Vocado or anyone else for that matter could not try anything sneaky. She hardly had a means of guaranteeing that whoever possessed the balls couldn't just fuck off and make a wish once the remaining two were located, the only thing stopping such an event was… well not much of anything, to be honest, she did not know Vocado well enough to know if she could trust him to not abscond with the set if he had enough of them, the only person she even had a vague amount of trust in was standing before her. She’d made a mistake before with letting her general lack of trust get in the way in regards to the red headed Human, perhaps this would serve as a test of sorts, if ever there was a time for the Human to benefit most from betraying what trust Kayen had in her this was most certainly it. “Why don’t you come take it from me?” Kayen questioned in what was likely SUPPOSED to be an innocent tone. Of course just because she planned to do something did not mean she would do it promptly, or without a bit of fun involved first.

Giving Kayen one of the Dragon Balls had been part of Ramen’s original plan in coming out here to begin with. In her mind, it would have been a good way to secure some sort of stability between the Kingdom’s two rulers. If each had some measure of responsibility over the Dragon Balls, then their cooperation would be a necessity. But given they couldn’t even handle the issue of who got the bigger bedroom without squabbling, her tune had to change. The potential benefits of forcing their cooperation in that way would likely be outweighed by the new dangers her having a Ball might pose. Vocado might be able to use his radar to track her down and preempt their eventual duel with a sneak attack, or she might decide to use it as leverage to try to gain a personalized wish that would be to the rest of the Kingdom’s disadvantage. It wasn’t that she thought that either would betray the other for sure, but at the end of the day, she didn’t entirely trust either of them enough to open that to possibility. At least, she didn’t trust them when it came to one another.
"Here, I thought were were getting along well,” Ramen replied with a dramatic sigh. It was rather clear what the Saiyan was getting at with her response, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t take a bit longer to react. After all, if Kayen was going to play games, then so could she. “I wasn’t really looking to challenge you for the Dragon Ball, but if you’re here looking for trouble…” she started to step over towards the woman, keeping her expression oddly sober for the circumstance. “You’re going to get way more of it than you can handle.”At that, Ramen leaned over to snatch the Dragon Ball in one sudden motion. She wasn’t going to leave much to chance here, trying to get it up and away from the other woman before she had a chance to really stop her. If she could get away with it, she would then tuck the Ball behind her back in much the same manner that she had done with the Saiyan’s sword before. But before she stood up, she leaned over with the intention of delivering a quick kiss to the half-Queen’s cheek. "Follow me," she rose away from the woman, turning to make her exit out of the castle at a painfully casual pace. "We're going on our second date. Just keep it a secret, hm?"

There was a rather glaring issue with Kayen’s ‘plan’ to try to play keep away with the Dragon Ball, and it was one that she had not quite realized until it was already too late. Laying on a couch was not exactly the best position for her to be in if she wanted to keep the massive artifact away from Ramen, even if only for a bit of fun, it completely negated her height advantage over the Human and even though her arms were long it was little difference when her ‘opponent’ had both full range of motion and was not so short that her own reach was less than a lounging Kayen. As such while Kayen made a token effort to raise the ball higher and away from Ramen at her sudden approach, while Ramen ALMOST sounded as if she was uninterested in a challenge Kayen had a feeling it was just an act and one Kayen was not about to fall for. Unfortunately identifying that did little to actually help the Saiyan as Ramen moved in close and snatched the ball out of Kayen’s hand before she could switch it to her other, slightly more free arm, it was plucked from her grasp with ease earning a sigh from Kayen “Chea-” Kayen began before she was cut off as instead of pulling back with the ball Ramen instead came closer once again and to Kayen’s surprise kissed her. Sure it was just on the cheek but it still caught the Saiyan off guard, by the time her brain caught up with the world around her Ramen was making her way out of the room, Kayen let out a chuckle as Ramen told her to follow along, it took a very brief internal fight for Kayen to toss out the notion of ignoring an ‘order’ sometimes it was perhaps worthwhile to follow along. Pushing herself up and off the couch Kayen pulled Fateburn free from the floor and made her way after Ramen “If you give me a good reason to I might” Kayen said as she caught up to her.

Ramen couldn't help but roll her eyes at the woman's response, starting to make her way down through the castle. It was a winding path to begin with, but her casual gait didn't exactly help. But soon enough, she found herself stepping down the main staircase and towards the entry hall, where the doors had been left wide open by whoever last entered. It might have been Kayen herself, but given the reputation of the castle for unsavory visitors of late, it might well have been Fleet thugs here to hold some sort of meeting on one of the upper floors. Either way, it didn't particularly matter to her now.
"Are you always this impatient?" she asked over her shoulder before she stopped near the doorway, a faint frown appearing as she caught another glimpse of beautiful, boring Namek. But the frown soon washed away as she stepped forward to continue her walk, clasping her hands behind her back as she went. "You can't expect me to just give away every little thing I plan just like that. That would just be so boring. But if you really need a reason -- well, do you really want to spend the rest of this meeting in what kind of amounts to Namek's most overpriced museum?"
She couldn't really deny the grandeur of the castle itself, but that was never really in question. Part of it might have been that Namek had left her restless and she wasn't keen to loiter in one spot for hours at a time, but the base also just seemed more hospitable for a more friendly meeting than the business one they had here. To that end, she kicked up into the air and looked to Kayen with an expectant gaze, expecting her to do the very same.
"There's an old saying that some wise person or another said about how you need to learn to follow if you want to be a great leader. I'm not entirely sure it applies to this, but--" she couldn't help but snicker under her breath. "Just humour me for now."

“I’m mostly just pushing my luck” Kayen said with a shrug as an amused smirk took hold of her features, was pay far less mind to their surroundings compared to Ramen, she had as far as she was concerned seen everything worth seeing around here upon her arrival, Namek was a strange place, it lay in a strange position right between pleasant and boring. It made Kayen vaguely curious what the planet was like during the war when it had a radically different sort of leadership. Would having the Mazoku Lord ruling over it be enough to make this place a bit more lively? He had apparently created the castle they were walking through with demonic magic, and the very fact they were aligned with the Saiyans would certainly have made this place interesting if only because they would be dealing with hostile Namekians. But would it have actually been any more lively? “Fine, fine. I suppose I can suspend my usual impatience for a bit longer” Kayen said with an exaggerated sigh and shrug before taking to the air following close behind Ramen curious as to where this was all leading.

After her painfully casual walk through the castle itself, it was quite the contrast once Ramen actually started to fly. Rather than take it slow, she flew at high speed on a straight trajectory for the Saiyan base nestled in the Outer Plait. It wasn't her top speed by any means, but it was still enough to leave most fighters clean in the dust. Kayen would have an easier time catching up, of course. "You push your luck quite a bit, don't you?" she asked with a quizzical glance over the shoulder. "You're lucky I'm such a patient and understanding person, you know."
The redhead smirked before looking away, focusing again on her trajectory. As expansive as Namek was, it wouldn't take long before the base was well within sight, at which point she put the brakes on and came to a halt. She drifted down to the ground, landing on a cliff overlooking the main town. "What's that saying? 'Home sweet home?'" she let out a quiet laugh. "I'm going to be grateful once I never have to set eyes on this place again. It feels like we've been here for years."There were a few warriors training in the main courtyard, but for the most part the base was quiet. Those who could fight were likely out on their daily patrols, others were training in seclusion, and some of the officers would likely be holding mid-day meetings by now. Although the quiet would have been a nice break almost anywhere else, here the silence was practically a trap: everything was quiet and still, and so the exact opposite came to be the most appealing. "We're going to have another fight," Ramen stated, before offering her hand to Kayen. "But that can wait until later. I don't want to waste another evening in the medical chamber when we've got more to get to."
Ramen will exit the thread (alongside Kayen) if acceptable!
