"Wait... Why would you be apologi-"
Ledinjin didn't think she had a need to apologize. He was considering that they meant he had to apologize for what he was doing! It was confusing. However, the rest wasn't so.
"I'm not trying to flaunt myself," Ledinjin retorted, crossing his arms, "Also, I do understand you guys. I understand the whole mentality about being betrayed by someone who cared for you and you them! It's how we all got on this planet... There's too much to cover..."
He was getting too tired from this. An offer for the snow cones was offered, but he wasn't sure if he should have one. However, he'd take one, to seat himself down at a curb with a hydrant behind and let cone rest in his hand. He spoke once more, "It's not control... It's to make sure you all are ready, when we're not on this planet and danger comes from your own. This whole thing with Satan City here is only to get you all ready, and that's not something we can wait on. You're decent folk, and it's what my family's been trying to achieve for hundreds of years for all the planet's in my home system, despite the history that's happened with our worlds in the past. I can't bare to see that horror from my planet's system come here and take it away..!"
It didn't make much sense speaking this aloud. However, to him, it was appropriate. He'd seen all sorts of acts against the Rebellion, committing acts against the WTF in kind to enable them that chance to get to where the Earth was at. Yet, he couldn't understand the reasons!

Tianum sighed- it was good to have Banshee backing up her. "Fair enough. More for me!" She'd briefly comment as her snack was politely declined, licking away at another sno-cone with her forked tongue. Ledinjin chimed in again, and she slowly breathed in. "They "betrayal" thing is not why we feel the way we do, ya'know." Her ears folded back, gaze cool and calm now. "It's how you've been holding yourself so much higher than all of us. It gives us- or me, at least- the impression that you don't want to hear our say. It makes them feel cornered- like they don't have a choice."
She explained her perspective with a sigh- Carro had gone on about his own, similar thoughts before. Ledinjin said he understood, but he didn't seem to figure out why this grudge between him and the Earth was still being held... "And that can be infuriating- when pretty much forced to follow something or someone you don't agree with without a single word, you don't want to listen. Why would you want to pledge loyalty to someone who doesn't give you clear trust or respect?"
"I'm not saying you don't trust people or hate everyone. It's just what it comes across as if my inkling is right." Tianum clenched a fist, glancing to the side. "A leader needs to rally not just their own, but everyone that can lend a helping hand. They need to instill hope- they need to push people forwards, not away." Such was a lesson she learned from her own boss. If Carro was good at one thing, it was pressing forwards and keeping his people with him. She could never see people like Van, Leo, Sulfur, Ima, or Lunatus ever leaving Carro's side even if he asked nicely. So far, it seemed Ledinjin might have had some trust from his own faction- but not many others held the same towards him now. "So... Case in point, your emotions and those of others aren't bad- don't dismiss them. People feel for good reason, usually. Let those feelings slide on by, and support others. You don't need to agree with everything everyone says, but you have to try to understand, to accept it and move on."
She reached forwards to put a hand on Ledinjin's shoulder, grinning warm. Things weren't all horrible right now, and she had to get that message across to the worrywat. Somehow, Led was even more catastrophic than Carro, so she found it time to give him the same little spiel she gave her own boss from time to time. "Things will be bad. They'll be the worst, sometimes- you know that already. Yet you're strong enough to keep pushing forwards in spite of everything and anything that's happened to you over all these years!"
She sighed, trailing her gaze away. "But you can't let EVERY worry get to you! If you keep telling yourself "If I don't do this, everything is doomed", you might just wind up destroying yourself. It's unhealthy, and I don't want you to also fall into the same atrocious sleep schedule Carro has! Just remember-" Tianum was called the team mom back at Crop Corporated for a reason. A grin spread across her face and her tail wagged to and fro. "-In the end, you're a pretty cool dude, I'm sure. All you need to do is properly show that good-guy-ness and work on not invalidating the thoughts and emotions of others, and you can be an even cooler leader." She flashed a finger gun, taking her hand off Ledinjin's shoulder with a wink.
"Now shaddup, have a snow cone, and let's take a break from stressing! That's an ORDER!" Ledinjin Frost | Banshee

TO TALK TERMS| Banshee's PL: 42,500 |
Banshee was again inwardly thankful that Tianum appeared to be the voice of reason in this discussion. As much as she had been a little skeptical at first at Carro's absence, she had to admit now that this woman was just as good. Maybe even better, given how tactful she was being with Ledinjin. And probably with her, too. She must have had some serious practice playing the role of older sister or something for Carro's company. Her speech was definitely targeted at the Arcosian, but it was a safe bet to say she had probably made it in the past.
"We always see things from our own point of view," Banshee raised, though she undermined the confidence in her voice with a sheepish shrug. "You have a very particular set of views and goals, and you think what you're doing is right. It annoys you that other people don't see it the same way. I understand why that annoys you. But that's just how people are. It's easy to sort of -- tunnel-vision in on your own principles and not take enough time to consider other people's positions. Maybe I'm doing some of it myself, but--"
"From my own point of view, I've struggled with the... moral question. Returning from the dead takes something from you each time you do it, and the person I am now is probably unrecognizable to the person I was before. But whatever crimes I've committed and whatever little sprinkling of good I've managed, I've been alive -- er... around, at least, for over three-hundred years. You've seen a lot, but so have I. And that's why I get nervous sometimes when you talk with all the certainty and necessity in the world about things that a lot of us aren't exactly comfortable with."
She offered a weak bow of her head and took a pace back, ceding the floor back to Tianum. She was trying to move this conversation away from 'stress', and so those would be her final statements on the matter. At least unless there was more to dispute later on. At this point in time, it didn't really seem like their differences would be solved over snowcones. But at least they could form the basis of a relationship to work them out later.

Well, these two certainly had a lot to talk into Ledinjin's noggin. Tianum was sort of flip flopping back and forth trying to explain what Ledinjin ought to do, in a sort of motherly tone. However, Ledinjin understood where she was going with this! It was just weird.
Banshee's choice of words, however, were strangely more understandable. Morality was her focus, using her own personal experience that numbered triple Ledinjin's own life to tell him to give people time to understand, and them time as well! She admitted to nervousness to him.
"I make you nervous," Ledinjin questioned, raising a carapace eyebrow, "I... Am a bit confused at how?"
She backed up from them. That answered the question. He frowned deeply to this. He raised his free hand, saying, "I see..."
Tianum's words were meant to get Ledinjin relaxed, but Banshee's? He related too much, and it was troubling. He looked at the snow cone for a moment, the ice trickling down slightly his hand. Ledinjin felt like couldn't adhere to Tianum's advise. His entire life was wrapped up by the WTF, that insatiable beast brewed by his ancestor's neglect of strong enough action.
"I," he said with a delay, "Don't... Know if..."
He became silent. They were confusing him and his brain was having difficulty processing it. His gaze glossed over, fixated on the slowly melting snow cone. They were supposed to be taking an initiative forward, yet it became about... Stress and how he was trying to bring progress forward was too much? Was this some part of Earth's culture that shouldn't have been touched or something?

Tianum's gaze sunk again as she folded her arms. "Aw, c'mon. What's one break day in the grand scheme of things?" She tapped her toe. "You need to treat yourself, too! I'm not going to let you keep working yourself to the bone for every hour of your life." She sighed, finishing up her own sno cone now. "You can keep working and doing whatever, but you need to sometimes take a step back to take a break and appreciate the good instead of tunneling on the looming doom and gloom and all, y'know." She tried to explain. Carro was a lot like that- he'd work himself way too hard when something was really bothering him. She felt him giving that air as of late, but whenever she asked him what was wrong, he'd just scurry off and say it was nothing. Usually he was willing to scream and vent, but...
Regardless, Tianum found the same apprehension in Ledinjin. Every second counted, Carro would say. What if this bad or that horrible possibility thing happened now? Would they be prepared? "Just... trust me when I say everything will be alright in the end. There's gonna be bad times, but I'm sure we'll be happy after all this is over." She grinned again. She wasn't sure what "all this" was and when it'd be over, but her optimism remained strong regardless.
A buzz caught the Doragon's attention, and she was quick to dig into her pocket and take out her ZPhone. "Oh hey, he finally texted back." A message from Carro? Took him long enough to wake up from his spontaneous nap.
> awake now mostly > tia i just saw i got an email from led > im VERY LATE WHY WASNT THIS PLANNED IN ADVANCE > how should i reply pls help
"Annnnd there he goes." She clicked her tongue. The others could take a peek at the messages if they were so inclined as the Doragon was quick to send a response back to her boss.
> I've got it, meeting with them now. You're missing out on snacks. > oh thank cripes > also you better save some snacks for me you clod > Get some water and I'll think about it, nerd. Stay hydrated. > but does coffee count
Tianum sighed, clicking her phone off. "Yeeeaah, if there's nothin' else we should talk about, I should probably get back to work soon. We've got to work on some things for the Presidential Debate soon- very important stuff, long story short." She had a lot to pester her boss about, and other odd jobs to do around the headquarters. It felt like she was the only voice of reason there, sometimes...
