Let's Get Buff! Karon's PL: 4,000
After meeting the young ogre, Yanwang, some time ago, Karon had decided to take him under his wing. He hadn't told the boy that much, of course. He seemed pretty independent, and probably wouldn't take well to being treated like a little brother. Did Yanwang even have a family? He seemed to wander around by himself a lot, and Karon had never directly asked. Regardless, he figured a friend would do the kid some good and, selfishly, he was tired of hanging around his boring, tight-laced, office-drone peers all day.
To both those ends, he invited Yanwang out to his training grounds, in the woods just outside the town where he worked and lived. They could only go get ice cream so many times before it got old, after all. So he would teach his junior to fight, instead! The round little ogre would probably develop a much different fighting style than tall, lanky Karon, but he could at least get him started and show him the ropes. He arrived at the training area a little bit before he'd told Yanwang to get there, so he could prepare.
The place was trashed. The last time he'd been out here, he'd gotten his ass handed to him, by a human teenager no less, and it had left a few of his training dummies in pieces, plus splintered a few of the trees. He'd left everything where it lay, and resolved to deal with it 'later'. But the next day, he'd gone off to Earth to hunt ghosts, and once he'd come home, weeks later, he'd forgotten about it. In the time he'd been gone, grass had started to grow over the fallen dummies. They were only wood and cloth, after all. Karon grumbled to himself, and sat down on the ground to begin weeding his training grounds, and finding out what was salvageable and what wasn't. This is how Yanwang finds him when he arrives: completely and utterly unprepared.

Yanwang got invited into Karon training ground to do some super training. He was pretty excited actually. It was outside of the normal area in some nice old woods. Yanwang bounced around, maybe he could get a good spar in. He’d get super duper strong so he could stop the villains once he returned. When he arrived he was less than impressed. It was run down and beat up. He thought this guy had a real dojo? Not this broken down husk of a place. He was not surprised, this was the afterlife. Most people were not training since they were going to be dead forever. He decided not to be too hard on the Ogre. He’d smile “Hey Karon how are you doing.” He’d then look at himself. Maybe he should get some training gear on. He’d pull his Fujin bag over him. “Hold on.” In a flash, he’d change his clothes before pulling out a massive weight from his Fujin Bag . “So what type of training are we going to do first, Mr. Karon.” He’d smile at him wondering what they were going to do. This was going to be really fun! Powerlevel:63,000

Karon jumped a little when Yanwang called his name. Was it time already? He'd spent longer than he'd thought trying to clean up his training grounds, and didn't have much to show for it. The place still looked a mess. The taller ogre hopped to his feet and dusted himself off, "Oh! Yanwang, hey. You're, uh, prompt." He let out a long breath and looked around the clearing. There wasn't a lot that would be useful for the two of them to train with.
"Sorry about all this. A human kid came through and fought with me last time I was here, and we kinda wrecked the place. I forgot about it 'til now." Karon scratched his head and shrugged. He'd rather everything be put together properly, but he still didn't sound too bothered, "You could just fight me, I guess, but I'm kinda tall for a sparring partner."
He was still mulling this over when Yanwang pulled a giant weight from his bag. That made his eyebrows raise. Karon had a magic pocket inside his suit jacket, where he kept his sword, so the idea of a container with a larger inside than an outside wasn't strange to him. He just didn't know the other ogre had one, "Oh, hey! That's handy. What else have you got in there? Maybe we didn't need my crap at all."

Yanwang looked up as Karon told him how a human kid had come and wrecked this place. "Hah was it Nashi, Yogu or someone else? Cause if you think their tough you'd not meet me yet." He was kinda worried the Ogre may not be as tough as he thought. Afterall he did have a job. Everyone who had jobs didn't have time to get strong. That was something he learned from his own experience. He never worked a day in his life and he was mega strong. Community service was different, he did that before but that was out of his control. Jobs were a choice. He notes he could just fight him. "That could be fun. Maybe I can teach you a few things." He'd say as he put down the weights. "Or maybe you'll teach me." He'd grin more, he did like he was going to spar with another ogre.
"Oh, this?" Karon seemed to want to know about his Fujin Bag. "That is a long and illegal story. You can't tell people about me." Yanwang explained as he'd flip the bag around. "This Bag was in King Yemma great vault. This is the Fujin Bag. It can create anything the users want to image and absorb incoming attacks. It is really handy and I use it all the time with my fighting style. Though I began to learn how to do it from my left hand too." He'd put the bag down opening his left palm. Then he'd focus his ki as he turned his left-hand black. With his right hand, he'd pull out a small rubber ball. Then the black energy disspeared. "See this is pretty cool right." He'd smile at Karon. He had to think his powers were pretty awesome right?

He blinked down at the smaller ogre in surprise, "Oh, uh. Yogu. I'm pretty sure Nashi isn't human...at least not entirely. I don't know a lot about humans, but I know they don't usually have..." he paused to wiggle his fingers over his head, in a simple imitation of cat ears, "Anyway, yeah. Yogu came out here and kicked my ass, it was pretty impressive. Oh," He paused again, and rubbed the back of his neck, "Can I swear around you? Or should I say 'butt'? How old do kids have to be before it's okay to swear?" Karon was starting to think that maybe he wasn't the best role model.
The 'Fujin Bag', as Yanwang called it, was apparently stolen from the vault of King Yemma himself. Karon wasn't sure he believed that, kids liked to tell tall tales, but he didn't see any harm in humoring him, "Weeell, I should really report any thefts to the appropriate authorities. On the other hand, internal affairs isn't my area. I'm just a ghost hunter and seeing as how you and your bag aren't ghosts, your secret is safe with me, kiddo." He gave Yanwang a grin and conspiratorial wink.
He watched as the younger ogre concentrated his ki into one hand, and then pulled a rubber ball out, seemingly without having to use the bag. It was interesting, at least. Karon sunk down into a low stance, with one hand in a fist at his side and the other held in front, open-palmed, "That's a neat trick, but you'll need more than toys to win a fight. You say you're tougher than that Yogu guy? Then c'mon, hit me with your best attack. Let me be the judge."

Yanwang nodded, "Nashi is well wired." Yah he thought Nashi was human but he was like a cat thingy. Maybe he was a human who shacked up with a cat. He heard of hybrids before. "anyway it does not matter that much." Yanwang shrugged, "He is not here right now and he is human in some regard I think." He'd then looked back as Karon said Yogu had beaten him before. "Oh well, Yogu is pretty strong. Not as strong as me but pretty close." He'd smile, maybe Yogu was stronger with that crazy spirit dude but he was not going to worry about that. Karon didn't need to know he was weaker than him. Then he asked if he could swear around him. "Of course I don't mind." He'd smile at Karon agian.
He'd frown at Karon as it made it clear he'd not say anything. He grinned and winked at him. Maybe he was lying at him. He was unsure but still. He had no reason to trust him for sure. It was his job afterall. Still, Karon had not done anything to make him think he would do that. So he decided to leave it be. Course now the dude wanted him to throw his strongest attack. "Ok." He'd cock his fist back as his body pumped up. "Justice Punch." His Left hand was coated in the black energy again before lighting sparked off. He'd bring his body back then thrust himself forward aiming to bring his hand right into Karon stomach for a devastating gut punch.

"You shouldn't announce the name of yo--" Karon began to speak, but then all the air was knocked out of him by a punch to the gut from an 11-year old boy. His body was sent flying backward, through the forest and between the trees. As he sailed on, he didn't feel particularly upset or even really surprised. The only thought that crossed his mind was, 'Not this again.'
There was a loud -thunk- as he hit a tree trunk, followed by a softer one when he fell to the ground a second later. Karon lay there in a heap and didn't bother to move. He was well outside the clearing he used as a training area, but not so far away that he couldn't see Yanwang. His whole body ached, even though he'd only been hit once. The pain centered around his stomach where he'd been punched, but the energy behind it had radiated into the rest of him. A little kid shouldn't have power like that. Was it that bag? Maybe there was more to it than he'd thought.
Or maybe, as much as he hated to admit it, he'd gotten soft. Years of only fighting weak ghosts wasn't exactly good training. Karon used to be a force to be reckoned with, a pretty good swordsman that could hold his own. Now...he was getting one-hit by kids and teenagers. He sighed. There was only one thing to do about it: put his nose back to the grindstone and train.
Karon began to push himself to his feet. As soon as he moved, his vision went dark around the edges, and he only had to get out a soft "Aw fuc--" before he collapsed back against the tree, eyes shut. He was out.
Some absurd damage % I don't even know Naptime for Karon

He'd felt the impact of his fist On Karon's body. He watched as he was sent flying back. Guess he really hit him too hard. He'd walk over to check on him as he tried to get up but he fell over. Yanwang then ran over, he really knocked him out. He thought this guy was stronger. Yanwang knew he could pack a punch but how the ogre was talking he was pretty tough himself. He had no idea he'd knock him out in one punch. Unless Yanwang reached some new level of power. He flexed a bit. He felt the same as normal. Nothing different. He clearly he was not stronger. So this guy must have been between not that strong or a pushover. "Ok well, what should I do." He'd walk over rubbing his chin.
He'd finally come up with something to do. First, he'd grab Karon carrying him over to place him down somewhere that was not laying next to a tree trunk. Then He'd draw his Fujin Bag. Magic energy swirled around his bag as he'd pull out a whole table. He'd place it down wiping the sweat from his forehead. He usually didn't pull things that big form his bag. Then from his bag, he'd pull out a couple of Ice packs which he'd put on his chest. If that had knocked him out then he must have been a lot of pain. Then he'd form a water bottle from his bag after that. "K come on wake up hopefully your not dead." He'd say as he poured the water on the man trying to wake him up. Whether or not that worked he'd sit down on the ground after. He felt bad for knocking out Karon out but hopefully, he'd be able to wake up and forgive him.

Karon didn't stir when Yanwang picked him up and laid him out in the clearing. The sensation of cold ice on his chest brought him back to consciousness somewhat. He didn't open his eyes, but he was vaguely aware of someone -- Yanwang, he assumed after a moment -- moving beside him. But he still hurt from that devastating punch, and the cool of the ice packs felt good, so he wasn't inclined to move or wake up the rest of the way. Until he got water dumped on his face.
He sat straight up and sputtered, flailing his arms around and nearly smacking Yanwang in the face. The ice packs tumbled down into his lap, and he blinked hard a few times to take in the scene before him. Yanwang sat there next to him, with a table and an empty bottle of water. They were in the clearing of the forest, not where Karon remembered landing. The kid must've been trying to take care of him after knocking him out. That was kind of sweet, honestly. Yanwang had a worried look on his face, so Karon smiled at him and set a hand between the smaller ogre's horns to ruffle his hair, "Sorry for the scare, kiddo. Guess I thought I was sturdier than I actually am."
Karon took a moment to press against his own stomach and chest, around where Yanwang had punched him. It stung, and he quickly picked the ice packs up to set them back in place, but nothing felt out of place or broken. He'd just wake up with a hell of a bruise the next morning, but he was okay. Embarrassed, but okay. He sighed and gave Yanwang a once-over. The kid was strong, stronger than he had any right to be at his age. Was he just some sort of prodigy, or was something more going on here?
"Yanwang, listen," Karon's voice took on a much more serious tone than the other ogre would have ever heard him take, "And tell me the truth, okay? I'm not gonna be mad at you no matter what you answer. Can you punch like that because you're just that strong, or does that bag make you more powerful?" He hadn't believed the Fujin bag was anything more than a fun trinket at first, and that Yanwang's story about it had been just a story. But now that he was still reeling from one hit, he reconsidered.

He'd look over as Karon almost hit him. Guess he had woke up. He was glad he didn't die or anything. Still, if he had hit him in the face maybe he would have had to reconsider that. Yanwnag shook his head. "You're ok. That is good I was worried for a moment guess I don't know my own strength." Yanwang rubbed his hair a bit. He explained he thought he was a bit tougher than he actually was. "It is ok Karon. Honestly, I think the same thing all the time." Yanwang said to him as he rubbed his nose a bit. After a bit of science, Karon spoke agian. He seemed pretty serious. He'd gulp. Maybe he was going to get in trouble for really hitting him too hard.
Then he asked about his bag. If the bag made him more powerful. He'd blink a few times. "I mean I could move just as fast. Hit just as hard. Plus I got my portal hand thing now. I don't know if I even need the bag or what it is. Just happened one day you know." He'd rub his chin trying to think. "Just one day I learned how to do it. Like I just wake up my hand is all dark and it connects to the bag. It was really wired honestly. Some odd magic or something." Yanwang said as he pulled up his shirt. "Plus I been training hard." The shirt went over his head as his chest was exposed. He has been training so he actually was looking well built. Well as well build as an 11-year-old was going to look. After a bit, he put the shirt down. "I have been training a lot. Guy Koban. He was like a role model I meet on Earth. But I could never beat him. Came back stronger than ever but he was gone. It is like every time I get close to someone they die. First, it was my dad now Koban. So I gotta be stronger so that it won't happen every agian." He'd said with great determination but also a hint of anger. He could not imagine himself failing. If he did what would he do?

He stayed quiet and simply nodded along as Yanwang explained it all to him. He'd be strong and fast even without the bag, but it had definitely changed him somehow. Waking up one day with dark energy inside your hand sounded like bad news to Karon. Whatever this Fujin bag was, it seemed dangerous. Maybe it had been locked up in Yemma's vault for good reason. Karon didn't say any of that just yet, though, he didn't want to alarm Yanwang. The younger ogre was blissfully unaware of his worries and continued on talking, pulling up his shirt to show off his muscles. Karon's eyebrows raised in surprise. He looked pretty strong, for a chunky little kid. He really hadn't been kidding about the training.
Yanwang mentioned that Koban guy again, and Karon found himself wishing he could've met the guy. The kid seemed to really look up to him. Maybe he'd run into him someday, but Otherworld was a big place. Then he mentioned his dad, and Karon's expression crumpled. 'Every time I get close to someone, they die.' Even for someone like the lanky blue ghost-hunter, for whom death was a reality of his job, those words hurt to hear, especially from someone so young. Kids should only have to worry about homework, or sports, or trading cards, not people dying. He ran a hand through his hair and breathed a heavy sigh. What was he supposed to say to that?
"Look, kid..." Karon said at length, and set a hand on Yanwang's shoulder, "Getting stronger is a great goal and all, but...people are going to die. I know that sounds really insensitive but it's the truth. It happens to pretty much everyone, and it sucks, but...it's also not your fault. Sometimes bad things happen, and there's nothing you can do about it." he looked away and winced at his own words, "...Kais, that sounded real depressing, huh? My point is just that it's not you. I don't think anyone died just 'cause they knew you, y'know?"
He gave Yanwang's shoulder a pat, cleared his throat awkwardly, and stood up, "Anyway, uh. If I haven't rained on the parade too much, I'd still like to see some of the training that got you all those muscles. You've gotta have a secret technique, right? Just go easy on me, alright, I'm delicate." Karon spoke in a light tone and smiled down at him to try and lighten the mood, but it was obviously a bit forced.

Yanwang felt a hand rest on his shoulder. Yanwang looked up confused at Karon. He noted that people would die. He frowned, “Yeah I know that but not before their time. People die when they are ready to die. Not before or after.” Yanwang tried to explain but he fell silent after to hear Karon out. He didn’t agree with him since he thought he could save them if he was strong. But he decided not to argue about it. He’d nod along then shrugged. Karon seemed to change his tune. He wanted to train instead. Focus on that. He'd let his body get smaller as he stopped using his power up state. "Alright." He'd leap back putting up a stance, "Ready when you are Karon." He'd call out. "But my special techquine is for defense not offense so..." Yanwang explained to Karon. Not sure how much he could help with that.

Karon pushed himself to his feet with another sigh. He could tell he hadn't gotten through to Yanwang, but he honestly hadn't expected to. He didn't know how to be comforting or inspiring, or anything like that. Karon was a jaded ghost hunter, and Yanwang was a bright-eyed idealistic young man. Of course they wouldn't see eye to eye. It would be better to move on instead of dwell on it.
Yanwang got into a fighting stance, and Karon scoffed a bit, "Defense, huh? So you want me to hit you?" The older ogre took a moment to look around his mess of a training ground. Most of it was wrecked, but he was able to find a wooden practice sword by the base of a tree after a minute of searching. He spun the sword around in his hand once, then sunk down into a low stance of his own, "Alright! Just remember you asked for it." He had a feeling Yanwang's defenses were probably too strong for him to do much of a dent if that punch was any indication, but he had fun acting all smug anyway. His eyes sparked bright blue for a second, and then his energy flared up to twice what it had been. A glow came over the wood of the training sword, the same blue as his eyes, and Karon grinned before rushing forward. He was fast, and in a blink he was right in front of Yanwang, swinging the training sword in a deliberate strike.

He was glad Karon was in good spirits now. He'd watch him grab a sword to use against him. This would be fun. Still, he didn't have exactly enough ki to use his move. Maybe he'd just use the weakest version. If Karon though he was using his strongest attack and realized how outmatched he was then maybe he'd feel even worse. Guess Yanwang was feeling a bit of pity. He'd drop his Fujin Bag. He'd do it with his hand at least though. So Karon knew he didn't need the bag to defend himself. Afterall, he had asked earlier if it was the bag that made him so strong. He'd form black energy over his left hand. He'd go to catch his sword with his hand. He'd be able to do so but it stung a lot. It was as if his defensive techquine was weakened somehow. "That was not half bad." Yanwang rubbed his right hand. "See I use my hand to connect to my Bag. So when you struck your sword when into the pocket world. Something like that anyway. I don't really understand how it works for sure. You're not bad at all Mr.Karon." He'd smile at him hoping to keep him happy.

The older ogre took a couple hops backward after his attack hit, and grinned. He got the feeling the kid was humoring him somewhat, but that was okay. So long as it could take his mind off of his father and Koban and whoever else he'd lost. He spun the wooden blade around in his hand once more and hopped back and forth on the balls of his feet to keep nimble, "Pocket world, huh? So the force goes through you and ends up somewhere else? In the bag, I guess? But what's the limit? And what's stopping you from getting sucked in yourself?" Karon frowned as he wondered this aloud. The thought of the young ogre alone in the dark pocket world of the bag was disturbing, to say the least.
He quickly shook the thoughts from his head, "Anyway, that last move. It's a little energy trick. You release your ki the second after your blow hits, instead of at the same time. There's a brief window between when a person blocks and when they can react again, and that's when you strike. It's tricky to get the timing right, but once you do, it's really useful. Watch," Karon leaped forward to strike Yanwang, in the exact same manner as before, fully intending for the younger ogre to block him. If he was paying attention, he'd feel a pulse of energy just following the sword strike. Karon would step back again afterward with a smile, "See? You could apply that to your punches, too. Fight smarter, not harder, that's my philosophy."
Continuing with non-KP moves if that's okay, since we pretty much established the difference between their power levels.
