Live Action Riot Party

In the chilly weather of the fall, it was tradition for the nerdiest of nerds to assemble their greatest belongings. Some of them brought swords, axes, cloak, and staves, others bring books, dice and rule books, but their location is all the same. A large, empty park, saved with a reserved spot for the thousands of cars loaded with people wanting to engage in the mighty act of combat like their fantasies always foretold. Crowds of men, women and children ran around with character sheets and weapons of all varieties, running up to cars with merchants dressed to fit the part, selling instruments and gear that anyone may have left at home. It was a gather that took years to plan and even more to build up. It was peak perfection.
Amongst the crowd was an unlikely member, a Doragon who had know the shadows his entire life. Now, he stood in the sunlight, wearing studded leather with a sword strapped to his back rather than daggers on his waist. His handgun was replaced with a crossbow, which had arrow tips made of feather bags, as to not seriously hurt any player shot by it. He stood with a group of players dressed in heavy armor or robes with fantastic colors, each with packs holding their many items. As the group bantered on, a group of robed people walked forward, and as if by some magical force, everyone fell silent.
“Greetings one and all to the first ever Live Action Riot Party!” One of the figures shouted, and with it, the players went wild. Conversation struck up for a few minutes before the army of nerds came to silence to let the man continue. “Here, we have many game masters!” The black cloaked leader gestured to others around him before making motions to the crowd. “Some stand before you, others in your crowd. You can identify them with a patch on their right shoulder.” The army of cloaks turned sides and revealed a patch on their right shoulders, the same one Cobane donned on his shoulder “You all should know the rules, and if you don’t ask your game masters when you find them! You all have unique geographical locations and all groups are welcome to fight in any location you find necessary.”
“Another thing I should mention is that while some of you are immensely powerful, you must realize who you are fighting. People in a group may range from a power level of three to three thousand. Please, for the sake of safety, restrict yourself from going all out unless the GM sees it valid.” The leader lowered his hands to his sleeves, matching them perfectly into one another to seem like an ancient mage once more. “You are free to continue your day.” The group turned, walking away, leaving the thousands of players to start their hikes to their locations.
Meanwhile, Cobane stood behind, holding a list with some names and appearances. He was to wait for his group before he could start moving on, making sure they had their equipment, character sheets, and list of spells, provided they needed them. The only problem was… he only had names, and half of them were illegible, the other half were people he’d never heard of, sometimes a mixture of the two. As Cobane tried to scan over the sheet, he hoped that the GM board’s description of him was accurate enough, being that he was the only Red Scaled Doragon dressed in padded armor there.

RULES OF THE GAME
While you may have worked hard to earn your current status of power, this will be a more writing focused combat system rather than following actual mechanics, so please be gentle to the NPCs.
You may use elements for a 3rd level character 5e D&D sheet for your characters skills, and while they won't follow any mechanics, they will provide boosts to help you in different scenarios.
Skill checks shall be done by rolls in SECRET! You do NOT automatically fail or succeed checks, though you can forcibly fail one.
For the love of god, no killing!
