It was late at night. Yanwang didn't really have anywhere to sleep. The ogre had been running around all day pretending to be Santa. It was the third day he had done it. So he needed to go rest somewhere. He'd walk into a park. He'd reach into his Fujin Bag. He'd form a bed mat and a blanket. Hopefully, no one would bother the little ogre. He'd yawn and he rubbed his eyes. "Man i'm really tired. Doing this really drains me. I really should find a better place to find to sleep. Yet, I don't know where else. This park no one should be around so I'll be left alone. He'd go into the bed and go to sleep. Being so tired he'd fallen asleep right away. He'd twitch around in bed as he sleeps letting out long and loud snores as he slept.

Base Power level as of thread: 2,850 Perma trans PL: 5,700 A brim and dark night it was, the most wonderful time in the eyes of a demon- the only light being that of the moons and the cold airs brushing against one's flesh. Not many people were out this late- yet some souls seemed to wander for one reason or another. Here at a commonplace park, was one of those souls. An ogre without a home, sleeping in it's own sleeping bag in the middle of the grass. The creature of course did not ever expect to be stirred and unless it was some mischievous hooligan looking to cause trouble, why would anyone? Though that seemed to be the case- there were demons in this world that had other reasons to investigate certain organisms, especially ones they were already familiar with.
Demons that wanted to learn more about an unfamiliar plane or to reach places beyond the realm they were in or to return from whence they came.
Funny thing about Ogre's...they smelled just like something from beyond the human realm. And it was at that moment a dark figure stood behind the collapsed ogre in it's slumber. The figure's yellow eyes standing out among the darkness looking upon the ogre with that expression of hers she always wore.
"I know that smell anywhere..." she would say out loud to herself. Before the ogre knew it, the demon had scooped up it's tired body, that is- if it remained asleep and let the outworlder rest it's head upon the demons lap, as she rested against a tree, simply watching the ogre. "Take all the time you need...I'm in no rush..." She would say before keeping her beady eyes on the resting ogre- sitting for as long as it was asleep awaiting the moment it would wake up and her investigation could begin.

Yanwang rolled around in the bed. He'd began to suck his thumb as he sat in the bed. He was dreaming of victory. Yemma being defeated as he ruled over the otherworld. Everyone would be returned to life, all his bodies would have no fear of death. It was perfect. Yet, as he dreamed of this he heard something far distinct from the dream. A voice. He'd let out a groan. Someone was close by. He'd open his eyes looking up at the demonic lady above him. Why did somebody have to go ruin his nap? He'd take his thumb out of his mouth as he'd look over at her. He was still really tired as he rubbed his eyes. He'd then let out a long yawn. "What do you want lady," Yanwang asked, hoping it was something he could get done fast so he could back to sleep. He was really tired

To Preta's surprise the Ogre would wake up before she could finish her set up- with that being the case she had no choice but to allow him back onto the ground- albeit gently. The Dark Princess would chuckle at the Ogre's words, keeping that same smile and facial expression she always wore. "Ah, did you have to go and wake up? Really I was honestly just fine with waiting- but if you wouldn't enjoy my terrible company I suppose I can get right to the point..." She started pressing a finger against her lips, her bright eyes would glow through the swift night -steady on the Ogre beneath her.
"I'm well aware of your species, an Ogre! perhaps you don't immediately recognize what I am...but that's not important, so why don't you tell me-...do you currently possess the ability to travel between worlds?" She would tilt her head with the question. "That is, the mortal plane and the...afterlife you call it? You must be REALLY knowledgeable about those other worlds...and how it is exactly you manage to travel between them so freely- you see, Ogre...ah! How unironically impolite of me, I usually never forget to do this..." She would place a hand on her chest- shutting her eyes briefly before opening them and introducing herself to the Ogre she decided to stalk this night.
"I am Princess Preta! It's hostile to meet you, Ogre and I have a dream that I need you to help me realize- or should I forever search for some odd miracle to help me achieve this goal where I don't even know to start looking otherwise without the help of someone such as...well, you~"

The demon made it know that she didn't mind waiting. "Ok lady. Are you on a watchlist. You know i'm a little kid right. That some creepy stuff. I'll make sure to tell King Yemma about that when I get back." He'd yawn agian blinking a few more times. Then she began to ask some dumb questions. She knew he was an ogre then why ask if he could not teleport between the mortal realm and the afterlife. "Yah I can. Can't do it all the time since I got to gather my energy but of course I can. I'm Yanwang!" He'd say flipping to his feet. Now he was awake and ready to chat. She then decided to introduce herself. She called herself Princess Petra. "If you're a Princess I must be a Kai." He'd say rolling his eyes. Being a Princess would not impress him. Expect if she actually was one, but he doubted that. She explained she had a dream he needed to help her do. "Ok. How about you tell me what that would be and I can see what I can do." Yanwang said as he wrapped the blanket around him. It was pretty cold.

The curiously persistent demon would chuckle at the first response of the ogre, it was an ignorant laugh- as she didn't really understand what he was trying to say. "Ahahahaha!...Watch list? and YOU are a kid? I'm not sure if that was supposed to be some kind of joke- but it was funny either way because I don't really understand what that has to do with anything!" She swept a crocodile tear from her eye after she ceased laughing at the inclination of the Ogre. The Demon wasn't surprised to hear the younger demon was able to actually traverse the many or few worlds between the human realm and the others- but it was nice to hear it from his mouth, she'd of been a little ticked off had he said he couldn't- not at him persay, but why wouldn't an Ogre be able to do something like that unless they weren't an actual Ogre? At any case, Preta learned that the Ogre's name was Yanwang- quite an interesting name if Preta's opinion were to be considered.
It seemed despite her...peculiar visage Yan didn't believe the woman before him was an actual princess! It bothered her a bit that her word wasn't taken at face value- but even so the demon didn't let the remark get to her. "Ahahaha...do I not look like a princess to you?...well, either way it's fine- I guess since I'm not in the demon realm my true status doesn't matter to someone like an Ogre..." She'd shut her eyes for a moment as she sunk into thought 'for now at least, I happened to actually like people knowing I'm royalty, I keep a short list of friends...don't think this realm should be any different' She told herself within the depths of her demonic mind.
While she was thinking of how she could increase her clout in this realm that didn't belong to her she heard the Ogre accept her request!...kind of, he said he claimed that he'd see what he could do after hearing her so called dream. "Ah! how awfully polite! very well, Sir Yanwang, sssnap!" She'd flick her fingers against each other manifesting a teapot and two sets of teacups, one for her and of course one for the Ogre. The tea would put itself into each cup- should Yanwang actually take the floating cup and try the tea he'd come to find that it was INCREDIBLY sweet, you probably wouldn't be too far off if you assumed that it was more sugar than it was actual tea.
Before speaking, Preta would take a large sip of her sugary hot tea, letting out a sigh of relief at the taste. "I came to this realm completely by choice you see, but my parents left me with a few words of wisdom- that being that I'd basically find some form of enjoyment here...I'm not sure how much you know about Demon kind but what these earthlings and myself find "enjoyable" are...very different" She'd look at a flower in the grass and stare at it until it quite literally died- it wasn't as if there weren't flowers in the demon realm- it was just tradition to stomp on or ruin them.
"Now, don't get me wrong! It's not like I want to leave just yet- but I need to explore more! and the next step after this realm would be the so called Afterlife...Hell, and heaven- and whatever in between! I could even meet this...King Yemma you spoke of?" Preta proceeded to lean forward raising an eyebrow. "Is it possible for you to take me there? and if not is there anyway ANYWAY at all besides sacrificing my own life that I too could traverse freely through the realms as you do?"

She seemed to like what he had to say. Though he didn't know why she found it funny. Though he was not going to complain. If it made her laugh when he'd take that. She seemed pretty hellbent on making it clear that she was a princess. Well, at least hellbent enough to tell him she was but then note status didn't matter much since she was not in her fantasy kingdom. The Princess then decided to make some tea appear out of thin air. He could do that too but it was still impressive. He took it but didn't drink. He didn't like tea but he'd at least not leave it hanging in the middle of the air. Plus the cup was nice he could use that for something later.
She explained she came from a different realm than this one. "I'm assuming the demon realm. Since you are a demon and all." Yanwang said. Her parents told her to find some fun but she didn't find much of it here. "Yah this place can be boring sometimes. At the same time, the craziest stuff happens here too." Yanwang said with a smile. Then she asked the big question if he could take her to the afterlife. Yanwang rolled his eyes. "Nah I can't. I'm only able to take myself. You know rules of nature and all that." He had never tried to take more than one person but from what his uncle told him that was a bad idea. It would cause effects that he would not understand. The other question was if she could go without dying. "Uh...I don't know anyone but you'd want to ask a Shinjin about that. They know more about that stuff then I do." Yanwang explained quickly to her. Well seemed like that ended all questions. He sat back and waited to see how she'd respond to all of this.

For the first time in a long time- the demoness would change her expression- keeping a neutral curious expression as she awaited her answer. Should it turn out that she could actually use the ogre as a sort of bridge into those other worlds- even if it was only once she would at least be able to see it before figuring out how to venture there on her own, so of course she was a bit more...excited than normal, maybe her journey would be shorter than she imagined.
But of course as fate would have it- the task was not so simple, he could only travel there on his own for reasons she was easily convinced were literal. She would sigh before pouting her lip, circling her finger around the ring of her teacup. "I see...well that's unfortunate" She would set the cup aside and pout more- half hoping that Yanwang would take pity on her and come up with a last minute solution.
"So much for that idea...my parents told me that us demons are allergic to shinjin- and even if I could meet one the likelihood of that is drastically low, don't most of them live in that otherworld? I'd need to get there just to ask them! loooong siiiigh..." She would pout out loud as she wallowed in her own disappointment. "But I guess thats my only lead regardless- if you were me, where would you start looking first for a God on this planet?" She'd ask with a tilt to her head- hopefully he had at least that, then maybe she wouldn't be stranded for another month or so without a lead at the very least. Worst case scenario she'd have to spend her time causing the most inconsequential of terror- because that was her thing!

She didn't seem all that happy with his answer. He sighed as she seemed sad that he could not do much to help. She noted that she didn't really want to deal with the Shinjin being a demon. He heard Demons were weakened by the aura of a Shinjin. Now she wanted to know where the best place to go to look for a Shinjin. He put his hand on his chin. Where would the best spot to find a god? He'd then remembered a place had seen before. "There is this one place that like a giant tower. Gods are supposed to live there. So maybe if you go their someone will be able to help you." He said. Hopefully, that would be enough to help the demon princess.

Although she was really pouty before, she lifted her head and her eyes lit up as soon as Yanwang spoke of another place, another lead- she had a smile on and everything. She stood up, her manifested seat would poof into a flurry of smoky bats, she'd quickly conjure up a notebook and start scribbling on the page she opened up to.
"Giant tower you say? Interesting! I guess gods and the like really are demons opposites! I'd expect the more powerful to be at the bottom! so where did you say this place was, Yanwang?" She continued to scribble about in the notebook awaiting for Yanwang to answer her last question.
