"Yeah I know where my legs go, but it won't fit." Hale struggled around bumping into things as he tried squeezing into a mo-cap suit, hopping on one leg and grumbling loudly. "It isn't gonna fit. If I keep trying to force it is it gonna-", then suddenly there was a loud rip as the entire back of the outfit split from top to bottom and Hale just stood there on one leg with a blank stare, his eyes slowly drifting over. "And there it goes." His leg touched the ground and he gingerly pulled his leg from the outfit and held it out to the side as the production assistant walked over and yanked it out of his hand glaring at him. "Sorry!", he yelled as she walked off out of site. Slumping over a bit he looked around at the large empty and all the different cameras before flopping over onto a couch and sighing. "So far so good. Gah."
After about a half hour the assistant returned and tossed a suit that was clearly larger towards him, and he sat up from the couch with a yawn, giving her a big thumbs up. "Thanks. Sorry again." It wouldn't usually be much of an issue as there were plenty of humans his size and build, but this whole thing was for a video game, and what they wanted was for the form he wrestled in and that was a whole other issue. Hale had intended to retire after going a while without officially stepping into a wrestling ring, but for whatever the reason he was becoming popular on the earthling's Internet service BaoTube as of late. A few matches later and he was being called by a game company with some fighting game he couldn't recall the name of at the moment, but he was being added in as a special character for DLC.
Hale was now standing in this large room in his hulking brute form with what they told him was a mo-cap suit with what looked like balls all over it, looking himself over and shrugging some. After a few moment the room was slowly starting to fill with people and before he knew it he was being pointed to stand in different places, pose, and even do some of his more signature wrestling moves on stuntmen and strange looking life-sized dolls. It all felt a bit awkward, and the amount of times he had to do retakes, do moves over again, and dear god the lights in the room mixed with the tight suit were causing him to sweat like crazy. It took a while but Hale started to get into the swing of things, and after finally loosening up he was acting like his old self, flexing and posing, and unfortunately more than a few times ripping the suit doing so as he got carried away.
What not one told Hale however that there was a group that had won some sort of contest to come and watch the entire ordeal, and through all of it he had completely missed seeing them, usually facing away from that side of the room towards the multitude of cameras.

Some truths were irrevocably so. These were the facts that the only people who could disagree with them were either intellectually dishonest or vacuous. One of these great truths™ was that Turbo FighterZ was better than Serpent Master EX 6; such a fact was self-evident, and to dispute this was utterly without point.
Nashi, not being a total idiot, was quite the fan of Turbo FighterZ. He wasn’t especially good at it, but still he enjoyed playing. He liked it so much, in fact, that he signed up for a chance to go on a tour of Bingdai Baoco’s Satan City facility. The fates must have smiled on him warmly, too, for he actually managed to get chosen!
Finding the facility was no problem, nor was finding his ‘group’ at the required time. Unfortunately, yes, there was a group of snotty kids and overly-enthused adults that he had to stick with, but that was tolerable given all the cool stuff he got to see! They had a bunch of statues of characters from their games, and they had a really cool cafeteria, and Nashi even got to see the programmers in action! Nashi, by his nature, was more interested in the Turbo FighterZ department, and was quite interested to see them working on some new DLC which had only recently been announced! They had gotten in contact with some celebrities and fighters (although sometimes there wasn’t all that much of a distinction between the two) and got them to motion capture themselves/their characters before the tyrants who owned the Serpent Master series had them sign exclusivity contracts. Nashi watched the screens of 3D modellers as the motion-captured movements were put over the pre-existing character models. Of course, since some characters had signed contracts for Serpent Master there were yet other DLC characters that were just blatant but legally distant rip-offs of characters that were in rival series, such as the copy of the eponymous Serpent Master, Ophid Lord.
An hour passed.
”... OK, I think I’m done trying to figure out who’s gonna be in the new DLC. Let’s move on.” Nashi looked to his group, only to find that it wasn’t there. ”Er, guys?” None of them were in sight! Did they move on after Nashi spent too long fawning over what little he could see? ”Guys?”
Uh oh. This was bad; as part of the package he was supposed to get a free lunch, but he couldn’t get that if he wasn’t with the group! He looked around but couldn’t see anyone he recognised, and certainly couldn’t bare to ask a stranger for risk of embarrassment. So, instead, he found a corridor he hadn’t been down before and… the heck is this?
It almost looked like a school gym, with safety mats and cameras and maybe not that last one in turns of gym-iness. There were some strange people in strange outfits doing strange actions. Indeed, there was an awfully close lizard zoan (or ‘Arcosian’ or whatever) doing some neat flexes. Wait, is that…
”A-Are you Hale? You know, the Frozen Rain?”
Yeah, meeting a celebrity was cool, even if they were celebrities only through wrestling. But what was better than that was knowing who was in the new DLC!
Hmm. Perhaps the free food can wait. Indefinitely.

On one hand, there were fans, on the other there were contracted employees for other jobs related to the touring and management of the facility where the game was being developed. Of course, any company that had even a single shred of sense; they would employ security guards.
Of all people to hire for this day in particular as extra security; the company chose a member of Crop Corporated; one of their heads of security; Desmond. An absolute giant of a man. It was as if he was engineered to be a large and intimidating force of justice.
At the moment though; there were no troublemakers among the tour group. Either they were all law abiding citizens or sufficiently intimidated by security detail. Later on, as the group of competition winners were being guided down a separate area; Desmond noticed someone was missing. A youngster that was essentially a humanoid blueberry with cat ears and tails, really hard to miss in this crowd. “We lost one. I’ll go find ‘em before the lunch and game demos.” Desmond nodded to a fellow guide/guard and backtracked his way to the area that the young man was wandering around in.
Desmond was quick to his presence known before a conversation started. “Yo kiddo. No need to worry ‘bout being too slow, we’ve actually got quite a bit of time before the lunch and games. This group was pretty fast movin’” He said with a smile. Desmond also nodded to the Arcosian should he have turned around.

Hale hadn't been expecting anyone else to be coming in just yet, assuming he hadn't lost track of time so bad to have missed a full hour, but he had been in this room for so long it was hard to tell at times. He turned to expect to see the group walking through as he was set up to sign autographs, but he only saw a single person, and immediately the director started yelling at him as the cameras were still on. "Hey, relax we got a fan here.", turning back to the guy and giving a wave then extending his hand. "Yeah, Hale that's me!" though he looked rather ridiculous in his mo-cap suit. "Looking around behind him a bit and then behind the one that had came in, he turned back to them once more. "Where is everyone else?"
A second person came up behind them not long after dressed like security, and Hale began to realize this person had simply jumped out of the group and likely had come over here, or to simply sneak a peak at what was going on. Hale simply gave a quick wave to the security before looking back again and, then giving a quick glance behind him with a grin. "I've got this" nodding to the security. "Why don't you come in. I still have some stuff to do in here. Have to get some shots in my gear and what not. After that why don't we have some lunch." The director standing just a few feet to the side started having a small fit.
"You can't just invite people in here like that. They are unescorted and who knows what could happen?!" Hale just gave a dismissive wave and nodded towards the security. "They have an escort", leaning in towards the two in front of him. "Hey, so if the guard here comes in you can stay for a bit, then we can go get lunch." looking up to the security and waiting for a response for a brief moment before heading back towards the cameras. "Just go ahead and get changed, we got what we need from all of that." Hale simply walked past with a heavy thumbs up and grabbed a towel, wiping the marks on his face off and went out of view for a bit behind a door to the far side, then came back with his wrestling tights on, boots and mask in hand and sat down near a set of couches, motioning for the two to come in as he laced up his boots slowly. Slipping on his mask and rolling his neck, he was now in his element, getting up and walking back towards the cameras in his full wrestling attire and being handed a large belt similar to the one he used to carry when he was a champion, and the process seemed to start near from scratch.

Uh oh, they were being yelled at by some weird dude who, by the manner of his stance, seemed to think himself in charge. ”Oh, I don’t know. They were just—”
Someone else was there, interrupting the feline’s explanation. Nashi looked back to find a strange-looking individual: male and tall, with a strange apparent penchant for green in one’s hair. Nashi looked back— hadn’t he seen this guy before? He believed he remembered him from the group, though he wasn’t paying all that much attention to its members. Still, this one had a quite distinctive appearance, one it was hard to forget on such a short basis. ”O-Oh. OK.” Despite how friendly he appeared, Nashi was, although only to a very slight degree, afraid of this stranger. He was big, and wore dark clothes, and had partially green hair! Black paired with green, a secondary colour, was highly indicative of a villain. But, still, he had no way to know that, and he seemed friendly enough, so he didn’t want to act on any potentially unfounded suspicion.
He looked back to Hale. Nashi knew Hale to be friendly as per his appearances on television, and as such Nashi trusted him. ”OK!”
While Hale was getting changed, Nashi was frantically searching for a suitable surface. After all, he didn’t have anything on him that Hale could autograph! The Power Pole wasn’t an option for what should be (multiple) obvious reasons, and he certainly didn’t want any of his clothes autographed. He didn’t have any tissues on hand, either, and— aha!
Trying to ask at a natural time, Nashi would impose upon the silence. ”Er, mister Hale sir, could I have your autograph?” Nashi handed over a short blunt pencil and the smallest denomination of zeni note.

Oh boy, today’s director was that uptight guy. Desmond didn’t really appreciate their attitude, but they did produce results on the days they were working. “Everything’s fine, sir, I’ll be right here.” Desmond nodded to Hale in thanks— appreciative of celebrities that gave time to their fans. Apparently Hale had his costume on hand, which was a welcome surprise to Desmond as well as the blue youth.
Speaking of the youngster, apparently he started to freak out a little, rummaging around for something. “Somethin’ wrong, kiddo?” Desmond asked, quirking a brow only to have his question answered when Hale was asked to autograph something. A single zeni note? “Woah, I know thats a real small amount of money, but uh, ya sure about that? I mean it's up to you, but we could always find something better, right?” Desmond asked, looking over to Hale to see if he had any ideas. “Alllthhoooough, I guess it’d bump up the value of that note there to have a celebrity autograph on it.”

After a time that was thankfully much quicker than the first go around, Hale was done with his shoot and walked out from behind the camera and all the lights beaming down on him, finding Nashi walking towards him. Slowing pulling off his mask with a satisfied sigh, he had a pen and what looked like money held out towards him, his brow raising at someone asking him for an autograph. It had been quite a while despite his amount of fame, but he simply assumed people were intimidated by his size, stature, and race, so it didn't happen often. His eyes slipped over to the guy that had came in with the kid, and he was surprised how relaxed he seemed about the entire situation, mostly used to security quick to try escorting anyone out like Nashi, and with the way the direction and most of the other staff were today, it was refreshing.
Hale simply shook his head to Desmond then gave him a wink, then turned back to Nashi and waved his hand at the note and the pencil. "One sec kid." Holding up a single finger to them both he walked over towards one of the guys messing around with one of the cameras and leaned over saying something, and the guy nodded and handed him what looked like a marker, getting a thumbs up and a pat on the back in response. Hale returned holding his mask and the mark and stood back in front of both guys and heavily nodded towards Nashi, pulling the cap of the mark off with his teeth and signing his mask. Tossing it to Nashi he grinned, "How's that? Just don't go trying to sell it on E-Bao." Giving a bit of a stretch he looked around bit and leaned in. "Hey, uh, I didn't catch your name. "pointing at Desmond. "Or you I'm pretty sure." pointing to Nashi "If I did I am so sorry. This has been a busy day as I'm sure you can tell." Before Nashi answered he grabbed the money he seemed to want him to sign earlier and started to write on the note before handing it back. "My email and my cell. You look like a guy who likes to train. Maybe we can train together in the future, yeah?"

The note wasn’t in the best of shape. The pencil had only about half a pencil left. ”Ah, yes! That was definitely my intention!” It definitely was not.
Regardless, it ended up not mattering. Hale had gotten a marker, which was far more pencil than Nashi’s pencil ever could have been. And, instead of some petty zeni note, Hale had brought out his mask! His mask! The one he wore! On his headddd!! ”T-Thank you, Mister Frozen Rain!” Prolly should have just said ‘Hale’. ”I mean, Hale!” Better. Nashi caught the mask, looking through the eye holes full of glee.
”Oh, right. I’m Nashi!” Nashi took the note confusedly, and saw that it had Hale’s email and number! That was, like, communication… twice over! Quickly he began to copy over the information into his phone, and into his contacts. This was the first thing he’d done with his phone since he downloaded that ringtone app. ”Yeah, that sounds cool!”
Not sure where the thread should go from here. Any ideas?

Ahh, the beauty of light sarcasm. Desmond appreciated Nashi’s sense of humor on that. Desmond remained silent, politely letting Nashi and Hale converse plus exchange the autograph— Hale sacrificed his mask no less! “Ahaaah, good idea. Pretty cool huh?” Desmond asked Nashi.
It was quite amusing to see Hale just take on the persona he had, even if it was just for a moment. Nashi’s reaction was indicative of Hale’s impact on his fans, and Desmond nodded sagely.
There were introductions to be had though; Hale made good with pointing that out. “Aye, I’m Desmond.” The giant man smiled. “It is quite the intense production all things considered, I understand.” Plus, for some reason it was a big enough deal for everything to go super well if the company hired incredibly proficient security personnel. “The tour group is due to have a big ol’ lunch with catering and all that. You feel like joining in, Hale? I bet the others would be surprised, eh?”

Hale extended a hand shake towards both guys before crossing his arms and looking around the room for a moment. "Yeah, we can do lunch. After lunch though I have a few more things I need to do, then if you guys want to head back this way I think I have an idea you two will appreciate." Walking around he put an arm around both Nashi and Desmond's shoulders and started walking them towards where the others were likely already getting ready to eat. Pushing the large door open with a foot, he lead them in and with a boisterous voice called out, "Hey gang! I hear you guys showed up to see the champ? Mind if me and my two friends here join you?" Patting both of the two next two him on the back and nodding. "Muscles like these need a lot of energy after all, so point me towards the food!", raising both of his arms up and flexing towards everyone.

”Yeah!” Yeah, the mask was pretty neatarinettinesquineriotarinbadvilleino.
Nashi fumbled the handshake. The less said of that the better.
Oop, they were going somewhere? Probably to that eaty-meaty whatever place for lunch, given the general subject of the discussion. Gee, even Hale’s backpats have considerable force behind them. ”Oh, well, actually, they came here to see the development of— nevermind.” It looked like Hale was already deep-in a performance, and Nashi didn’t want to get in the way of that.
Nashi sat down, ready for some Food™. This is great. Free food, AND Hale’s here!
The platters were brought out, revealing… salad and egg quarter-sandwiches and store-brand party sausage rolls.
... Oh.

Now wasn’t this fun! Desmond smiled, liking that Hale was quite the jolly fellow so far— it reminded Desmond of.. Well, himself! “I’m off duty after this shift, but I can stick around for Nashi’s sake so he doesn’t get anyone on his case.” Desmond nodded, just going along with Hale and Nashi for now.
Desmond had a few cursory glances around to take everyone present into account— everyone was here thanks to his fellow guard’s efforts, awesome. He waved to the group and a bunch of them waved back having recognised him, his fellow security guards looked between each other in complete shock and awe. Desmond got Hale himself to show up!?
While everyone was here to get a sneak peak at the development of the game, getting to meet one of the people in it as well? Someone that was famous enough already too? That was big news, and to say that the group was ecstatic would be an understatement.
Everyone sat down ready to eat up, and while the current state of edibles wasn’t too exciting, the atmosphere was great. Desmond thought things could be better though and he noticed Nashi’s disappointment. How could he fix this? Looking outside a nearby window he saw the answer. Right across the street there was a Punchin Pancakes and a mini-mart. “I have an idea. I'll be right back.” He smiled to Hale and Nashi before going over to his fellow guards, whispering something to them. Evidently it was a good idea given their expressions. With that, Desmond exited the building… Only to return around 10 minutes later with a bunch of cool stuff— namely more appropriate celebratory snacks, of both the sweet and savory variety!

Holy heck I'm so sorry guys. This thread got lost in the shuffle. I wasn't ignoring it on purpose.
Despite the food selection Hale was chowing down all the same, and had a sandwhich stuffed in his mouth and half hanging out when Desmond returned with more interesting stuff than what he had a mouth full of right now. Pushing what he had in his mouth and swallowing it nearly whole he gave a bit of a "woo!" and raised his arms over his head, grabbing what he could reach and eating with no semblance of politeness, elbows on the table and the whole nine yards. a few people were asking questions and Hale would do his best to answer in character, flexing for a few and acting as nice as he could even while stuffing his face. By the time they were finally done it seemed the group was hesitantly ready to head on for whatever reason, but Hale looked at the other two that seemed to have not left yet, wondering if Nashi was going to be going with the group or not, then leaned in and whispered to them both after motioning for them to move in a bit closer.
"Hey, so I sent a text while I was eating and...you guys want to be in the game?", grinning wide. "They need a few extras for tomorrow to come in as background fans and the like for the game and well, you two are here now so how about it? Got some costumes for you guys to change into if you are up for it. Just gotta head back over and get you guys set up and the cameras rolling." Looking between them he finished off some food and gave his stomach a heavy satisfied pat.

Nashi picked up one of the store-brand sausage rolls. His lateness to the meal certainly didn’t help, but he couldn’t help but not be impressed by its temperature. It clinged to the liminal state between warm and room temperature. The meat was harder than it should have been, and the pastry crumbled like sand under even the slightest pressure. Hale seemed to be enjoying it quite a lot, but Nashi couldn’t bear to follow suit; perhaps it was the cat in him, but he was quite picky when it came to what he put in his mouth.
”R-Really? That’d be GREAT!” Emphasis on the great, which was emphasised greatly, because it was great. Nashi was imaging it now— when this DLC came out, he’d be able to see himself in the background, cheering himself on! It sounded especially great, but— ”— wait, costumes? What about what I’m wearing now?” Hopefully he wouldn’t need to wear anything less blue… he could scarcely imagine how long a shower he’d need to get the taint of the other colours off of him.
Hey, where’s that Desmond guy going?
An amount of time that rhymed with ‘ben binutes’ passed.
Oh hey there he is. Is that…? Are those…?
Yes, it is. Yes, it was. Food! Actual, proper food!
As soon as the new food was set down, Nashi began to grab at samosas and dumplings and lamingtons and scones! The other people would do the same, but there wasn’t much you could do about that.
”So, uh, you in, Desmond?”

Desmond was proud of himself, and rightfully so— he brought some extra oomph to the gathering at this little function. It warmed the big lug’s equally big heart a whole lot to see such positivity in life, it was as if he was a natural at this sort of thing. He desired no verbal thanks, the smiles on the faces of others was more than enough for him.
High fiving his co-workers, Desmond brought out his own lunch that he also purchased and politely ate it, for the most part Desmond just waited around while everyone else conversed. After seeing to his fans, Hale had returned with quite the idea! Desmond was nothing short of grateful that Hale would even offer or suggest such a thing
Mulling it over for a moment, Desmond responded with a massive jolly grin, and spoke in a tone that matched!. “Ahaha! Well why not? I’m most certainly in!” Since his guard shift was going to end soon after the proceedings here concluded— and that he had no other commitments or guard shifts elsewhere to attend to today— Desmond saw nothing wrong with accepting! “I’m not the greatest actor there is, but I’m not against a bit of a challenge!” He stated proudly.
