“I’m inclined to agree, I just wish we had been left with a worthwhile enemy instead of the whole lot of nothing we’ve had” Kayen said with a shrug deciding it was not worthwhile to push the idea of it being unfortunate that Boreal had passed, it was clear enough that Ramen had strong opinions on him, perhaps born of whatever interactions she or the Kingdom in general had had with the Arcosian.
Kayen had hoped that Boreal would BE that enemy, the perfect figurehead to use to drive the Saiyans Kingdom back to its former greatness as the Empire against. And Boreal had himself professed an interest in using the Kingdom in a similar manner for the Fleet, it COULD have been perfect if balanced properly, two sides pushing and pulling growing stronger and stronger until finally the power shifted to one side and the other was defeated.
Instead the Fleet devoured itself and was left a pathetic husk “I do wonder if we ever WILL have an actual challenge. The only other person I’m aware of who both dislikes me and has the power to even vaguely pose a challenge to either of us is Vocado himself and for all his bluster before I don’t REALLY think he’s got it in him to try splitting the Kingdom.”
It worried Kayen a bit, that things might have escalated TOO quickly and now they would be without a challenge. The only real potential enemy she could see, one that COULD probably present fighters worth facing, was off the table for as long as Ramen still considered Earth her home. Kayen was certain if the hornets nest was poked hard enough SOMEONE worth fighting would pop out from Earth, but it was at least unless they made the first move, off limits.
