Sesame walked down the street his fingers snapping back and forth. He listened to the chirping of the birds around him as he walked around. It was relaxing to just stroll without much worry in the world. The Demon had been stressed out from his last encounter. He had just met the woman who husband had died and whose body became his own. The Demon rubbed his neck slightly feeling the wounded that had been in the man's throat. That had been the one to end his life and bring his own life. The demon wanted to sigh though he didn't dare risk what would happen. He just needed to get his spirits up. He needed to try and talk to someone. The past two years had been quite lonely.
He'd watch a small kid run past him with his brother chasing after him. A frown formed on his face. He'd turn sitting down on one of the benches as he grabbed a small ball from his pocket. Bouncing on the ground a couple of times he pondered what he should do? How could he communicate his emotions to other people? Writing things down was not going to help really express one emotion. He'd turn grabbing a piece of paper and notepad from his bag. He decided he'd draw what he was seeing. Maybe if he drew someone would better understand what he was feeling. Maybe someone could help him in some way. He didn't know but it'd be at least some sort of help. He cracked his knuckles as he began to draw the small house that he had just been in the past day. He'd then focus on drawing the robbers outside the house.

The day had been rather calm for the chameleon despite traveling through a crowded city. She was exhausted from all of her day's activities and wanted a temporary escape from her hectic life, even if it was simply for an hour. Headphones in her ears and hands shoved into the pockets of her hoodie, Kari walked around the park, enjoying the cool breeze as she found herself lost in her thoughts. Daydreaming was always comforting, allowing her to take her mind off the more stressful activities in her life, however in exchange, it caused her to lose her grip on reality making her unaware to her surroundings. "Look out!" A voice shouted in her direction, shaking her out of her momentary daze. However, she wasn't able to heed the warning before she collided with a much younger boy. A yelp escaped her lips as she tumbled to the ground, limbs splayed out in all directions. Another boy, most likely his brother immediately ran over to her direction. "Are you okay miss?" He asked concerned before looking at his brother. "You should look where you're going."
"I'm so sorry! Are you hurt?" The younger boy asked holding his hand out.
It took a few moments for Kari to recover from the impact however, she took the boy's hand and nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay. It's fine." Stumbling slightly as she tried to walk, the older boy immediately rushed to catch her from falling. "I just need to sit down a little. Just a bit dizzy." The younger boy pressed her belongings which had fallen out of her pockets when the two crashed into each other.
"Just don't push yourself." The older boy asked. She returned with a smile as she watched the two walk boys walk away, looking back briefly with concern on their face before the older boy immediately began to berate his brother. Walking to a nearby bench she sighed as she collapsed onto the seat, unaware of the other person sitting right next to her. It was amazing how what was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon now became exhausting.
Sesame turned his head as he saw a lizard-like woman who had run into a boy. He'd raise an eyebrow as they began to talk and see if she was ok. He'd turn around and keep drawing on the piece of paper. As he sat and drew as the woman collapsed on the bench he was sitting on. He turned his head slightly looking at her. He'd move his hand back and forth to say Hi before he'd turn the page of the book he had been drawing in. He felt he needed to respond in some way to her. He'd began to write down some words before erasing. He was not sure how to start the conversation with someone who just sat down next to him. He'd began to write again deciding to go with some of the basic stuff about himself.
When he finished he made sure to read it over again making sure it was not super odd or confusing. He'd turn to her raising the piece of paper. "Hello, my Name is Sasha. I Unfortunately cannot speak hence why i'm using this paper to write down what I want to say." He'd hold it for a couple of seconds before pulling it back down and flipping the page. He knew what he wanted to write next. His pencil began to grind against the paper writing down more words to say to the person who just sat next to him. He'd lift the paper up again, "What is your name if I may ask." The paper read in big font so he could grab her attention and ask the question.

Groaning as she slumped further down onto the bench she sat on, Kari was not at first aware that someone was trying to talk to her. She had started spacing out and was in her own world for a short period. Until out of the corner of her eye she noticed the person turn towards her and waving. "Oh hello." She said with a small smile. He would soon go back to his book. Thinking that he wanted to say hi, she turned her attention elsewhere before she noticed the words that were written in the book. So he did want to talk to her. Nodding she continued to speak as well. "I'm Kari. Nice to meet you, Sasha." Curiosity soon filled her mind as she recalled upon the fact that he was unable to speak. She didn't want to pry into his buisness however her curiosity won out. "May I ask you why you can't speak though? Oh you don't have to tell me if you don't want to I'm just curious."
The chameleon sat in a short awkward silence as she awaited him to write down what he wanted to say next. She was unsure of what to ask next, having never been the greatest conversation starter. As she began to settle down, Kari had began to lazily sense the energy of everything around her out of habit. Everything seemed fine and nothing out of the ordinary save for an enormous energy she felt right next to her, coming from the man as he was writing in his journal. A look of shock quickly flashed across her face. Was this man potentially dangerous? Surely he didn't intend to ambush her right now, in front of the open. She began to shake slightly in fear, although she had tried to ask the look of shock from her face. Maybe if she pretend that she had never felt it in the first place he wouldn't bring up the topic. Or at least she hoped so.
He'd nod as she said her name. Kari was a nice name. He'd form a smile on his face. She then asked why he could not speak. He'd raise an eyebrow and nodded. He'd look around before pulling down his shirt slightly. Across his neck ran a scar that seemed to be a knife wound from the looks of it. He'd pull his shirt down as he moved to write it down and explain it in better detail to Kari. He writes down what he wanted to say and flip to paper to her, "I use to live a life of sin. I did many bad things but now I wanna live a better, different life." He'd write down as he flipped the paper back looking at Kari. She seemed to shake which confused him. Did he write something wrong?
He'd flip the paper reading over what he had said. He gets it was kinda revealing but he was surprised she was shaking. He'd look around to see if anyone was watching them. From where he saw there was no one. Maybe a few glances everyone once in awhile but nothing that should inspire any fear. He'd turn back with a shrug. He began to write down what he wanted to ask but he'd scratch it out. He prob didn't want to ask why she was shaking maybe something a little more subtle. He'd pause as he flipped the paper, "Are you ok Kari."
Kari hadn't expected an answer from the man about the reason why he was unable to talk. She found herself taken aback at the scar on his neck, finding herself unable to say anything but a single "oh." She began to feel a combination of pity and fear, the former emotion being from the fact he had to endure such an injury and had lost his ability to speak. Her fear stemmed from her knowledge that he had survived such a fight that left him. Sasha wasn't just randomly powerful, he had been in a few fights and survived. However, she did find comfort in his words about how he had acknowledged his mistakes and wanted to live a better life. It was enough for her to suppress her fear and calm down enough so that she would no longer shake, however she still found herself eyeing him suspiciously and continued to keep her guard up just in case. She watched as he continued to scribble in his notebook and jumped slightly at the words she read.
Taking a shaky breath before she spoke, she did her best to hide her discomfort and smile. "Yes, I'm okay. I guess I was a bit unnerved by your appearance and how stro- I mean your life in the past. You have to admit it does seem intimidating." Staring off in the distance, she began to wonder. What sorts of trouble did he face. It was great that he was trying to rebuild his life and turn over a new leaf, however she couldn't help but wonder how dangerous his old life and if a part of his "life of sin" as he called it still affected him to this day. Finally building up the courage to ask, she tried to look at Sasha before speaking in a small voice, "Do you mind if you share? I'm just curious." The question itself was risky, especially as Kari didn't know how sensitive the topic was. "You don't have to answer it of course, whatever makes you feel comfortable. I really don't mean to offend you." Flustered, she turned away from him and began to observe the activities around her. Cars were speeding down the road, kids were enjoying themselves in the parks and friends talked as they walked down the streets. All of these were simple, everyday tasks that Kari herself found normal but perhaps for Sasha these activities were a change of pace in her life. As she thought more about this topic, she felt her fear turn into sympathy for the man.
