HISTORY

The daughter of a Heran warlord, Narissa alongside her four brothers were expected to follow in her father's footsteps. From a young age, however, it was apparent that Narissa was unlike the rest of her family. The siren song of battle never called to her like it did most Herans. Instead, Narissa felt inexplicably drawn towards technology and machines. Her mind was thirsty for knowledge, for an understanding on how the circuits of her father's scouter connected or the gears of his ship turned.

At first, her father thought it was nothing but a phase, something she'd eventually grow out of it. When it didn't and she refused to take much interest in anything else. Her father's interest in her and her wellbeing quickly began to diminish. Seeing no use for a Heran that refused to take any interest in fighting. Her father eventually decided to sell her off. Narissa was left wounded by her father's actions. In spite of his harshness towards her, she never expected him to betray his family.

The group she was sold off to quickly took advantage of the skills she'd spent years honing. They forced her to create a variety of ill-intentioned technology, from deadly explosives to powerful and destructive androids. She was forced to work non-stop, only allowed the bare minimum of hours needed to sleep. She'd still be enduring those harsh conditions had the group's base of operations not been raided by the Crimson Apes.

The Apes had been contracted to eradicate the group and see to it that all of their research was destroyed. As the Apes were raiding the base, she pleaded to them to spare her life. Narissa managed to convince their leader Scallio, that she was a prisoner and not affiliated with the group.

Scallio agreed to transport her safely to the nearest planet, but during the voyage she grew close to them. Forging an especially strong bond with Scallio in particular during her brief time with him. This lead to her making the decision to join them on their endeavors.
