Annoying that his opponent managed to block the attack, while it wasn't all of it, it was irksome when his foes achieve the goal of nullifying his attacks' full potential, it was a waste, either way, Scallio didn't relent, coming at him, most likely about to send out a barrage of punches and kicks.
Auber charged at him as well, delivering the equal amount of punches and kicks while he does his best to block his foe's attacks, he was not prepared for a kick to the gut, causing him to double over, he had little time to react before he looked up and saw himself getting catapulted onto the ground by his enemy.
He got up, flaring his ki once more, he flew straight at his enemy, instead of punching or kicking however, he merely flipped in mid-air backwards, attempting to connect his kick with the fellow saiyan's chin and send him higher into the sky, should it succeed, he would fly past his opponent and soon above him before interlocking his hands and attempting to bring them down like a hammer at his enemy, seeking to send him onto the grounds.
He would descend onto the rocky shores himself afterwards, assuming his fighting stance and keeping a close watch on his foe's movements, his aura erupting to life once more, as the dark-purple energies flowed around his being.
Scallio grunted in pain as Auber's foot connected with the underside of his chin. The force behind the blow enough to send him rocketing upward into the sky. He'd grown used to Auber's speed over the course of the brawl but his body refused to react fast enough. It was worn and tired from the prolonged fight. So despite knowing where Auber was moving to, Scallio couldn't defend himself. The full force of Auber's hammer strike smashed against the middle of Scallio's body. His eyes widened and the searing pain from the strike vibrated throughout his body. Just as quickly as he'd been sent towards the sky he'd been knocked back down. He hit against the rubbled ground hard. His face pressed against the dirt and debris kicked up from their battle.
Scallio knew he was going to be feeling all of this come tomorrow morning. Rising up from the ground and taking a brief second to dust himself off. He turned to face Auber, who had resumed his fighting stance once more. The aura of dark purple ki surged to life around his foe. Telling Scallio that Auber was eager to continue their spar. He was relentless, Scallio would give him that. Then again, Auber had yet to take any serious type of damage from Scallio. Having managed to cancel out his Siege Cannon with an attack of his own early. Although, Auber had used a fair amount of ki when firing those powerful beam attacks. So perhaps he was feeling the strain of the fight. A grin formed on Scallio's face. There was only one way to find out he supposed.
Time to see how much power he could pour into this attack. The mercenary bent his knees. His right hand lowering to his side and he held it partially behind his back. Scallio's own aura, a deep orange, erupted around him. He pulled the energy towards the palm of his hand. The sphere that formed within it was small at first but steadily increased in size as Scallio focused his energy. Until eventually it was a large swirling vortex of orange. This was going to be his final attack before calling it quits. So he might as well put his all into it. He needed to be sure it was going to hit though. Show Auber that he could give as good as he could take. Pride was on the line after all.
In a display of reckless abandonment, Scallio did the unthinkable and charged forward. Making sure to keep his attack charged, he closed the distance between Auber himself. Taking his left hand, he aimed to punch Auber directly in the face. A feint and distraction. As Scallio's real attack was a right-handed punch towards the Saiyan's gut. The moment before the impact (assuming it hit), Scallio released the ki attack charged within his palm. A large beam of orange energy rocketing outward. Threatening to envelope Auber from a dangerously close distance.
Auber was satisfied when his attack combo connected and left Scallio into the ground, while his opponent was slightly weaker, he was still a challenge and Auber always liked a good challenge, he has fought many battles, some he was weaker, others he was stronger, but this equal fight is something all saiyans dream of.
His foe got up and was charging an attack of sorts, looked very similar to that attack he used at the beginning of the fight, maybe it was a beam of sorts, but from that distance? Sure the beams travel fast but still, however Auber can't be arrogant, it's a trait that has killed many of his kind and he refuses to let it happen to him.
Then, in a shocking turn of events, his opponent closed the distance! He was charging? Maybe he was gonna trick him, but no, he actually went through with the attack and Auber could only hold his arms in a X-fashion as an orange beam enveloped him and sent him backwards into the rocks, this was the worst damage he felt in this fight, but he endured worse he admits.
He stands up in a shaky manner, his body and armour are covered in bruises and burn marks, but he manages to get into his fighting stance and allow his dark-purple aura flare to life again, he charges at Scallio, aiming to envelop him in a barrage of punches and kicks before putting the palm of his hand on his opponent's chest, his hand then fired a dark ball of purple onto his enemy, seeking to send him backwards with an explosion.
The attack landed and with it, Scallio considered his spar with Auber finished. His body was drained and tired, incapable of safely continuing the match. A sentiment that rang true even more when Auber unleashed his Darkness Blast. The blast of energy knocked Scallio flat on his ass. His armor absorbing a majority of the damage but not enough. The Saiyan's entire body throb in pain as he lay flat on the battle-scarred ground. His chest heaved up and down as he fought against the sensation. Scallio would lay in this position for several seconds. The only clue that he was alive being the steady movement of his chest. Until eventually he managed to set himself upright. He winced in pain, as he stared in Auber's direction. Despite his battered and bruised state fire was burning in Scallio's eyes.
A clear indication that this wasn't going to be the last time that he and Auber fought. "You pack quite the punch," he muttered through a pained breath. Scallio slowly began to stand up from the ground. "I'm gonna have to call it quits here though. I can't really afford to get too injured." he did have an entire mercenary company to run after all. This little training spar of there was going to take him a few days to recover from already. He smirked, "We'll call it 1-0 for the time being." further reassuring that Scallio would be challenging Auber again. Scallio didn't say much else after that. He nodded his head at Auber one last time and then slowly began to float into the air. Before taking off towards the capital at rapid speeds. Not only was he beaten from their spar but they had spent a large portion of time here. Sturdy as the Saiyan race may be even they could only handle so much radiation exposure.
He was definitely going to need a bath when he got back to the ship.
His attacks connected for the most part and Scallio was sent tumbling onto the red grounds of the planet, Auber even wondered if he has overdone and accidentally killed him, but no, he was fine, in the sense that he wasn't dead, he was only bruised all to hell though.
Auber was composing himself, as well, he may have looked like it but he was as equally tired and injured as his foe, "Not so bad yourself." He complimented his sparring partner, he stated how he would be giving up so he doesn't get too injured, Auber couldn't help but think of the average Saiyan that would be in his position, they would berate Scallio and call him a coward, however Auber understood and nodded at him.
Auber listened as the man said this would be a '1-0' score, so they have a rivalry, now? Auber chuckled to himself, a rivalry is most saiyans' dreams, after all, a good rivalry is what keeps them sharp and gives a motivation to train and continue to fight, striving for higher grounds.
The young saiyan watched Scallio fly off onto the horizon and once he was out of sight, Auber dropped to one knee, breathing in a erratic fashion, he had won but barely, his body was fighting against the pain and fatigue, he only had enough energy to fly and its what he did, he would fly back over to the barracks to get some rest, well a lot of rest.
