An open thread for all tag tournament participants
In the center of the Diablo Desert stood the large structure of the Muscle Tower, but a new structure was taking shape around it. In a large square that spread out nearly half a mile was a large cement wall being built by a construction crew and within it pieces were being dropped in by helicopter that looked like giant squares made to lay flush with the wall. Hale had began to build a platform similar in style to that of the Budokai Tenkaichi stage but considerably taller, measuring around twenty feet with a large drop off to the outside. At the center was the large tower and directly around it a round set of bleachers were being built, rising up at an angle much like the tower itself. One side of the seats and large platform was finished while a construction crew worked on the other.
Up above were helicopters for two different stations that had gotten wind of the tournament, mostly from Hale badgering them about it, and had come to see the stage being built and anyone else that might show up. Hale was standing on top of his tower holding a microphone and pointed up towards one of the helicopters at both had cameras pointed at him for a live feed.
"Hellooooooo Earth! This is the Mountain of Muscle himself, Hale!" Turning and waving his arm out across the desert where the stage was being built, he started to talk up the stage and tournament. "This here is the tournament grounds for upcoming Mega Muscle Tag Tournament, and as you can see, it is rather large. This will be the single largest tournament grounds in the history of Earth, accommodating even the largest Oozaru and then some." The cameras panned over the area to show just how large it really was, even showing the crew still working on the other side, then back to Hale. " In just days some of Earth's and even the universes strong fighters will come here to match up with mystery partners to take on a team just as new to one another. At this time, I will be drawing the teams live for all of you watching so you will find out at the same time as the participants folks!"
Both cameras zoomed in on a table sitting next to Hale, and behind it a large board with an empty bracket. "Alright folks, let's get this started shall we!" Reaching down and punching a large button on the table the first two slots for the first team started to quickly flash names onto it, then the second slot for the second team began to do the same. After a moment of watching, Hale smacked the button and the four slots stopped. "Now that's a matchup folks. Can't say I'm familiar with everyone here myself, but I recognize some of these names. We have Ramen & Kalabas versus Nashua and Kohlra! Now that is going to be hard hitting!" Over and over again Hale would hit the button and up on the board the names appeared, until all the names were filled in, the teams were decided, and the matchups posted. "Well there you have it, we have our matchups and teams.", pointing towards the board as the cameras both zoomed in to look over the names, as a ticker ran at the bottom of the screen constantly running to show the matchups and teams.
"The participants will no doubt be showing up soon, well minus myself of course, and it will be kicking off in no time. Are you ready world?" pointing his mic towards one helicopter camera, then the other, winking to both and dropping the mic as where he was standing at the top of the tower began to lower with Hale until he disappeared, then the floor raised back up and the roof closed.
Pre game basically. Feel free to mingle, spar, whatever. Basically the stage is massive and still being built, chance to meet up with people a few days before the tournament. Think of this as the In Character moment that the teams were announced. You all would have received an invitation with direction to the location to find, feel free to rp out how you received it and so on.
