The process of learning a new technique usually took quite a bit of time and effort. Even for most Saiyans, the act of simply firing an energy beam could take months to master, let alone one as powerful as the Galick Gun. Despite all that though, it seemed the boy was getting the hang of it slowly. Another attempt failed, then another, until finally...
-BOOM!-
The energy seared the sky and arced like a beautiful violet shooting star. Vocado couldn't contain his excitement. Not even waiting for the beam to wink into the stars, the once-king jumped into the air, joyfully laughing as he exclaimed praise. "Haha! You did it! I knew you could, kid! Just goes to show ya I ain't that bad of a teacher! Hahahah!"
Vocado landed again, and patted the boy on the back. He'd done so well! "Save your strength, Tarch. Ki Control is all in the mind. Overworking your body might be a good way to get strong, but straining your spirit won't do you any good."
He nodded his head back to the house. "Why don't we get warmed up? You can catch me up on what you've been up to."

“Well, y-yeah,” the teen chuckled a little bashful, “you’re the best teacher I’ve had.” Really, Vocado was the only long term teacher he had. Sure he had his teachers at school for ki classes, but those were way different. Tarch gave his teacher a warm smile. For a moment he was afraid he would actually just up and leave him as soon as he fired off his first Galick Gun. If nothing else, it just went to prove that no matter how fast or how slow Tarch could learn a new technique he still had so much to learn in general. He did, however, learn a vital part of Ki Control that he never really knew before. It wasn’t like working muscles. With muscles, you work them until they grow tired and sore and let them recover stronger than before. Ki was very different, though the boy had yet to understand why.
Taking his teacher’s invitation to step inside, to his own house, Tarch would lead Vocado back into the kitchen to prepare a second mug of hot chocolate, going as far as to throw some miniature marshmallow in his to celebrate his first successful Galick Gun, and tell the former king what had been going on since his return to Namek.
All in all, it was very tame in comparison to the events on the war-torn planet. He talked about school, primarily his ki classes. He described his little bout with Nashua. Told him about Hale’s tag team tournament. Recalled the adventure he had with his best friend in an explored cave in search of treasure. Failed to mention seeing Nashua turn into a super saiyan. Then finally told him of his plans to visit Vegeta.
“I just thought after losing the tournament, it might be cool to see where my saiyan half comes from y’know? Learn more about myself and the saiyans in general.” Of course, he had a feeling his teacher may not approve of a second off world trip, especially to the world he used to rule over. With that in mind, Tarch thought it best he not mention his plans to visit Queen Kayen. Really beyond that, he didn’t know what else he’d find himself doing there. Either way, it certainly had to be better to go there then some other planet with a war on it right?
And thus, unless you got any last remarks, Tarch brings the thread to a close
