Powerlevel:80,000 Mollusc was heading towards Maestropolis. At least he was in the area. He was heading over there to meet with some of the people who lived there. He uses to live in a village there before the WTF attacked. While they killed many some survived so he wanted to at least say Hi. It had almost been a year since the attack. Since so many people were hurt and killed by the WTF. Now many things were different. He was not apart of the saiyans and the WTF had been beaten off the planet. Still, they needed to recover. Plus he could maybe bring some of them to Earth if he was lucky. So he walked towards the city looking out for anyone or anything that might get in the way of his safe trip.

Saiyan, Tuffle, Namekian, throughout much of planet Vegeta's existence only one race in particular managed to seize the limelight. Not by wits, or charms but something quite rudimentary. Power itself, the driving force of most societies. It only could decide who lived or who died. One would be quick to know the names of the strongest, most dangerous members of their community. With so much strength the rules of nature didn't apply to you normally. The limit for just how much one could do virtually didn't exist as long as one had might on their side. Such was the nature of life, at least in the mind of Kid. He still needed time to think over, and what better place for that than a place where he felt less pressured. Out of the chaotic lifestyle found in many urban environments. Ironically assuming the danger of the Saiba Wilds just to find a tranquility he couldn't get elsewhere. Taking the opportunity to walk in the still yet calming atmosphere, a cool breeze pushed against his face. He closed his eyes ever so slightly as a thought ran across his mind. <Its come to my attention that I should perhaps be considering leaving this planet, at least for the time being granted my distrust towards such a people. There's quite a presence on both Earth and Vegeta, but hopefully Namek provides me some kind asylum for the time being. Ironic, I'm walking to the closest thing to Namek. Maestropolis itself, a village I've yet to go to. Maybe I'll get some use out of talking with some of the natives.> As if by some stroke of luck, while on the path towards the town a Namekian had caught his eye. He ran up to the figure, waving towards them as he tried to get their attention. "Why hello over there! The name's Kid, I take you're headed to the same place? Perhaps we can walk together towards the village. Seems to me we might be able to have some useful conversation."

Mollusc had walked along for a long time towards the town each step heavy and slow. He could have gotten their fast but something held his steps, and he let the small trip drag on. It must have been an hour in his head but maybe he was just tired. A voice, however, broke that silence. He'd turned his head looking over at Kid. To him, the man looked human. He didn't have the spikey hair he'd expect from a Saiyan warrior. The armor was also not that either. He sighed in relief, he didn't have to deal with someone trying to drag him back to Kayen's service. "I see I suppose we can walk together. Who might you be? I am Mollusc champion of Porunga." He'd rubbed his head after he said the words. He had to remember he had given up that title the moment he left the kingdom. They should have no more meaning to him.

Kid hadn't spend much time with other races, Saiyans being the sole species had been with for an extended period of time. In such a unique encounter he couldn't help but wonder. <I've heard many things of Maestropolis, while I have my own reasons for going. I can't help but think, what's drawn him to such a place. Had he been a native of the town he wouldn't of had to return from some obscure location. Out here in the Saiba Wilds without any people in his company, and what's more..> The alien's scouter began flashing repeatedly, scanning the Namekian as a low hum of mechanical processes emanated from the machine. <His power-level, how impressive! Eighty-thousand and stable, this appears to be his strength at rest. There's a lot hidden underneath the surface here and its only just begun. Then again, I may be looking at things too deeply. Coincidences can be just that with nothing more attached to them.> Veins began to accumulate on his forehead, pulsing with a distinct red color. Processing information he struggled to deal with given the implications of the subject matter. <It does no good getting all worked up over nothing, I'll only hurt myself.> Until now he had only focused on self-reflection but a changed was in order, he replied to Mollusc. A voice carrying enthusiasm although barring a withdrawn atmosphere, as if to say his mind wasn't all there. "Mollusc, champion of Porunga? That's quite the title, I must say. The name Porunga does ring a bell but I can't quite place my hand on it exactly." The alien picked up the pace, walking at an increased rate as to not fall behind. He had slightly been distracted by the ongoing scenery, taken aback by lands he hadn't seen before. "The name's Kid, I have my loyalty to the Tuffle. Whatever that might mean to you."

"Yes though I guess I am the former Champion of Porunga. I use to think I fought for him but it seems I did not. I was just a fool. Mollusc shook his head. He wished he had been right all along but he had to deal with the fact he'd been just foolish. "As for who Porunga is he is a god of the namekian people. He is the guardian of the dragonballs. He can grant anyone three wishes as long as they collect all seven." Mollusc explained raising his hand to his face. Maybe it was not any wish? If it was why didn't the people just wish for no violence to befall Namek. Guess there were some rules that alluded him. Maybe he should visit Namek soon or later to ask. He did want to finally push past his former life and into his new existence. When the man explained who he was and a tuffle he looked confused. "I am sorry I mean not to offend but what is a tuffle?" Mollusc looked at him a genuine look of confusion forming over his face.

As he listened on Kid couldn't help but grow increasingly intrigued by this recurring mention of this so called ' Porunga.' The name appeared to have the kind of reverence one might attribute to a deity, but was this exactly the case? Although in his heart he wanted to believe it true, without solid evidence he kept a skeptic eye. Curious as to how such a powerful figure hadn't managed to enter any conversation he had partaken in previously. <Actual god, or myth? I don't think its entirely out of the question. A Namekian with such a remarkable power-level probably has merit to their words, I can't imagine him having gotten far without it.> The alien cast all of his focus on the man, paying a decreasing amount of attention to the trail they were walking on. Nearly tripping on numerous occasion due to the uneven and chaotic nature of the path. <He guesses? Sounds like a topic worth pursuing. Oh how isolated I have been, many things are just slipping me by> "Former champion of Porunga you say, what has led you to such a conviction? You don't seem to be like the foolish type, you carry a humble attitude. Something happen specifically? You needn't reply to that if you don't want to, I haven't been as open as you have concerning feelings." He would let the remark sit for a while, unsure if Mollusc wanted to pick up that thread of discussion in particular. This walk had proved to be lengthy by foot, there was surely time for another subject should they still aspire to converse. "God of the Namekian people? Additional serving as guardian of the dragon balls as well? If this much is true it definitely has its work cut out for it. Should one gather all seven.. then..." The alien immediately clapped his hands together, processing the content of such information. <It can't be real, this sounds like some kind of tale. Yet he remains steady in tone, certain as if its a fact.> "Oddly enough, this legend of yours fascinates me enough. Worth exploring to some degree at least provided I get the chance." The aliens scratched the side of his head, taking a moment before replying to Mollusc's last sentence. "Tuffle is a word that's long lost its meaning in the Vegetan world. You're lucky if your average historian could account what had happened thousands of years ago. Some time in the past there had been a dispute between two of the races on the planet. If my memory serves me correctly Vegeta's past name was originally Plant, planet Plant. Anyways, the two species in question were the invasive and violent Saiyans and the actual natives, the Tuffle." Kid heavily sighed, shaking his head in great shame. "It is said that a celestial event had taken place, and in a single night the entire Tuffle population vanished. A fit of blind rage or a cold and calculated coup? I think the latter, I'm not a Tuffle by any means but more so one of their creations. One of their children if you will, I guess that's why I was assigned the name Kid."

"What lead me?" Mollusc rubbed his chin. "Once I was walking the lands of Vegeta and I heard a great booming voice. It called The saiyans. I knew what it meant to them. I didn't have a purpose and I had prayed to Porunga many days. I assumed it had to be him but what could he want. I assumed it was to protect the Saiyans. So I made that my mission and following his words I became his champion. But it was merely something I thought I was. I was never blessed with great knowledge or great purpose. I placed some upon myself to keep moving. If I didn't have a direction where would I go? I'd would be lost in the world unable to find my way. I'd rather have false hope than no hope.
"Yes, it is worth exploring if you have a good heart and want to do good. Their powers can easily be misused by those who have malice in there intent or their wish is not meant for the betterment of others. Then the man explained himself. The tuffle were a species that lived on this planet first but the Saiyans came and took it over. He had never heard of it but the man seemed not to be lying. Plus the Saiyans did conquer planets in the past. Why not in the far distance past? Before anyone would remember. "I see so you're their last creation. I assume they'd hope you could take the world back. Or at least avenge the tuffle people?" Mollusc asked trying to figure out Kidd's Intent.

The Namekian never ceased to fascinate the alien, talking of things he struggled to fathom. Here was a person who had essentially a very different view on this world they shared. While he saw things with a more scientific eye, the stranger's view upon matters seemed to be enshrouded in some kind of mysticism. The repeated mention of this deity called Porunga made him only more perplexed. The story continued to unravel but his comprehension only dwindled as time progressed. <A voice in your head calls to you and this is the next natural step? Your entire life decided in a few sentences, quite the god if there even is one. But there's more to this, its clear.> Kid slowed down, taking a moment to think over what Mollusc had just said. His tale of gaining inspiration and motive from this god left an impression on him. <To find purpose, for once. Shape your whole existence to match that idea and then lose it once you realize the truth? I can't begin to comprehend the ramifications of such a shaking realization.> Kid looked down at his left hand, now a fist as he seemed to be gripping onto something that wasn't there. "You might be onto something there.." His entire arm began to shake, a thought arising in his mind. <I have my own motivations too but I've never quite considered it yet. My goal in this life of mine, once I've seen it through.. What am I left to do? I've trapped myself by defining all of what I am on this single ambition. He speaks of something I may encounter soon enough. Or maybe I'm already doing it to myself? Its hard to tell at this point. Is it really better to live with false hope? My objective may be hard to achieve but I can't just call this some dream that'll never happen. I won't get there with that kind of drive.> The alien caught up with the Namekian, sighing terribly as he begrudgingly agreed. "Maybe that's what it takes to keep moving forward. The lies we tell ourselves to justify what we do, and why we do them. I don't think I've have made it to this point if I hadn't lied to myself on numerous occasion." "A good heart and the willingness to do good huh? From what you tell me its worth exploring even if you don't possess that kind of character. Sounds like it'd be more fitting to say that such a deity can fulfill your desire. Whether a virtuous or malicious character, it'd make no difference. This wish granting power does not discriminate. I'll remember that." <This all sounds too good to be true, although.. If this information is actually accurate, for him to tell me so openly leads me to believe that its known by a greater population. People of every flavor looking to have their own wishes granted, acquiring even a single is a feat of its own. Then getting every other while many others seek to do the same. I guess there's only one way to found out.> Kid immediately pressed his right temple, triggering a button found on the scouter. A series of noises erupted from its speaker system as it seemed to trigger another process. <Maestropolis isn't all that far, shouldn't be much longer now.> The alien visibly showed his disagreement at the mention of him being their last creation, waving his hand dismissively. "I'm definitely not their first creation, and I strongly doubt I was their final either. They were an elusive type, there's an ancient rumor that speaks of their potential fate. Its been theorized that during the war some Tuffle managed to escape. Even if they had, given no other mention of the race's fate in the observable galaxy.. They're probably all dead or out of significant public sight. Then again, I've done similar." Kid sarcastically laughed aloud, fairly audible despite the mask he wore. "You're funny, like I actually have a chance at fighting them. They would definitely hope I take the planet back but in my current state, very unlikely. Don't get me wrong however, I shall avenge them. I'd like to avoid needless bloodshed if possible, but given what I intend to do to make things right again. It may be inevitable."

"Prehaps it is lies that keep us forward," Mollusc admitted and laughed. "Or maybe I just wish I had a purpose. I realized I had to make myself one. Now I have a purpose. To defend the people of Vegeta from threats inward and outward." Mollusc smiled at Kid. "Yes, the Dragon does not I suppose." Mollusc rubbed his chin when Kid noted the dragon most likely didn't discriminate between who was asking for the wish good or bad. In an odd way, it made him feel uncomfortable to think about more. Could anyone just make that wish good or evil? Then Kid made a note he was not the first or last of their creations. Mollusc paused a moment. He thought about what if he had been told by one of these creations. A voice had talked to him that day, he knew that not to be fake. It had happened but who had told him? "I suppose you could avenge him but most of the saiyans are good. With some exceptions, they have become peaceful but strong warriors." He knew that was not fully true but he'd liked to believe the only reason most of them fought was to defend their home from the Aroscians.

The alien laughed terribly again, still full of good humor after hearing that reply. It resonated with him in a particular way, finding a great deal of truth in the statement. At at a point at which he had finally learned just how applicable such a remark was. <If we just lied to one another more, I can't help but think that many more of us would be alive today. I'm sure the last surviving Tuffles gave up hope once they realized the truth of their situation. Yet... If they had just held onto their dreams, embracing such of a falsehood. Perhaps then, their chances of success would've been higher. Remarkably so I imagine.> Kid crossed his arms, in complete agreement towards the second remark. "Don't we all wish that? Some kind of purpose magically bestowed to us? Even if only for a short while, without that kind of reason to live on. I can imagine life'd be much too boring to live in any further." Kid returned the smile with a nod, unable to smile himself. There was a mixed amount of feelings at play. On one hand he did agree with a fair amount of what was said, on the other something quite different. <To defend the people of Vegeta from threats inwards and outwards? Yes, these Saiyans hadn't any participation in the the Tuffle genocide. Still, it feels wrong. I look in their eyes and these are the descendants of murderers, propagating on a planet they've forcibly made their home. And they're the ones worth protecting?> His fist clenched tightly as a rage welled over him. It had dawned on him after a while that the Namekian he was talking to wasn't just your average one from Namek. Upon first inspection he hadn't considered it but by now the pieces came together. <This man's loyalty stood firmly with the Vegetan people, Namekian or Saiyan it makes no difference to him.>
There was only so much mention of this particular race he could before he had enough, bearing a feeling of a disgust he struggled to shake off. His spine left with a tingling sensation as his personal views came into challenge. As if unnerved by the response, distraught and left in a raw sentimental mood. "Yes, maybe you're right in the sense that supposedly some of these Saiyans are good. Judging by the Kingdom's past and present, especially with the Solar Empire. By no means do they seem like like a peaceful civilization. Yes, I know they're powerful but I think it very false to say that they're nonviolent. I don't intend to avenge solely a single, him. No, its more than that. Crimes have been committed and they've gone unpunished. An entire race is slaughtered and no one is to pay for such an atrocity?!" His voice carried a degree of anger, restrained although still present to a degree. Trying to control himself despite the combination of emotions he bore presently. Returning to dialog immediately after the short outburst. "Sorry for that, but I feel like history has been put things in a very biased light. As long as I stand I hope to make at least this truth known. If your people had suffered similar barbarity, I'm sure you'd be sympathetic to the cause. You may admire this place and its people and that's fine. Remember, the foundation upon which Vegeta stands upon isn't so black and white. Brutality done in past or present is still indefensible." His ki wildly shot up, a violent electric aura surrounded his body getting increasingly intense with the passage of time. He turned his head to meet Mollusc's gaze, firm as he looked at him with absolute focus. Aura fading away as he relaxed. "I think this is where we parts ways, If this conversation continues I risk saying or doing something I'll regret. I have strong opinions about this matter, I don't think they're compatible with yours given the nature of our discussion. Nice chat, but I must bid you a farewell here." His aura reactivated immediately as Kid assumed a stance before taking flight. In but a short moment's notice he flew off, taking towards the Namekian village on his lonesome. His velocity only increasing with time as he didn't let up for anything, unless interrupted he'd soon disappear into the horizon. TAGS: Mollusc Additional Note: Attempting Thread Exit
