The hunt cometh upon thee, not by thine own will, but rather the will of the hunt itself. Nashua read that in a book once, and didn't understand a word of it, but she did know that the hunt for all the Earth Dragon Balls was taking forever. And her radar just kept turning up her own Balls again and again, so all she could really do was twiddle her thumbs and wait for Chime or Carro to call her with some news. And call they did, with the Namekian's voice ringing out in Nashua's head quite startlingly one day, though after the initial surprise, the Saiyan was very glad to hear that the green little boy had gathered up the pair of missing Balls himself. And off the monkey sped towards the Lookout, without skipping a beat, firmly gripping her bag that held all the Dragon Balls within.
If anything happened to them now, when she was so close, Nashua was probably going to blow up another mountain in a fit of rage.
But the trip was rather uneventful, and the Saiyan touched down on the floating island without a hitch. "Hi, sorry I took so lo- what the heck happened here?" Nashua said as she looked around and got a good look at the, uh, quite thoroughly smoldering floating island. It had lost a bit of its luster since she'd last been around, though, to be fair, the last time she had been on board, Ramen had been firing off planet destroying beams in all directions in her own uncontrollable outrage. Nashua shook her head and sighed, taking a deep breath before she stepped forward and pulled out her bag. "Whatever, we can fix it with the wish, too, if who I can only assume is responsible is responsible," she stated as she bent down on one knee and started to pull the five Dragon Balls she owned out of the bag.
Her presumption was, obviously Fleet involvement, though she was sure even if the planetary traders weren't involved that they could still patch the place up. After a brief moment, the five Balls were place squarely on the slightly scorched tiles of the island, and Nashua stood back up, placing her hands on her hips. "Alright, bring yours out and let's do this thing!" she declared with a confident but firm smile.

Chime's PL: 48,000
After he contacted Nashua, Chime simply stood out in the center of the Lookout waiting for her. The place was still in ruins, just as it had been when the battle had ended. The worn-out Kami hadn't begun its reconstruction yet, he was just trying to recover himself first. What sleep he'd gotten between the end of the fight and now had been restless, with his dreams haunted and chaotic, but it was better than running on empty. He tried to make himself presentable, materializing himself fresh clothes and washing up, but when Nashua arrived, it was clear he was worn down. There were dark circles under his eyes, and a heavy slump to his shoulders that wasn't there before. When she touched down, he greeted her with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, but it was a smile all the same.
"Hey, Nashua. Sorry the place is a mess, uh..." Chime reached up to fidget with his bead necklace as he looked around at the damage, "...Mumbo found me before we found him. We had a heck of a fight, but I had help, don't worry! Carro showed up -- I'm not sure if he's gone home already, actually -- and also..." He felt a pang of guilt in his gut as he thought of Banshee, and it obviously flickered across his face, but he barreled on, "A-anyway! Mumbo and his ally got away, but..." And he reached into the satchel around his shoulder, to pull out the four-star Dragon Ball, "Ta-da! So now we've got all seven, like I said."
He set the four-star out on the ground next to Nashua's set, but when he took the two-star out of the bag, he paused, and looked deep into it in thought, "...Before we start, I think we need to figure out how exactly we're wording this wish. Shenron isn't cruel," He squinted, not entirely sure how he knew that, but he did, "But we still need to be mindful of how we phrase things. If we say 'Undo all the damage the WTF has caused', that'll repair buildings and things too. But if we say something like, 'Bring back everyone who died fighting the WTF and their allies', that might get more people. ...But it would leave out those that were just trying to flee." He sighed, and began to fidget with his necklace again.
"This might be selfish, but...there was a Pride Trooper who helped us, too. But Mumbo didn't kill her, she just poured all of her energy into one big attack and...faded away. She was really brave, and strong, and cool, and I think she deserves to come back! I'm just...trying to figure out a way for that to happen that won't exclude lots of other people. I know I can't prioritize one person over possibly planets-full of lives. But I know you've got stake in this too, so, um...what do you think?"

Chime looked a bit worse for the wear now that Nashua had a chance to really put her eyes on him. Well, maybe that was an understatement. He looked tired, beaten down, exhausted, disheartened, and all other sorts of negative adjectives. The Saiyan had half a mind to ask him what was the matter, but he answered the question before it had so much as a chance to leave her lips. Some big fight with Mumbo that Carro helped him out of. So it wasn't just a rumor that the Star Goon had been looking for the Balls as well. "Well, I'm glad you're safe and sound, and managed to get his Ball," she replied with a sigh. That whole conflict could have gone entirely South, and there wasn't a thing Nashua could have done about it, seeing as how she wouldn't have been around.
It was kind of a shame Mumbo and his allies escaped with their lives, though. If they'd just been killed in the fight then they wouldn't have any future troub- wait, what was she thinking? Nashua shook her head lightly and blinked a few times. Maybe she was getting tired too if violent thoughts like those were sneaking their way into her head. Chime had a good point before they began, too: the wording of the wish made all the difference. The wish Nashua would've liked to just make was just to revive all the people across the universe killed by the Fleet, but if they were to find some way to word it to fix more things, then it would be all the better. The Saiyan squinted a bit when a 'Pride Trooper' who had died fighting Mumbo was brought into the equation.
"A Pride Trooper...?" Nashua mumbled, looking down at Chime with a hint of disdain for the words. "Those 'defenders of Earth' who murdered Banzo? Those Pride Troopers? Why should we care what happens to one of them? If she was here fighting Mumbo I bet she was just trying to get the Balls for herself." She was momentarily angry the mere suggestion of it, then she let out a sigh through her nose. "Sorry." She supposed it wasn't like reviving that Trooper wasn't going to take away a revive from someone else. The Saiyan mused over different wordings in her head until she came up with one that sounded pretty all encompassing. "How about 'undo all death and destruction caused as a result of the World Trade Fleet's actions'? That seems like it'd cover about any base I can think of. If that sounds good to you, why don't you go ahead and summon him? I'm not too sure how to do it, myself."

Chime visibly flinched when he heard Nashua's tone. She didn't like the Pride Troopers? But everyone was supposed to like them, they were superheroes! "W-well, I care!" He found his voice after a second, to speak against this Saiyan more than twice as strong as he was, "I don't know who this 'Banzo' is, but I know Banshee helped me! If she was just trying to get the Dragon Balls, she wouldn't have sacrificed herself like that! How can you make a wish if you're dead?!" His voice rose as he went on, and he gestured frantically with the two-star in his hand. He quickly realized how close he was getting to outright yelling at Nashua, and snapped his mouth shut. They were supposed to be...if not friends, at least allies. They shouldn't fight.
"...I'm sorry, too. I'm sure you have your reasons. Let's just stay focused." He nodded along as Nashua rephrased their wish, "That sounds pretty good, yeah. Or maybe 'Undo all death and destruction made from conflicts with the World Trade Fleet, barring the Fleet's own casualties'? That might be getting too pedantic, though. Yours is probably fine. Uh." His beads click-clacked against each other as he continued to turn them over in his hand, the soundtrack to his anxiety, "I guess I should just...do it then." The two-star ball was set down to join the rest of them, and Chime stood before the set of seven. He'd never summoned a Dragon before, and the only one he would have been able to summon before now responded to an entirely different language anyway. Nevertheless, the words sat on the tongue, ready to be spoken, as if they had always been there.
The Kami raised his arms, and called out, "Eternal Dragon! By your name, I summon you forth: Shenron!"

The hunt for the seven Dragon Balls was finally over, and now the victors could claim their prize. The once bright skies above washed with an inky blackness as soon as Chime called the Eternal Dragon's name. The seven orbs in front of the two shone bright in the newfound dark that covered every inch of the Earth below, wind bellowing from the seven Dragon Balls at Chime's feet. The quiet air was pierced by a low humming from the seven orbs- but the sound exploded into a piercing howl as a column of snaking light surged into the skies from the seven orbs.
The golden aura snaked around the Lookout, fading into striking green coils that looked like they had no end to them. From the dark skies above dipped down a face familiar to the Kami. Cutting fangs, long antlers, finished off with a pair of red eyes that trailed over to the saiyan and Namekian, Shenron had appeared once more."YOU WHO HAVE GATHERED THE SEVEN DRAGON BALLS." The Eternal Dragon bellowed. His gaze matched the air it had during his last meeting with the Earth. "I AM THE ETERNAL DRAGON OF EARTH, SHENRON. I SHALL GRANT YOU ANY ONE WISH." That one wish had world-shaking power behind it. The power to restore, to destroy, or to protect, was in the hands of the two below. "NOW, SPEAK."

Chime's wording may have seemed a bit too unnecessarily specific, but then again, you never knew how carefully you needed to word something as powerful as a wish. Eithe way, they were all ready to summon the Dragon. Nashua couldn't help but be curious of what he looked like. This one was supposedly more powerful than the Namekian Dragon, right? And that one was massive in size and scale, with huge, hulking muscles that looked more than powerful enough to destroy planets with a single punch. Would Shenron dwarf even that in size? The Saiyan stood back, and stood ready as Chime performed the summon, and, just as it had on Namek, the sky went dark, and the Balls began to glow something ierce, until a column of light blasted into the sky and lit up everything around it from the circle of the seven spheres.
And then, appeared the Dragon himself.
"Oh," Nashua mumbled when Shenron's snake like form came into view, still towering over everything with his massive size, but decidedly more noodle like than Porunga. "Porunga had a lot more, uh, muscle," she commented. ...Wait, she shouldn't be criticizing a Dragon god's physique. Nashua, more loudly, called out, "Hi, Shenron! I summoned your brother, Porunga, on Namek a while back! Did he tell you about me?" Making idle chitchat with a Dragon god probably wasn't a great idea either, but it was one of the things Nashua tended to jump to when she was nervous. And who wouldn't have been nervous in a position like hers? "Okay, right. Wishing for dead people. Let's do this." Nashua hopped up and down for a moment and shook out her hands at her sides, before stepping forward and clearing her throat.
Being loud and clear was key. And making sure she didn't jumble the wording. Golden eyes shot one last glance back at Chime before turning up towards the whiskered face of Shenron, and Nashua began to speak her wish loud and clear.
"Shenron, please undo all death and destruction caused by the World Trade Fleet's actions, barring damage and death they've done to themselves!"
That was good, right? Now they just had to wait and see.

As Shenron snaked his way across the unnaturally dark sky, Chime felt something spark within him. The latent connection between Kami and Eternal Dragon was always there in the back of his mind, but now, with the dragon summoned, it burst out to the forefront. Nothing changed about him, really, but he felt...fuller. More whole. It was difficult to explain, but watching the impossibly long dragon curling around the sky just felt right, somehow.
Nashua's comment on Shenron's muscles (or lack thereof) actually got a chuckle out of Chime, the first time he'd laughed since the battle a day or so ago. "That's what I thought the first time I saw him, too," he whispered to her, "Just don't let him hear you say that." He gave her a thumbs up and a little reassuring smile when she looked back to him. Then came the wish. He was pretty sure that covered all their bases, but it was a pretty big ask, even for a Dragon. He held his breath, and waited...

The Eternal Dragon's eyes narrowed at the saiyan standing below. He heard her quiet comparisons to Porunga, but the wish-granter remained silent- albeit mildly irritated. But they still had a wish, and it was Shenron's duty to grant it. "THIS WISH..." The dragon began, closing his eyes. Nashua was asking for a lot- countless populations, cities, maybe even a planet here or there fixed up. Shenron didn't pause for long, however. "...IS WITHIN MY POWER." The dragon's eyes snapped back open with a flash of red, his aura flickering around his body once more. The feeling was hard to describe. Countless around the Earth might have felt a mild tingle as the dragon's magic pulsed throughout the galaxy. On Vegeta, dazed saiyans, still wearing the broken armor they'd died in, would find themselves staring up at their home's red, and now freed skies once more. Some on Earth would return to flesh as well, such as the now much less ghostly Saiyan, Roma . Even some fellow Arcosians, Ledinjin Frost and Thaw , would suddenly feel the pang of energy enter their bodies- and moments later, they'd no longer find the need for the metal keeping them alive... And finally, Shenron's powers focused onto the Lookout itself. Craters filled with the golden light, affixing themselves back into perfectly squared, flat tiles. Even the massive crack in the Kami's home would seal itself shut. Burnt books were formed back into existence, neatly arranged back onto shelves- in alphabetical order none the less. And right in the same spot where she gave her life, the Pride Trooper Banshee would flicker back into the mortal world. "IT IS DONE." Shenron's once tensed form meandered once more. "ALL THOSE WHO HAVE DIED TO THE WORLD TRADE FLEET'S ACTIONS IN RECENT YEARS HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO LIFE. I HAVE REPAIRED PHYSICAL DAMAGES AS WELL." The dragon's head turned, the tip of his tail grazing across the Lookout's surface. It had a new shine to it- Shenron seemed to have done some spring cleaning for the Kami as well. "WITH YOUR WISH GRANTED, I WILL TAKE MY LEAVE." The seven Dragon Balls floated into the air around the Eternal Dragon. Stone slowly spread across their surfaces. "FAREWELL!" The dragon bellowed one last time. His body was wrapped in light once more. As quickly as Shenron appeared, the dragon's body snaked back into the skies- gone without a trace moments later. The skies faded back to their usual blue hue. Nashua and Chime might have not seen it, but there were already thousands of people across the galaxy who just had their days made.

The Saiyan waited with baited breath as Shenron paused momentarily, then let out a small sigh of relief when he revealed the wish was indeed within his power. Okay, great, right? Nashua held her breath, still, as Shenron's magical forces began to spread across the galaxy, her heart racing with anitcipation as she felt a mysterious power at work around them, though the feeling the magic that coursed throughout brought with it was nearly indescribable. Comfortable, yet foreboding all the same. It reminded her that while this power had the capacity to do infinite good, it was also capable of unspeakable evil. It was part of her responsibility now to ensure that it was only used for the right reasons, she supposed, having taking advantage of the Dragon's power twice now.
The Lookout itself quickly began to mend, which startled Nashua, but she realized that fixing broken structures would technically have fallen under the grounds of the wish she'd made. What other fixes and changes might this have brought that she hadn't foreseen? For the moment, she didn't really care too much, as all she could think about were the faces on Vegeta she'd missed the last year that could now enter her life again. And that was enough to make her happy. "Thank you, Shenron! I hope I don't have to see you again! ...I mean, not that it wasn't nice to see you, but, well," Nashua momentarily stumbled over her own words, though before she got the chance to properly correct herself, the Dragon flew off into the heavens, bringing the seven Balls with him.
"...That went pretty well, I think," Nashua cheerfully said to Chime, turning over to the Namekian boy with a smile. "Hopefully all your friends are back where they should be. I think I'm going to go back to Vegeta to see my friends and family again now, though. Will you be alright without my help around here for a while?" She couldn't deny she was worried about Earth. They had, well, their own plethora o problems. And she was obligated to participate in some tournament, wasn't she...? Well, maybe she should stick around for just a few days first to make sure everything was squared away. It wasn't like all her friends and family would manage to die again in that time span, right? ...Right?

That tense moment carried on for what felt like forever, but it was really just that. A moment. Soon, Shenron's magic was spreading through the Lookout, the Earth, the whole galaxy. That feeling of he had wholeness increased as the wish was granted, maybe from Shenron's magic, or maybe just because his home was being knit back together before his eyes. With his duties fulfilled, the dragon ascended back into the sky, taking the Dragon Balls with him. Chime dashed forward, waving at him, "Goodbye, Shenron! Thank you! I still think you're cool, even if you don't have muscles!"
As the skies faded from black to blue, Chime watched the spot in the clouds where Shenron had vanished. He felt...well, he still felt exhausted, and a lot was weighing on him, but he felt better than before. Accomplished. They had done a good thing here today. He turned to Nashua and smiled, "I think so, too. You should go, if you want. I'm sure you're eager to see everyone back home again. We'll be alright here, don't worry!" He puffed up his chest and set his hands on his hips, "After all, I'm the Guardian! I'll keep a good eye on things." The words weren't at cheery or confident as Chime's normally were, but his mood was picked up noticeably from when Nashua first arrived.
"Thank you for all your help," Chime told her, and gave her a deep bow, "...I'm glad I decided to trust you, back when you first showed up. I'll see you again someday, okay? This isn't goodbye. But for right now..." he looked across the Lookout, to where the massive rift in the floor had been, "I need to make sure everything is where it should be. ...And everyone."
With a nod and a wave to Nashua, Chime hurried across the Lookout towards its central building, where he'd run down the many flights of stairs, towards the library...
