Mac's PL: 7,751 Ki Suppersion-ed to 0
Life for Mac since he landed had been quite. Much too quite for him. He was a child of war, born and raised to fight and survive no matter the conditions. But his current life was no challange at all. Food was plentiful, he had a roof over his head, and no creatures that could thereaten his life. The large lizards were a challange at first but he soon learned thier he heard it a fiant noiuceweaknesses. All in all there was nothing to challenge him and that was a problem. He was growing more and more restless as the days went by. His guns were sparking new again, so were his swords and knife. His clothes were as clean as the day he received them. He had food to last for months. He needed something, anything, to keep him occupied. He was currently sitting on top of his shack, in his full gear. Backpack, guns, coat, everything. He was just sitting waiting for something to happen. luckly something did or he might have gone insane. He had heard stories of ex-Scavangers going insane when they weren't able to do there work anymore. With how violent most Scavangers lives are none of the stories had nice endings. Then he heard it. A faint noise just above the wind. Rustling, the rustling of leaves. It was no animal. the animals here don't make this much noise. It was a person! Mac quickly picked himself up. He normally didn't like people, but he would do anything to get rid of this boredom if even for a little while. Jumping from the roof he started to run toward the noise. Then he jumped and grabbed a low branch using it to swing to a higher branch, he maintained an altitude about ten feet from the ground. While swinging from branch to branch he remained completely quiet. No noise or ki came from his body, he was going to check out the person before he was going to interact with them. When he saw the person he was unsure it was even a person. They had a body unlike anything Mac had ever seen before. He was both curious and worried. He followed the person for about ten minutes before deciding to make the first move. He brought out his hand gun and smacked it against the trunk of the tree he was standing on. What are you here for?, he asked looking down from his tree.

Sweat poured from Aizu as he let another lifeless training drone fall from his grasp. His daily training regimen was getting easier, and he’d decided to limit himself to the use of his weakest suppressed form in order to maximise the benefits of the now almost-obsolete machines. He had plans for a more advanced training setup, but it would be expensive. For the time being he made do with a battered set of basic models.
Having completed the last of his exercises the Arcosian enthusiastically cast off his armour before diving into the lake he had chosen to train beside. Food was plentiful at water sources, and it allowed him to bathe between training sessions. The cool waters of the lake soothed his burning muscles as his alien form glided beneath the surface.
He watched with idle amusement as fish panicked and fled before his approach, hiding themselves amidst the weeds covering the lakebed. It was a tranquil spot, and he found it easy to keep himself isolated in such surroundings. Thoughts came more clearly to him recently, and he’d begun to sense his training paying dividends. Simulated combat scenarios which had once taxed him to breaking point were starting to become routine. He felt good to be back in the real action, rather than quashing some farcical rebellion on a backwater mining colony. Recent encounters on Earth had infused Aizu with a drive he’d almost lost in recent days. He wanted to be stronger, faster, more powerful. He wanted the influence and dignity he’d once been denied by the Saiyans. Once he had all that, he could finally make them pay.
His thoughts of revenge were broken by a pressure around his tail as he felt himself being dragged backwards in the water. Turning in a corkscrew motion, he saw the jaws of an enormous crocodile clamped around the thankfully durable appendage. He grit his teeth and used his tail to yank the crocodile closer in a swift move that shocked the massive reptile enough for it to let go.
Less than a second later the surface of the lake erupted in a geyser of droplets, as a now-lifeless crocodile crashed onto the banks of the lake. Aizu emerged just behind it, landing by his armour and quickly suiting up. He trudged back to the limp reptile and dragged it by the tail off into the undergrowth.
A while later at his secluded camp, Aizu sat enjoying a spit-roasted alligator tail. The meat was tender and succulent. Earth certainly had a wealth of good hunting. Were circumstances different it might have made for a great hunting vacation spot. But he had greater purpose driving him than mere leisure, as he finished the meal and headed back towards the lake to resume training.
He walked slowly back, taking in the sights and sounds beneath the canopy. He spent so much time flying over the vast wildernesses of Earth, but rarely took a moment to appreciate the view from the ground. He noted the spiderweb criss-crossing between the trees and the monkeys clambering across the branches. Birds twittered far from view and the breeze gently stirred the leaves. It was a calming little stroll. And then it was interrupted.
A thud somewhere behind drew the Arcosian’s attention. He spun to locate its source, locking eyes with a man - a Human, by the look of him. It was not easy to tell with how heavily clad he was. His gear was worn and heavy, reminding Aizu of junk scavengers he’d encountered in the past. He demanded to know Aizu's reason for being there.
“Just camping out and getting in some training. No funny business,” He muttered in response, tapping his scouter for a power reading. Zero. How was that possible? Aizu wondered.
“You crept up on me there. How are you masking your energy? Are you some kind of android?”

"What is an Android and what is this energy you speak of?" The word 'Android' rolled awkwardly off his tounge. He had never heard of such a being before. The mention of energy that he emitted made him confused. Could it be the plasma-like energy he had seen others use before? And the beings device looked just like one he had found in his current residence. Perhaps he could teach him how to use it if things went friendly. Ah, the life of a Scavenger, filled with many questions and just as many loose answers.
No matter. He had heard a word he understood and interested him greatly. Training. On his former planet, training consisted of an intense workout, intense by this world's standards at least, followed by a short break, then there to give sparing sessions, another short break, finished with some pain tolerance training. Scavengers like Mac also took gymnastics training. He stopped training at ten because he kept beating everyone, was as strong as an adult, and could put pain just about anyone he knew.
After his defeat by the hands of the monster, it seemed he would have to start again. "I would be quite interested in joining you for the training if you would allow my to do so." Mac needn't give a reason, why should he? This person may try to kill him in the next five minutes. Having finished speaking, Mac kept from the tree and landed on the ground without a sound.
When he landed, his form became more apparent. He stood with a slouch and the guns he wore were in the open for all to see, along with the twin curved handles be home his head. If Aizu used his scouter again he would see Mac at his full power.

The human didn't seem to understand the concept of androids or energy. That was perplexing. Ki wasn't exactly a secret on Earth these days, and androids were fairly widely used too. Where was this stranger from? Aizu wondered. He’d seen a few Earthlings on other planets in his travels so perhaps this one was as alien to Earth as he was.
To his continued surprise, the stranger asked to join his training session. It seemed a harmless enough request though his power level was still a mystery, at least til he silently dropped from his perch. Suddenly the scouter’s readout skyrocketed to over seven thousand units. He’d not seen an Earthling with such power since the battle for Satan City, though it still paled in comparison to his own. The concealment of that power was intriguing, but the stranger seemed legitimately ignorant of the concept. Perhaps it was an unconscious action.
“Your energy - or ki - is your life force. I can detect it with my scouter,” Aizu tapped the device covering his eye. “The greater your energy, the stronger you are. And you are exceptional for an Earthling. If you want to join me in training I won't deny the request, but I have some questions.” Aizu said, withdrawing a case of capsules from a pocket concealed at his hip.
Selecting one of the capsules, he cast it to the ground, watching as it burst into a cloud of fog. Shortly the gaseous plume cleared to reveal a case of two dozen spherical objects laying where the capsule had landed. The case also held a tablet device which Aizu collected and began to fiddle with, programming a training scenario. As he did this, he idly continued his interrogation.
“Whether you realised it or not, you were concealing your energy earlier, which is why my scouter didn't detect you. A useful talent that I’d be keen to know more about. Perhaps we can learn something from each other today,” He mused. Suddenly, the spheres hummed with power, lifting off from their case and scattering themselves at various elevations around the Arcosian and the scavenger. There they hovered, awaiting the start of the exercise.
“These drones are programmed to simulate combat scenarios. They can fire low-yield energy blasts. They won't injure you but they will test your reflexes and awareness,” Aizu keyed in the final commands for the exercise, setting down the tablet and looking the stranger over.
“Before we train, introductions: My name’s Aizu. And you are?”

The energy was... life? That didn't make sense. How could something that gives life be so destructive? Also, how could a small device detect how alive a person was? Well he could answer that one himself. The advanced technology of this planet must have found a way to detect brain waves and heart beats at a distance. At least that's the best explanation he could come up with. Perhaps the energy "emitted" by a person somehow affected their brain waves, or possibly even brain waves themselves. It did feel nice to be exceptional, even if he didn't quite understand why. Mac had managed to give himself some answers, whether they were correct or not didn't matter right now. he would gain more information and and guess again another time.
The being in front of him didn't even answer his question about what an Android was. If the being wished not to tell him he would not pry. Thou he would pry about one thing. "If I may ask, what exactly are you. You are like no being I've met be-." He stopped mid sentence to stare at the puff of smoke. Why had he done that? There was nothing to hide from. At least none that he saw, but the beings 'scouter' may show other wise. When the smoke cleared Mac was shocked. Not that the Arcosian could tell.
It shouldn't have been possible, but it was! The tiny capsule from before turned into an object with so much mass. How could... Mac began to hold his head with one of his hands. All these questions and new concepts had given him a headache. He took a deep breath, cleared his head, and focused. He needed to learn as much as possible, so he had to power through.
The being in front of him told him that he could conceal his energy. So the energy was not brain waves. Then what could the energy be? Focus, Mac. That's not important right now. If the being wanted to learn so be it. He had already proven quiet useful. "I'll attempt to show you how I conceal my energy, as you call it, but you must bear with me. I have never attempted to teach anyone anything before. So it may be a frustrating process."
When the spheres lifted off Mac was startled. He had never seen a machine fly autonomously. It was quite similar to the way the monkey tails beings he had met so far were able to. This world was full of surprises and new concepts, it was starting to get annoying. He was a curious individual but he was becoming overloaded.
When the Arcosian asked for his name, Mac stammered back, "I... I am called Mac." It was clear he was distracted. But it was too late to go back now, the training had already began...
A noise awakened Mac from his own thoughts. He instinctively did a backdrop and barely evaded an energy blast. He pulled out his pistol and began to run. A group of six orbs began to chase him through the forest. He fired at his pursuers but with a quick jet all of them evaded. They fired a round of blast as Mac continued to run. He rolled to the side evading the volley, as soon as he stopped he kicked off of the ground and ran for a tree. He ran behind the tree at full speed then... nothing.
All that could be seen or heard was six spherical robots and the humming caused by there levitation. They began to scan the area for their former target. BANG! One of the bots fell from the air. For a split second, a power level was available. Then suddenly Mac fell from the branches above the bots and landed on one. He took his knife and drove it deep in a crack between its plates.
The drone hovered for a moment and tacking his chance, Mac ripped his knife from the wound and leapt from the failing bot on to another. This time he pulled out his pistol and fired it at the three droids he could see. Two of the shots missed, but one made its mark. The orb took the bullet and crashed into a tree before falling to the ground. He put the gun against the droid he was on top of and fired into it.
This time he fell with the orb and jumped off at the last minute. The two remain droids fired at him but he did a back flip and dodged the attacks. Mid flip time seemed to slow for Mac as he took aim at the bots and fired two shots, each hitting their mark.
The spheres fell and he breathed a sigh of relief. Mac looked over at Aizu to see him almost finished. A bot appeared behind the Arcosian and Mac took his chance to help. He ran to one of his own knocked out droids and kicked it as hard as he could. The orb flew fast and knocked the sneaky ball out.

The stranger seemed unnerved and confused by most of what Aizu was saying and doing. His reaction to the expanding capsule was particularly amusing, but also hinted this human was not the usual Earthling. Capsule technology was an ancient and rather unique hallmark of their science. If the stranger did not recognise it, he was either unusually isolationist, or had come to Earth from elsewhere. Aizu made a mental note to peel back the layers of this mystery, if possible.
The human gave his name as Mac, prompting Aizu to initiate the training scenario. The drones burst into a frenzy of activity, one group pursuing Mac as he hared off into the forest. Aizu did not have much time to watch him as a cluster of drones encircled him, blasting at the Arcosian from every direction. His drones had been assigned a higher challenge rating for their attack patterns, to compensate for the Arcosian’s greater speed and experience. Sadly, the maneuvers were becoming all too familiar at this stage.
Disappearing like a mirage, Aizu sped out of the gauntlet. Now above the cluster, he managed to knock one out with a bolt of energy before the rest turned to track him again. Zigging and zagging, he evaded their attacks in a blinding display of reflexes. One, two and three more drones fell quickly to his counter-moves as he hurled them forcefully to the ground. The remaining pair of active drones moved in swift, seemingly-irregular patterns, releasing rapid-fire bursts of energy ‘bullets’. As their numbers decreased, their movements became harder to track and predict.
Aizu plummeted the ground, skidding across the dirt and sprinting at high speed behind the tree line. He lured one drone after him, managing to confuse it with another after-image. The drone stopped to scan, leaving it vulnerable as the Warmaster leapt from concealment behind a cluster of shrubbery. With a ferocious chop, the drone was left cracked and inactive, half-buried in the soil. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he emerged from the trees, looking for the final drone.
In the clearing, he could see no sign of it. They were programmed to mimic the tactics of their targets, so it could conceivably be preparing a surprise attack of its own. Aizu's predatory gaze flitted about, scanning for any sign of motion. His ears strained for the tell-tale hum of their anti-gravity generators. Moments felt like hours as he sought the final attacker. Suddenly, he heard something behind him. Whirling, he saw only a few disturbed branches, swaying in the canopy. This was an unusually patient drone.
The hum of the anti-grav came again from behind, but before Aizu could even turn to face it, there was a heavy clash of metal on metal. Two battered and deactivated bots rolled in the dirt at his feet as Aizu spotted Mac emerging from the trees not too far away. He’d done well against his own drones apparently, which was impressive for a first-timer even at such an introductory challenge rating. Aizu straightened from his fighting stance, strolling to the drone case. Looking at the scores for the exercise.
“Not bad, Mac.” The Warmaster congratulated his training partner. “You scored pretty good. Didn't take any hits, solid time. Very nice,” He checked his own score. Close to his personal best, but not quite a new record. Mostly due to Mac eliminating one drone on his behalf.
Aizu felt somewhat sluggish after this latest exercise. He wondered if he had been over-training somewhat. His body needed rest and energy. It seemed a shame to leave the conversation, however.
“You seemed interested in my species. I’m heading back to my camp for some food and rest. We can swap some stories, if you’d care to join me.”

Mac nodded in response to the alien's praise. It didn't show under all of his clothes but be was sweating and breathing heavily. He hadn't been pushed like that in a long while. It was surprising to him how weak he was compared to some of the people on this world.
It was also very frustrating. Mac had gone from being the strongest on a whole planet to a weakling. For the past four years he had almost nothing but victory in the face if what others would consider certain defeat. He was determined to be the best on any planet.
The offer for food and rest caught him off guard. He became concerned and visibly tensed up. He needed the rest sure, but it could be a trick to take Mac out. He had done the same trick on new scavengers he came across. Most didn't deserve it, but it reduced the competition. Then again the people of this world seemed very trusting. I will go with you, he spoke, but I have my own food and drink.
Mac followed the being to the camp side it had made. He watched the ice demon's movements as he walked. They were the steps of someone who had experience in combat. He seemed to have quite the experience too. Aizu did take out three times as many bots in the same amount of time.
When they arrived Mac took a place by the fire pit and did something quite strange. He took off his backpack and rummaged thorough it without saying anything. He pulled out a collapsible shovel and began digging a shallow but large hole, about five feet wide by three inch's deep. When he was done he took off his coat and placed it in the hole, then covered the whole thing with dirt save for the hood.
If asked what he was doing he would say, My jacket is actually a living plant. It needs nutrients, sun, and water to survive. Its slightly bothersome, but it's tougher than some light armors and can regenerate itself. He said this with slight pride in his voice. It had been hell to obtain but it made up for itself in usefulness.
He looked at the changling for a few awkward moments before he spoke. So, Aizu, how long have you fought?
